My Fiancée and I have lived in the neighborhood for almost 2 years and Trattoria Del Sole has become our favorite spot. The food is always fresh and always so good. We feel like we’re at a loved ones house for family dinner when we eat here. I always go for the Ravioli Zucca or Penne with pink sauce & my fiancée loves the bolognese as someone who is gluten free. The fresh baked bread & Scampi del Sole is the best way to start your meal off. Staff is always so friendly and attentive. Love this place!!

Wow what an amazing hidden gem off of Ventura Blvd in Sherman Oaks. The food was incredible. I got the Gnocchi with a gorgonzola mushroom cream sauce. It reminded me of my own mothers cooking maybe even a little bit better...but don't tell her I said that. My gf got the penne arrabiata with chicken and the portion was very large that she had another meal after packing her leftovers. Our server Yadira was very attentive was gave amazing service. I highly recommend this place. They also have a great take out system if dining in isnt your thing. Thanks again

Beautiful restaurant, wonderful and funny owner, but the best part is the PIZZA. Probably the most flavorful and delicious pizza I have ever had. (dont ask for honey but it is really good)

Surprisingly lovely interior, they accommodated our group of 15 & gave us the most beautifully cozy wine-laden wooden private room. Our waitress was kind & patient & genuinely friendly. The food came out quicker than we anticipated, given the size of our group, & it was all excellent. My ossobuco was a world-changer! Very reasonable prices, given the quality of the food.

What a wonderful hidden gem in the valley, food was absolutely delicious and authentic. If you’re looking for yummy Italian comfort food you need to try this place. And the portions are huge, amazing value for money.

Excellent food! My boyfriend and I loved it. The pasta tasted so fresh and authentic we ended up ordering two rounds it was so good! Wish we got his name but the waiter who served us on 10/31/22 was excellent. We will be back next time we’re in LA!❤️

I used to come here half and year ago very often, but the food wasn’t the best so I stopped coming. Last week, I have decided I have decided to give it one more try and I had one of the best restaurant experiences. They have a new chef that is simply amazing and does a wonderfull job and also a really good service, Alex was our server and helped us to go through the menu, because they have a really big selection. This is a gem in the valley and I am glad I gave it a new chance.

We had dinner last night at Trattoria to celebrate my little daughter’s birthday, and it was such a beautiful experience. Even though the restaurant was busy, the manager truly went above and beyond to make sure my daughter felt special on her big day. He took the time to check on us, made her feel important, and added such a personal touch to the evening. It meant so much to us as parents to see her so happy and excited. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was wonderful. Thank you for making my daughter’s birthday so memorable. We will definitely be back!

The food is sooooooo good! From bread to appetizers to pasta and pizza, everything was delicious - one of the best shrimps I have ever had!! It’s much better than any other Italian restaurants in this neighborhood. Super cozy and it’s a family vibe, it may not be as trendy but if you care about food, this is really the place. Had the spaghetti and meatballs, cacio d pepe, pepperoni pizza, and fettuccine Alfredo. All were really and tasty, the cheese had a great pull on rhe pizza. Spaghetti and Cacio had great subtle flavor, pizza was good too, would like a crunchier crust but it was great overall. Service was fantastic. Always there with more water for the sunny Socal weather and a smile.

Great location. The entire atmosphere gave a warm, tranquil feel, and the cuisine was excellent. Although the kitchen was moving extremely slowl, the staff was still trying their hardest to reach up and provide us with the best experience they might. So, take your time and joy the pleaser.

The food is extraordinarily good. The service is fast and super friendly. The level of care from the owner/chef is magnificent. Using local products, fresh on daily bases and preparing them with the high culinary knowledge makes this restaurant different than others. I can not wait to see this hard working people receive their first @michelinstar. Two thumbs up0

The restaurant became our go-to local Italian restaurant. I rate it 5 stars for several reasons. The food is great and there is wide variety to choose from. The service is excellent. The three servers, Yadira, Anna and Gerando are a pleasure. (Yes, I know their names!) I even now know the name of the head chef, Manuel. One evening Manuel made arancini (fried risotto ) as a special appetizer. They were as good as the ones we had in Palermo. So I had to meet him. We go often and have never been disappointed. It has been over a year since I reviewed this restaurant and it has only gotten better because of the chef Manuel (Manny) Velasco. Tonight our dinner was spectacular, Shrimp Scampi in a white wine sauce over arugula for me and saffron risotto with scallops in a pomegranate sauce for my wife. Manny keeps us coming back especially with his soups and weekend specials. I have never seen the owner, but with Manny and servers Yadira and Chris he is doing it right. We can still easily talk to each other.

Was driving by Ventura Blvd looking for a place to chill and eat when this place caught my eye, I turned back went in and this place is set up beautifully with all the wine fridges. The pizza is crispy, soft, and non greasy. Haven't been in the valley for awhile but coming to this place is telling me to come back home 😆

First time at this restaurant. Nice small quaint place. The food was exceptional however the server was terrible. That is not going to stop us from returning. Hopefully he will be gone. They were streaming music with commercials!! So annoying & spoiled the mood, It wasn’t even Italian music. How cheap. Our Bill for two was $90.00 . We should have gotten more bang for our bucks.🤬.

Overall, a wonderful experience with fantastic food, great service, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back.

we've come here several times even though it's not close to where we live simply because the food is so damn delicious. we wanted to have my dad's 80th birthday party in the lovely private section in the back, but unfortunately, an unfortunate miscommunication caused the confirmation to have been lost. no problem- Chris, Mike, Manuel, and the staff figured out how to make things happen for the 14-person party regardless. they jumped into action to accommodate us and make our night very memorable! and of course, all the guests noted, that the food was so damn delicious! i know they made some more repeat customers after our party. A very nice little Italian restaurant with reasonable prices and excellent food. Wednesday for lunch and I felt a bit sorry for the one waiter as he seemed a bit overwhelmed at times. Our food was delicious and I've encountered a new top ten addition for my favorite oso bucco.

Where Italian charm meets Sherman Oaks chic. The pasta is homemade heaven, and the market has all the fancy stuff your pantry craves. Service is good, though a bit Hollywood slow. A great spot for carb-loading with a touch of flair!

Food is amazing. I can recommend the famous “Gorgonzola Schnitzel” and the pizzas. The antipasti are very good and authentic. Service is good but they should check in with the guests more often. Seems like they’re a little understaffed. Overall good restaurant experience.

My wife and I stopped for lunch on rare rainy Sunday and it was delicious, we ordered the burrata appetizer, buenisimo. The lasagna is my recommendation with the fresh pasta, out of this world. My wife also enjoyed the daily special made with beets. Will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

Very warm and familial service with real Italian chefs. The lady behind the counter on Friday and Saturday is a wonderful historian and mixologist, changing out the specialty cocktails every week-I mean they have chartreuse! Negroni and Aperol spritz were very well balanced with her homemade, organic bitters. I had the pappardelle pasta which was very good and the magherita pizza was hearty. I might recommend less cheese and more basil. Tiramisu was exceptional, so well balanced with the coffee fallacies and fluffy vanilla exterior

The food is pricy and don’t feel like you get a decent portion for the price. I ordered a meal and sat down. I wanted to dine in and later to find out that it has been packaged it to go. I was never asked if I was going to take it to go. Then when I expressed that I was going to eat here, I was told that my food packed already and it was too late.

Ordered take out fettuccine alfredo and it was excellent, but honestly the portion size was the smallest amount of food I've ever received from a restaurant. Literally 8 bites and I finished it. Didn't even cover the surface area of the bottom of the (small) take out box. It looked like somebody ordered pasta dining in the restaurant, didn't finish, and then I got the small amount of food left over. For 23$!! Embarrassingly small amount of food. I'm not even mad about the price, I get it, really nice Italian restaurant can charge $23 for fettuccine alfredo that costs $3 to make, but if you're going to do that at LEAST give me a meals worth of food. Such a rip off. Really tasty 8 bites, but overall very disappointed.

We ordered the octopus with arugula and little tomatoes. The octopus was tasteless and burned and some arugula leaves were old and soggy. The little tomatos tasted bad, like rotten, they were so old. Then I ordered grilled salmon and it was also burned. I pointed it to the waiter and he said that that was normal. The vegetables were tasteless. Then the bill came and they had added a percentage for "service"!? Then they had added the tip totals based on the typical tip percentages so you wouldn't have to calculate them. But the totals were based on the food AND the taxes AND the "service". So shameless! The worst dining experienced we had ever had!

Honestly i came to this restaurant because I read the good reviews and saw the positive stars people Gave them. I am so dissatisfied and disappointed by this place . We came 02/22/21 to order 2 chicken piccata plates and a house salad. Spent 67.00 dollars on those three items. Got home to under cooked chicken breast, no pasta who eats chicken piccata without pasta ???? The salad was bland just goat cheese and pecans and two pieces of bread 🥖. So disappointed I didn’t even call and complain because is not worth the time or fuss. Just completely over priced for low quality and incomplete food.

I ordered the risotto, which is terribly overpriced, for delivery and it never got here. When I called the restaurant, they were only interested in telling me it was not their fault. They told me to order through a different delivery service next time as this one (Chow Now) has proven to be unreliable in the past. It was only when I questioned why it was on me, the customer, to know which of the delivery services the restaurant has chosen to work with would not deliver in a timely fashion (or at all) that he uttered the word sorry. And not to acknowledge any responsibility. I can't tell you if the food is any good because it never arrived, even though the restaurant claimed it was picked up by the driver (an hour late). Still no apology from the restaurant or Chow Now. It was only after I got angry that they even offered to refund me.

Not Cacio e Pepe - absolutely no pecorino - n - just oily (but very good al dente) spaghetti. Very disappointing. If you want this dish order from Pasta Sisters, unfortunately they were closed. Won’t order this again unless I want spaghetti Aglio e olio .so sad pasta is my treat and this did not hit the spot. Waste of calories - carbs and anticipation.

I made a reservation to have dinner with a friend. It took about 7 minutes to be seated and we waited another 20 minutes for service. Several other tables arrived after us...all getting more service than us. A group of regulars sat next to us and had water, drinks, and orders in before we decided to walk out. We never got a chance to talk to our server. I highly encourage you to look elsewhere when looking for a restaurant.
