Opinions de Onest Via Gerolamo Turroni
They have the best coffee and breakfast in milan . The staff are amazing and friendly. Lorenzo and Alessandro make the besat coffee.
I went to this restaurant with my family for my brother’s birthday. We were welcomed in a very warm way, as if we were having dinner at friends’. The place isn’t very big, which makes it feel cozy and familiar. They also have a lovely veranda and some outdoor seating — so I recommend booking a table in advance! We were asked whether we wanted to order from the menu or let the chef surprise us — we chose to trust the chef, and it was absolutely worth it. There were 10 courses in total: two starters (you must try their butter and “culatello”!), four appetizers, and four main dishes. We shared everything, and still ended up completely full. The portions were generous and perfectly balanced. We paired the meal with two bottles of wine, plus a glass of dessert wine at the end. If you’re not familiar with wines, don’t worry — the staff are real experts and can recommend the best options according to your taste and budget. We brought our own dessert from a patisserie, and they only asked for the ingredient list for HACCP compliance, which was perfectly reasonable. Throughout the entire dinner, the staff were very attentive and always ready to meet our needs. As for the price: it really depends on the wine you choose. The cost of the dishes is more than fair, considering the creativity and freshness of the ingredients. All their ingredients come from local suppliers who follow sustainable and ethical practices — they don’t use products from intensive farming. In the end, the total depends mostly on your choice of drinks. Overall, I found this place a truly refreshing experience — refined dishes that are creative yet approachable. I loved the evening and will definitely come back!
Very peculiar coffee shop with food. They only serve special selections of 100% Arabica coffee. Well roasted. And served with Lee acidity milk for cappuccino serving. Great choices of pastries. What we enjoyed most, however, was a cocoa bean infusion: extraordinary flavor with super energy kick 💪🏻! Thank you.
I have to say, if I could give Onest Cafe more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Our brunch experience there was nothing short of fantastic. We decided to try the Pane E Uova con Pancetta and Uovo Fritto con Verdure di Stagione, and let me tell you, the bread was unbelievably fresh and had a texture that was just like a piece of heaven! Each ingredient in our dishes was of top-notch quality, and it truly elevated the flavors to another level. But it wasn't just the food that impressed us – the staff were incredibly friendly, kind, and polite, which made the overall experience even more amazing. And can we talk about the interior design? From the cozy small backyard to every little detail and element used to give character to the place, the vibe was absolutely magical. After our meal, I couldn't resist stepping outside to soak up the sun while enjoying my coffee and diving into my book. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful dining experience. Thank you, Onest Cafe, for exceeding our expectations! You're truly amazing!
We came 2 times to this place . One time we came to have dinner and the other day we came to have breakfast. Both times we really liked our experience. For dinner we had a very good wine and tapas like food. I especially liked the yoghurt dessert. We also enjoyed the breakfast. They have a great selection of coffees. I had a pour over and the taste was amazing. So if you would like to have a good cup of hand brewed coffee, I really suggest this place. The barista is very skilled and is more than happy to share his passion for coffee.
Probably the best specialty coffee experience I've had in Milan. A great and beautiful location, which complements the diverse selection of coffees from different high-end roasteries. With a wide range of profiles available, pretty sure that any coffee enthusiast can find a cup to their specific liking, or have plenty to choose from to discover new flavours! I had the opportunity to try two coffees, one delicate geisha, which was beautifully brewed, which allowed us to really taste the different cupping notes. The other coffee with notes of strawberry was super sweet, creamy, and an absolute pleasure to drink. Another highlight: all coffees are served in a cup whose shape complements the flavour profile of that specific coffee. I was absolutely blown away and can't wait to visit this place again when I'm back in Milan!
Exceptional. Had a fantastic evening here. We had the tagliere of salumi and cheese as well as saussage which was incredible. The lamb and pasta following which was just as good i even forgot to take the photos. The cherry on top was the wine and the friendly staff who guided us through a wide selection of wines, and nailing the selection with 2 bottles of pinot noir. It was so good i ended up buying 2 other bottles to bring home. Looking forward to go back!
A very nice fines and a very lovely neighborhood, the details about this place is very authentic & unique! Kitchen order was ok, the cakes were really good! The coffee is really exquisite and made by a barista who understands all the tasting notes of a great coffee and always a nice outcome of a coffee order whenever we pass by 😃
Nice place for breakfast or brunch, dog friendly and with a laid back vibe. The babka we tried was especially good, recommended! Very good section of specialty coffees, as well. It can get very crowded during the weekend so booking a table is preferable (booked for approx 1 hour).
lovely place with a really cool menu and accommodating staff/baristas. a bit pricey but the people more than make up for it. we ordered an ethiopian espresso with lime notes and truth to be told it was almost undrinkable, it was so sour. we asked the waiter for some cream and/or sugar, and he said he‘d bring the barista over and soon enough, the barista was there and we could talk about the espresso. we explained what about the coffee wasn’t sitting right with us and he was kind enough to take the espressos and make a new drink for us with a different, more fruity ethiopian blend with milk so that it would taste „like a fruit yogurt“. and that it did! i’ve never had a coffee before that tasted like blueberries! to find a cafe that serves ethiopian coffee is pretty rare and to find one that transforms the beans into something almost entirely new is is even rarer. even though it took one try to find the perfect drink the staff/barista were very accommodating and i’m grateful for that. they also have a great matcha latte, not just coffee
The wine was amazing and the staff was lovely but I must be honest about the food, it was not so special. I didn’t like the jelly carrots and zucchini it was tasteless and the egg with cheese and ‘agretti’ just too basic for the price. I recommend a place like this for a good glass of wine and a relaxing afternoon with your friends.
Massive disappointment. I primarily came for the coffee and thought I’d have some lunch while there. To start with, restaurants that still force guests to scan a QR code to see the menu, do not understand what a poor experience that is. The menu was also not updated and not available in English. When the food came, the dishes looked way too simple and tasted absolutely bland. The beef tartare just had a few thin slices of roasted turnip on top, nothing else. Neither the beef tartare nor the tagliatelle had any flavour whatsoever. When I asked for salt, the waitress gave me a lot of attitude, wanted to crack the salt herself and then took the salt and pepper shakers away again. A different waiter later told me that they don’t use ‘a lot of salt in the kitchen’. More like no salt at all. In the end I didn’t even stay for the coffee. Absolutely awful.
