I was blown away by how enjoyable our lunch was here. I have low expectations for fast casual dining, but Carrabba's really impressed me. Our server was friendly and proactive. The food tasted great. The dining room was at a conversational volume. The TVs were aimed at the bar, not the dining room. All five of us enjoyed the taste of the food, even the kids. I haven't been to a Carrabba's in 20 years, but we'll be coming back to this restaurant soon. My favorite was the Sicilian soup, because it tasted exactly like my Sicilian Grandmother used to make it.
They Cater!!! I went to pick up large order, and I was greeted with kind people, who let me into their establishment, even though they weren’t opened. I can’t remember her name, but I could tell she was BOSS LADY!! She was so kind but powerful! Like, handling business, but being kind enough to let me in, to use the restroom! There were 2 gentleman as well, busy, running around getting things done, and still provided kindness! They had a timeframe for pickup, and they got in done in under that timeframe! Professional, and you already know their food is delicious! Thank you guys!! -A forever customer, and Grubhub Driver😉
Ryan did a great job making it so my wife didn’t have to cook on Valentine’s Day. I ordered a couple days in advance and kitchen didn’t quite know what was going on. He pushed it through perfectly, and he demonstrated that he is far more capable than what this job would normally require if any of the Carabba managers are watching this. You need to promote this dude he’s a good egg and he represents your company well
Love this place. Great food. Great service (Steven is wonderful). A nice place for a relaxed dinner with family and friends. I had the rigatoni Al forno with sausage—HIGHLY recommend!
Totally surprised by the food, service and atmosphere. Had only had take out previous to this visit. My aunt and I shared the surf and turf with a most tender filet and perfectly cooked shrimp over pasta Alfredo. The house salad was chilled and delicious. The complimentary bread with scrumptious herb and olive oil dipping sauce was additive. Our waiter was wonderful. Looking forward to return visits.
Our favorite restaurant! You cannot beat the food. It is the best tasting Italian food ever! Edward was our great server. He handled a somewhat weird situation with an unruly customer very well while maintaining total professionalism and friendliness.
What a great place to get a quick lunch. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Amber was a delight, and my lunch was under $20! I would definitely recommend the 10 piece chicken tenders and fries. What a great deal!
We had a wonderful experience! Steven, our server, was wonderful. He was very attentive to us. Made sure we were enjoying our dinner and was very personable! He made our experience extra great!! Our food was amazing too. The restaurant is very clean and welcoming.
Price is too high on the Cesear salad! Use lettuce cheese, chicken , and croutons. The price doesn’t reflect all you get with a Cesear salad. Please drop the price back to $17. Even though that is still expensive and my husband won’t buy me a Cesear salad anymore cause of the cost of it. But it taste great and is amazing! 🤩
Edward was my server today. I was having a horrible day. Edward made my experience so much better than I had been having. Edward had great recommendations on the menu. I had the Scampi for an appetizer, blackberry Sangria was soo good that he recommended. I had the filet with the Bryan topping which was amazing. My sides were Cesar salad, grilled asparagus and fettuccine Alfredo. For dessert I had the Tiramisu which was Splendid. Thank you Edward for making my day and my 1st time Experience as a visitor to Austin a great one.
My friend and I came in Sunday afternoon. Actually we had intended to go to Outback but it was closed down. Carrabba's was right next door so we decided to try it. What a great experience! We received the best service from Edward. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was welcoming. The manager even stopped and chatted with us. We will be back, and will ask for Edward.
After 4 years of living overseas and finally making it down to a Carrabba’s where we now live. Steven was our waiter he was very attentive and made even my girls laugh at their cheese pull. Amazing experience. Well worth the hour drive to eat here from home! Will be returning. Thanks again Steven.
Carrabba’s truly outdid themselves with the Duckhorn Vineyards evening — it was an absolutely magnificent experience from start to finish. The wine pairings were thoughtfully curated, the food was perfectly executed, and the pacing of the evening allowed guests to fully enjoy and appreciate each course. One of the best parts of the night was the $10 take-home entrée option, which offered a generous variety of choices. It was such a thoughtful and guest-friendly touch — incredible value and a perfect way to extend the experience beyond the event itself. What truly elevated the night, though, was the outstanding care and attention from the front-of-house manager, Laura H. Laura went above and beyond to my table mate and I felt welcomed, comfortable, and well taken care of. Her professionalism, warmth, and genuine passion for hospitality were evident throughout the evening. She seamlessly managed the event while still making time for personal touches that made the experience feel special and memorable. Events like this are why Carrabba’s stands out — excellent food, great wine, and leadership that clearly cares about the guest experience. A huge thank-you to Laura H. and the entire team for creating such a wonderful night. I would absolutely attend another wine dinner here without hesitation.
As a first time customer, my experience here was great! Lezae is the server you would love to have. He is very knowledgeable of the menu and make great suggestions! I will definitely be back and will request him on my next visit.
Our waiter Lezae went above and beyond. We had refills before they were needed. Food came fast. He was very pleasant and polite. He recognized us from a previous time we had him as a waiter. I would love to have him wait on us anytime we come.
Carrabba’s Italian Grill on Research Boulevard in Austin recently catered an event for our company, and the experience exceeded expectations on every level. The food was outstanding, fresh, well presented, and perfectly suited for a professional setting. Portions were generous, flavors were consistent across the spread, and everything arrived on time and ready to serve. Our team shared nothing but compliments throughout the event. What truly set this experience apart was Alberto. His professionalism, organization, and attention to detail made the entire process seamless, from planning through execution. He communicated clearly, ensured every detail was handled, and delivered a level of service that reflected genuine pride in his work. Alberto went above and beyond to ensure our event ran smoothly, allowing us to focus on our team instead of logistics. That level of reliability and care is invaluable when hosting a company event. We would absolutely trust Carrabba’s with future corporate catering needs, and we highly recommend working with Alberto if you want a polished, stress free experience.
Had a great time with my group of friends here. Its been a long time since ive been to a carrabba's they've become more high-end than I remember but it was still a great time and the restaurant manager Andy i think her name was she was so friendly. Something of note for you cold people it was pretty cold in the restaurant so bring a light sweater. As a big man myself I was fine but all my girlfriends said they were cold.
We split, the Tuscan Breadstick Tower, Asparagus, & Carmel Apple Cheesecake. Entree Chicken and Shrimp spaghetti Carbonara & side Cesar salad. All of it was fantastic, the chicken tender juicy and very flavorful, pasta al denta, sauce creamy and flavorful with lots of bacon and tomato pieces. Cesar salad on point with plenty of dressing and cheese. Asparagus was perfectly done with the right amout of seasoning to enhance it taste without overpowering. Tuscan bread tower are pillow soft bread slices of garlic and butter goodness, we skipped the marinara sauce and just dipped it in our entree sauces. With little room to spare we shared part of the delicious Carmel Apple Cheesecake. I left with a togo bag full of leftovers to enjoythe next day. And yes thewere even better the next day. Nice atmosphere with music playing in the background, but still low enough to enjoy a conversation with out shouting or straining to hear. Service was on point attentive, gracious felt well attended to. Even staff not assigned to us checked to see we were ok. Price matched the quantity and quality of the food & drinks. We will be back.
Carrabba’s Italian Grill in Austin, TX has always been our go-to spot whenever we want a cozy, romantic date night—or when we’re celebrating our anniversary or my wife’s birthday ... I can't believe I haven't written a review for it yet. On our most recent visit, they really outdid themselves with a special wine-and-charcuterie promotion. The glass of red wine came with the cutest mini charcuterie board—perfectly portioned to whet the appetite. It was a delightful little bonus to start the meal. We also can’t say enough about their shrimp scampi—it’s hands down the best we’ve ever had. It’s so good, in fact, that we order it every single time we visit. The warm bread and flavorful garlic sauce surrounding the plump shrimp just can’t be beat. One of the highlights of dining at Carrabba’s is the staff. The service is consistently top-notch, and whenever he’s there, we always request Jay as our server. He goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome and well taken care of. The restaurant itself is always clean, and the ambience is warm and inviting—just what you want for a special night out. They also seem to run great happy hour specials that help draw in business—though I can’t say for certain if the happy hour is seasonal. Whatever the timing, it’s definitely worth asking about. And for added value, they offer a $10 to-go entrée that’s perfect for lunch the next day, so you can enjoy their delicious food even after your night out has ended. All in all, if you’re looking for a fantastic Italian meal, a relaxing atmosphere, and top-tier service in Austin, Carrabba’s is the place to go. And don’t forget to ask for Jay—his friendly and attentive service will make your evening even more memorable. Enjoy!
My first visit to this location was exceptional! The customer service truly stood out—when our waiter learned that my guests had never been here before, they surprised us with a complimentary plate of calamari. The food arrived incredibly fast and tasted absolutely fantastic. Such a great experience; I'll definitely be coming back!
Dylan exceeded expectations and the food was amazing. I was in the mood for steak while visiting Austin with my 7yo. She and I shared a ribeye dinner with both sides upgraded to fettuccine Alfredo and Angel Hair pasta. They split the meal for us. My daughter was very impressed and went on and on about our service and how full her tummy was because she couldn’t stop eating the yummy food!
The food was great! The service was great! The ambiance was fantastic! Thank you to Carrabbas and the staff for a wonderful evening and dinner! Everything was great and fresh! Ciao

You get what you pay for, while it's expensive it is absolutely delicious! This has to be my favorite Italian restaurant near me.

We had not been to Carrabba‘s in quite some time so when we saw it was open late we decided to try it again after all these years. When we first walked in about 8:15 PM, there were hardly any patrons in the restaurant. It did actually get a little busy shortly after we got there though. We chose the tomato and mozzarella appetizer… Delicious, fresh, a very large portion, but could have used some extra oil and balsamic glaze. The bread service was complementary… definitely not baked in house and was nothing special. I chose the chicken marsala that was fabulous… tender, juicy, deliciously prepared with a side of mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were not hot, but tasted good. I added on a side of roasted vegetables… They tasted fine, but we’re actually cold. My husband chose the Fettuccine Carrabba and really enjoyed it. He mentioned the sauce was perfectly seasoned, the chicken was tender and served very hot. His pasta was somewhat sticky like store bought but nonetheless he really enjoyed his meal. He ordered a side of grilled veggies as well and was disappointed… he did not eat but one bite of them. The restaurant was relatively empty but the hostess sat an extremely loud family right next to us which was both odd and uncomfortable. I understand work sections but customer experience is also a priority, right? Not being able to talk between ourselves without having to raise our voices to hear each other is uncomfortable in an otherwise empty restaurant. We are drinkers - like 5 or 6 glasses of water or tea throughout a meal. I asked for a refill every time I needed one…it was never noticed by the server which was disappointing. He was pleasant but we felt perhaps busy elsewhere during our meal. We will certainly go back though. During lunch when it’s busier? Or right at 7 pm before servers and kitchen staff start going home? We are hopeful the few things that were disappointing are uncommon and look forward to another try.
Good food, fresh Caesar salad and the tomato soup was really good. The bread is a little lack luster, served cold. We all had the plane Jane spaghetti with meatballs and meat sauce which was excellent. Service was friendly and attentive and will definitely come back. Good honest simple food. Only four stars because it wasn’t mind blowing, but it was definitely good.
We were a group of 4 and we all agreed that the food was awful. Ordered pork chop and it was dry and tough. Another one ordered the appetizer platter and it had bunches of fried calamari …
I've had worse food. I haven't had worse service. No one at the front door to great us - for several minutes. VERY slow server. Had to beg for water. Had to track down the server to request grated …
Good food. bread with herbs . Nice looking salads. Got it to go .it was a healthy salad. The gallon of tea was very clever.

I work at The Domain, and I ordered food for lunch to be delivered. I got my food rather quickly, and was excited because I had really good italian food the day before and was looking forward…
I travel a lot, so I review a descent amount of restaurants. Please read for an honest review of the Carrabba’s in Austin: Upon arrival I was greeted by host, and Informed her I would just be sitting at the bar, I travel normally alone so I normally just eat at the bar. Restaurant was probably 40% filled with tables, and only a couple who appeared to be finishing up their dinning experience. I was greeted by the bartender, I ordered a water with lemon and was given a menu for which I quickly entered an appetizer of the Meatballs and Ricotta. The bartender happily took my initial order and went to the POS to ring it in. After which he continued to train the shadow he had. No water was brought. After about 3 to 4 minutes went by he came back over and stated that “the water should be brought out shortly”. I’ve never been to a restaurant where the bartender cant serve water. Eventually my water with a lemon was brought out, I noticed while waiting for the water that the bartender was training a new girl, running the bar, the service bar (drinks for the tables) and it appeared he had his own section as well. So I do cut him some slack as he had his hands full but only had two tables and now me, plus the trainer so was no where near being in the weeds in my opinion. A complimentary basket of bread with an olive oil dip was brought out, it was average bread. A nice crisp crust with a soft inner crumb. I had a few pieces and realized no setup, or cutlery and napkin, was given to me after I ordered the appetizer. At this point I had been ready to order my main entree the bartender had not stopped in to check, even though he was all over the bar multiple times. My appetizer came out, it was delicious. Perfect little start to the meal. The Bartender finally stopped by and I was able to enter by entree of the Tuscan Chicken with a side of Asparagus, and a house salad to start. Still no silverware set up provided. I was also not given an option on the type of dressing I would like. Once my salad was brought out, it was not the traditional house salad i’m use to. It was honestly a ceasar salad without croutons and topped with olives and peperoncino slices. Still no silverware, and no bartender in sight. I just kinda sat looking around for a while trying to make eye contact with any worker in the vicinity but really there was nobody around, even the host was out of sight. I finally was able to get a hold of the trainee and get a setup brought to me. She also refilled my water. The salad was nothing to write home about, and honestly just didn’t want a caesar, so I only had a few bites. My main dish was brought out, it was an average looking piece of chicken breast with some seasonings and a good amount of asparagus. The chicken was cooked pretty well, a little more dry than I prefer but overall tasty. The asparagus was great, no complaints and had a nice balsamic drizzle on it, which I always think pairs well. Over all the main entree was good and did the job. For the restaurant as a whole, I think the visit was an incredibly underwhelming and average experience for the level of service and food you get at these chain type places. Obvious room for improvements, mainly focused on service details, but the food did the job and if you don’t have better option this will be perfectly okay for a quick and easy sit down meal. Total cost was 33 dollars, with a 20% (because I believe no matter the service tip 20%) ended around 44 bucks with water an appetizer and an entree. Attached is my “house salad”.
