Outstanding overall experience at Paper Moon Giardino Restaurant Milan. A beautiful restaurant with a lovely outdoor garden where we had the pleasure to dine. Truly a hidden gem in such a busy city. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with zucchini flowers and eggplant Parmesan, followed by an incredible artichoke risotto. The highlight was La nostra Milanese, a perfectly breaded veal cutlet served with rocket salad and tomatoes. Everything was enjoyed with a great bottle of Italian red wine. The service was excellent, attentive, and warm, making the entire evening even more enjoyable. We finished with a delicious dessert that was the perfect ending to an unforgettable evening. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Milan
we had a family dinner and the atmosphere was really nice and quiet. I ordered chicken with onion and potato ( maybe it called galletto nostrano i don’t remember) the dressing was nice but the chicken were a bit salty. We had a tiramisu as dessert. we enjoyed our night together there.
One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve visited. Great food and service! Portions are also quite big for the price. Would love to visit again
I was there visiting my friend who is a watchmaker in Milano and my friend from California recommended to go to the restaurant PaperMoon I got there by 9:45 PM. They were almost gonna close but they did host me and everyone is so welcoming, nice & food was on point. Fresh. service is very friendly & my plate wasn’t expensive well compared to California. The restaurant location is bomb. I will come back again
In my opinion, this is by far the best Italian restaurant in Milan. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was warm and professional. The staff clearly know how to make international guests feel welcome. For me, the highlight was the filet steak — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Highly recommended!
We met a nice couple in our hotel that told us about this restaurant with high praise. We are so glad we made a reservation. We not only enjoyed the food, The service was excellent, and the ambience was superb. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent experience at Paper Moon. The milanese was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and tender inside. The pasta was al dente with well-balanced sauces. And the tiramisu was simply outstanding: creamy, light, and with just the right hint of coffee. Friendly service and an elegant but relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended.
This is one of those places where the atmosphere is the highlight of your experience. Service was efficient, and food was good. Tiramisu was nice. The veal, steak and octopus starter were also good. It's located in the busy fashion district, but generally a must stop when you're in the area. Please make a reservation and come early to secure the terrace seating.
Paper Moon is one of the most beautiful and delicious restaurants I’ve visited. The burrata was tasty and light, and the eggplant dish was absolutely delicious with fresh, natural ingredients that really elevated the flavor. The fish was light and perfectly cooked. The complimentary focaccia bread they serve is incredibly delicious — perfectly crispy with a rich olive oil flavor, truly amazing! The crème brûlée is the best I’ve ever had, and the tiramisu was also delicious and not too heavy. My top favorites were the eggplant dish and the crème brûlée — highly recommend trying them! Also, a special thanks to Mr.Simone, who helped us with our order. He was very polite, professional, and made our experience even better.
Peper moon is truly worth a visit ,Be sure to book in advance as it gets busy. You can choose between a cozy indoor setting or a charming outdoor area with a lovely view. We went for dinner and the welcome was wonderful. The appetizers were really tasty, the main dishes were spot on in flavor and presentation, and the desserts were simply delicious. Service was excellent throughout , I’d definitely recommend it.
A lovely birthday dinner for four with my very demanding dad, who always has something to remark, yet had no notes for this gorgeous, central venue right behind the old seminary, now the lovely Portrait Hotel. The food is excellent, and fairly priced compared to other high-end restaurants in the area. Attentive and kind service - make sure you book a table in the garden (although I’m sure a meal indoors in the winter will be just as much of a treat!).
Great place for some al.fresco dining. The property is beautiful and dishes were solid. Loved all the pastas we tired and the veal chop seems to be a popular choice for a lot of tables.

We had the eggplant parmigiana, the Paper Moon signature pasta, and the seafood spaghetti— every dish was flawless, both in flavor and presentation. This is classic Italian cuisine done at the highest level — simple, high-quality ingredients prepared with real skill and care. The staff were professional, friendly, and efficient, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable without being intrusive. From start to finish, everything was top-notch. Highly recommend a visit if you're in Milan and want to enjoy a refined yet relaxed dining experience in a beautiful setting.
Walked in off some maps reviews, couldn’t be happier. Excellent Italian cuisine , great garden seating (but you have to book) and every dish was excellent. The seafood spaghetti and prawn ravioli were both highlights. Service was truly excellent, Youssef and his colleagues could not do enough!

Delicious food, but slow service The food here is absolutely delicious - big thanks to the chef’s team! The prices are also very reasonable, which is great. However, we had to wait 30 minutes just for someone to take our order. When they finally asked “Are you ready to order?” I didn’t even know how to react! 😅 Great food and good value, but the service definitely needs improvement. Hopefully this was just an off day.
21 Oct 2025 Food here is above average. Since this is the first coming to this restaurant, so we ask some recommendation of their food here rather than choosing by ourselves. Those 2 appertizers and 2 mains recommended by our waiter are good. Their service and the atmosphere are great.

we stopped at paper moon to taste some typical italian pasta but to be honest, we were quite disappointed. even if you don’t consider the portion (they might say it’s typical for fancy restaurants), the taste was basic, nothing extraordinary. for dessert we had tiramisu and some sponge cake recommended by the waiter: tiramisu was too liquidy, sad for an italian place. basically you only pay for the service and the environment. there are probably other better places.
The service and atmosphere were nice, but the food — except for the starters — didn’t live up to the prices. The pasta dishes we had were very average, and the bread was all stale and hard. It seems people come here mainly for the atmosphere. I’ve been to Paper Moon restaurants in other countries, and the flavors were much better there. The Milan branch was disappointing. You can find far better and more affordable places in this city — I wouldn’t recommend spending your time here.
