Hearty food! Literally!! You can feel the chef-owners’ kindness & love in their food! Our family went there and order 3-meat platter - brisket, ribs, and sausage!! The pork ribs dipped in the bbq sauce were tender, juicy, and heavenly good!! You gotta eat here!! God loves you! Merry christmas and Happy New Year!! ❤️🙏

Best BBQ around. Comfortable atmosphere, friendly service, and the food was terrific. The best brisket I have had since moving to Texas! I will definitely put it on my list of top places to eat.

Tried the pork ribs, sausage and sliced brisket, with the potato salad and Mac & cheese, along with banana pudding. The pork ribs were tender and delicious and with the sauce (and probably without they were amazing). The sliced brisket was not quite as good as the pork ribs, but that's probably a matter of preference, because they were still amazing. The sliced sausage was devoured by my child. The banana pudding would have been devoured as well, but she was full from the sausage, so I got to eat that amazing food instead. Only downside, if there is one, is that the building may be considered a bit rustic by some. I don't think the atmosphere suffers for it, but it is an older building.

We stopped in for two sliced brisket sandwiches. Meat was delicious moist and seasoned perfect! Oh and plenty of meat on sandwiches. Our new go to for brisket and all the other meats! Fast friendly service cant beat it!!!

Monday Night Football and you want Bar-B-Que? There is no better place than Ryan's. We were blessed with friendly service Marie made sure our order was correct and full of love. That is the first thing you will notice in this historic smokehouse is everything is made and served from the heart. When food is made with love and passion the quality always shines. We enjoyed the sliced brisket, smoked ribs, and sausage plate. (The Classic Three-O!) Don't forget the sauce, this is a delicious warm sauce that must be the ambrosia that the Greek Gods spoke of becauce it speaks straight to your soul it is at the heart of the quality you get at Ryan's. But just when you thought it couldn't get any better you get Marie's famous banana pudding a must for any visit. Oddly enough it MUST be tasted with the white plastic spoon 🥄 😉! My family and I just relocated to this area and are super excited that we found this quality, homemade, affordable, local establishment. Although, this was our first vist it wont be the last. P.S. The sweet tea is legendary!! You will be so happy after a vist to Ryan's I know we were!!

I was craving bbq so I came in tonight for dinner. I've known this was here, but it was my first time in. The gentleman serving me recommended they potato or the 2 meat plate. I went with the plate so he recommended the brisket and the ribs or sausage. Final decision was brisket and ribs, coleslaw and mac n cheese. Those ribs were fall off the bone tender. You could smell the smoke on them before taking a bite and they were absolutely delicious. I'd previously read some of the other reviews about the brisket. I did find it on the dry side. But, also I am not a huge brisket fan so take that with a grain of salt. The bbq sauce was a wonderful compliment to the meats. I love finding meats that are stellar on their own and the sauce just adds that little 🤌. The coleslaw and mac n cheese were your nostalgic bbq joint sides and I loved them. The service spoke for itself. Wonderful gentleman working tonight. I'll be back for more ribs and to try the rest of the meats one by one.

We are visiting from Australia and we wanted to try this place and it definitely didn't disappointment. The food was delicious,the brisket was soft and melted in your mouth and the smoked chicken sandwich tasted as good as it looked. The sides that came with meal were a great accompliment. Customer service was great too. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I ordered a pound of brisket and a long sausage. It was sufficient for 2 meals for me. The police is very reasonable thanks for the modest setting. There are enough sitting and no line. If I am nearby to see my doctor again I would grab meat here again. This BBQ spot is needed for all cities.

My son and I came to Houston with his baseball team for a college showcase. After a long day in the sun and humidity, the boys wanted Texas BBQ. I mean, you can't go to Texas and not try their BBQ. So I looked up the best BBQ spots in Houston and chose this humble place. The reviews were good and even better, it was on our way back to the Hotel. Man! Thank God we came here. I wasn't expecting it to be in what I can only imagine, is a home, turned restaurant. I freaken love that! Makes you feel like you're eating in your Grandmother's or your aunt's Kitchen. I really wish I remembered the super sweet and super kind, ladies' names. Forgive me M&M, it's been a super long and hot n humid week, and this SoCal boy just isn't used to it lol. You two behind the counter made our experience even more enjoyable. You were kind and extremely friendly to all four of us. The conversation was friendly and felt like you two truly appreciated us being there. Very rare nowadays, especially in Los Angeles. So, thank you for making us feel welcome. Ok, food time.... I ordered the 3 meat plate which came with 2 sides. I got the Brisket, Pork Ribs, and Rotisserie Chicken with Potato Salad and Beans. M ( if anyone responds, please reply with their names ) even slipped us some sausages just so we can try them. All four of us pretty much had the same meats plus pulled pork. All of it was fantastic! M promised me that I would love the potato salad, even though I told her my Aunt made the best. M wasn't wrong, it was good and my Son loved their Mac n Cheese and coleslaw. The Pork Ribs were tender and came right off the bone. The Rotisserie Chicken was juicy and flavorful and the brisket was soft and delicious. Their BBQ sauce had great flavor and my Son loved the pulled pork. M&M came over and talked with us while they were cleaning up the dining room. We learned how long they've been around and about the potato challenge. My 16yr old son swore he could do it, unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to go back due to his changing baseball schedule. I promise ladies, we fully intended to go back, but time ran out. If I ever come back to hot n humid Houston, Ryan's will be the first place I go to eat at. My buddy wanted to try another BBQ spot the next day, so we went to a place that had good reviews, Pappas BBQ. I went in there expecting the same quality and taste as Ryan's, after all, this is Texas. Sadly, it wasn't. To be honest, that place didnt even compare to Ryan's Smokehouse. Customer service was bland, kinda like their food. They go way to heavy on the rub and their sides have no flavor. Pulled pork was dry and tasteless. Even if their food was good, their customer service fails in comparison to the love we got at Ryan's from M&M. Thank you ladies, for being so kind to us. You can see and feel just how much they love their customers and the food they provide. I'm sorry I can't remember your names ( I think I do, but I don't want to write them down and be wrong) so please don't take that as a sign that we don't appreciate how you treated us. Your food is amazing, but the love we got from you two, put Ryan's Smokehouse over the top! I truly hope I'm able to visit "ya'll" again. Hope you like my Texas accent lol. Its how we were immediately greeted by M, when we walked in " Welcome ya'll "

We usually get take out from here but we dined in this time. Its such a small and cozy little place. I really enjoyed it. It wasnt too busy so no issues with seating. Everything was really tasty. We had some ribs and brisket and a baked potato. All was wonderful. The only negative I have is that they should clean their walls next to the tables. They're incredibly dirty. Otherwise, A+. Will definitely recommend.

Super delicious brisket. We got the family brisket with a few sides and it was plenty. Everything was delicious. Price was great. It was super popular and people were constantly in the drive through and getting takeaway.

5 Stars – Best Brisket I’ve Ever Had! I stopped by Ryan’s Smokehouse and got the chopped brisket sandwich with a side salad—and wow, it completely blew me away. The brisket was perfectly smoked, tender, and packed with flavor. It had just the right amount of sauce without overpowering the meat. The sandwich was generous I swear it looked like a pound of meat and satisfying, and even the salad was fresh and crisp, not just an afterthought like at some places. Hands down, the best brisket I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely be back—and bringing friends!

Local hole-in-the-wall place with great food and friendly staff. In town for training and wanted some Texas flavor, did not disappoint. Small and unassuming from the outside but once you see and smell the food you know you're in the right place. Ordered 2 meat combo plate (ribs and brisket) and all the meat was cooked perfectly. Staff suggested potato salad and beans which were good compliments. Definitely come back when in town.

I've been to this eatery twice now. Mr. Ryan and the rest of the staff were very friendly, professional, and open to answering any menu questions I had. The quality, price, and quantity of food is more than fantastic. I will definitely be coming back for more, and will refer this amazing BBQ eatery to all my friends and family! The food was not that great. We got here around early dinner time and they had no more sliced brisket. So we ordered the chopped brisket. It was dry and the Texas toast that was served with it was stale. The coleslaw was not to my taste but my friend liked it. The place looks like it had not been cleaned in years. There was so much dirt and dust. The outside was in need of repairs. The restroom was really not clean at all.
