Great local Italian spot!! Very nice ambience with a lot of dining room/bar seating. Pictured here is an octopus special which was perfectly cooked with a basil pesto sauce along with the chicken Milanese (which was bigger than the dinner plate) pounded very nice and crispy and we couldn’t go wrong with the zuppa di pesce over linguine. Cocktails were delicious too with a lot of unique specialty drinks. Will definitely be back!!

Absolutely fantastic service. Great bartender who made the best old fashioned. Dinner was amazing. The potato croquettes appetizer were light and fluffy with a crisp coating. The angry vodka chicken parm was incredible. The oversized cavatelli and broccoli was just as delicious. We will definitely put this place in rotation.

Steak made exactly how I like it and tasty cocktails/wines by the glass. Great date night spot. I recommend ordering the gnocchi entree as a starter to share!

Excellent food, service and ambiance. Love the decor with touches of gold. The gold lamps on the table are adorable and not too bright! The bar when you walk in is huge and with a few TV’s, you can come here for any mood: you want a cocktail and app at the bar to watch the game or a for a nice upscale sit down dinner. We tried everything, every dish was incredible. The truffle gnocchi is fluffy and out of this world! Steak, meatballs and shrimp appetizer were incredible. Obviously the angry chicken park is a staple - where else are you getting that? - is served with a diff presentation too on the cutting board. Highly recommend and about to be our new go to spot.

The food and hospitality here are hands down a fantastic experience. This is a generational family owned experience that should not be missed. The food portions are quite large but absolutely delicious. I had the lasagna, truffle gnocchi, seafood risotto, espresso, and tiramisu. All were fantastic, and if in the area, this is a must try. THANK YOU, Chef Joseph Gramaglia, Anthony Gramaglia at A&G Deli for the food and hospitality can't wait to be back.

A wonderful, higher end Restaurant tucked away in an unassuming location in a modest sized strip mall shopping center. Excellent food with excellent service and a beautiful bar. They offer a range of dry age steaks, seafood and other Italian food.

Thank you to Joey Gramaglia for setting us up last night with the perfect private room so we could have safe dining for my mom's special milestone birthday! The food, presentation & service was perfect. It was our first time at Saly G's and we will be back! Great drinks, apps, salads, entrees, & desserts! They have a ramp for access to inside and they have outdoor dining also.

Saly G’s is really nice. If you haven’t been there yet you definitely need to go. The food is excellent and the service is so good. We had the stuffed mushroom appetizer, mushroom raviolis and I had an Aperol spritz. The busboy helped my grandmother to and from her chair and they let us sit at the closest table to the door. The waiter took a photo of us with my phone. I really appreciate how they made my grandmother so comfortable and were very attentive and accommodating. Just a great experience, can’t recommend enough!

Saly G’s is my favorite restaurant in the area. Delicious food- you have to try the pillowy soft truffle gnocchi. I love Saly G’s so much so that I decided to have my bridal shower here. Joe was welcoming, accommodating, and great to work with. In a world where we are nickeled and dimed for everything, it was so refreshing to work with someone who offered fair prices and prioritized the customer. They were able to accommodate vegetarian and gluten-free guests. The shower was perfect. Thank you Joe and the wonderful Saly G’s staff for an unforgettable day!

The staff was attentive and on point. The Bolognese and the veal parmesan (seen here) were incredible. The restaurant is beautiful decorated and has great vibe. I love this place. Make reservations and there's plenty of parking.

French martini was tasty and the truffle gnocchi was delicious. They also give a little eggplant dip for bread.

I would give this restaurant 10 stars if I could. I recently had a wedding celebration luncheon here which wound up turning into an actual Wedding! Joe and his team went above and beyond to make our wedding, a special and memorable occasion. Our guests are still raving about the food, drinks, atmosphere and service. Thank you Joe and everyone at Saly G’s for all that you do. We will see you again soon!

My favorite restaurant. I go here with my family so often. My friend’s family owns this restaurant. The spicy rigatoni is the best meal they serve by far. The chocolate lava cake is the best dessert. I recommend this place for celebrating, going out, dates, gatherings.

I visited during a family trip, and I have to say the atmosphere was fantastic. The highlight of the experience was the bartender named Yamil, who crafted some incredible cocktails for us. If you’re ever there, make sure to ask for the pistachio martini it’s an absolute 10/10! Highly recommend this spot.

We came here on a Saturday night for my brothers rehearsal dinner with a party of 34. All I can say is, everything was excellent. From the service, to the owner, to the food - excellent. Every course was abundant and delicious. We felt so welcome to enjoy ourselves, cared for, and most importantly satisfied in every aspect of our night. I can not recommend Saly Gs enough. The decor and ambiance was fantastic and well thought out and there was an obvious level of care in our party while still having an entirely packed main dining area. Overall, they truly deserve the notoriety they received and we will absolutely be coming back for years to come!

This business cares about it's reputation and it's patrons. I had ordered some trays for a gathering and would be ready for Saturday. Unfortunately when I arrived nobody was there at the time we agreed upon. While I was waiting an employee showed to start his day (Jorge). I explained the situation, he knew nothing about the order. He immediately was willing to help and made a call. As I figured a mistake was made and my order was never made. I get it mistakes do happen but it's what you do to rectify the mistake that matters. Jorge said he will get the order going immediately and will also have it delivered within 1.5hrs. I left not happy and not knowing if I trusted what would happen next. To my delight the food was delivered earlier than expected. And compensation was given for my troubles. The food was displayed nicely and tasted as good as it looked. I will certainly give them another shot at catering and look forward to having dinner at Saly G's. Pretty winded review but wanted the story told. A shout out to Jorge for making this situation go from zero to hero. Thanks, John

We found this place on open table. We were very pleased with the overall experience. The staff was awesome, from the bartenders, waiter and busboy. The hostess greeted us with a friendly smile and welcome. The owner came by the table twice to check on the service and food. The everything was excellent. The spicy shrimp was great, as well as the homemade pasta. I had veal parm on the bone, that was so big it had to be served on a wooden cutting board!! The homemade donut dessert was the finishing Touch on a great evening. Joe, we will be back soon with family.!

I had been hearing good things for awhile and finally made a reservation for 7 for my mom's birthday. Can't say enough good things. Food was excellent, with a solid wine list, but more than anything the service was perfect. Perfect timing, respectable, friendly but professional...we had such a lovely evening. Can't wait to come back.

This place had the best tasting food I have ever had. Started off with stuffed mushroom appetizer which was amazing. For main course I had rib eye steak which was charred to perfection. Meat was really tender and the homemade steak fries were really good. Will definitely be returning next time I am in New Jersey. I highly recommend Saly G’s to everyone!

They were very busy on a Saturday but we got seated, thankfully. Our server and the service was great, prompt and attentive; all appetizers ordered were very tasty, our favorite were eggplant rolatini and calamari. Main dishes were good as well, had a problem with one dish but it was taken care of! Desert was great! I highly recommend this place for either a dinner or celebration!

This restaurant can easily be passed by as it’s behind a shopping center. Im so glad I was able to find this restaurant through Yelp otherwise I would never knew it existed! They have a really nice menu selection, and everything was reasonably priced too. For appetizers we had the tempura battered stuffed zucchini flowered and the melenzana. The stuffed zucchini flowered were excellent, and I highly recommend ordering it! The melenzana was good just not nearly as good as the stuffed zucchini flowers! For entrees we the veal chop parmesan and the house made pasta purses stuffed with pear and Parmesan in a brown butter sauce. The veal chop parmesan was DELICIOUS! It was nice and tender, and the sauce was packed with flavor. It was a huge dish, but it was so good I finished the whole thing! The house made pasta purses were good, but it needed more brown butter sauce. We also felt the sauce could of been better to that dish. For desserts we ordered the Nutella stuffed ice cream waffle sandwich and the lava cake. I had asked the waiter prior to ordering the lava cake if it was house made which he told me it was otherwise I would of never ordered it. Turns out the lava cake was not house made, and it was not good at all! Skip the lava cane for sure! The waffle sandwich I asked for it to come with Nutella, and it was very good! It could of been better if made with better tasting ice cream though! The ice cream wasn’t that great! A restaurant of this caliber should be serving Haagen Dazs or Ben and Jerry’s for their customers if they can’t make it house made. We really enjoyed are meal here, and I highly recommend dining at Saly G’s Restaurant and Tavern in Warren!

I had heard about this place from my daughters friend and decided to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary here . What a hidden gem ! Located on the back side of a strip mall in Warren . Such a beautiful ambiance definitely a good date night spot . They have a full bar and plenty of seating . We went on a Wednesday night around 5:30 and it wasn’t too busy at the time but by the time we left they were almost a full house . The staff were super friendly and attentive. The menu has plenty of delicious choices and they offer specials as well. I’m all about the appetizers so me and my eldest daughter ordered several to share as our meal . We had the artichoke salad ( fell a little short in the flavor department could have probably used a balsamic glaze to elevate the flavor ) but the special truffle lunetta OMG so good petite raviolis and truffle butter cream sauce . We also ordered the seafood tower for 2 which was served with raw oysters and clams and jumbo shrimp and chunks of crab meat . We also tried the grilled octopus specials served with fingerling potatoes. My husband tried the pork chop which was about 2 inches thick and cooked to perfection tender and had great flavor. My youngest ordered the tagliatelle pasta which was cooked slightly al dente and served in a tomato cream sauce it was delicious . Our meal was simply delicious and we enjoyed the atmosphere. I will definitely come back to try some of those other delicious sounding dishes . They are celebrating their 15 year anniversary! Cheers to many more !

Loved this place so much, so went back for a special celebration. The food and drink were excellent, and the table service superb. However, when we entered the restaurant, the host looked at us as if we had 3 heads! No warm greeting. No smile. I had to greet him! Very unfriendly to be the host of such a fine restaurant. I also noticed that the restaurant “regulars” seem to receive preferential treatment! The host, who didn’t greet us, was falling all over the table next to us!! All in all, the food and table staff/service well-surpassed the poor first impression we received.

Overpriced for the food you get. Go to like summit for proper litalian food. TBH go to Di Mao in Berkeley heights, you get proper food for a great price.

I’d like to start by saying that the food and drinks were absolutely delicious, nothing wrong with the meals we received. My issue with our experience last night was the service. We were a table of 9 people celebrating my husband’s birthday. We were sat promptly at our reservation time, 7:15pm. We did not even speak to a server until 8:15pm. Put our drink orders in at that time and took another 20+ minutes for our drinks to come out. I’m also 95% sure our server was not actually a waiter and was a host or something trying to help because literally no one was serving us or even looking at us. We put in our app order at 8:45pm and the food came out about 30 mins later, everything was delicious. We finally put our dinner order in at 9:45pm.. it was actually insane. I was a server for many years so I’m very understanding when it comes to busy nights at restaurants, but this was nuts. We were there for almost 4 hours by the time we left after dessert. At least we got to spend a lot of time with our friends lol

A truly meh experience. If you're into full‑volume Real Housewives of New Jersey chaos, congrats — you’ve found your spot. For the rest of us, there are far better options in this price range. Fifty‑plus bucks for a brutally overcooked, flavorless fillet that I had to excavate from a mountain of mashed potatoes and a sticky glaze — because that’s how they serve it, buried like culinary lost treasure? It felt like the cook had a personal vendetta against me. Hard pass. Not coming back anytime soon — my taste buds deserve better.

We came here specifically for the weekly Saturday night skirt steak special, only to be told at 7:00 PM on a Saturday night that they had already run out. That’s extremely poor planning. If you advertise a weekly special, you should have enough to last through normal dinner hours. When we brought this to the waitstaff’s attention, there was no apology, no effort to make things right - the staff acted like this was completely normal and was not at all concerned. To make matters worse, the chicken my husband ended up ordering was rubbery, and the sweet and sour calamari was served with very little sauce. Overall, a very disappointing experience and not a place we’ll be rushing back to.

I had high hopes for this place based on all the positive reviews, but unfortunately I was really disappointed. The ambiance is very nice, especially considering it’s tucked behind a strip mall. That’s probably the highlight of the experience. When we arrived, there was no one at the host stand. After waiting a few minutes, someone who seemed like a runner or assistant waiter eventually came over. We had a reservation and were initially offered a high-top; when we asked for a regular table, it felt like an inconvenience, though they did seat us. We were brought bread, butter, olives, and an oily eggplant caponata. We booked through OpenTable because we had an $80 reward card, and the restaurant advertises a prix fixe menu prominently on its website. However, we were never offered the prix fixe menus, and we noticed no other diners were either. It felt intentionally hidden. When we asked for it, the waiter (Hector) seemed annoyed. We ordered eggplant rollatini and shrimp appetizers, and the angry chicken parm as our entrée. It became clear that ordering off the prix fixe menu means noticeably smaller portions. Two pieces of eggplant rollatini instead of three, about a third of a normal shrimp appetizer portion, a very small piece of chicken parm, and a small cannoli. At $55 per person, that’s steep for what you get. The chicken parm was thin, burnt, and came out slightly cold. Easily a 2 out of 5. They also charge for soft drink refills, which genuinely surprised me. I eat out often, and it’s extremely rare to see that these days. To make matters worse, when we tried to use the OpenTable reward card, the waiter said he’d never seen one before and told us there was no manager on duty. We were told we couldn’t use the card and had to put the entire bill on a credit card instead. Between the unfocused service, poor handling of the prix fixe offering, and food that didn’t live up to expectations, this was a miss for us. I wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend it, which is disappointing given how promising it initially seemed.

I was very disappointed with this restaurant. First and foremost, the food was mediocre at best. But worse than that was the value......VERY PRICEY! My son ordered a 16 ounce steak and there was no way the steak was more than 10 ounces and the nerve to charge $62 for it and no steak knife provided. I ordered a Modelo beer on tap. I got a 10 ounce glass of beer and was charged $10 for it....ridiculous! They charged for each soda per glass at $2.50 a pop .....refills of soda should be free....not here! And the final nail in the coffin for me was the fact that if you paid using your credit card, you were charged more than if you paid in cash. Our meal came to just over $300 .......like I carry around that kind of cash !! I'd never go back to this place even if someone else was paying for it. The ONLY good thing about it was the atmospere....it was a nice place.

I think my wife and I just had our worst meal out ever. First, we were freezing and no one seemed to understand what we were saying. Second, we waited 20 minutes to get our drink order in (I think there was one waiter for the entire restaurant). Third, the food was abysmal. Baked clams were barely seasoned and oddly crunchy (either incinerated or fried). I asked to have shrimp with my pasta. No shrimp was brought. I asked again and then was given a plate of seemingly fried shrimp without breading. Bland, awful, overcooked. Pasta was $25 for probably 25 pieces of rigatoni. Wife was displeased as well. We’re still in shock. We paid $100 for 2 plates of mediocre pasta and burnt clams. I don’t even know what to say. Disappointing is an understatement. We were there once before and it was good enough to return but this was ridiculous. I feel like I was robbed.

We were regulars but we’ve noticed a major change in the quality of food lately. A couple of months ago we had steak that was chewy and was originally served almost raw when we ordered it medium rare. They refired the same cut of steak and it was then over cooked. We let it go because we had several great meals there. But then we’d had a couple more sub par meals. This last time will be our last time dining there. The owner/chef sat us barely greeting us and is always less than friendly unless he knows you. We ordered the octopus special as our appetizer and my first bite in there was a huge piece of plastic in our food. We let our waiter know who was incredibly apologetic and said he would let the kitchen know. The risotto special had zero flavor and at the end of the meal no one from the kitchen had come over to apologize for the plastic. The whole thing really put us off especially when you’re spending over $200 for a dinner for 2. My husband and I walked out and agreed we were done with Saly G’s. It’s a shame because it was our date night spot for the last couple of years.

Restaurant canceled my reservation the day of with a false and made-up excuse/reason. Ruined my friends celebration, babysitter and schedule.
