Abbiamo scoperto l’Hotel Ristorante Falchetto grazie ad un compleanno con amici, visto che i festeggiati l’avevano scelta come location per la festa. Il ristorante si può raggiungere direttamente a piedi dall’arrivo della funicolare di Brunate (20 minuti a piedi tutta in discesa seguendo la strada asfaltata) o in auto, che potrete lasciare nel grande parcheggio del ristorante. Una volta arrivati la vista è davvero mozzafiato, una panoramica a 180 gradi sul lago, sedetevi fuori a uno dei tavolini all'aperto e ordinate uno spritz per "decantare" perché il panorama merita davvero un momento tutto suo: vi sembrerà di stare come sospesi e fluttuare, mentre lungo le sponde, 500 metri più in basso, il naturale corso delle cose va avanti. Il locale all'interno è in stile rustico, tavoli di legno e bellissime travi a vista a soffitto, arredamento spartano e tanti ricordi appesi alle pareti delle sale interne. L'ambiente è pratico, informale e pulito, bellissimi i due camini (uno per sala) con la cappa rivestita di corteccia. Non posso valutare pienamente il cibo perché i festeggiati hanno optato per un menu a forfait e non abbiamo potuto ordinare à la carte, ma i piatti che ci sono stati serviti erano sicuramente sostanziosi, buoni e ben fatti. Il personale è davvero gentilissimo e molto presente, le ragazze sono veloci e pronte ad aiutarvi col sorriso (sono riuscite anche a rimediarci dei plaid per permetterci di stare in esterno senza patire il freddo!) e ci hanno permesso di passare un bellissimo pranzo all'aperto. Torneremo sicuramente con più calma per assaggiare il resto del menu! Nel frattempo grazie ancora per la bella giornata e complimenti a tutto lo staff!
Fantastico ristorante (e Hotel) a conduzione famigliare. Siamo accolti dalla titolare che con garbo e affabilità ci mostra il nostro tavolo: in attesa dell'aperitivo ci godiamo il panorama ed il magico silenzio del luogo. Tutto buonissimo, tempi perfetti e ambiente ultra romantico quando si accendono le luci esterne dopo il tramonto. Mia moglie ed io festeggiavamo un importante anniversario e questa cornice è stato un regalo prezioso ed un ricordo indelebile. Un sincero ringraziamento a Nicole ed alla sua famiglia.
Era da tanto tempo che volevo andare hotel ristorante Falchetto ma non c'era mai riuscito, stasera ho deciso di andarci e devo dire che il panorama che si gode dal loro terrazzo è veramente notevole soprattutto al tramonto che è il momento della giornata che mi piace di più. L'ambiente è decisamente molto accogliente e i titolari molto disponibili, padre madre cuoca, Nicole e Umberto sono i figli che aiutano in sala sono molto simpatici e professionali, sanno consigliarti al meglio per le loro varie pietanze. Noi abbiamo provato il l'antipasto misto del Falchetto, salumi vari con dei ravioli con pasta fritta e gorgonzola, molto buona, bresaola con sciat. Come prima abbiamo scelto fettuccine ai funghi porcini e il riso in cagnone con il pesce persico, entrambe ottime scelte! Il risotto, al suo interno, ha una deliziosa sorpresa che non vi svelo così siete invogliati ad andare a provarlo e a scoprirla... Le porzioni sono abbondanti tali da soddisfare qualunque appetito... Infine i dolci, sempre preparati dalla mamma cuoca, sono molto buoni. Noi abbiamo provato il tortino al cioccolato dal cuore caldo e il tiramisù con crema al mascarpone con caffè. Da ritornarci prossimamente. Complimenti ai titolari del Falchetto! P.s.: anche la strada per raggiungere il ristorante ha il suo perché... ,,😀
Il posto perfetto per rilassarsi e mangiare dell’ottima carne con una spettacolare vista sul lago di Como, lo staff preparatissimo e sempre a disposizione, consigliatissimi i dolci la panna cotta più buona della mia vita, ritornerò sicuramente anche a dormire.
Posto veramente incredibile. La vista sul lago di Como è veramente stupefacente. Il servizio è perfetto e la cena è ottima . La combo vista + qualità + ottimo prezzo è vincente, lo consiglio senza dubbio! L'orario migliore è al tramonto, quando il lago di Como diventa bellissimo. Grandi!
Abbiamo celebrato il nostro matrimonio qui ed è stata la scelta migliore che potessimo fare. Il luogo è davvero speciale, c'è una vista meravigliosa, e l'atmosfera ci ha fatto sentire come a casa. Un enorme grazie a tutto lo staff per il duro lavoro e la dedizione. Ogni dettaglio era perfetto e il loro impegno ha davvero fatto la differenza. Inoltre, il cibo era delizioso! Ogni portata è stata preparata con cura e ha soddisfatto tutti i nostri ospiti. Un ringraziamento speciale a Emanuela, Roberto, Umberto e Nicole. In una giornata tutt'altro che tranquilla (25 Aprile), ci siamo fermati in gruppo per un aperitivo vista lago e città ed un successivo pranzo coi fiocchi. Location mozzafiato, il panorama visibile dai tavoli all'esterno è qualcosa di unico che vale da solo l'esperienza fatta, ma i piatti non sono da meno, a cominciare dal delizioso tagliere di salumi che ha accompagnato il nostro aperitivo. Vasta la selezione di vini, di tutti i gusti e per tutte le tasche. Il filetto di cervo è stato il piatto forte senza dubbio, senza nulla togliere alle pappardelle, ma sapore, cottura, qualità del taglio e l'abbinamento con i mirtilli lo hanno reso straordinario. Se tornerò a Como, mangerò di certo ancora qui. Prezzi bassi in rapporto all'esperienza.
Vista splendida, che da sola già varrebbe la visita, a cui si aggiunge fiorentina ottima e carta dei vini notevole! Abbiamo iniziato con uno champagne (krug) veramente speciale. Torneremo sicuramente in autunno per godere del paesaggio con nuovi colori!
Consiglio di passare una notte in questo Hotel Ristorante il Falchetto, troverete una accoglienza speciale da una famiglia guidata da Roberto, persona di grande esperienza e cordialità. Panorama unico sul lago con vista su Cernobbio. Consiglio di prenotare la cena e bere un buon vino, noi abbiamo scelto il Lambrusco ! Durante la cena abbiamo avuto la sorpresa di vedere una famigliola di Cinghiali curiosi. Camera pulita e con vista sul lago.
Posto meraviglioso in mezzo al verde e alla tranquillità vista lago. Ho pernottato una notte per lavoro, la camera ben fornita di ogni confort e materasso duro. La cena è stata squisita, 5 stelle alla cuoca. La colazione non tanto fornita ma anche questa di qualità. Ci tornerò sicuramente.
It was my greatest experience. La mia giornata in questo ristorante è stata speciale, soprattutto grazie alla Famiglia di Roberto! My birthday was perfect. I enjoyed a beautiful evening with delicious food and a flawless wine list. Umberto (Roberto’s son) has excellent taste! Nicol (Roberto’s daughter) and Anastasia (Umberto’s partner) were incredibly kind and made me feel like their most valued guest. Grazie mille alla Mamma per la torta!! I will definitely return soon, my friends! Questo luogo è rimasto nel mio cuore!
Cibo eccellente (nota di merito agli scrigni ripieni di burrata, alla bresaola e al filetto di cervo ai mirtilli), ambiente caldo e familiare. Inoltre il panorama è da mozzare il fiato.
Vista meravigliosa, abbiamo mangiato sempre molto bene. Camere con vista sul lago eccezionale, colazione e cena vista lago, luogo rilassante, abbiamo anche avuto la fortuna di vedere i fuochi d'artificio sul lago. Personale molto gentile.
Vista mozzafiato sul lago con l'accoglienza di casa. Nonostante la possibilità del parcheggio ho preferito approfittare della bella giornata per una passeggiata avendo i cani con me, un pò di salita al ritorno ma assolutamente piacevole. Ringrazio per l'accoglienza e la possibilità di avere un tavolo che fosse comodo anche per i cani ( essendo uno molosso). Da vegetariana non ho avuto nessun problema a scegliere dal menù nonostante sia conciso. Piacevole il posto e squisito il pranzo con l'atmosfera semplice e genuina. Tornerò volentieri!
Ho avuto il piacere di trascorrere una serata in questo Ristorante Hotel in occasione di un evento di degustazione di Champagne: Krug e Ruinart speciali. Ottima ospitalità: servizio cordiale, attento e accogliente. Di merito anche la qualità dei prodotti offerta. Splendida vista sul Lago di Como. Consigliato!
Posto con visuale mozzafiato,, un panorama che non smetteresti mai di guardare. Albergo immerso nel bosco Da persone cordiali e capaci. La qualità del ciclo è ben oltre la media, le camere sono molto curate in ogni particolare.
Un esperienza incredibile. Il posto è davvero mozzafiato, con una vista privilegiata sul Lago di Como, dove poter godere di un fantastico momento di relax. Il cibo è delizioso: si nota che i prodotti sono di alta qualità, spesso caserecci e vengono preparati alla perfezione. Il menu include anche offerte che possono sembrare insolite ma che rispecchiano il territorio e una volta provati ripagano decisamente della scelta. Infine una nota speciale per i proprietari, la famiglia di Umberto rende unico questo posto, con la loro premura e attenzione ci hanno fatto sentire a casa e ci hanno regalato un bellissimo pomeriggio. Organizzo spesso cene di gruppo in questo ristorante e ogni volta è una conferma: rimane una tappa imperdibile per chi visita Como. La conduzione familiare si percepisce in ogni dettaglio, dall’atmosfera calda e accogliente alla cortesia del personale. Il cibo è sempre eccellente, preparato con cura e ingredienti di qualità, accompagnato da una selezione di vini davvero notevole. E poi, la vista... semplicemente impareggiabile. Un luogo dove tornare volentieri, ogni volta come fosse la prima.
An unforgettable place in every sense. The atmosphere created by the family who run this restaurant and guesthouse is unlike anything else - the closest comparison would be a warm, welcoming, genuinely loving home. The location itself is absolutely magical, but it’s the way guests are looked after that turns a beautiful spot into a truly exceptional experience. The view alone would easily justify paying two or even three times more for both the meal and the stay - and then come the little surprises, like wild boar wandering just below the window. And of course, the food: the owner’s wife cooks with such skill and heart that every dish feels like a highlight in its own right. The service is wonderful, thoughtful, and sincerely caring. Just one piece of essential advice: if you’re arriving by car, follow the owner’s directions exactly. Do not rely on Google Maps - trust him, and you’ll get there safely and without stress. A magical stay. Highly recommended.
This place is absolutely magical. We arrived at sunset and had the most delicious dinner of pastas (bolognese and gnocchi) and steak with a bottle of wine before finishing it off with the homemade desserts (tiramisu and apricot tart). The ambiance is unbeatable along with the service. Run by the sweetest family who even gave us a ride home

We had such a wonderful and special time at Falchetto restaurant to celebrate our bachelorette party. The view on Como is breathtaking, the restaurant feels remote and isolated, away from the crowds in the nature. You can feel the family run approach from the start. They were super accommodating and made our event truly special - the decorations (way beyond what we asked), the homemade cake, and they even got us after we asked an Aperol XL size which made our evening with the bride super fun. Amazing value for money and taste! They also brought us by van back to the funicular, and helped us ensure we were on time. I'll definitely return, and next time maybe stay overnight. Thank you so so much, it's been an unforgettable experience! P.s. on the way there, we took a funicular and exited at the middle station with a 15 min hike to get there.

We were staying at an Airbnb in the area of Brunate, and one of our organizers decided the first night of dinner would be at the Ristorante Falchetto. Thus, they made reservations for the 7 of us for 6 o'clock. I've added a couple scenic pictures or videos that you can see from the restaurant outside seating area. The view is really captivating and just beautiful, not only at dusk, but also at night when all the lights come on across the lake. Just a comment up front that we visited the restaurant to dine the evening of Thursday, 07/17/2025, and we had such an enjoyable evening that we decided to rebook another evening to dine on Sunday, 7/20. On our 7/17/2025 dining experience, there were some special occasions going on, where two (2) separate parties showed up for small engagement celebrations. Obviously, congratulations were offered. On both dining occasions, we had a young lady, our server, Anastasia, take care of our table. She did a fantastic job in handling our group of 7 people and making our dining experience very, very extraordinary. She recommended dishes, wines, and kept our table service very good. I would recommend that if you're going to dine at the restaurant, that you make a reservation. This is because the outside seating is somewhat limited, and so is the inside seating. Both areas are comfortable, but just remember, you'll be competing with any hotel guests that may be staying on the property to dine. When we arrived fornour outside reservation, Anastasia greeted us and showed us to our table. She took our drink orders and made some suggestions on wines and/or other beverages. When she returned with our beverages shortly thereafter, she then took our dinner orders. As you would guess, with us being first time visitors, we had several questions, which she answered. I will note that she is fluent in Italian and English, and I'm sure a few other languages too. The first visit on 7/17, I ordered a Turkey filet. I was not sure the size of the filet that was going to be presented, but it was it was enough of a meal to fill me up and tasty. I didn't get any sides other than just enjoying an nice glass of red wine. Others in our group ordered small meat filet, T-Bone, or fish. No one had any complaints about the food or the taste. I'm guessing we went through 4 bottles of wine and a bottle of champagne on this evening. Our second visit, on 07/20/2025, we had Anastasia as our server again and we started outside. We moved inside after rain moved into the area. I will note that it was 50-50 chance whether it was going to rain on us or not. Luckily, Anastasia and the staff moved quickly to move us inside, where we stayed the remainderof the evening. Note, we were in the dining room closest to the kitchen. It is pictured in one of the photos attached. On the second visit to drink I ordered a beer and was brought out a Moretti full liter beer, which was a little bit larger bottle than I expected, but nevertheless the less it tasted good. My partner and I decided to split the T-Bone that we saw the other night, order by another guest in our party. So, that's what we ordered. What's interesting about the way it's prepared is that the meat is brought out rare, on a hot marble plate. So, you don't touch the plate, obviously because it will easily burn you. But, the longer you leave the meat on the plate, more the meat cooks to your liking. You can obviously move the meat around using a fork to cook it the way you like. The meal was accompanied with a salad, and we ordered Tiramisu for our dessert. It was really a really a good meal. Summary, Anastasia did a fantastic job taking care of us. The food was real good, especially the T-Bone, and the view of the Lake is very nice. I hope that if you decide to visit the restaurant that your experience is as good or better than mine. Again, I do not have any actual experience with the hotel located at this place, so I cannot offer any comments on it.

It is the most beautiful place with the most delicious food and amazing service. They were so kind to give us a lift back to the funicular as my husband has knee issues. Thank you for the wonderful evening. Hopefully, I will be back speaking a bit more Italian.

Family owned and operated hotel and restaurant. The view is amazing, the food was incredible, and the hosts were very friendly and welcoming! I recommend making reservations because it does get busy during normal dinner hours. Overall an amazing experience, so much so we went both nights during our stay in the Brunate area
This was one of the most memorable dinners that I've had in Italy! First of all, of course, the view was stunning, but it would be nothing without the absolutely delicious dinner and the most hospitable family that made us feel so welcome! I must say that it was quite a walk from the funicular (totally worth it), but they do also accommodate with a car ride if you ask!
I saw this place after a hike, it was the perfect spot to relax and have some food. I checked the room and they were clean, comfortable with beautiful views. The service was the best and welcoming 🤍🫶🏼
This is a family run hotel with very nice view from the rooms. The owner and family are very friendly and helpful people. The only downside is the location. Need to drive here for convenience. Also, the rooms are not soundproof with very small shower cabin in the bathroom. Other than these, this is a very nice hotel with good food and drinks.
In short: This place is a must visit if you are in Como! While I do recommend coming here by car if it's possible, the view, the friendly and helpfull staff, the food and the general charm make it more than worth your while to go here. We went there to have dinner in the evening. We got to watch a beautiful sunset. When it got darker and a little cold (it was a very windy night), the staff gave us some warm blankets so we could eat the rest of our meal outside and keep enjoying the view. The whole meal was cooked by the mother of the family and tasted great. Not to mention the large portions. After our meal the staff offered a ride back to the cable car which was much appreciated having such full stomachs. I could not recommend this place enough and should I ever find myself in Como or Milan again I would make an effort to return!
Highly recommend if you are staying in Como or Brunate. Food is delicious and reasonably priced for what you are getting (not the cheapest place but also not the most expensive). They have gluten free bread and gluten free pasta available for coeliacs. The only thing better than the food is the view which is stunning. The service is also great and they make you feel at home (the son even offered to drive us back to Brunate). This is more accessible if you have a car because it is a decent walk from Brunate (20 odd minutes) and the way back will be uphill, but we managed it fine (burnt off some of the calories).
An utterly magical experience. The views are enchanting, the servers kind & patient, the food is divine. I genuinely believe this was one of the most special restaurants I’ve ever been to. The cut of beef was phenomenal. I can’t think of a steak I’ve ever had which came close to comparing. And the gluten free spaghetti was top notch. It’s a winding road to get here, but it’s worth every last tight turn up the mountain! In the end, you’ll find paradise 😊 (PS - they graciously helped us charge our electric car we were renting, which was a very helpful bonus to the night!)
Amazing location with a fantastic view. This is a family owned business, and I can only recommend this place if you are looking for a quite and cozy restaurant with breathtaking views. Also, this was a recommendation of our local hosts, so if you want to have a local experience - there is no better place. They also have a few rooms, and we’ll be staying here the next time we come to lake Como. Just an amazing escape from the big city life.
Beautiful view on the mountain in Como. Convenient location via the tram plus 20 mins walk. Very very good food, selection of wine and friendly host. If you decided to stay, this is also a hotel with clean, comfortable bed in white sheets and all the essentials, breakfast included. The host will take care of you so well that you feel like home away from home.
Breathtaking view! The small road to come there is quite a challenge but there must be an easier way I think. The personnel is very friendly and gives you a warm welcome. The food, wine and breakfast are very good! Very quiet and authentic place you must visit👍

Cena fra amici in questo ristorante che ha come primo impatto una vista stupenda sul lago di Como e un' accoglienza familiare. Ho optato per un' ottimo antipasto di lago e un RISO IN CAGNONE CON FILETTI DI PERSICO che mi ha soddisfatto a pieno! Il VERO riso e pesce persico che i Comaschi Doc conoscono! Non quello che ti "appioppano" nei ristoranti turistici,ma quello preparato come vuole la ricetta delle nostre nonne Davvero complimenti!!!!! The place was deffinitely worth the walk from the funicular. The view was stunning. We ate outside for appertizers and moved inside when it started raining. The restaurant was cozy and the food was simple local food, yet very good. I’d recommend the tryffel pasta, it was excellent and definitely worth the price! Very good wine list and recommendations too. We also got a car lift to the funicular from the owner since the weather was not good. All in all would definitely recommend this place!
