Wonderful food. Reasonable prices for great quality food. My wife and I enjoyed our afternoon here. We brought our dog with us for the afternoon, so it was pleasing that this restaurant is pet friendly (outdoor) were we were allowed to tie off to the railing (I actually tied our dog to my leg since she is small and they did not complain). We will be coming back. Carlos (the server, not the owner) treated us as if we were regulars. We ordered two entrees and chips/salsa with guacamole with a total of $22...for a homemade dish and great service, it was worth the price. No complaints.
Love the authentic Mexican food here. I love their grilled chicken and veggies tostadas. They have beer on draft and the chips and salsa are good, but you have to pay for them.
Forgot to take a photo because the food was so incredible!!! I ordered an asada super burrito with a side of chips and salsa. The food was really high quality at a fair price, and the service was exceptional. We brought our dog to sit out on the patio, and one of the staff immediately offered to bring her water. Such great service. I will be coming back.
I work in the nut tree shopping center and this is my go to spot. The staff is really friendly. The atmosphere is always nice and food is awesome. Special shout out to Marcy. She always greets you with a smile, very energetic, and just overall great experience every time I run into her. Thank you so much for such great service!! 😊
This was the first time my friend and I ate there and we’ll definitely be returning. It’s a quaint little spot at the original Nut Tree exit. Food is awesome-fresh and delicious! Service is good. Prices are reasonable. This was a great find!
Always make a stop here when passing through the Nut Tree Shopping area. Food is great have been eating at Villa Corona since early 2000s and it never disappoints. Burritos are my go to but every thing is good quality and authentic. Prices are reasonable as well.
Five starts for the service. They genuinely care about you having a good experience. The atmosphere is lively and pleasant. Walls had beautiful and fun decoration. The food was plentiful and well prices. I did find the pork a bit unpleasant so if rate the food itself as a four. I would totally return here though.
Food was quick and amazing! Spicy salsa is just that and a love the NM style roasted chili's in it! Very comfortable atmosphere. You can tell it is family owned.
This place is really good. The meat in the nachos were cooked well and everything tasted fresh. The burrito is filling and with good flavor. Don't forget the salsa for the burrito. Everything was great. I love the music, ambiance, service and food. I'll definitely be eating here again.
Delicious! The food is special in that it’s well presented and most importantly, it’s delicious! I recommend the fish tacos first. Best fish tacos! Staff is always friendly, prices are fair and the atmosphere is really cool! Hard to go elsewhere after a visit here.
I’ve lived here for 3 years and I just tried this place. What a find! The food is delicious and fresh, amazing homemade chips and salsa and the atmosphere is so bright and inviting. Great service and relatively quick, without compromising the quality. I had the enchiladas Suizas! Best I’ve eaten in Vacaville! Love this place, will be back again for sure with my family when they visit.
One of the best Mexican food I ever had. Large servings at very reasonable price. 7 adults and 3 kids ate here with $120 bill. Chicken taquitos were crunchy with soft chicken. Chilaquiles was amazing with crispy tortillas.
If you want authentic Mexican tacos, then this is the place to go! The food was delicious, and the service was great. You can sit either inside or outside. The food is made to order and comes out fresh. No complaints!
We are visiting from out of town and found Villa Corona through Google reviews. Google recommended it was similar to one of our favorite Mexican restaurants back home in Orange County, so we gave it a try. It was amazing! The tacos were to die for. And the beans! Tasted just like my mother-in-laws...Delicious!
First time visiting this restaurant. Great menu. Friendly staff . Clean & well.maintained indoors/ outdoors. Although dining inside was closed , outdoor seating was available. Lovely patio set up outdoors. Sanitizing station available inside 👍 Super place !

One of ny favorite Mexican restaurants. The carne asada burrito is sooo yummy!! As is everything here. They don’t deserve a 1-star for an employee speaking loudly on the phone during a break. Five stars all the way. Plus, the people who work here are really nice. And the nice is authentico.
If you want terrible food and service, go somewhere else :). This restaurant is awesome. It has great selection, great tasting food, and an awesome staff. It's cozy and nicely decorated.
Really tasty food with super friendly service. My kids loved that their kid meals came with a choice of churro or flan for dessert. I enjoyed a taco salad with ground beef, and my husband had fish tacos. Delicious all around. Decent prices too. And a fun, colorful atmosphere.

Centrally located in the Nut Tree Plaza, we found parking easily. As you enter you are greeted and the girl who took our order was very friendly. You can order your burrito 3 different ways: regular, supreme, or deluxe. I had the chile relleno burrito "supreme" and it was amazing. My family ordered the carne asada burrito "regular" and loved theirs. They have limited seating because of Covid restrictions and was not operating soda machine/iced tea area. They did have some drinks in a refrigerator. The restroom was very clean and had multiple stalls. The atmosphere is great and the staff is incredibly friendly. We will be back when in the area!
Great little hole in the wall Mexican restaurant at the Nut Tree complex. Loved the decor. The green sauce was super yummy on the enchiladas! The shredded chicken was perfectly moist, but could use a bit more flavor. Chips & salsa was pretty good, but their spicy was not spicy & also lacked flavor. Staff was very friendly and service was pretty fast considering how crowded it got. All in all I would definitely stop again. 👍
Great little hole in the wall. It is a quick service type restaurant but they have seating available as well. It was great for us as our kiddo had a lot of energy and was able to love around without it being a sit down restaurant. Great portions on the burritos, I ate half and took the other half for lunch.
One of the better food choices in the Nut Tree Center. I only tried the grilled chicken taco. I liked that it wasn’t at all greasy and overall pretty healthy. It would’ve been nice to have had some salsa on the side though. It’s pleasant inside and the woman who helped us today was nice. I’d be very open to trying more items here.
Amazing chimichanga and super nachos here! Taking off a star because they asked us if we wanted chips and salsa without mentioning that it would be extra charge (most places like this give chips and salsa free of charge) had I known the were going to charge me I would have gotten the guac as well for just a dollar more. Other than that the service was friendly and fast. The decoration was beautiful and quirky, made me feel at home. Will be visiting again soon...
Food was amazing and the staff were all friendly!! The taco salad is perfect! (The only thing I disliked was that there was no A/C. It was pretty hot inside.)
This review is for the grilled chicken tacos. I've been getting these for about 2yrs now. They come in a semi fried tortilla so that's not too crunchy or chewy and always have the same great flavor with crisp shredded lettuce. Chicken has been slightly over cooked last two times I've been so not sure what's going on with that??! Good price around $4.75 They give a generous amt. of chicken on these as well as on seversl other menus items I've tried. Dine in or takeout, service is usually pretty fast.
I left good reviews on everything because I don’t want to be a hater but putting whole beans in a taco is crazy. Very sinister. With no lime on the side. Even more criminal. If u are Mexican this restaurant is not for you. Great restaurant but disappointing to a Mexican. Also the carne asada plate is just the ingredients for a taco put on a plate. don’t be fooled there is no authentic Mexican food to be found here.

Villa Corona is one of those reliable local spots I keep coming back to when I want something quick and satisfying. The food is always decent — not necessarily gourmet, but definitely flavorful and consistent. Their burritos and tacos are my usual go-tos, and they always come out fresh and hot. What I really appreciate is how convenient they are. Service is fast, the staff is friendly, and it’s easy to grab a meal on the go without sacrificing quality. The prices are fair for the portions, and everything feels freshly made rather than “fast food.” It’s not the most exceptional Mexican restaurant in town, but it’s a solid choice when you want something good, simple, and dependable. Definitely a local staple for an easy, no-fuss meal!
Pretty bland mexican food. $50 for 2 plates. Steak tasted like it was boiled and hard shell tacos were overbaked. Not terrible, not great.

Right when you walk in your invited to welcoming atmosphere. However, it's small, all the tables are too close together. You'd have to squeeze yourself in between tables. Secondly the decor is beautiful it gives you the that Mexican vibe. Thirdly, I noticed that the ceiling is disgusting, you can tell no one had cleaned up there! Like this can possibly fall into someone's food! Overall the the food is decent and service was decent too.
This place was good. Nothing really stood out as extremely great or special but definitely highly acceptable. the restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. We ordered about 15 minutes in advance and everything was ready by the time we got there. Very reasonable prices as well. I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure there used to be two locations in Vacaville but the one in nut tree plaza has closed down recently
The person at the counter was friendly, got my order to go in an acceptable amount of time. I think it took between 10 and 15 minutes for them to prepare the two burritos I ordered which is good. If it takes too long then that's just frustrating but if it takes too quick then I'm fearful that the food had been pre prepared and just sitting out. So ten to fifteen minutes is a good time I think. The burrito was alright, the steak was very tough, there was some pieces that I couldn't eat because it was so tough, but otherwise it was good. Not great, not terrible.... Just good.
Three stars because the staff were great. The food not so much. I ordered the pork adobo plate and chips with salsa. The cops and salsa were great. The pork adobo looked well cooked and well seasoned but was flavorless. The beans and rice were slightly undercooked. Perhaps it was a bad day for the cooks, but I will look elsewhere for good Mexican food.
It’s a mixed review: great steak salad, wonderful server (a young girl who cheerily welcomed everyone), good value for the portion size. Flashy artifacts on the wall. Good music. Not-so-good basics: chips tough, watery guacamole, sauces watered down with cornstarch added to thicken them, chicken filling not salty enough tonight. Surprisingly, the Fajita Salad tasted like a Philly Cheesesteak in that they grilled white button mushrooms along with bell peppers, onions and tender steak strips as the “fajita” topping. This mixture was placed atop a bed of lettuce (one piece was very large); small diced tomatoes and small diced onions. Next came gorgeously fresh, perfectly sliced and fanned avocado. This was drizzled with a white mixture which may have been Cotija cheese. Finely shredded cheddar was sprinkled over all. No olives, no dressing, needed salt, steak very delicious. I highly recommend this salad for people on a ketogenic diet. My husband ate 1/3 of his order. He ordered a tamale and the man didn’t hear him and gave him an enchilada. My husband said the enchilada sauce tasted like canned brown gravy. He said the rice and beans were just okay. He ordered the guacamole and didn’t eat it or the chips or the salsa. He couldn’t eat the guacamole because it was mostly onions and tomatoes. “Avocado was the afterthought,” he said. I didn’t like the salsa, which was heavy on the jalapeños or whatever spice was added. If you like things hot you’d like it.

The service was great. The price was insane though, I got a combination plate (1taco,1flauta with beans n rice) chips n salsa and a coke for $27. I'm not sure if I got ripped off or if this is the pricing because the menu doesn't have prices on it and she didn't offer a receipt. Food was decent, chips kind of suck.

Honestly it's just gentrified mexican food for a high price. Nothing special about it; you could easily find 10 local mexican restaurants with better food for a better price. Wouldn't come back unless nothing else was open at the time, and even then I'd consider the drive home to cook something for myself before stepping back inside.
We ordered various items. The adobada burrito was bad. The meat was very dry. I looked like it was microwaved. We also ordered a carne asada plate. The meat did not have a good flavor. Whole beans and refried beans were so dry, we did not eat them. Flower tortillas were hard around the edges, and the horchata tasted like brown sugar water. Although the staff were very nice and friendly, we will not be returning because of the quality of their food.
Freshness was key to my low review. Two of my friends had salads and the iceberg lettuce was brown and mushy along the edges. Obviously very old. My chicken burrito with green sauce was pretty plain with flavor. Though portion size was very generous
$20 for a burrito with no meat is crazy No chips No drink No green sauce Paid $2.50 for avocado that was nonexistent until the end. Average size burrito nothing crazy but the cost

The waitress was the only good thing she was really polite and professional but the food was not good. It was plain and way to spicy i threw it up when i got home and its way to expensive .i never do reviews but this food was not it!

Not sure what happened given the other reviews. 2 salads. Lettuce brown, and food in general flavorless. Ground beef taco salad was bland. Chicken fajita salad was ok but again meat was flavorless and lettuce appeared old. Very personable service and cute atmosphere but food missed the mark today.
I went to this place because they advertised that their large catering size of rice could feed 50 but when I picked it up for $37 there is no way it could feed that much, I don’t think this could even feed 20. After driving all the way from Vallejo and calling back they weren’t willing to do anything. I just feel as if they are false advertising and it is too expensive.
I usually don’t leave reviews, but I felt this needed to be addressed. I ordered the tacos with asada, and unfortunately, the meat was incredibly tough and chewy—almost inedible. It felt like it hadn’t been properly marinated or cooked, which completely took away from the flavor and texture you expect from good asada. This isn’t what I expected, especially from a place that takes pride in its food. I hope the kitchen takes this seriously and reconsiders how they’re preparing their asada, because customers notice when corners are being cut.
Normally, we love this place. The food is always great. Unfortunately, one of the kitchen staff taking a break thought it was OK to blast her cell phone at high volume throughout the restaurant. The great Mexican music playing in the restaurant? Couldn't enjoy it due to the nasty electronic noise from her over-driven tiny cell phone speaker. Listening to my lovely date's voice? Nope...couldn't hear due to the nails-on-a-chalkboard noisy videos of (probably) cats playing with their balls. The lady had a black t-shirt and jeans, black apron, brown glasses, earrings, thin watch or bracelet on her left wrist, and had her hair in a bun with a black hair band. She was completely oblivious to everyone in the restaurant being irritated. One lady sitting next to her even walked out. Here's a great rule of thumb for anyone, ESPECIALLY employees: The rest of the world doesn't want to hear electronic cell phone noise at high volume...USE EAR BUDS OR HEADPHONES! It seems like this would be common sense. It's a shame that this one employee did this and ruined everyone else's efforts toward an otherwise great experience. Hopefully this gets fixed, because we normally love this place.
