They were very accommodating for us to seat seven people by the “golf simulator area“ warm by the fire!) The food is absolutely delicious. So much flavor in the reuben eggroll appetizer, chicken sandwich and all the burgers. Beer was very excellent, & the “ cookie skillet” was out of this world! We love the modern ski chalet design too! So happy you’re finally open.

I have gone to this restaurant three times now all three times we had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious. We ordered a variety of things from pretzel bites to French onion soup & burgers and all was delicious ! My family of 5 recently went to the Blackbird Tavern and had a wonderful time! We were able to get a reservation ahead of time, seated promptly when we arrived and had a wonderful meal! Both the hostess and our waiter were top notch!

I called to order takeout. The employee on the phone was so friendly, as was every employee who saw me in the restaurant. The food was ready in 20 minutes! It seems a little pricey at first, but all restaurants and food are expensive now. When I called because I thought they forgot something in my order, the employee was so nice about it. (I was mistaken; it was all in there.) I will order takeout again. And I will go dine in soon too. It was so pretty! I’m excited for a new local restaurant.

We wandered in, sat at the bar around 420 on a cold Saturday. Got a place at the bar. Ordered our drinks. We ordered Big Mac appetizer. The wolf and the growler. Freaking delicious. Typical Druthers establishment.

What a hidden gem, with great food, drinks, and service. The outside area alone will bring us back. It's hard to find places that aren't the same old place, and on RT 20 or Central ave, and after my experience tonight I'm absolutely happy with everything this place has to offer. I'll definitely be back, and I'd highly recommend checking it out!

Finally after a long wait for the place to open we had an opportunity to go for dinner. I had the mushroom and onion burger or should I say burgers (comes with 2 ). They were perfectly prepared and the bun was also very good. A friend had an amazing Chicken Pot Pie served hot in a skillet and she loved it. All in all not cheap but reasonable for dinner out. Server was excellent and did a great job. Druthers beer was also very good!

Happened to be in town for a dance competition and needed a place to eat. What a great spot, beautiful building, inside and out. Service was prompt and friendly and the server commented on how good what we ordered was. In looking at the menu there is a lot of salads, burgers, and bar food. To their credit they do have vegan “wings” and veggie burgers. There is no extra charge for having a veggie burger instead of a meat patty. I had the Mitzen Burger with cheese, onions, pickles and a very good bean based in house made veggie burger. A nice portion of “greens” rather than fries was on the side. Companion had the tomato soup and grilled cheese that was great as well. Large bowl of a bisque type tomato soup. Passed on dessert. A great addition to the local scene, a bit upscale yet casual.

We hosted my daughter's Sweet 16 Party here. With a winter birthday it's always hard to plan a good party. The staff at Blackbirds Tavern were so easy to work with and so helpful the day of the party. There is no room rental fee which is really nice. The cost of food/drink was very reasonable, and the food was delicious. I would definitely host another event there in the future.

Every time I go back to Voorheesville, I’ll be ordering those wings again. Hands down, they were perfection.

When Bonefish Grill closed, I was dismayed to not be able to have Bang Bang shrimp any longer and then, I found it offered at Blackbirds Tavern. I went specifically for the dish. Pros: Presentation was perfect; number of shrimp was ideal, batter was light and crispy, the sauce (though sparingly offered) was tasty. Con: The shrimp were tough and chewy, lacking that tender texture.

GOOD SPOT, BUT SHORT POURS….This is a good spot with a welcoming atmosphere and VERY good food, but drinks are severely under-poured, otherwise this would’ve easily been a 4, or even 5, star rating. Visited twice and REALLY enjoyed the food….but was REALLY disappointed in what came from the bar. On the first visit, I ordered the Maple Old Fashioned (despite the $18 price tag). When it arrived the glass had a healthy dose of ice (which I didn’t mind) but the actual cocktail only made its way halfway up the ice….and 25% up the glass…a SEVERE under-pour. On the 2nd visit, I decided to order the same $18 Old Fashioned just to see if the first visit was a fluke. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that it was NOT. This pour was slightly better but still didn’t make it above the ice. For $18, that should be a FULL pour of a premium spirit. I’ll visit again….for the FOOD and atmosphere….but I’ll be ordering water to avoid the bar-flation.

They don’t take reservations on the weekend. We arrived to a 1 hour wait at 6 pm. Horrible system. Food was great though and the place was empty by 7:30 on a Saturday. Things were expensive, but everything is now. Meat loaf was awesome and so was the fried chicken sandwich. Well made and good portion sizes. They also have that electronic golf thing where you hit your own clubs and play a round. Currently as of this it was $30 an hour.

Finally tried the tavern. The food was okay, pretty mediocre for 180$ bill. No free refills on soda. 2 kids meals were decent for 12$ . Salad was 21$ and they do not offer small house salads. The waiter was attentive. Kind of bummed they don't offer a birthday desert, but not a huge deal. Definitely did not want to pay 14$ for a slice of pie. Overall, I don't think I would go back. Limited menu and food was overpriced. This place is definitely a tavern, go get some drinks but expect to overpay for sub par food.

Mom's salmon was a little overdone and creamed spinach was odd. I got Poached Pear (salad) and grilled chicken. Mine was good, chicken was moist and juicy, but the salad was small for a dinner size. Did they skimp on it ?? My mother in law went back and got veggie burger but she said it was nothing special and not flavorful. We will still go back and try few more food from there....we'll see. I hope they will be improved by then.

Avoid the Chicken Pot pie- unless you wish some Stuffing mixed with very little else- Not properly titled- If it were titled pleasant mild stuffing with Very little shredded chicken and almost nothing else- then it would be what I received- I’m guessing a new graduate trying to use 2$ of ingredients for a $24 sale- ( obviously they have overhead, rent, etc) We had a delivery- which was timely

The food was mediocre and expensive for what it was. My daughter got the kids Mac and cheese, and even by kid standards it was bland. The manager told us it was their "signature cheese blend" they always use. Well your blend is bland! The manager later came over and said they'd tweak the recipe. Sure, ok. Our burgers were 17$ and 19$ each. For the price, I'd rather just get takeout from herbies. They make a better smash burger. The burgers were also really small for 17 and 19$. Our server was great, the manager needs to get their priorities straight. In all its just disappointing. I live in town and was excited for a long time to have the place open. I'll go back when they boot druthers and get a better operator in there or when they drop the prices 5$ a plate.

I’m just slightly curious as to who creates your food menu? A lot of the items on your menu are replicated exactly from a closed down brewery. No one even had the decency to change the names of select dishes. Along with that, the man who created the exact items on your menu, has passed away, quite a few years ago. Why I’m sending this message? I’m the daughter of the Chef your menu items are ripped off from. I’m also from Vooheesville, and this was just absolutely upsetting to see.
