Late post September 8, 2022 My mom and I stopped in at our favorite spot when in Visalia. We wanted to try the Lobster bites. 🦞 YUM, they were so delish. I wish they had a BIGGER box lol Late post May 13, 2023 Every time my mom & I are in Visalia for one of her appts, we always stop to grab a to go order of the 12 pc family meal. We always have excellent customer service, delicious meals, and we especially like the vibe whenever we do dine in. 👌

Ok, I'm going to be honest here. Before eating at this Long John Silvers, I was convinced that there was some strange, secret society among us that kept this place in business. I didn't know anyone who ever ate here. Fish fast food? Sounded to me like a recipe for a rough night. But a coworker heard I'd never been and invited me, and I thought "I'll try anything once." The result? The food was pretty dang good. Not the best fish or anything, but certainly not the worst fast food place. I got the platter with the hush puppies, fish, chicken, shrimp, and waffle cut fries. It was all pretty good and well-seasoned. The service was excellent. Our order was taken promptly, delivered to our table without error. The atmosphere was good - but somehow felt a little sad inside? Not sure how else to describe it. Maybe it was the extra seating area on the side of the restaurant blocked off with tables. Somehow that said "we used to be busier/more popular, but all that's behind us now." All that being said, it was pretty dang good. Much better than I expected. If I'm ever hungry for a quick bit to eat, would Long John Silvers pop into my mind as a place to go? Probably not. But that doesn't mean that it's not tasty. 4/5 stars!

Hush puppies were DELICIOUS, but the fish sand? Not as much. The bread was chewy, you changed the batter, and the relish was too sweet. Guess we were nostalgic(it has been over a year since the last visit). Service was great though

Had to repeat our order 6 times...SIX TIMES..... and they still managed to get it wrong! We went inside to order for take out. Will not go back!

A visually appealing establishment unfortunately falls short due to the poor management of its employees. Upon entering, one is immediately confronted with a sign that prohibits customers from ordering bills exceeding twenty dollars and requesting additional sauce. This policy appears to be at odds with the establishment’s reputation as a food service provider.

It took 30 mins to get my order, then they bring me overcooked chicken. This was not the best I have ever had. Then the server said after bring me better cooked chicken the other had been over cooked. Fried were greasy on top of that. I have had much better service.

I waited 15 minutes in the drive thru for a 6.00 fish basket. That's all. I ended up leaving and going to spend my money somewhere else This place is ran very badly. The should hire good workers that actually do their job. I was there at 18:30 hours on October 23rd 2025. If anyone cares, and maybe wants to fire their bum employees. At least retrain them.

Too much Grease and they use the same oil for the fish and chicken . Hush puppies is good but it’s too much oil and it’s scary to work at nights you never know what could happen. I was scared to work nights TBH.

Long John Silver's use to be really good and a family friendly place where you would love to always have a weekend dinner at but over the years it has gotten bad. Including changing some of the items on the menu like their delicious crispy fresh fries into their crinkle cut fries that are soggy and gross. Even the taste of the chicken strips, the coleslaw and the hush puppies have changed and definitely not better than they use to be. I would also like to know what happened to the crispy pieces everyone always looked forward to getting in their meals and why they stopped doing that? At this location the employees here were really rude to all their customers who kept coming in as if no one wanted to work at all. So many orders were coming back incorrect or had something wrong with it. We received horrible customer service, we didn't receive our full order and our food was given to us cold and everything tasted horrible. This place isn't cheap anymore with all the rising prices so I expect everything to be fresh, taste good and to have better customer service!
