Great find! You go up to enjoy a beautiful sea view and to eat excellent handmade homemade pasta. I also added a delicious mixed antipasto platter. The desserts, also homemade, are excellent and delicious. Generous portions and top quality. The place is definitely dated, but honest, spotlessly clean, and authentic. The guy who runs it is super welcoming and helpful! 10 out of 10, we'll definitely be back! Thank you.
I went to this restaurant this evening with my wife. It's a rustic but very charming place, with friendly and helpful staff, fair prices, and generous portions. My wife ate the best brandacuju in Liguria. Well done guys!
Excellent restaurant, local friends brought us there. I have to say, the food was excellent, the service excellent, and the price excellent. We'll be back if there's room, even next Saturday. Luckily, there are still some authentic restaurants out there!
A truly positive experience! We called to see if we could have lunch, without a reservation and close to closing time, and they still reserved a table for us (which isn't always a given). The staff were all very friendly. The cuisine is traditional Ligurian and everything is homemade. Excellent value! We'll be back and, above all, we recommend it!
Excellent friendly restaurant with a classic regional menu. Great views from the tables on the terrace. Professional staff.
Dining at Alpino is like stepping into a cozy memory—where the food is hearty, homemade, and full of love. Perched on top of a hill, this charming spot serves up old-fashioned, country-style cooking that takes you back to Sunday dinners at grandma’s house. Every bite feels familiar and comforting, with flavors that are simple, rustic, and absolutely delicious. Combine that with the beautiful hilltop setting, and you’ve got a hidden gem that’s well worth the trip.
Definitely the best experience of the holiday. My partner surprised me with a surprise: we wanted to have dinner in a rustic place with traditional dishes. We started climbing the hill and arrived in this lovely village, a hamlet of Marina di Andora, nestled among the hills; a church, a few houses, and a restaurant: the Alpino di Conno. I have to be honest, for the moment I was a bit taken aback (the place was a bit dated, the sign "bar restaurant"), and at first I said to myself, "Help, where have you brought me?" I was, but I already knew given my boyfriend's consistently spot-on choices, completely reconsidered. Impeccable service, super professional, attentive, and welcoming waiters. We dined on the terrace overlooking the sea, and the temperature was a perfect 24°C (20°C in July). We started with the house appetizer; they brought us the cold one first, then the hot one; the polenta was very popular. For our first course, we opted for homemade tagliatelle with their pesto, delicious and light. Finally, the Ligurian-style rabbit, our rival. Since we're from Brescia and it's one of our signature dishes, we almost felt at home. We found it delicious, well-cooked, and the wild boar morsels were also very good. The portions were generous, the food was very good, the waiters were friendly, and the place was intimate and quiet, exuding a sense of serenity. The price was super affordable: €60 for everything, including water, refills of bread because we mopped up the sauces, a quart of wine, and a delicious amaretto semifreddo. What can we say about a place where we ask ourselves: would you recommend or return? Absolutely.
We discovered it by chance and it was a very pleasant discovery. A characteristic restaurant furnished like the restaurants of the 60s. They made me go back in time. In short, a dive into the past. The management is familiar. The courtesy of the owner who is also a young guy who returned home after experiences abroad with a baggage that he poured into this place he took over a couple of years ago is unique. Here they focus on quality with homemade pasta, side dishes, their own potatoes, homemade desserts are excellent. Here you can eat a typical Ligurian menu but also trout raised in the tank below the restaurant. The portions are super abundant and the quality excellent. Lastly, the final bill is a surprise for that!!! The prices are super!!! In short, if you want to get away from the chaos of the beaches of Andora, take a 20-minute drive and go up above Andora and find this little gem!!!!
A wonderful discovery by chance after a morning at the beach. Away from the hustle and bustle of the sea, I set out to find a restaurant outside of town. A spacious place reminiscent of the old days. A bit retro, yet modern. Family-run, the food is divine and with XL PORTIONS (house selection), from appetizers to first and second courses, all locally sourced, using the finest ingredients. The menu and wine list are well-crafted. Impeccable service... BRAVO! I've taken a truly exceptional culinary journey back in time. RECOMMENDED +++
My husband and I were there one evening, a typical Ligurian inland restaurant, with exceptional typical cuisine. I absolutely recommend the brandacijun, amazing wild boar and 0km trumpet courgettes. Good selection of wines, we were on the terrace overlooking the valley and the sea. Excellent service, the guys pampered us. Excellent prices. A must if you are in the Andora area.
Excellent traditional dishes from antipasti to desserts, great service and fair prices. Thanks a lot for a nice evening up in the hills above Andora!
An old-fashioned restaurant. The interior, though renovated, retains the retro charm of old-fashioned inland restaurants, a feature I appreciated. The cuisine is home-style, excellent, and generous in portions. The menu also features dishes you don't often find in the area, like trout (one of their specialties). The very friendly waiter took care of the service, the coffee, and the cash register, always maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor. The price was in line with the cuisine and the setting. I would gladly return!
This was the third consecutive summer I've visited Alpino di Conna with my family, but unfortunately this year I was disappointed. I'll start with a negative note: we had booked an outdoor table, but even though the rain had already stopped before we arrived (and the forecast didn't predict any more bad weather for the evening), they seated us inside. I've never been to a restaurant where, by the time we arrived, it had stopped raining and we were still prevented from sitting outside. I understand the need to be prepared for bad weather, but in this case they could have given us the option of sitting outside and, if necessary, moving inside. As for the food, unfortunately, the quality significantly declined. We ordered two brandacujuns, which were disappointing: the potatoes were almost whole rather than mashed, and the garlic and parsley almost completely covered the flavor of the dish. The fish, which should be the star ingredient, was absent. This is a real shame, because previous years were far from this poor version. The brandacujun from previous years was good, with well-mashed potatoes and the fish was well-presented, both visually and in taste. The cured meats appetizer was decidedly mediocre, of truly low quality. The only positive thing was the fried bread, which was good and well-prepared. The grilled trout was decent, but the rabbit didn't thrill me: average, neither good nor bad. Overall, I noticed a deterioration compared to previous years. Considering the distance and the difficult road to get there, I don't think I'll return. It's a shame, because it had potential, but now it's no longer worth it.
We went on December 31st for New Year's Eve dinner. The appetizers were sparse and completely tasteless. The tagliolini were decent, but the cannelloni was not. The baked cima was inedible, the roast beef was transparent, and the potato balls were incomprehensible. The dessert was quite good. The coffee was undrinkable; when we asked for a refill, they all disappeared! The staff was neither friendly nor attentive.
