Omg. Been by shipleys a million times and never stopped before today. And I have to say they imoressed me.... Great donuts. Not the over glazed we r used to now. Reminded me of when I was a young lad. Lad lol... And omg the pigs in a blanket with cheese and big and delicious. I will tell you I will never go anywhere else. No wonder theres a line of cars around the building. Well worth the wait.. I recommend to all. Wish there was an extra star or 2 to add to the five stars it has already

The best donuts and kolaches in Watauga, NRH and Haltom City!!! There is a reason the drive thru lane is wrapped around the building every morning and it's not due to poor customer service. It's the yummy yummy food! Shipley has been our favorite for about 15 years now. (Ever since we moved here.)

Everything was fresh and good and they also warmed up the donuts. And the donut holes for the kids, what a great place.

This place has the best jalapeno kolaches! You have to go early to get the best ones straight out of the oven or wait a few minutes for a new batch. It is totally worth the wait!

Back in mid 60's Houston, it was a big treat for us when our folks took us to Shipley's Donuts. It's great to see that today their donut's are as delicious and fresh as they were 50 years ago. My family, now living in NRH is happy to see that Shipley's Donuts has more locations and is rapidly expanding. My favorites are the cake donuts with chocolate icing and the devils food with chocolate stuffing. Today, their menu offers a variety of items; much more than they did back in Houston. I give them a five star review, as do all ten of my family members. Their customer service crew is knowledgeable and friendly. One commentator complained about being served by a man with a scraggly beard. In my view, that server would have been as clean and friendly as any other food service employee.

Shipleys always has high quality donuts and kolaches. Their service is what really makes them stand out. They cater for our events all the time and never disappoint.

Might be the best Shipley's I've been too. Donuts and kolaches were fresh and warm and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely stop by next time I'm looking for breakfast in the area.

This is one of the better Shipley's I've been to. The donuts were fresh and delicious. The cream filled actually had cream in every bite! And bonus....they carry Borden milk, so yay!

We stopped by this morning for a quick breakfast. I was highly impressed. The doighnuts are fresh and delicious! The prices are just right as well! This was my first time going and they were very helpful when I was ordering. We will be back! Thank you!

We absolutely love Shipley's. The people who work here are so nice and the donuts are better than other more "trendy" places we've tried. When some places are a fad this one is a classic. They always have a good selection of donuts. My little one loves the donut holes. He devours these ones and at other places he only eats about 4 of the 12. I've tried them and they are so soft they melt in your mouth. I usually get the maple bar and have them fill it with Bavarian and the devil's food. Chocolate donut filled with chocolate cream that's like pudding. So good! They also have just a glazed chocolate that's good if that's too much for ya. The apple fritters are amazing and the cinnamon twists are nice and light and airy.y husband loves the butterfly rolls and my oldest loves the kolaches. The owner is so sweet and if they're not packed she always comes out and says hi and sees how everyone is doing. She loves the kids. And we love this place.

Oh my god. The cinnamon sugar and all the other donuts are amazing. Sausage rolls are good too, a little light on the meat, but the quality of the roll and the cheese/jalapeños in it more than make up. Service is very friendly! Call ahead and they will pull your order aside and you can just pickup in the drive thru.

1) They have great coupons that encourage me to overeat, which I should probably be mad about, but the donuts are good enough that I'm not mad at 'em. 2) Their prices are already similar to that of a grocery store, but their donuts are vastly superior. 3) They are extremely nearby. Therefore, Shipley's is great and terrible news for me all at the same time.

So happy they were still open. I had to order 5 dozen donuts and 5 dozen pigs in a blanket to pick up first thing in the morning for work. Great service!

I pass a million donut stores in 3 Mile's just to hit this shipleys!! This has been my favorite donut store for over 15 years & today they surprised me a ton! I've always LOVED the jalapeno sausage roll & donuts but today I also love the service! Service is always great but today Fernandos service exceptional, understanding & yes even showed compassion. It was was really impressive! I love my shipleys!! Thanks for getting me jalapeno roll, it's well worth the drive!

Have made a weekly tradition of visiting Shipley every Sunday for nearly six years. The donuts are always great, the service is fast and courteous and the selection very broad. No other donut shop will do!

I grew up with Shipley’s and was happy to see this family owned location hanging in there for so many years. Some may have taste difference when it comes to a sweet cake treat, but this chain is the original OG for a quick sweet treat. The team here is hard working starting at 4am get it done’ers. Pay them a visit when you can, the coffee is great and they serve Ozarka spring water, not city tap. Of course, the doughnuts are great, but that goes without saying.

Never been to a shipleys before this. It was a surreal, slightly magical location. When I entered I felt a slight pulsing in my head. I walked farther into the store restaurant hybrid and my senses blurred. The entire room spun and resettled itself into a strange new position. The throbbing in my head stopped and it occurred to me that that the throbbing was my mind turning itself inside out to perceive an extended reality. My vision somehow pushed back the constraints of it's ability to only see colors on the observable spectrum and I saw images not meant to be processed by the human eye. I heard a calling to walk through this impossible landscape so strong it was like disobeying fate itself. As I walked I understood what had brought me here. Simply Great Donuts! This little place has some of the best ,freshest donuts and coffee around ! But you got too come early for the best selection. Of course they close early,I think around 2. Thank you people who work here and make this a nice stop on any morning!

I miss the original Shipleys set up when they had fountain drinks. But, I do still love the savory, sweet and buttery donuts they have. Need to be a hint more crispy on the bottom but other than that...its my go-to place when I'm craving.

When you walk out of a donut place smelling like a donut you know you're at a legit place! This was my first time at Shipley's and the experience was great. The freshness was evident in everything. Their presentation is very appealing and makes you want to buy more and more! They're close to home so that's a major bonus. I will be coming back again and again!

Order for delivery and when they didn't have all the donuts I picked, they gave me different ones and left me a message on the box to apologize for not having what I originally ordered, and wrote what new donuts had been given instead! I thought this was a wonderful to thing to be said about this location. That when they don't have what you originally ordered they correct it and give you other options that are just yummy and great. They were very thoughtful because it's what they at the moment!!

Good donut shop with nice variety of donuts. They sell large sausage kolachs (klobasneks) both with and without cheese. I appreciated how they separated them so it was easy to tell them apart. I picked some of these up for a small group after moving to the area and definitely see myself coming back here again. They also have elegant pastries like cinnamon rolls, apple fritters, and eclairs.

I visited this location a while back, with my son using '2Good2Go'. While there, my son and I were debating which was better, 'True Moo', or 'Borden.' In-line, while waiting for our order to be wrapped up. The front-end associates cut in and offered their opinions, spoke to my son and actually listened and cared about what he said. Good Good Sweetness! Got there at 11 am and there was no buttermilk doughnuts? Well the glazed ones were very good and the vanilla cream filled were outstanding!

The selection by 10:30 was just ok. Doughnut prices were ok, but specialty ones were overpriced. Everything tasted good. Will try another place next time.

Great donuts and kolaches but they were out of the ham & cheese by 930a. Its the ony one i eat. Although a lil disappointed but the donuts make up for it. Always great!☺️💜

*** FYI, Incredibly busy donut shop on Sunday mornings. *** Service is friendly, dining area is sort of kept up but usually clean, donuts are good but are probably better tasting to those that have grown up on them. You see, Shipley's Donuts is a staple of the DFW area. Generations of local people have been eating and singing the praises of these donuts. My wife (practically a donut connoisseur) did not grow up on these donuts and feels about the same way I do about the taste. We do agree that it's a tasty donut, but not as impressive as the legends talk about so just keep your expectations realistic and enjoy these donuts as they are.

As donut shops go this is a good place to get a few dozen donuts for the gang. They're not exceptionally good but they are tasty and the oil used doesn't seem to be reused that often. The staff there is nice and very helpful.

Yummy fresh. Great owner. Can take calls for. Take out orders. I get coffee and donuts for my bosses meetings. Cheaper than Starbucks and no one ever complains. Too busy munching on those warm donuts to care that coffee is simple with or with out cream and sugar.

The glazed donuts are good. The lemon filled donut was tasty. The kolaches are okay but I have had better at some of the mom and pop donut shops. I also got some cake donuts on this visit. The cake donuts were drier than normal almost like they were burnt. I have had their cake donuts before and they are normally good. I went thru the drive- thru, there is no menu prior to getting to the drive-thru window where the live person will take your order. I would encourage you to go on their website to see what they sell prior to going thru the drive thru. Pleasant staff. Overall a good donut shop.

When they change the oil; the donuts are great. However, when they dont you can definitely taste the old oil. They are too inconsistent with the quality of food.

Good product but almost $12.00 for a dozen glazed?!!!! Flour/water/oil and glaze must have caught COVID cuz that's pretty high pricing. I'm starting a donut shop!!

The Shipley's near Beach has far superior kolaches. The breading is so fluffy and delicious there. Also the line is wrapped around the building right now and when I got to the window and had to wait over a min for the lady to stop texting before taking my order...then she continues to text while getting my order

Not much of an issue today. I wish they had the large kolache like the other location near me. Knowing that they don't have that option, I'll be going to the other location. The donuts never disappoint tho.

I had to stop here because I always see so many cars wrapped around this little building in the morning, especially on the weekend. So they weren't allowing anyone to go inside, even with masks. I am a visual person when it comes to ordering donuts, this messed me up right off the bat. So I ordered an apple fritter and a couple of kolaches. They were all "meh". I sure do miss Krispy Kreme closing right down the road.

Love the kolaches. The donuts taste just like almost every other donut shop in town. As many other people have noted the service is dreadfully slow. The owners have put forth zero effort to improve this, as they still have no menu in the drive through. The appearance of the store hasn't changed one bit in the 15 years I've been coming. It's beginning to look quite shoddy and unappealing to a potential customer. All in all, not a bad place, but go for the kolaches not the donuts.

Local donut shop that everyone likes. They have a wide variety of donut options. Kolaches, coffee and cake donuts. I wish they had the blueberry donut more frequently and be made larger. If your going for cake donuts, you'll be disappointed by the freakishly small size compared to a standard glazed.

The drive through line was a bit slow. There was only one car infront of me, but I also only saw two workers so maybe something had them backed up. We got 3 glazed and a whole milk, it was $6 even. The milk unfortunately tasted and smelled sour, but the date was still good on the bottle.

The dough was greasy and heavy. And the fillings tasted as if they came from a can. Not my preferred doughnut, but to each their own.... staff was really nice though!!

Honestly not sure what all the hype is about. The donuts are mediocre not airy or light. The flavors are also nothing to write home about. I mean I would get these for an office meeting but not to enjoy on a weekend morning with coffee.

I am rating Shipley donuts 2 stars because of how this location is handling covid-19. Employer isn’t wearing neither a face mask or gloves. Is opening bags and putting his hand in them, and who knows if their hands are clean. Please fix this issue ASAP. Thank you. Very disappointed I have always loved this Shipley location and drive 40 minutes to come to this location.

I’m disappointed I went to Shipley donuts as soon as it open and I was expecting hot fresh donut but donuts was cold and I believe they was of yesterdays tomorrow i will Try 5am donut shop they are up the road from Shipleys im in search of hot fresh plain glazed Airy donut and Shipley did not deliver! But the over texture and taste of the donut I give 6/10 but freshly made I would guess it would be 8 or 9 out of 10 but I guess I will never know because donuts are not made fresh

We were very excited to try this place but were very disappointed. The selection was poor and what they did have was horrible. The apple fritters didn't have apples in it and were tasteless. Everything else was overloaded with sugar to where all you tasted was sugar. Could have gotten better at krogers or QT.

The food is good, especially for the price. The employees are always nice. HOWEVER: The cieling leaks in multiple places when it rains. My son was standing under a vent and some fell on his arm. He went to the bathroom to wash his arm. When he came back her said "it wasn't just water". It was brown, smelled horrible and was "really gross". When I looked around I saw at least 3 places that leaking from the ceiling. This is the location off Denton hwy, and happened in July 2025. Yall need to fix this. Honestly, I'm not sure how this hasn't been an issue with the health department.

Prices have gone up considerably & quality has gone way down. The cinnamon twists were stale & wet. Donut holes were fresh and tasted good. Had no desire to try the others. It tastes ok but for the price and rude staff it’s DEFINITELY NOT worth it. You can get better selection at any little doughnut shop or Kristy cream. Also, I tried to use a coupon and didn’t realize it was for the precinct line location and they wouldn’t honor it. I will never go back!

We went to shipleys this morning and the lady rushed us through the drive thru and completely butchered our order. Anywho - Donuts are good, service isn’t great.

Toooo slow. Waited in line 30 minutes with knly two cars ahead. I was third car. When I got to window. I was told please wait. No. I drove off and nay never go to a Shipleys again. This was not my first long wait. I waited before and gave them a 2nd chance.

It’s only 8:30am and the donuts we received are not fresh at all and are cold. Pretty sure they were not made today.

The customer service at this particular location was awful. The employee /attendant who worked the front counter was an upper middle-aged brunette who did not greet me and seemed irritated by my presence. Some workers do not care that their paychecks are funded by revenue from customers. Since I refuse to spend money at places where I feel unwelcome, I won’t ever return to Shipley Donuts.

I come here most mornings, today the quality of food was terrible. Whoever made the jalapeno kolaches didn't seal the dough before baking so when i picked up one of my kolaches while driving the sausage fell onto the floor. The entire underside was open. Threw the roll of bread back into the bag and tried one of the doughnuts- it wasn't warm nor glazed. It seemed like they made an attempt but the glaze didn't stick and left a very thin sticky layer. Whoever your cooking crew was today needs to be retrained!

Todays donuts were tasting like day old donuts and looking like them. I was there before 7 a m. Now this is not the usual quality I get here but after today it will be a long time before I try you again!

The last time we were there their donuts were the Bonb.Thats why we went back! this time the donuts were not fresh and stale and i didn't see the normal peoole that worked there.& I saw the woman go back in the back to get the donuts she didn't take them from the front case .We won't be going back. I am very surprised they would give us day old donuts and think we wouldn't notice.( They got stuck in your throat when eating them they were so bad fresh donuts don't do that).Unbelievable..You do not get what you pay for ANYMORE.Back o Krispy cream they always bake fresh everyday and they won't give you stale bitter donuts.You will always get melt in your mouth freshness..

Girl taking my order spoke no English, misunderstood me about 12 times. Finally got my order put in and she gets it wrong. Will not be going back. If you're in customer service maybe speaking at least a little english

Just a mom, trying to take her kid to school, treat him to some donuts and this man seemed appalled we were even there or ordering anything. Not ok how I was treated and I’ve been in the service industry, this was awful. We will never be back.

I use to love Shirley’s, but When I got donuts Monday, they were absolutely horrible. The worst donuts I have ever eaten. Tough, doughy, with horrible frosting. It’s really bad when my team won’t even eat them! I don’t know what happened at this location, but I certainly won’t be going back.

I moved out of state 8 years ago, so whenever I come back to visit family I absolutely gotta have shipleys. This location has decided they will not make my favorite donut for some reason. Literally every other location I’ve been to has no issues making the chocolate glazed, but these folks? Nah.

Donuts used to be fresh, and great! But every since they were bought out in 2021 by Pure Rock...they have never been the same. I know the donuts I got today were definitely made days ago.

12.26.2024: Covid-19 Issue Ordered via the app & picked up my order. I received the incorrect doughnuts. Drove back there and advised the young lady with the very short hair the issue. To be helpful I showed her my order from the app. Without my permission she literally grabs my phone out of my hand to read the order. I told her calmly to give back my phone because I didn’t give her permission to touch it. She handed it back, rolled her eyes and mumbled a few words under breath with an attitude. She provided me with the correct doughnuts and verbally apologized for the mistake with a slight attitude undertone. The issue is, I just recovered from Covid-19 days ago and she possibly exposed herself and now the other employees and customers.

Visited around 1pm- haven’t been to good ole Shipleys in years- donuts were stale and old tasting- kolaches were way too much bread and gooey- very disappointing. Should not sell old food at full prices.

This place has gotten so bad that I asked what was wrong with this place and was told by Elizabeth to not come anymore. Got it on video. Man overpriced and rude disrespectful employeess no wonder it's always dead and no line. Gets worse ham and cheese not fully cooked and cheese not melted on spicy. Damn 40 years I've been a shipley's customer. I had some great memories as a kid and now I will never be back and will never take my kid there again.

I just found a pink fake acrylic nail in my 3 year old daughters pink sprinkled donut i im glad she didint choke on it but it was in her mouth which is disgusting i went back to talk to a manager and the manager was wearing pink nails with a missing nail and admited fault and i got was a free donut super gross stuff

I ordered 3 cherry, 3 strawberry, 3 chocolate and 3 vanilla filled glazed and got home and this is what I got. Please educate your weekend workers the woman just doesn't seem to understand english. But on the bright side she got 3 of them right. What a waste of $12.50

If your in a rush don’t come here. They do not have a sense for urgency. There’s only one person working the front the cook is just a cook no help. Shipley needs to ship some help for this location.
