1st visit here and immediately in love. You're welcomed by the fridge full of desserts. Leaving you want to skip food altogether and get right to dessert. Employees were super nice and quick to seat and take our order. I love a place that does freshly squeezed OJ so that is immediate browning points. The breakfast bowl with mama bear sauce is a great combo. Will be making this our regular breakfast place.

Great place to stop and eat after visiting the national parks. Server and staff were all friendly. Food was quick to come out and was good. We called 2 hours before they closed and they said they could accommodate allergies. We arrived 10 min before they closed. Recommend this location

There were 13 of us. I don’t even know how we got to that number, but at some point you just stop counting and start praying someone brought snacks. After about 8 hours of tough hiking in Sequoia, the moment we walked in, we were greeted by enthusiastic employees and a very lovely black bear mascot my little siblings adored. Like, loved it to a level where I started to worry they’d try to take the bear home. They danced with it. One of them got a bear mask. She wore it all night. She wore it the next day. At this point, we might be raising a bear. Once we sat down, the food was amazing and felt homely and delicious! Portions were big and filled out 8 hour empty stomachs completely. service was amazing and felt personal and kind! highly recommend if you have small children or like a good homey meal. So good we are planning to come again tomorrow! I RECOMMEND

This place feels like stepping into a classic bear hunter’s lodge or an old-school ranch house—rustic, warm, and full of character. The portions are huge, definitely come hungry! The food is hearty, tasty, and surprisingly affordable for the size and quality. What really stood out was the incredibly friendly staff—welcoming, helpful, and full of charm. It’s the kind of spot where you leave full and smiling. A great find if you’re after a laid-back, generous, no-frills dinner with a cozy, frontier vibe.

Authentic American Diner well worth the visit. First time in Visalia and got here by luck for late breakfast on a Saturday morning. Coffee is nothing spectacular but dishes are huge. It was like an unintended brunch for me. They have many options and combinations that they put their menu like in a newspaper. Their biscuit is also, well, big. I had an Omelette with hash brown, with bacon and spinach in it, very good. They have their own hot sauces which are good too, not too hot, not even the habanero one. We ended with a delicious slice of carrot cake. Very recommendable place, By the time we left there were people already waiting for a table outside and the parking lot was full

This is a great diner for tasty food and generous portions at a very fair price. They have a very attentive staff and can be busy, especially during peak times. The bear theme is fun and all over the restaurant. I especially enjoyed the huckleberry shake, which is not a treat I can get in my own State.

Saturday morning may have just been a bad time.... Wait-staff were plenty at one for every three tables. Service was fair with very few check-ups after food delivery. Food was warm on delivery, not hot. Several other tables with similar complaints. Personalities of staff were polite, friendly, and personable. Maybe just a bad day?

So. I was so excited for the all you can eat fish...but sorry it was a disappointment and dissatisfying...but the fries were really good. My family loved their 10oz burgers. Those were good. This place looks like an old hang out spot back in the day. The little pies look so good. I think this is more of a breakout/ lunch place. I will not go back for fish.

Pretty good! A decent diner that keeps pretty reasonable prices and adequate portions. Friendly service, too. We got a variety of breakfast and lunch items. The Denver omelette was good. Good bacon, sausage, and ok hash browns. The pancakes were very filling, waffles were good, and the coffee was pretty good for a diner. The tri-tip sandwich is so-so. The bread kinda got soggy from the meat juice. The tuna sandwich was great. The coleslaw was average. Sarah was a friendly server and got all the orders (8) just right. The place was super busy, but she came by to refill drinks when she could.

This is the second time I've sat at the bar and the waitress forgot about me. The first time was months ago but I figured I just won't get the same waitress. Yet AGAIN I was forgotten and my meal wasn't placed as I waiting all hangry trying to eat. I guess she had forgotten to place my order, so I just decided to leave. She said she'll put a rush order, and still took forever. So after having given a chance I just got up to pay for my drinks. This is ridiculous! But at least this waitress paid for my meal to go. We came for my son’s birthday since it’s his favorite place. The server was horrible didn’t even know her name never got refills food came out wrong, waited 20 mins just to greet us, and never got sang at. We arrived at 10:24 and left at 11:40. Never have we waited so long and been forgot about. Wasn’t even offer a discount per the inconvenience.

This place is overrated. Basically just Denny's but not as consistent. Nothing is authentic. Tri tip dip was pathetic. Bread was stale. Lettuce was wilted. Food was cold. We won't return.
