Great experience! The food was truly delicious. The boiled meatballs were excellent, and the baked cabbage was a wonderful discovery. The service was courteous and friendly. Congratulations!
A remarkable experience! One-of-a-kind mortadella cappelletti. All pasta is homemade. Not to mention the almost limitless and remarkable wine and liqueur list. Perfect service: fast, friendly, and skilled at recommending the perfect pairing for each dish. If you're in the area, this is a must-try.
Osteria lagrandissima presents itself as a welcoming, well-maintained, and tastefully decorated restaurant. The menu changes frequently and offers a limited selection of carefully selected appetizers, first courses, second courses, and any off-menu items, each one more delicious than the last. The staff is friendly and attentive, never intrusive. Exceptional value for money. This restaurant is perfect for a romantic dinner for two, or for a dinner with friends or family.
If you are looking for an experience that combines the culinary tradition of the Po Valley with a welcoming and contemporary atmosphere, Osteria Lagrandissima is the place for you! Located in the suggestive “quasi-countryside” of Milan, near the Naviglio Martesana, this osteria opened in the spring of 2022 and is a real discovery that warms the heart and delights the palate. As soon as you cross the threshold, you are welcomed by a minimal but warm environment, with light furnishings and refined details that convey a sense of authenticity without frills. The outdoor garden, large and perfect for summer lunches, is an oasis of peace where you can enjoy a meal in the shade of the sun, accompanied by an eclectic playlist. The cuisine is a hymn to tradition, but with that touch of creativity that makes each dish special. The fresh pasta, expertly handmade, is the real highlight: the ravioli with gorgonzola and blackberries and the tagliatelle with white pork and fennel ragù are simply divine. Among the appetizers, the bigne paté and caramelized onion, the pasta frittatine, the testa in cassetta and the pork rilette conquer with their refined simplicity. The cellar is no less: a selection of natural and niche wines, which pair perfectly with the dishes, ask the sommelier for advice! The service, managed by a young team, is impeccable: friendly, attentive and always ready to tell the story behind each dish. The prices? Absolutely honest: a quality-price ratio that makes the experience even more satisfying. In short, Osteria Lagrandissima is a place where the food tells stories, the wine warms the soul and the atmosphere makes you feel at home, despite being just a stone's throw away from the hustle and bustle of Milan. An address to mark in the diary for those who love to eat well, spend the right amount and leave with a smile. I will be back soon, and you don't miss it
Osteria Lagrandissima is a wonderful place. Impeccable service, friendly staff, excellent food. A restaurant worth discovering and supporting. It's now one of my favorite places in Milan, and I can recommend it to everyone. The menu changes frequently, a sign of the restaurant's great attention to seasonal ingredients and customer needs. You'll always find a wide selection of appetizers, such as beignets with liver pâté, onions, and olives, and panelle with gorgonzola fondue. I recommend trying them all, sharing them with your table. For first and second courses, you'll find a selection of four rotating dishes, always homemade with seasonal ingredients. Among these, I'd like to mention the excellent tagliatelle with meat sauce and the ever-present chicken thigh and drumstick, marinated and served with salad or vegetables depending on the season. A simple and balanced menu, with simple flavors, certainly, but elevated by undeniable skill in the preparation and selection of ingredients. Even the desserts are well-balanced compared to the rest of the menu. The young and well-trained staff is, in my opinion, one of the Osteria's greatest strengths. They'll make you feel at home, without being intrusive as is often the case in Milanese restaurants. Special mention goes to the Sommelier, who knows the history of every wine in the cellar and brings it to the table without too many frills. Ask for advice, and you won't regret it. Above all, the love and passion the Grandissima team has for their restaurant shines through. This passion will shine through in every detail of your experience, from the welcome to the bill. Go there.
Nice
A GREAT surprise! Trying it on a Tuesday evening for two, I know it's best to book in advance for the weekend. We chose two appetizers, two first courses, two desserts, an excellent bottle of Marche rosé, water, and two liqueurs. It's been months since I've found a restaurant where all the dishes were truly excellent. The service was super professional yet informal; we felt very comfortable. My only complaint is that I'd let a little more time pass between courses, but perhaps on a night with more people in the dining room, the wait would definitely be longer. If it were up to me, I'd go back every week; highly recommended! It's always nice to see young people starting new projects and trying their hand at the restaurant business, especially in a complicated city like Milan, and it works. WELL DONE! The price was very fair for the choices we made, considering that the wine alone was €30 out of a total of €110.
A round of applause for this young crew who run this place...it's amazing! We tried it yesterday: excellent food, superb fresh pasta, a welcoming and informal atmosphere, an outdoor courtyard that truly feels like being in the countryside, and attentive, helpful, and friendly staff. Specifically, we ordered fried artichoke appetizers (very good), mortadella cappelletti (delicious), and boiled meatballs (superb); followed by ravioli del plin with butter and sage (10 out of 10), tagliatelle with Fassona beef ragù (delicious), and asino tuna sauce (good). Dessert and coffee to finish. The price was more than fair. Definitely worth trying again!
Great place, it’s worth a visit every month
Imaginative top quality food without being fussy. Incredible flavours. Great wine list. Super helpful friendly staff. A lovely experience I would highly recommend to any foodies - worth the travel. Will definitely be back.
Charming service but not intrusive. Translated the entire menu for us. I tried things I very occasionally have - hare and then rabbit - and they were both delicious. I wish them every good wish for future success
great food, great wine, awesome stuff!

Boiled beef meatballs were very enjoyable, though I might have made the rosemary mayonnaise served with them a bit more punchy. Good food, friendly, young, and pleasant staff, and a very nice outdoor seating area. A simple yet well-kept place to enjoy good food — a rarity nowadays.
My partner and I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. The food didn't disappoint; on the contrary, the dishes were truly well-crafted, with great care taken in both the preparation and the choice of ingredients. The first courses were exceptional, but the real revelation was the second courses: mutton sausage and onion... worthy of applause! The service was also perfect, giving us plenty of time to chat between courses. The real flaw, however, is the wine list: not only is it quite limited, but the prices, both by the glass and by the bottle, are truly exorbitant! Another downside, compared to the applause for the food, is that it's unclear who runs the place: a different person always comes to your table, but no one ever asks how things are going or if you liked what you ate. We'll definitely be back, but we think they can do even better :)
I ate here with my family; we ordered four appetizers, three main courses, and a first course. The food was very good and authentic. The quality was very high, the only downside being the slightly high price and the customer service that lacked towards the end of the meal. Definitely a great job by the guys, there's still room for improvement, but they're on the right track.
I recently dined at Osteria Lagrandissima in Milan, and overall, the experience left me feeling underwhelmed. I had booked a table for one in the garden and arrived at 7:30 pm to find the restaurant nearly empty, with only one other table occupied. Despite this, I was told my table would be indoors. Initially, I didn’t mind, but after seeing how lovely the garden was, I wished I could have sat outside. They likely closed the garden due to the low occupancy, but it felt like a missed opportunity. The wine recommendation, a white from southern Italy, was the highlight of my evening. Fresh, crisp, and exactly what I was in the mood for. Moving on to the food, I opted for two starters and a main. Starter 1: Bignè with Chicken Liver Patè, Caramelized Onions, and Olives (€2.50) The standout dish of the night—though, unfortunately, it wasn’t without its flaws. I love a good chicken liver paté, and the flavor was on point, rich and savory. However, the bignè itself was soft and a bit too moist, as if it had been sitting in a damp fridge for too long. That slight sogginess detracted from what could have been a stellar bite. Starter 2: Fried Meatballs with Rosemary Mayonnaise (€7) These were essentially meat falafels, and while the concept was interesting, the execution left much to be desired. The meatballs were dry on the inside, though the rosemary mayo did its best to salvage the situation. Overall, they were just okay—nothing memorable or worthy of ordering again. Main: Roman Style Gnocchi with Mint and Tomato Sauce (€14) I was curious to try this dish, as I was told it’s different from traditional gnocchi, being made with flour and baked. When it arrived, I was surprised by its appearance—it looked more like tofu blocks than the gnocchi I’m used to. The texture was soft, mushy, and slightly reminiscent of polenta, which I actually liked. The flavor was heavy on cheese and tomato, but it lacked depth, and I found myself wishing for something more complex in the taste. The service started strong, with the staff being very helpful and friendly. Although I don’t speak a word of Italian, they did an excellent job explaining the menu to me, which I appreciated. However, as more guests arrived, the place started to feel a bit understaffed, the service became scarce, making it difficult to get the attention I needed. All in all, the meal was mediocre at best. After looking back at some reviews online, I may not have chosen the best dishes on the menu, but for €68 for one person, I expected more. There are plenty of better restaurants in Milan at this price point. I wouldn’t recommend Osteria Lagrandissima to my friends, nor do I see myself returning. One final note: the restaurant is located in a residential area, and it seems to draw mostly locals. If you appear “international” or a bit “different,” you may stand out. Throughout the evening, I had the uncomfortable experience of being stared at by other diners at two nearby tables, which made me feel watched the entire time. It was an odd and unsettling vibe that added to my overall dissatisfaction with the evening.
