They have a wonderful bar and friendly staff. Also the food is really good. I had the stuffed pork chop with prosciutto cheese and spinach with mashed potato and string beans. Wow!
Stopped in for lunch and was greeted by the host who invited me to sit wherever I pleased. I sat at the bar and was able to watch the World Cup on a very large flat screen tv. The only drawback was there weren't that many eye level TV's at the bar. The atmosphere was very sport-centric. The food there is absolutely delicious. I ordered a hamburger stuffed with bacon and cheese with cheese also on top. 😋
Pat and I shared MOTHER'S DAY LUNCH. MARYANN your super hostess greeted me with a big hug. Introduced us to a new waitress Rivara ( hope I spelled it correctly). Taisia was our perfect waitress. Rob said hi and Jen was happy to see us again. They all know this is my favorite restaurant. All my guests love the nice food presentation...
Very good pub food. The salsa and guacamole are made on site. Quesadillas are excellent. Very long bar with half a dozen TVs. There is outdoor seating.
Staff is fantastic, patio is a great place to be. Peanut butter dessert was to die for!
This place checked all our boxes, nice atmosphere, great service, good prices, and delicious food! My wife and I were told about City Streets from a family member. It's a great place for a family meal or sit at the bar and catch the games. I had a surf and Turf special, my wife had steak tips. Also, try the French Onion soup!!
I have eaten here twice for late lunches and would highly recommend. Recommendations: Buffalo pizza (neither of us like bell peppers on our pizza and didn’t realize it came with those so we just picked them off. The he rest of the pizza was super good Pastrami sandwich French dip sandwich Pulled pork sandwich- this has my southern girl seal of approval. Bursting with flavor but not dripping in sauce. Eat it quick before it has a chance to get soggy Pretzel sticks as an app Drinks: they make their cocktails strong- recommend trying holiday flavors and the Moscow Moose Facility: Bright and clean Outside seating in nice weather Bar booth and table seating indoors Has a window up front for takeout orders Plenty of parking Good for couples, families and solo. Atmosphere is casual but nice so you could dress up or down and not feel out of place
Great spot with excellent service. I had eaten outside on the patio before and it was good but eating inside at the bar was great. The bartender/server was top notch and very attentive and professional. The food was delicious and served in a quick time frame. The decor and warmth of the place is great, the bar is beautiful. Monday’s are $5 burger nights so definitely worth checking that out. Great spot and will certainly continue visit here as it’s close to home and work.
What a great lunch experience!!! The drinks were on point and everything on the new menu sounded very appealing. I had the steak tips with green beans and mashed potatoes and added a side of Mac n cheese... it was fiya!!!! The portions are hefty too. Definitely coming back!
City Streets is a great restaurant to visit. They have some of the best nachos out there. The atmosphere is very nice and the prices reasonable. I ordered some fish and chips. The steak fries were very good but I was not a huge fan of the fish itself. I will definitely come back and keep trying new things on the menu.
I’m just gonna say it: this is my favorite place to eat in Waltham. Food is incredible, staff is ALWAYS fun, kind, friendly, and such a pleasure. Always my #1 choice for dinner, and my favorite lunch/brunch spot!! You absolutely have to sit outside when possible but the inside is just as nice for colder weather.
Pause for a moment. I'm about to brag on Shay. What a fabulous human she is. Dear friends are City Street regulars, we've gone only 3-4 times. Each time the staff have been wonderful yet Shay stood out. Her quiet friendliness, astute memory, wit and humor were so welcomed! I wonder if we can request her next time??? Oh, the food was yummy, too. Swordfish tacos for 3 and sirloin tips and mashed potatoes and gravy for me!! Hungry bunch!
A great place to go weeknights as well as weekends… they always have sports games going, live music or dj playing. Service has never failed us; all staff is welcoming & professional. Drinks are made perfectly and food out promptly highly recommend!
I asked it the cheese on the burger was cheeder cheese. I told him i was lactose intolerant. WHEN i got how i have a lot of diarhea, changing clothes etc. Disappointing.
Great place and food and the staff is fantastic!
Sat at the bar, probably should make a reservation for a table next time earlier. Bartenders were quick with drinks and orders. The turkey burgers were delicious and everything coming out of the kitchen looked great!
Good food. Good drink/beer selection. Good value. I had the steak fijitas which were nicely marinated came with the proper amount of tortillas and we're very tasty. They were 14.95 which for the area at large feels like a good value when many chains would charge more. Already added to my favorites list.
Brad saved the night! We were waiting for 15 minutes or more for a server to attend us. We were about to leave when a family sat next to us and a server ignored us and started attending them. At that time Brad, a different server, came and explained this wasn't his table but he will make it right. He rushed our order, which made hungry kids happy. Food was good. The breakfast burger is a must have and the nachos were very good. I'll recommend this place, but the service is a hit or miss
I cannot say enough good things about city streets! This is my favorite local restaurant, not only is the food and drinks always delicious but the staff is incredible. My group of friends comes here at least once a week, we usually have the same server and he is amazing! The owner should be very proud of the staff and service here! Thanks city streets!!
Good food. Nice beer selection. Great for lunch etc..
Great place. Great Burgers. The Cobb Salad was amazing. Best I ever had. Service is out of this world.
My husband and I came here for the first time after hearing great things, we sat at the bar and Brian was amazing . 10/10 recommend , 5 star service and food. Thank you so much, will be back soon
Inside was extremely noisy, but the weather was nice and we dined outdoors.
City Streets never falls short of expectations, in fact I think they keep getting improving.
We just had lunch there today for the first time — a party of 9 with 5 kids between us seated at a high top at the front windows. Brian (I think) took care of us deftly, was professional and friendly. Food was fine for our group (fried zucchini, calamari, chowder, pretzel sticks, cheeseburgers/cheese pizza/Mac and cheese for the kids). I think we ordered a bit too much fried food, but it was all well-fried. Wine and beer for the adults. All while there was a sizeable baby/wedding shower in the back event room.
Very nice place! The staff absolutely unbelievably kind, The food is awesome! It's just the whole atmosphere.. Words cannot explain you have to try it for yourself!
We had a luncheon for 30 people in the private dining room after a memorial service for a family member. Dan, the manager was very friendly, accommodating and helpful as we were planning the menu and he was patient with our questions. Meg was our server and she was very attentive. The food was tasty and the room was very comfortable for people to eat and mingle. I would highly recommend City Streets for a private event.
Tasty American pub fare. Fried zucchini was delicious, nachos were large and the chicken parmigiana hides a decent serving of pasta underneath. Good portion to price.
Great service and interesting location at a plaza. Food is decent, but a bit pricey. Drinks are great as well. Fried zucchini was great with marinara and ranch.
First time here. Great wait staff and bartender. Very attentive and helpful. Got myself a pasta it was good. Margarita was very tasty. But mostly the service made me wanna go back and try it again.
Burger was perfect. The only negative part is that i waited for food pickup over 25 minutes, and host was not really paying attention that the bag was next to her. ( even when i came and asked is it ready or not) Called manager and everything resolved immediately. Great job to manager. 👍 Host was too busy with her own cellphone behind, thats why she had not time to look around for my order 👎
The menu items that are good are really good, the ones that aren't - well, aren't. Overall you can have a great meal here but I think you need to order the right things. The staff is super friendly, one of the owners was even there and chatted with us. Overall we had a good time and will be back. The good things were the arancini appetizer, the stuffed pork chop, and the blue cheese burger; all had lots of flavor. I especially liked the gravy that came one the pork chop, it was great stuff. We also got the mac and cheese, which frankly was pretty bland, and the broccoli side dish, which had a nice flavor but the texture was too soft (it was steamed broccoli, and I always like a little crispiness that you never get when you steam it). I was especially surprised by the mac and cheese because we'd heard from other people that it was really good. We're looking forward to trying the pizza on our next visit.
Really good spot with lots of food options. What we had was tasty. Would come again.
Been here a few times for group events. The menu has a wide selection and the food is generally good - this time I had the French onion burger and enjoyed it. Would go again.
I had for the first time ever visiting an awful burger. It was CB one of their specialties where they stuff the burger but it was cooked until it was dry and tasteless hard like a hockey puck. Would never ever even think of order this ever again.
Service was slow and food was okay. If its go out for a casual meal with a group everyone could find a meal they would like. But if its something a little more intimate then this is not the place.
We had an event at The Mighty Squirrel and chose to try this restaurant's menu. We ordered the spicy calamari (not spicy and no flavor, VERY greasy), zucchini sticks (not sticks, but slices, over fried, VERY greasy), and a Caesar salad with no dressing (there was a bug on the cheese). We spent $60 and had to throw half of it away. We ordered take out and the staff was friendly and patient. Walking through the venue to use the restroom, the atmosphere seemed cozy, and relaxed.
Place was ok, food was eh , drinks were good!
Pretty meh. The food was okay. Nothing unique or special or delicious. Food was moderately overpriced. Drinks were extremely overpriced. Charging Boston proper prices for cocktails. Cocktail was as much as my salad entree. Service was standard for an Applebee's, which this was on par with. Just a bit nicer location and decor
I ordered a chicken tender and fries dinner and it came out to a whopping $25! I didn't notice the price until I pulled out my credit card. To me, this seemed really expensive.. and I did a take out so I can't speak for it's atmosphere. The staff was nice however but wow, that was really pricey. The dinner came with 6 chicken strips and some large cut fries with a side of ketchup. Not sure if I'll ever come back with these outrageous prices.
Friendly staff and good vibes. Food didn’t feel worth the price in quality or quantity. Veggie burger was incredibly dry and flavorless. Not a lot of options for dietary restrictions.
I ordered the stuffed American burger. It's stuffed with cheddar cheese and bacon. I guess they forgot to fill mine, otherwise the burger was delicious. Prices are high. Dinner for 4 was ridiculous, thank God I didn't have to pay the tip thanks to my family.
Food was good and atmosphere was good. The French onion soup is very tasty. We had a big party and were forced to cram. Jackie was VERY inattentive.
I used to really love this place, but the last three times in a row have been pretty disappointing. Some of the better menu items have been removed from the menu, including my favorite, the Firehouse Sirloin. The stuff that is left is kind of mediocre. The biggest problem there these days is inattentive staff- the last few times, even when it has been quiet and slow, I have waited 20 minutes + even to get a drink refill. The staff just feels like they don't really care about making eating there a good experience and the kitchen isn't putting out the same quality of food that it did when the restaurant opened. I don't think I'll be back.
Staff was courteous but food was sub-par. Nachos were noticeably reheated since the chips were stale but came in a very large portion (not worth taking home). Thought I'd be adventurous and ordered the mac n cheese stuffed burger -- I could not make it past 3 bites... had a weird sweet taste. Thankfully I was able to split the breakfast burger with the person I came with, but even this burger was just average... could have easily gone to FiveGuys and it would have been better for half the price. We also ordered cocktails and they were not good... the mule did not have enough ginger beer. I do not recommend coming here for the burgers, nachos or cocktails -- so unfortunate because the staff was so friendly!
I just tried to eat my left overs and I could not. My food felt like my 14 year old son cooked it... my husband food was mediocre but for the price I would think they would put more love into it. Gave a 2 not a 1 because the wings were ok and the service.
I ordered a Greek wrap with the option to have a lettuce wrap. Instead I got a “Greek salad” topped with lettuce on top. Dressing is basically all oil. Fries came in cold.
The salad with shrimp came with ice-frozen grocery shrimp piled on top of the greens. I was hoping the protein in the salad would be sautéed or at least warmed.
Can make way better food at home. Food was gross.
I don’t know how this place has 4 stars. The waiter came by every 3 minutes for the whole meal; constantly checking on the food or asking us to order before we finished reviewing the menu. They brought us our appetizer and not even 5 minutes later, way before we finished, they had brought entrees (after complaining the apps were comped, at least). During entrees, they had come by to try and take our plates well before we finished and asked multiple times if we wanted boxes. It felt like were being pushed out and rushed through our meal. Our appetizers were mediocre at best; the calamari was cooked in old oil (we know this because they were brown and not golden, and if they had been overcooked they would have been rubbery) and the nachos had basically nothing on them (it felt like I was eating just chips with cheese and salsa). The entrees were a massive disappointment: the ribeye was overcooked (medium-well instead of medium), bland, and had horrible sides (the mash potatoes were disgusting, at the green beans were decent), the sirloin tips were even more overcooked (well-done when ordered medium-rare) and had the same awful sides, and the crab cakes were just okay.
