Piccolo ristorante trovato per caso girovagando per Genova e direi che siamo stati davvero fortunati! Abbiamo ordinato un antipasto, due primi e una bottiglia di vino. Posto bello, atmosfera rilassante, cibo ottimo e per finire prezzi più che onesti. Assolutamente consigliato!

Era tanto tempo che non frequentavo questo ristorante lho scelto per festeggiare il mio compleanno e stata da parte del titolare un'accoglienza stupenda come se fossi un cliente fisso poi mi ha fatto una sorpresa celebrando il mio compleanno con una candeline sul dolce non ho parole mi sono commossa il cibo ottimo e un grazie a tutti Angelo e Cinzia

Visited this little gem on a recommendation from a work colleague who says it's his favourite place in Genoa. After my 1st visit I can understand why. Truly amazing tasting steak. Very happy and helpful staff who made us feel completely welcome. We didn't reserve but they accommodated us, but I do say that if you want a table, reserve. I can understand why as the food is delicious and tables do get reserved to the max. Sorry I didn't get a picture of my food as it was so tasty to stop and take a photo, but I did get a picture of my beer glass. I will be back for certain. Thank you Prie Rosse

Really nice restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were kind, and the food was excellent — especially the pasta and desserts. Prices are fair, and everything felt relaxed and comfortable. The toilet was clean, though it could be a bit better. Overall, a great place that I’d definitely recommend to others.

The pesto was absolutely fantastic! The roast beef was also highly enjoyable (the tiramisu is quite. Service was a bit slow but acceptable. The narrow streets offer a very authentic setup and the prices are contained offering great value for money. What a great « Genovese » experience

You know it’s a good sign when most tables are already reserved – and the vibe just felt right the moment we walked in. My son had pasta and immediately declared: “Five stars. Best pasta I’ve ever had.” I went with the fish, recommended by our lovely waitress – and wow… it was next-level delicious. Then came dessert – and things escalated. My son ordered the Spanish Cake – twice. I had the Tiramisu – hands down the best I’ve ever tasted – and couldn’t resist following up with a divine Panna Cotta. Yes, we each had two desserts. That’s how good it was. The staff? Super friendly, warm, and welcoming. We’re definitely coming back.

Came here by chance, and had a great time. Staff were friendly and service was prompt. Food was so yummy - personally I really liked the beef slices and the tiramisu. Easily one of the best food I've had on my week long trip here! Thanks for a nice evening!

Been there with some friends for dinner on a weekday. I had the tagliata alla maniera prie rosse and it was very good. Their asinello cocktail was also good, quite sweet. For dessert I had their chestnut dessert, it was something in between a cake and a chestnut puree, quite good too.

Highly recommend. We both really loved the food here. Pesto with housemade pasta was perfect and the special of roast pork was some of the best I have eaten. Wonderful service in quiet off main street location.

Very nice restaurant, staff is polite and very friendly. The red meat was of very high quality. I ordered the sliced meat with Italian balsimic vinigar and caramelized onions, i highly recommend this take on the sliced meat (as there are multiple ways to prepare this dish, as stated on the menu). The price was also very low for the quality and amount we received. The service could have been a bit faster but that Wasn't a big issue. P.s a nice bonus is the fact they have an English menu, which is quite rare.

Locale molto accogliente e bello, servizio impeccabile, ciondolo alta qualità, una stella in meno perche cmq il conto (anche se la qualità è elevata), é un po' alto. 1 primo, 2 secondi di carne, 1 bottiglia di vino, 97 euro!!!!

In ligure il nome significa le pietre rosse, questo ristorante è un buon mix di ricette, dalle specialità liguri ai prosciutti spagnoli, e dai tanti piatti che il proprietario ha portato dai suoi viaggi in giro per il mondo, alla ottima carne. Io volevo farmi una serata ligure, quindi ho preso del merluzzo come antipasto, e poi ... i testaroli al pesto, un pesto OTTIMO! Sono addirittura tornato la sera dopo per fare il bis. Buono anche il tiramisù. Personale molto disponibile e gentile, ambiente accogliente, tante cose curiose alle pareti, come il quadro del peggior cliente. Unica nota da registrare, ho trovato i prezzi leggermente cari, in proporzione alla quantità.

Location ubicata nel centro storico di Genova. Qualità ottima forse unico bemolle la quantità delle portate. In tre abbiamo speso 80€ senza dolce e caffè. Abbiamo preso un antipasto, uno spaghetto al pomodoro, un tortellino al baccalà, una tagliata con contorno e 2 calici di vino della casa. Forse un po' caro per quello che abbiamo mangiato ma la qualità era al rdv. La selezione dei piatti é molto curata nei dettagli e il personale é molto gentile e disponibile. Ritengo questo ristorante un ottimo indirizzo da tenere in agenda.

Il personale è stato molto gentile e disponibile, ci hanno accolto con il sorriso e fatto accomodare subito benché non avessimo prenotato. La qualità del cibo è alta, mio marito ha preso i mandillo la pesto ed erano molto buoni, forse un po' pochino, ma ottimi, in generale cibo buono, varierei qualcosa nel menù, essendo in pieno centro storico darei oltre al pesto qualche piatto tipico in più. Ma questo è solo un mio parere. In generale lo consiglio. In uscita ci hanno anche regalato dei biscottini alle mandorle, sono stati davvero carini.

The food was tasty but not what I expected. I wanted real honest sardines and prawns. Instead I had smoked raw sardines and again raw prawns. My limited Italian did not help. Specials were explained profusely to other customers in Italian but not to me, unfortunately. All in all a pleasant experience, tasty food (on the pricier side) but should have researched it better and gone for something less "fancy".

Great food and polite staff (speaking no English however!). All the pasta dishes we tried were great; the smoked beef carpaccio as well. The tiramisu was also fresh and tasty. The only thing the restaurant should pay more attention is the situation of the toilet! I was ready to take away another star just for this reason! Everything is falling apart in the toilets! But the food is good and the prices are reasonable.

Authentic and cosy location, right in the old city centre. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Food is great with some classic dishes from genova but also other choices - always local ingredients. Prices are fair and relatively cheap .

Ristorante buono ma eccessivamente caro. Abbiamo mangiato a pranzo, ore 13.30. La cameriera molto gentile, ci ha proposto piatti del menù e del fuori menù. Le ordinazioni sono arrivate in poco tempo. Menzione speciale per le alici fritte. Il resto era buono ma non eccezionale. Nota dolente il prezzo, alto davvero, seppur siamo al centro di Genova. Non tornerei comunque.

Piccolo e caratteristico, piatti ben curati, purtroppo prezzi e servizio non all'altezza, il personale si comporta bene tuttavia l'esperienza è a volte rovinata dal principale che risulta a volte un po' arrogante e scortese. Selezione di vini interessante, menu scontato e altino come prezzi (una pasta al pomodoro costa 14€ più 2€ di coperto acqua a parte), giusto perchè possiate farvi un idea. Forse quello che vale la pena provare è la carne che merita attenzione. Per il resto andrei altrove, nelle vicinanze si trova di meglio come rapporto qualità/prezzo soprattutto a pranzo.

Locale molto carino, sempre pieno, in una delle vie più caratteristiche del centro di Genova. Tutti i nostri complimenti alla cucina: piatti curati, sapori autentici e ingredienti di qualità. Unica nota stonata: il personale responsabile, purtroppo, non all’altezza della qualità della cucina. Un po’ di cortesia e accoglienza in più renderebbero l’esperienza davvero perfetta.

This was a nice establishment with a friendly and attentive staff. The food was pretty good and offered a nice variety. I was not impressed with the house wine though.

I went here for Christmas dinner with my colleagues. The place is quite lovely and very typical Italian restaurant. It is quite famous for its meat options and my colleague totally vouch for the taste and quality of the meat here. Unfortunately there aren’t many options for vegetarians and you will end up eating a salad and pesto pasta like me. The pasta was ok and definitely wasn’t the best I had in genova. The wine offering is fantastic and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. They will help you in English to decide what’s best for you from the menu. Finally the desert I took was creme brulee which was quite watery and a bit disappointing. Overall it was a good place if you are a meat lover and if you are willing to pay more than 35€ per person.

Tasty food but terrible service. We had a reservation at 19:30 when the restaurant opens, so our order was one of the first. They brought us menu just after 10 minutes when I asked them to do that. I ordered pasta (on the photo) and I got it at 20:56(!!!). Of course we decided not to order anything else here and went to another place for desserts and coffee as we didn’t want to wait another hour. Food was nice but it's not worth the 1.5 hour wait. I couldn't even enjoy it.

Ristorante interessante rovinato da alcune scelte culinarie discutibili e da un servizio totalmente inadeguato. Prenotazione alle 20:15, ordine alle 20:25, cena finita ben oltre le 22 ordinando solo un antipasto e un primo, senza che lo staff si preoccupasse di noi. Acciughe marinate e tonno affumicato davvero ottimi. I primi sono arrivati oltre un’ora dopo, e gli spaghetti alle capesante erano quasi immangiabili a causa di una quantità davvero spropositata di limone (non menzionato sul menu, non menzionato dalla cameriera). Le trenette risottate ai gamberi rossi erano saporite, ma il gambero arriva in tavola freddo di frigo (tipo crudité) ma senza nessun tipo di preavviso da parte dello staff, il che rovina completamente l’impatto con il palato, e le zucchine sono in pezzi enormi. Prezzi per Genova davvero alti (70 euro in due senza alcolici; le due birre analcoliche rimosse dal conto a mo’ di scusa per l’attesa onestamente non bastano), soprattutto considerando gli scivoloni sia di sapori che di servizio, al limite dello scandaloso.

One can only pity the owner of this restaurant. He employs the most obnoxious, arrogant young staff imaginable - particularly the young man who appeared to be in charge. When confronted with a botched order he was aggressive and dismissive. I would avoid this establishment at all costs - unless the owner is there that evening. Unless all goes according to plan you will leave feeling abused. Stay away - it’s really not worth the risk when there are many restaurants within the immediate vicinity who actually like their customers.
