My family loves this place, and I would definitely return for date night or birthday dinners. This past Saturday, my family was celebrating my brother's one-year engagement to his beautiful fiancée, my future sister-in-law, and Eid. Ty was the best waiter we could ever ask for. He constantly checked in to ensure we were happy with our meal or needed anything. At the end, we asked if he could take a picture, and he insisted on taking a photo later on and surprised my brother and his fiancée with a candlelit cheesecake and champagne glasses. The service was impeccable, not only was Ty excellent, and ensured you were taken care of. Other team members checked in on our table and routinely swept the dining hall to check on other guests. There were eight of us, so we did the family style, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts! My family loved the shrimp scampi, cheesecake, tiramisu, mozzarella, and fried zucchini. The Parmesan-crusted chicken was my favorite, but everything was so delicious. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It's very extravagant and romantic. We loved our meal, and it made for a beautiful time and meal with my family. If you go, ask Ty to look out for you.
We came here for dinner and we absolutely loved our experience! The interior of the whole restaurant feels so homey and cozy with the lovely decor and ambiance. The food is delicious, and the service is unbeatable. We ordered from the family style menu, and we got the Caesar salad, Maggiano’s salad, calamari fritté, stuffed mushrooms, famous rigatoni “D”, mom’s lasagna, shrimp scampi, red snapper, and the dessert sampler. Absolutely everything we ordered was phenomenal, and we loved the option of ordering from the family style menu. The service was excellent, and our server was very attentive to our needs at every point throughout the meal. We will definitely be back again for the family style menu when we’re in the area!
Here’s a review you can use: --- I had the pleasure of dining at Maggiano's Little Italy for Thanksgiving, and it was an exceptional experience! The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. The cozy, warm atmosphere made it feel like home, with an added touch of elegance. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. I highly recommend Maggiano's for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience, whether it’s a holiday or just a regular day.
My family, husband, son, daughter in law, 3 1/2 yo grandson and 2 yo granddaughter were visiting National Zoo we stopped here for dinner. The food was phenomenal. Hubs got the pasta bolognese and hasn’t stopped talking about how great it was. I got Chicken Marsala. Amazing. The owner (I think) came to the table after dinner to chat. Get the tiramisu! Great atmosphere! Gonna try the one nearest me in Cherry Hill, NJ
The food was delicious, we had breaded chicken and lasagna. My kids really love those kids' meals with homemade ice cream at the end. Sydney was really patient and great! We really enjoyed our family time. Loved the $5 take-home meal deal. Nice holiday music.
Our party of 5 dined family style at 11:00am on 7/1 to celebrate a birthday. Our waiter Kristian was so kind and capable. We had not dined at Maggiano’s in over 5 years! It was delicious! The parking at this location is a mess with the construction. Plan accordingly if you have reservations. My daughter is a vegan and they adjusted her portion accordingly. The Maggiano’s salad, stuffed mushrooms, bruschetta topping, red snapper, Alfredo, and manicotti with truffle sauce was amazing. The dessert tray was out of this world! The eggplant parm had a lot of breading and very little sauce (we did not care for it), bruschetta toast was hard as a rock (my family mentioned) and I think it’s time that you served gluten free rolls when you have a special request (keep them in the freezer!) but other then those 3 things…I would give it a five star rating!
Nice restaurant witha good vibe. Very spacious inside. Clean and nicely arranged tables. Staff was friendly and checked on us regularly. Food was amazing. Very tasty and delicious. Dishes are big too. All food we ordered were brought to us within minutes. Drinks were smaller in size. Their bathrooms were clean as well. Recommends makeing an appointment. Parking is not that good. Behind the building you can find 2 hour parking spots. But I have seen some tickets given on some cars on our way back.
Went for Christmas and New Year Eve 2023, cause it’s just that wonderful. The bar is by far cozier than the actual restaurant but either option is decent. We love the Maggiano salad! Food is very good, various options to choose from. Friendly staff and pleasant overall atmosphere. Oh and there was a murder mystery happening upstairs while we dined which was pretty cool (private events etc). Highly recommend!
I absolutely have nothing but positive things to say about this place. I’ve been here several times and every single time I go, my experience is always a great one. I ordered the Crab Cakes and Mozzarella Cheese sticks for lunch (no photos). Delicious! Ordered the Blackened Salmon w/shrimp, mashed potatoes and spinach. Soooo, so good! Also, the Lasagne was perfect!
Though they didn’t have neither soup nor calamari (oh, my☹️), we were very pleased with the service and food (amount and quality) and went there twice. Food made deliciously and we enjoyed every bite of it! Thank you for amazing food and service
Magnificent Maggianos on Wisconsin Ave is the place to dine with delicious appetizers, salads, and the main courses for everyone. Ample portions, well seasoned, and will leave you with little room for their over sized desserts.
This place is my favorite especially for happy hour. Salah was a great bartender and I really enjoyed the atmosphere.
Made sure my Auntie's 80th birthday celebration was top-notch. Our 18-person group needed for nothing. Beverage glasses remained full and the family-style service platters were perfectly placed so everyone's section had their own servings. Auntie's special birthday cake super chocolate wedge blew her (and us) away! We didn't feel rushed to celebrate and we were accommodated with to-go containers. 2x satisfied patron.
This is a great classic Italian restaurant in the Chevy Chase area of Washington D.C. You walk in through the bar area, then a small dining area before entering the huge classical dining room. It has booths on all four sides, the one on the dining room walls are elevated. Eventhough there are tables setup in the center, one cannot help notice the the huge wooden parquet floor, that can also double as a dance floor. They must have been hosting wonderful weddings and/or private functions in the place. It has the classic upscale Italian restaurant/venue. The service was exceptional so was the food. The freshness and quality of the ingredients justify the price charge. The only "negative" thing is that the temporary menus has a lower price than the actual line items in the final bill. It was worth a visit.
Great service and great food. Everyone from the gm dave to the server Duane, the bartender Shane was excellent. Always a great experience
This time around at the Chevy Chase MD., location after a long time since I’ve visited last. This great chain restaurant with a good selection and attention to detail, fresh and quality ingredients with a superior and consistent wait service and a comprehensive menu listing and wine list selection!
Always very cozy place to enjoy a relaxing dinner. Their marsala cream sauce for the Rigatoni D pasta is amazing, can’t get enough. Also, the beef tenderloin medallions with creamy sauce is such a treat! We got introduced to full bodied sweet Meiomi red wine here, give it a try if you like wine on the sweet side. Our servers across multiple visits have always been pleasant! Finally, we always purchased the yummy deal of $6 frozen pasta per dish to go, perfect for lunch the next day :)
Omg this place is beautiful & very spacious !!! It gives you that Italian rustic but refined feel ! I married one of my beautiful brides there & fell in love 🥰 with the place ! It looks tiny from the outside but inside it’s huge for date night or having your event there ! In this case it was a wedding ! The staff was very nice & professional! I didn’t try the food though had to rush back to another wedding but-definitely next time
FOOD WAS SO GOOD I LOVED IT THIS IS INCREDIBLE SO MUCH BETTER THAN ANOTHER RESTAURANT I WENT TO RECENTLY. they have good mozzarella sticks edit: 4 for service since my buddy wanted a sprite and the waiter walked away and he’s big time annoyed.
Celebratory dinner for my mom’s 90th birthday was spectacular. The Ambience was perfect, the food was amazing, and the service was On Point. She had such an Great time and celebration with her friends. The staff made this very special for us!
The atmosphere was captivating. Many seating options, including booth seating and large family seating areas. The dishes are exceptional, regardless if you’re ordering an appetizer, entree or dessert. I recommend any of their pasta dishes, which are substantial in size and delicious. Every server is very warm and welcoming. I will be back very soon.
This place is one of those I can never say no to 🤣🤣🤣 This dessert drives me crazy with excitement and joy, the combination of apple pie with vanilla ice cream 😍😍 Oh please, what a delightful dessert! I love good desserts 🤣🤣 And let's not forget the food, it's super delicious, everything tastes amazing because I've tried everything on the menu! The place is super nice with a really cool atmosphere. You can have a wonderful time with delicious food. The place is clean, the only thing that has gone downhill is the service; it's terrible. That's why lately we only order takeout.
We absolutely love Maggiano’s. I’ve been coming here with my family for years, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently amazing, but what truly makes this location special is the people. Douglas behind the bar is an absolute standout. He remembers my order, is incredibly attentive, and somehow manages to multitask flawlessly while handling the entire bar area. Watching him work is impressive — calm, friendly, and genuinely great at what he does. Wednesdays are especially fun with game night — from the Girl Scout cookie samples paired with a wine tour to the games you can play with friends, it makes for such a fun, relaxed night out. Add in the happy hour, and honestly, I think I’ll be here every Wednesday now. The food, as always, was outstanding. We had the beef medallions, which were cooked perfectly — the sauce was rich and flavorful, and the crispy onions on top were the perfect touch. The Maggiano’s salad was amazing, and both the calamari and fried zucchini appetizers were fantastic. I love that these are available on the happy hour menu in smaller portions, so you can try them without committing to the full entrée — such a great option. And a huge shout-out to manager Kesh, who is truly incredible. Every time we’re here, he’s jumping in wherever needed — helping servers, checking on guests, running food, making sure everyone is taken care of. He’s so approachable, so kind, and clearly cares deeply about the guest experience. It makes such a difference. This Maggiano’s isn’t just a place to eat — it’s a place that genuinely makes your day better. Amazing food, outstanding service, and people who truly care. We’ll always keep coming back.
This Maggiano’s never disappoints! Great Food, Great Portions and Excellent Staff! I will continue to visit them and highly recommend that others give it a try as well!
The sausage Lasagne is divine!Atmosphere is also elegant and warm. This restaurant is a must see.
Maggiano’s has truly become our neighborhood favorite! We always feel welcomed the moment we walk in, and the staff treats us with such care and familiarity. They even bring apple juice for my daughter as soon as they see her—which always makes her day. The team at the bar is consistently fantastic, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. A wonderful place for both a casual family meal and a relaxed night out. Highly recommended!
My family and I ate at Maggianos tonight in DC. One of our family members has a pretty bad food allergy and we dont eat out often due to concerns. Well, Maggianos and our server, Rue, could not have been more kinder, attentive, or hospitable. They went above and beyond our greatest expectations, giving my daughter the confidence she needed to know the food was prepared safely. If you have a food allergy in the family, you will know how it feels when you can enjoy a meal together and not have to wait on edge with the epipen. I truly hope you will trust me to experience this place for yourself. Thanks again to all that made our night so memorable
We dined in on Thanksgiving day. There was a special menu for the day. Every table got rolls, 2 different salads, 2 meat entrees each with a side, 2 pasta dishes, 2 more side items, and 2 desserts. A lot of food!!!! One member of our party is vegetarian . The menu did not details each dish so we had to ask our server about some dishes. Only negative was the table barely fit all of the dishes of food.
We recently hosted an event at Maggiano's ChevyChase, the entire experience was exceptional from start to finish. The service was great; the staff was attentive, accommodating, and incredibly kind throughout the event. The food was delicious, full of flavor, and enjoyed by every guest. We couldn’t be happier with how smoothly everything went. Will definitely plan our next event with them
We came here to celebrate our 3-month anniversary, and it was such a wonderful experience. The service was truly exceptional -our server, Yosef, was incredibly thoughtful and attentive throughout the night. He took the time to share his recommendations (all of which were spot-on!) and made sure my dish was prepared vegetarian. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm, and we felt genuinely cared for. We’ll definitely be back!
We ordered catering services so cannot attest to the atmosphere in the restaurant. However, the catering group, chefs and delivery services creating an amazing atmosphere for our team returning late night to our hotel after a long day at a volleyball tournament 😊. Would give more stars if I could! Definitely recommend and we will order catering next time we are in DC.
Went here for an early dinner while visiting friends. Rue was our waiter and he did an exceptional job of talking care of us. I had the mushroom raviolis and they were great. My friend had some seafood concoction with mussels and shrimp and lobster. He said it was great too. It was a lovely dining experience and if I visit the area again I will certainly come here again. Rue is the best!!
This was nice. The stuffed mushrooms were very good. I forgot to get a good picture. Only got the finished dish. I got the rigatoni “d” with Italian sausage. They initially forgot the sausage but when they got it there was so much of it and it kinda overpowered the entire dish. I think that would taste great with steak slices though. It was still good and a great portion. It was an overall good experience.
Overall: Great vibes! Nice place to eat at Pros: Starting from the host to the waiter, service was excellent. Love to see an establishment with all race and ethnic backgrounds. Food was Excellent ! Ordered vegetarian Garlic cheese Mushrooms as an appetizer. Delish! Spaghetti entree was 4 out 5. Her salmon was delicious! Desert was good ! Cons: they forgot our Edamame seeds!
Food was good, but I thought the Chicken Parmesan was overpriced at $26.50 on the menu, only took discover I was charged $28.50 when I checked the bill at home. I have no idea what the $2 extra charge was for. Nice setting, good service.
Delicious food, and the staff are smart! Staff here can remember large orders with many alterations, and the food still comes out fast. I wish they had more non-alcoholic drink options, though. Also, the vibes in here are great! Lovely decor, low lighting is good for a date. Try the 5$ take-home dinners! You can get your parking ticket validated here, there is a direct elevator entrance from the parking garage. Highly recommended!
The food was good. I had the Atlantic Salmon topped with crab, dried tomatoes and asparagus. The salmon was very good but the crab on top was just ok because it didn’t have too much flavor. I had tiramisu for dessert it was a nice size and tasty.
A great spot to go for a dinner with friends. We ordered different options to the table to share. Service was great and the portions were decent. The average price was 40USD/Pax. We were not disappointed with our choice and will probably come back.
Since the Tysons Galleria location closed, I stopped by Maggiano’s on Wisconsin Ave — and honestly, it was such a lovely surprise. From the moment you walk in, it’s that signature Maggiano’s comfort: warm lighting, soft chatter, and the kind of garlicky aroma that instantly feels like home. The mussels were tender and full of flavor in a garlicky white-wine sauce I’d happily sip like soup, and the calamari came out perfectly golden and crisp — zero chewy bites. The staff was kind and low-key attentive, which made it easy to just unwind. I grabbed a cozy booth, plugged in my laptop, and turned lunch into a little mid-day retreat. It wasn’t too noisy for a Tuesday noon crowd, so you can easily take calls, enjoy your food, and feel right at home. Cute, cozy, and work-friendly — Maggiano’s Wisconsin Ave is officially my new go-to Italian comfort spot. 💖🍷💻✨
I had a nice dinner at Maggiano's. There weren't many diners but the service was very attentive and the food good. Two glitches. Our server recommended a lovely wine but neglected to mention it was quite pricey. The sin of omission caused a slight shock when the bill arrived. The parking validation did not take. If the parking garage hasnew technology the restaurant should make sure their validation works. Wine and parking added $50 to a single diner's bill.
My friend had recommended Maggianos as an anniversary dinner spot so we decided to visit late December. Overall, in terms of food, it’s a bit lackluster. My partner and I suspect the food was microwaved because the pasta did not taste fresh and the mashed potatoes were disappointingly clumped as one doughy ball. We had the eggplant and calamari appetizers, the lasagna, eggplant parmigiana, side of mashed potatoes, tiramisu, and lemon cookies (see photos). Out of all of those, I loved the eggplant appetizer. It’s a heart attack but worth it. My partner loved the calamari appetizer and its dipping tomato sauce. Also, although our waitress forgot my salmon add-on request to the eggplant pasta and still charged me for it, she was sincerely apologetic when we pointed out the missing salmon and had the receipt edited to have that removed. I gave this 3 stars because despite the food quality of the entrees and sides, this restaurant does have huge portions for their prices and friendly staff and service. Side note: I would recommend this restaurant for large family or friend get-togethers since when we went, there were kids running around and a group of ladies constantly screaming and squealing as they had some sort of gift opening exchange going on and were throwing their gift wrapping trash everywhere. We had a loud experience so if you’re going for a quiet dinner, avoid the main dining area.
Service is superb. However, they have made changes to the shrimp fra diavolo and they are not for the better. Pasta is dry. Shrimp still have shells and tails attached. They give you less shrimp. We have been dining here for quite some time and we thought it was just a one off. This has been happening for several months. We have given several chances to see if this is going to be a regular thing; unfortunately, it appears that this has become the new normal. This has been the issue my last three visits. Sorry to see a top tier item sink to mediocrity.
The moment I walked in and saw the food on other guests’ tables, i knew I made a mistake. And when I tasted the water-like olive oil, that confirmed my assessment. And the pastas we ordered all had a distinct unsophisticated American flavor. How do I describe it? It’s like the ingredients have never spent a minute under the Mediterranean sun. The shrimps taste like like the flavorless shrimps sold widely in American supermarkets — shrimps that have never swum much and shrimps that have gone straight from the farm to the table. Service was also just average. Nobody came to our table for ten minutes. They tried to be nice, which I appreciate. The 6 dollar pasta to go reflects the true value of this restaurant. That’s what they are really selling for 20+.
I am a Motor-coach Bus driver and I had an all female soccer team that reserved dinner here. They offered to pay for my meal. I go in and the guy tells me all I can get is Chicken Parm and a salad. That is what they give the drivers for free even though the group offered to pay for a meal. I still took it and indicated that I was eating in. He tells me to go to the marble table. I sit and 20 minutes later he brings me my food in bags. I was a bit confused because I specifically told him I was eating in. When I asked for a plate he replies, “Drivers normally eat outside.” This tells me he wasn’t listening because I told him in the beginning I was eating in. Then he had the nerve to get an attitude like i was annoying him. It is my first time here and it shall be my last. If you ignored me saying I was dining in, then it is a good thing I got the free meal on the house. If I would have ordered regularly you probably would have gotten that wrong too. 🤦🏿♂️ After that situation I didn’t even want to eat in there any longer so I took my bagged food and ate on the bus like he wanted me to from the jump. This was a very uncomfortable experience.
We were expecting something different coming to this known establishment. My fiance and I came out for dinner for a birthday dinner. For the price we are paying and for how empty the restaurant was, we were expecting a different level of service. The team barely checked on us and we had to flag them down for service for things we already asked for like pepper and lemons with our water. My fiance had to speak in Spanish to the server because he didn’t understand we wanted red chili flakes. We did see a table nearby that spoke Spanish and got quicker and more attentive service as we had to flag them down. Please advise.
Went there to eat what I always eat the fillet mignon, the service was amazing and the food was just like always very good but when I was eating with my friend there was this manager you could see that she was reprimanding a busser in a very bad way. The truth was something very uncomfortable. You could see that she was Latina and it's even something that doesn't bother me. I'm also Latina but it was a disgusting situation and it's something that makes me not want to go back so as not to witness something like that. The busser looked quite sorry and even quite uncomfortable I really think y’all should not have this type of staff or at least this type of attitudes towards the other members this manager was with this attitude the whole time I was there
The appetizers and food were awful. The manager wouldn't come over to discuss. Made the waiter adress and drown. The bronzino was dry overcooked and asparagus were charred black nothing to eat. Thr wagi meatballs were mushy and over cooked and they didn't wanna take nothing off at all. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE ON MANAGEMENT. DOUGLAS was not experienced in explaining properly. NEVER AGAIN. MANAGER SHOULD BE FIRED NO LEADERSHIP SKILLS. JOE THE MANAGER WOULDNT COME OVER. CASH THE MANAGER CAME AND MADE IT RIGHT I APPRECIATE THAT
The good was great. The service was slow, taking care of the bar and the tables. The atmosphere was relaxing. While finishing my lemonade the server asked me to leave and walked away. He needed the table for other guests, with several other open tables.
My party of 16 plus 2 infants dined here for Thanksgiving. Upon arrival, they would not sit 13 out of 16 adults present. I understand this is their policy, but it was difficult for my mother who is disabled to wait. Since it’s family style and the same price per person, I don’t understand why we couldn’t have been sat. The waiter was not friendly at first but warmed up over time, and I get it. Working Thanksgiving probably wasn’t optimal, but I still expected more. He mentioned we could only split the bill 3 ways, something that was never explained to us upon making our reservations and calling multiple times beforehand to ask questions. I’ve never experienced this at any other restaurant. How difficult could it be to split checks multiple ways for a family style, pre fixe menu? That just felt lazy to me. Our tables left us cramped against the wall, making it appear the restaurant only cared about numbers, not guest experience. My family and I spent time moving the tables away from the wall in order to sit down, and no staff offered to help. As the food plates came out, the timing of providing rolls of utensils or dinner plates was off. It left our party wondering why we didn’t choose another restaurant. Then, a staff member dropped a plate, resulting in mozarella being thrown on my sport coat. Again, no big deal, but I over heard another staff member exclaim “Jesus Christ!” when it occurred. This simply isn’t professional, further demonstrating the overall lack of training and friendliness of the staff. Support your co-worker who just had an embarrassing moment. Finally, the bill came and it was wrong. The waiter charged our 2 infants. He never counted the adults, which felt lazy and unprepared. The bill was fixed but the overall experience left something to be desired.
This has been the worst experience I have ever encountered at Maggiano’s. We were seated at 5:30 PM and did not receive our food until after 7:00 PM. Guests who arrived after us were fully served before we were. When our food finally arrived, it was cold, poorly prepared, and the pasta was undercooked. Several of the items we ordered were also unavailable, and our waiter attempted to substitute dishes we did not request. Overall, the service and food quality were extremely disappointing. I do want to acknowledge that the assistant manager, Kesh, genuinely tried his hardest to make the situation better once he saw what was happening. His effort was appreciated, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to offset such a poor dining experience. I had high hopes because I wanted to start a new Thanksgiving tradition at Maggiano’s, but this experience fell far below expectations. I hope management takes this feedback seriously
