We’ve been here twice and have enjoyed the food and service. The noodles were a good portion for the price and the dumplings are tasty!

🙏🏼 As you can see, it was fresh and delicious! My husband and I wanted to try something different & we will be back!

Surprised by their crab & pork xiaolongbao, it has flavorful and juicy fillings with a thin layer of skin. Steamed dumplings are also above average, the dumpling skin is thicker but with great texture.

The food was delicious. While waiting for our food, I enjoyed watching them make the dumplings and pork buns. They have frozen buns and dumplings to-go, too! I’m definitely coming back.

The food was so good. We got a cucumber salad and some chicken fried rice as well as lumpia and some pork buns. All the food was delicious and ready super quick.

Way more reasonable and better tasting than Ding Tai Fung! Probably the best crab dumplings I’ve had. Would highly recommend to anyone who likes dumplings! Also the golden bun with condensed milk, perfect for dessert.

Great customer service. Very fresh food that is made right in plain sight. I LOVE the egg fried rice the best. Never experienced that kinda flavor!!

This restaurant has never disappointed us. But today they really outdid themselves with the ZHAJIANGMIAN soybean noodles. What a fantastic dish ….with different textures and flavors. It was very, very good. There were noodles , carrots, peanuts , and much more, or just the right crunch and flavor….. very very good! We also had a side of sautéed garlic, green beans, which had a great flavor and crunch as well.

Fabulous dimsum restaurant with lots of options. I highly recommend the black and gold buns. I love the frozen option, too, I can stock up for a discount.

This is a new little restaurant inside the outlet stores at the net tree. When you walk in , you have to place your order, and then they seat you. At first, it seemed pretty expensive to me. As each item runs individually, about $9 a plate to $18 or $20 a plate. The great news is that you get a large plate full of food that you can share with several people. We had plenty enough to eat there in 2 of us.Take leftovers home for dinner and breakfast the next day. The employees are nice and helpful. And a cool treat for the customers is that it Has a window into the back of the kitchen so you can watch. The employees making the food especially the dumplings and pot stickers. What a treat to watch those skilled hands make your food. It's not super fast service since they make everything fresh, but it will be worth the wait. I've already raved about this restaurant to my family and friends and plan to go back, Of course, on a pay day, though. There are not too many places to sit inside and a few tables outside. So, I hope they plan on moving to a bigger facility to allow more seating. Again, I would recommend this place because the food is delicious and flavor.

I have been to other 88 BaoBao. This one has been my favorite. The staff works hard to make sure tables are cleared quickly. I like the soup dumplings at the Vacaville location the best. You can taste the ginger. We ordered too much and had lots to take home. The crab and pork soup dumplings were okay. The traditional ones are great.

Food was delicious!! Fed 4 people with 40bucks! Definitely recommend the chili oil wontons super good. Chow mein was 10/10. (Sub note boyfriend said it was 🔥 fire)

Loved, loved, loved the shanghai noodles, it's got a smoky taste to it. The garlic sause is phenomenal. I also came back and had it with shrimp. OUTSTANDING! They give you lots. It's a small restaurant, but it starts winding down after 1:30 p.m. (doing the week) They make you pay 1st, at the counter, then if a seat is available, they hold it with a number sign.

Very good food. The speciality item - sesame chicken was very soft. The zhang liang mian could was a little bland - but had fresh ingredients. The xiaolong baos were really tasty. Overall, a great place to visit. The service was fairly quick.

On the way to Tahoe and stopped randomly in this little town I don’t even know the name of. AND THIS PLACE. One of the best dumpling place I’ve had in the entire state. Handmade dumplings, fully filled with well seasoned stuffing(look the photo, it’s a whole meatball!) The pan fried buns, so crispy and fresh. Simply PERFECTION.

We got the lumpia, cucumber salad, shrimp tempura and pork/shrimp dumplings. All the food was very fresh. The cucumber salad was good we added chilli oil and that made it amazing. Worth the price.

The restaurant seemed a bit small but was able to walk in during lunch time (on Christmas Eve so maybe it’s not as busy) and get seated pretty quickly. We ordered the wonton in chili oil, XLBs, BBQ pork bun, and an order of bamboo and mushroom bun. Excluding the buns, the order of XLBs and the wonton was filling and I feel like they give more than your typical restaurant. The restaurant doesn’t seem to fail on keeping their environment clean. And I do appreciate the kitchen transparency where you can see the chefs make the dumplings. Since the restaurant is a bit small, there is only one unisex bathroom which I feel that they maintain cleanliness but was lacking supplies when I was in there. As for what we ordered: -Wonton in Chili Oil: 10/10 for me -XLBs: 9/10 just because it wasn’t piping hot but mix it with the chili oil from the wonton order and it’s 12/10! -Bamboo & Mushroom: 7/10, my mom thinks it didn’t have enough taste and thought that maybe adding more seasoning would be better. She said that the bamboo shoots were shredded very thinly and not crunchy. - BBQ Pork Bun: 11/10, these could be a hit or miss because of the consistency of the bun. I’ve experienced other buns disintegrating in my mouth and getting it stuck on the roof. The consistency at 88 is perfect and the filling is not too sweet. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

Really fresh and delicious food!! I love that you can watch the chefs make dumplings and cook them. We enjoyed the dumplings, beef roll, noodles, and rice. However the unexpected star is the show was the garlic green beans!!! They were perfectly seasoned and addicting! The portions were very generous, in fact the family of 4 only finished half, so we have lunch for tomorrow. I wish they had fountain drinks but that's no big deal. We will be back soon, really enjoyed having an authentic restaurant in Vacaville with such high quality ingredients. The place is small and can fill up. However the food came out very fast.

Visited this place after an 8 hour trip coming up from San Diego. The meal we had was amazing ,fulfilling , fresh, and we would take the 8 hour drive back just to eat here again. Fresh hot noodles, crispy fried shrimps, the soup dumplings melted in your mouth, and the bbq baos were warm, fluffy, and so so tasty. Everyone was super welcoming and made sure we were well taken care of. The cooks worked diligently next to us behind the counter, so we could see the freshness being made. It was so homey and delightful to eat and watch. The chili oils and seasonings are also prepared in the kitchen, and they added the best flavor boost. Lastly, we checked out the beverage fridge and the options of fresh drinks were endless. The best one was a lychee sparkling drink that was so satisfying 😌. Thank you 88 Bao Bao we were so satisfied with the food, service, and experience completely.

My favorite dumplings around! I bet everything on the menu is good but, even though I've been here over a dozen times, I haven't tried that many dishes because I ALWAYS insist on getting the same thing: pork Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) and wontons in chili oil. And of course, the cucumber salad is a perfect accompaniment. Food is super fresh, it's really fun watching the assembly line of dedicated dumpling makers hand-making all the dumplings. I don't know if their other locations are as popular but this is a small outpost and it can get quite busy so they have a very particular but efficient seating system. If eating in, you wait in line to order first, then they assign you a table, then bring out your order as each dish is ready. However, the staff is friendly, the service is prompt, and the food comes out quickly. And the sauces are pretty addictive too. (Though recently we noticed the ratio of chili:oil of the table chili oil has changed and the cucumbers were cut differently.) Please don't change anything, 88 Bao Bao, everything is perfection!

An amazing location for dumplings and Shumai or steam buns. The restaurant was a bit pricy for the small amount of food, but it make up in its quality and flavorful taste. It is a asian restaurant I'd definitely come back to when I save up to eat as much as possible!

They have anime playing on the TV and you can watch them make all the dumplings in the kitchen. Their chili isn't too spicy but does have great flavor. Will come again

everything fresh and on time the food was delicious, they have that sauce that adds a spectacular touch to the food, the bao split as soon as you touch them, which is not a bother since you won't eat it whole, it's just an observation.

Had the chicken and the squid. They chicken was small crunchy bites and it was good. The squid was a good quality. We also had some dumplings but they forgot to bring them until we reminded so we took them to go. Unfortunately they didn't turn out well warmed up. (Maybe I don't know the secret)

Came in for dine in. We ordered a bunch of dishes for my husband and I. The chow mein, Egg Fried Rice, Marinated Beef, shrimp & pork siomai were good. As for the wonton soup and pork buns they were just okay. Portions were huge that we still had a lot of leftover that we took to go. Even though there were a steady flow of customers either dining in or picking up their order. The service was pretty fast. The place isn't that big so this place is more suitable for just a few customers at a time. The ambiance is more on casual vibe. Overall, we enjoyed our meal. Parking was not an issue. I highly recommend and will definitely come back.

Wasn't expecting Vacaville to have this good of dumplings. When you walk in, it's like a factory. There are like 10 people in the kitchen making dumplings by hand which is really cool. The dumplings were very fresh and had probably just came from the steamer. I got the pork dumplings and they were very flavorful but one thing I didn't like was how much juice was in them. You either have the option to drain it out or eat the dumpling whole with a couple tablespoons of juice. Kinda weird. It was good though.

Quick service and lots of food! You don’t get seated until after you order, we had a large group coming so we tried to order earlier and get seats around each other. I was pescatarian at the time but ordered some food for the table— chicken chow mein, shrimp fried rice, vegetable dumplings, shrimp dumplings, and cucumber salad. My friends got shrimp and pork siomai, XLBs, and deep fried pork dumplings. The other table ordered similar items too. The kids loved the chow mein. There is self service water cups and they also serve drinks. Our food came out quickly and they have huge portions. Located in a shopping plaza, there’s plenty of parking and it can get busy. They have a table outside if you want to eat outside too.

Good dumplings at a reasonable price. We got the crab and pork xi long bao, the chicken and corn dumplings, the bbq pork buns, garlic green beans, and the rice cakes. The xi long bao was very tasty and a nice twist on the traditional pork. The chicken and corn was also tasty. The bbq buns were ok but not a highlight out of these items. The garlic green beans were delicious. The rice cakes were ok and very filling but they had a strange flavor to them.

We decided for a takeout since Saturdays are busy with nut tree. As we walked in to pick up our food, it was pretty packed around 1 pm so highly recommend going at less peak times on weekends. We had the following: Lumpia: 8/10 Popcorn chicken: 8/10 Bbq pork buns: 5/10 too much bread to meat ratio Pork buns: 6/10 good flavor, meat mix was clumped into a ball and left hollow pockets in the sides of bun Haukau : 7/10 Shaomai: 7:10 Egg fried rice noodles: 7/10 Chow mein: 9/10 Overall was a bit disappointed with the pork buns but surprised how well everything tasted from being in take out boxes for the drive home.

Ordered take out. And it’s not worth the price per food for take out. Maybe for dine in but even then I’m not sure. Overall the food was flavorless. Filling and hit the spot, but only because I didn’t eat for the most part of the day. The chow main was oily tasted a little burnt and hardly had chicken, wonton soup with oil wasn’t soup at all, I do appreciate the quantity of wontons but I wanted a soup. Its topped with too much onion and cilantro. I did like the cucumber salad but not for 6$. Overall food experience is a 3/5.

Food is okay, we ordered the pan fried pork buns, wonton in chili sauce and grilled squid. Wonton wraps were quite thick so the flavor was a bit bland. Pan fried pork buns are okay, except it did not have the juicy inside and crispy outside. Price is also okay.

In a town where dumplings are scarce, 88 Bao Bao might be the best you've got. But if you want transcendence, you might need to take a drive to Sac or the Bay. The lumpia was very good (strange, I know). Crisp, delicate, savory, paired perfectly with the dipping sauce. The green beans follow closely behind, perfectly sauteed, a reminder that simplicity, done well, needs no embellishment. But then there are the disappointments--the barbecue pork buns, which arrive looking the part but missing the soul. The XLBs, fragile and fleeting. Eat them fast, because the moment they cool the wrapping starts to seize up.

The cucumber salad has no taste, but they served a lot. I like the dumpling, taste alright. Noodles are not much of the taste. I like the squid taste.

F

The cucumber salad and wonton soup was decent. The noodle was bland. DimSum was just okay. The restaurant palette is tailored to the bland side overall as the food isn’t as flavourful as regular Chinese dishes. Comfortably chilled inside the store during hot summer. Order and pay first system. Plenty of parking outside.

The service and food are fast. Mostly is self-service and preorder first before you are seated. The dumpling is salty to me compared to the places I have been to. The soup dumpling is not hot enough and gets cold very fast. The pork fried dumpling is a bit burned.

The dumplings and potstickers were amazing but the chicken options weren’t fresh. it was the exact same thing as the frozen Chinese chicken from Winco warmed up And it didn’t taste very good. The people were nice but the food was really disappointing for as much as we ordered and paid for.

Husband ordered noodles with a pic that had no eggs. It was served with eggs. Customer service was good. They remade the dish no problem. BBQ pork buns were tastless. Rice noodles were tastless. Leek pork boiled dumplings were ok. Last time i tried this place was months ago, and i wasnt impressed, but i couldnt remember why. Now, i know for sure we will not be returning. Tasteless and overpriced. $13 for sauteed green beans? I wanted to like this place, i love chinese food and dumplings and buns, and i enjoy the atmosphere and customer service, but i just can't justify spending my money here :(

I went here a year ago and order four items. Sat there for more than 30 minutes before the order was ready. Keep seeing people that order after me get their items. The worker didn’t even bother apologizing. I usually get my dumplings in Sacramento so I scratch this up as one bad experience and let it slide. Yesterday I was coming home from work and the wife want some dumplings and since I’m already near home I decide to drop by this place again and give it one more try. I order two pork dumplings with veggies. Most place when you order pork with veggies you get pork with dice carrots, cabbage and onions. The one from bao bao is just pork with a lot of green onions. It took them 25 minutes to finish my order and when I go home to eat it the dumpling was very oily inside and the pork meat was undercooked. Never going back here again. This place is a disgrace to real Chinese dumpling.

Ordered the chowmein noodles, pork buns, pork shiomai, and 2 kinds of wanton. I did not like how thick the wrapper was on the wanton/wonton. The noodles were bland. The pork buns were not good at all. The shiomai wasn’t even interesting. I was charged $50 for the entire order. I don’t think it was worth it. Just really disappointed.
