steller pizza- we couldn't decide what to order so I ordered one Grandma's, one plain pizza with some meat on half and one Sicilian with sausage and they were awesome huge pizza pies we have much left over they were done on time and ready for pick up!- we did takeout and brought it home but next time we're eating in!
Everytime we come back to NY we go to Leo’s. The cocktails and food are exceptional. This time there were six of us I usually get the Zuppa di Clams and Mussels which is loaded in a wonderful spicy Italian sauce that you have to mop up with the wonderful garlic knots. This time I had veal alla Leo’s, what flavor with prosciutto, plum tomatoes, in a basil and wine sauce. My wife had the veal marsala with a rich marsala sauce, wonderful. Did I mention i started with a perfect old fashion and we shared clams originata. If you have not been here give it a try, you will not be disappointed.
Super friendly and accommodating staff. Great place to grab a pie and do take out. Only drawback was the small amount of seating in the pizzeria itself. They are attached to a full formal restaurant however, so if you're dressed for it you could always sit on that side.
The best experience. The owner served us and was really helpful and super nice, The squad cream and eggplant parmesan were delicious. I highly recommend it. I would come back many more times.
Whenever I have a craving for Italian food, this is the place that I call. The pizza is yummy. The Rhode Island calamari is amazing and the penne a la vodka hits the spot. The best part is that the taste remains the same whether you dine in or order out. I can’t say that for many restaurants. Thankfully, I can say it for Leo’s. Enjoy.
Had an Italian salad which was delicious and big! Didn't realize they have cauliflower crust pizza! Getting that on our next trip in that area! Highly recommend!
My father was a culinary trained chef and Sicilian, so I am spoiled when it comes to Italian food. Leo’s surprised me! Their Pasta e Fagiolo and garlic bread with Kalamata olive spread could have been a whole meal by itself. You could taste how fresh the soup was. The orrechiette with broccoli rabe and sausage had real Italian sausage. My husband had Parmesan encrusted Chicken Martini and the chicken was moist and the lemon sauce was bright. The spinach was sautéed with roast garlic and divine! To top off a great meal, our waiter John was so warm and attentive. We will be back!
My experience at Leo's is always a pleasant one especially with Melanie's customer service. I am a frequent customer during the week days. I recommend many. However today I had a different experience. I walked in and was not greeted or acknowledged until the after the person taking order acknowledged, greeted very nicely, conversated, took order and checked a customer that walked 2 mins after me. The fact that he he made eye contact we me and didn't even acknowledge me although I was standing right in front of his face really bothered me. I heard him mention his name was Frankie. I never seen him before. He may have even been the man in charge there. But that is no good customer service. Do better... As for the rest of the staff Thank for always being so kind and providing great customer service.
The food is delicious (I've only gotten pizza and salad) but my dad paid for 2 cups of ranch, which is $2.50 a SMALL cup so 5 bucks and they refused to give it to him, never said why and didn't give the money back, they did give free ranch like twice after this but why couldn't they give us the ranch or refund us? It is good food though but if this happens to you fight for the ranch! For real though this was insane, the waitress are nice and the atmosphere is kinda crowded? It is the best pizza I've had in my opinion tho so total: 3 stars
Came in today and ordered a meatball parm hero and soda. Online says hero was $12. Total bill came to $18+ change. I wasn't going to argue but how much is soda and tax? Unless the pricing online is not accurate in which they should update. Nonetheless the sandwich hit the spot
It’s ok. We were hoping for a better Italian place with not inflated prices but this place is just ok. Food is ok. Prices are better. Atmosphere is not great. The restaurant needs dimmer lighting and a better sense of space. Bar vs dining room. The wine is too expensive for not having a variety of brands. $13 for a glass of wine known as Chardonnay, Cabernet or Pinot is not worth it. Have a house wine level and a better wine level. The to go salads that accompany a meal are so small they are not worth the fork bites. I will say they have the best Caesar salad in the area hands down. And the garlic bread is good as well.
The place appears clean. Simple casual dining in the pizza area. Restaurant area was more intimate. The pizza tastes average, but is expensive. Even NYC pizzarias have combo deals and/or .99 cent slices. I observed staff being a little snoody with some customers. Service was a fast.
We ordered take out to be delivered. It was $72 for 2 large pies (1/2 cheese & 1/2 pepperoni) and (1/2 meatball & 1/2 chicken bacon ranch) and 1 hero. That is way too expensive for pizza and a sandwich. The food is great but good lord you are serving caviar and champagne
Update your hours of operation. Called at 8:35p for delivery. They weren’t delivering so I asked to order for pick up. I ask for large salad grilled chicken and order of penne alla Vodka. She had to check with kitchen. I was then told kitchen was completely closed. Please update hours of operation. Because anyone would think you can order food for pickup…. up to closing. 9p closing time to me means kitchen closes at business close. Take out Pizzaria restaurants don't serve food 30 mins prior to closing? It was obvious that me calling bothered staff. Will no longer be using this pizzeria.
I bought a $50 gift card for my mother for Christmas and she went to use it just 2 weeks later and it had a ZERO balance. They said they could do nothing at the time and said management would follow up. My mother returned the next day and again no resolution. I went in 2 days later explained the issue with staff and showed the charge on my credit card statement. Staff called management on the phone who said again they would follow up and check records but it could take awhile. No one ever followed up this was many months ago. They charged me $50 and gave me nothing but an empty gift card. I trust when I purchase a gift card that the credit is added. After 3 in person visits it was obvious they did not care to rectify the situation and just gave empty promises to follow up. This was my go to pizza place and restaurant for many years as well as my mother’s so we are beyond disappointed. As a working mother I don’t have $50 to just throw away or extra time to keep showing up requesting a resolution. Honestly after showing my credit card statement that they definitely charged and after us returning so many times in a row I don’t see how they didn’t honor our gift card or at the very least give any follow up call as they continuously promised at the time to get us to go away. The timeline of when I purchased the gift card to when my mother tried to use it was only a 2 week difference so it’s not like we had forgotten we had used it. Frustrating.
Regular customer orders a Lg pie half chicken cutlet / onion and ham. Patiently waited for it. Told the staff to take there time no rush. I never knew what under cooked pizza was until now. Very disappointed threw the pizza right in the trash. My toddler was so upset- and the staff apologize and suggested to bring it back. It was 7pm it wasn’t even worth it at this point. But since they didn’t even suggest a voucher or discount for the trouble I took a picture to show them that this was NOT edible. Not cool. The pizza was sticky ! So gross. Will not order in the future.
