The Green Bowl blew me out of the water with their food and attention to detail! I had a bit over a week to food for an office party for 30 people. Due to the office COVID policy all 30 meals had to be individually packaged. I reached out to The Green Bowl on a coworker’s suggestion. He said that not only was the food delicious, but it was also gluten free, with vegetarian and vegan options-perfect for feeding a crowd with a variety of dietary requirements. The owner got back to me very quickly and was extremely generous with the menu options they could provide on our budget. Yami promised that she could do individual packaging and she totally delivered! I expected having to sort out 30 clamshell boxes. Instead, we received 30 individual bags each labeled with the content and stuffed with a menu. The best part? All the packaging is recyclable/biodegradable! Now for the food: For most people this was their first time having an arepa. We ordered pork, chicken or vegetarian arepas and rice bowls. Everyone that had an arepa said they were crispy, juicy, and packed with filling. The rice bowls were a very generous portion and every component had great flavor. The sauces (creamy avocado, chipotle mayo and mojito) were all delicious. I can’t wait until I’m down in Wappinger Falls to have an arepa!

I had the most spectacular lunch here today. The staff is so friendly and kind. They have a dedicated gluten free fryer so safe for celiac like me. The green Juice, plantains and arepa really I’m drooling just thinking about them now. I’ll be back soon. I’ve decided to just work my way down the menu. It’s phenomenal. I feel like so many, just shocked I had not been in yet. Deff order ahead online if you’re in a rush because they are really cooking lunch for you. I had all the time today and I got to really savor a magical meal! Thank you.

I ordered chicken with 🧇 waffles. The chicken was overcooked and very dry I had to throw the chicken away. I've eaten meals at the Green Bowl that were very good but the chicken and waffles meal was not good. I would give the cook a second chance to make it right.

Not only do they offer juices and salads, but I was pleasantly surprised that they offer latin dishes...yumm! Prices are a bit high, as to be expected in this current economy. For two people at lunch time, we spent close to $50. I had the Patacon Venezolano and yucca fries, and wow they were so delish! The Patacon tasted fresh and the fries were perfectly crunchy and moist. I'll def come back again! Highly recommend.

I feel like their food was better when they first opened. It isn’t a bad place at all but it can be pricey for what you get. The yucca fries seem store bought and not fresh like before.

The food is decent. The atmosphere is dark & gloomy and the staff present with attitudes. They do not wear gloves from money exchange to touching food. I’ve seen them use the blender multiple times without ever cleaning it. Too expensive for the quality of food and nasty attitudes.

I’m guessing that’s how they got 4.4 stars reviews. On my end: - expensive for no good reason - they wear gloves, yet touch their faces with it, and then use the same gloves to add the greens to your salad. Yep, I’m not coming back.

Budget at least half an hour for your food to be ready. When ordering for two, we usually find that it’s closer to 45 minutes to get a breakfast sandwich and smoothie for each of us. I also saw the girl putting apples in the juice machine with their stickers still on. Even if the machine separates that out, when literally every apple in the bin still has a sticker on, I find it hard to believe the fruits are getting washed. It’s a shame because the food is actually good and they decent gluten-free breakfast sandwiches.

I hate to leave a one star review, but I have to share my experience with this restaurant for anyone else who has an allergy. This is not a safe establishment for people with allergies. They botched my entire order, and I almost ate gluten which I’m allergic to. I ordered from The Green Bowl on Uber Eats on 7/31 and ordered an açaí bowl - no granola (because the granola contains gluten). I specified my allergy in the order as well. When I got my order, the açaí bowl had granola in it. Their menu even says they don’t provide granola by default because of gluten allergies. So not sure why it was in my bowl. I tried to call them to see if it was a misunderstanding but they were closed by the time I got my order. They also didn’t give me any of the dipping sauces I included for the other stuff in my order. After all that, they would only refund me for part of the açaí bowl. I couldn’t eat it at all obviously. Waste of money and almost got me very sick. 0/10

Used to love this place. Went there recently and spent almost $80 . They forgot to put a $20 sandwich in my bag ( I get it, this stuff happens) I called when I got home and they promised to refund my credit card. Days later with no refund, I reached out again and was promised the owner would refund my card. It has been weeks now and no action has been taken. Extremely poor customer service, won’t be going here again.

We order from this restaurant often through work. My husband 1st time tonight. We were charged 30$ came in to hear they refunded us and now owe 75$. The owner blamed the computer. 2 chicharom with rice, empanda and quesillda 75$ the owner dropped to 60$. He really didn't have a good explanation other than computer issue. Sadly won't be back . Its a shame it is cute place food normally good

Had high hopes for this place only Dominican spot for miles, I asked for no olives apparently he read extra olives, put the worst looking avocado in there and then I open my arepa to a raw arepa and not melted cheese 😡 so disappointed 30 minute wait for the food only client at the location so they weren’t even busy. Very disappointed

We had such an AWFUL food experience here. I had a chicken pesto panini and my companion had a chicken chipotle panini. Never, ever did we have such weird paninis. They were toasted for at most a few seconds so basically we had just plain dry white paninis. The chicken in both cases were like pieces of cardboard... way way overcooked and way way too dry and rubbery and tasteless. As for the pesto.. there was maybe a half a tsp of it on this dry tasteless sandwich that had a tiny piece of avocado and a bit of red peppers and onions. What a waste of money both these paninis are! The fries were good though and the woman behind the counter was very nice. What a sad sad experience!
