I had the pleasure of attending an luncheon event by The Female Coterie at Chart House today, and I cannot say enough about the exceptional service we received. I would especially like to recognize Robby, Noah, Alexis & Nick whose professionalism and presence truly stood out. Despite their young age, they carried themselves with such grace, elegance, and respect. They knew exactly how to move seamlessly between guests, making sure everything was handled quickly and smoothly. Their attentiveness and energy created an atmosphere where everything felt effortless. It’s refreshing and impressive to see young people who not only understand excellent service but also deliver it with such class. They absolutely elevated the entire experience, and I left with the highest appreciation for their work.

Those who frequent the Chart House Weehawkin already know that this restaurant is indeed Top Notch. Decadent dishes served with flair combined with enticing, cocktails to please any palate. There are few restaurants that can offer the breathtaking views of Manhattan across the Hudson like this one. Elegant and satisfying on every level. Highly Recommended..

If there is 6th star ⭐️ for this review, there is where they should be. From reservation, arrival, greetings from front desk, our waiter, and store manager, they’re also celebrating for the BD for us. Busy rush hour on a Saturday night but all staffs are well organized. The foods are super delicious and presented just like I would expected. We indulged ourselves with amazing night views of the river for this unforgettable experience. Thanks for the team, excellent work! definitely visit again soon.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 Chart House – Weehawken, NJ One of the most beautiful dining experiences I’ve had in NJ — the view of the Manhattan skyline is absolutely breathtaking, especially at night. The atmosphere is elegant yet comfortable, perfect for a romantic dinner or celebration. We started with the crispy calamari, which was golden and perfectly fried — crunchy on the outside, tender inside, and full of flavor. For entrees, we had the Miso Glazed Salmon and Filet Mignon with Crab Fried Rice. Both were cooked perfectly — the salmon had that beautiful glaze with just the right sweetness, and the filet was tender and flavorful. On another visit, I tried the Twin Lobster Tails with Garlic Mashed Potatoes — rich, buttery, and cooked perfectly. The lobster was tender and paired so well with the sides. For drinks, I had the Berry Mojito and a Tropical Pineapple Cocktail, both refreshing and balanced. The cocktails here are well-made and match the upscale vibe. Dessert was a standout — the Chocolate Lava Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream was heavenly. Warm, rich, and the perfect ending to an amazing meal. Service was great, very attentive without being overbearing. Everything arrived fresh and timed perfectly. 💡 Tip: Try to book your reservation right before sunset — you’ll get the best of both worlds, the daylight view and the night skyline glow 🌇✨ Overall, Chart House is a must-visit for anyone who wants fine dining with an unforgettable view. Everything from the food to the atmosphere is top-tier.

We had a group of 9. Courses came timely, and warm. Was delicious with great service. Under $900 bill with mandatory gratuity was worth it.

Celebrated my 10 year wedding anniversary on the 17th of July. The food, atmosphere and service were amazing. They noted on our menu our anniversary so we could take it home. That was such a nice detail.

My husband and I had our tenth anniversary lunch here yesterday- Jason was our amazing server! The food was SOOO good- oysters were top tier. I had the filet which was cooked perfectly and the server recommended the mango sticky rice which was so yummy! We will be back for sure

We celebrated our one-year wedding anniversary at Chart House and had the most beautiful experience. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. Our waiter (who we were shocked to find out was only three days into the job) was an absolute natural. He was so personable, attentive, and efficient, truly making us feel cared for. Hans, the manager, also stopped by to check in on us and was just as kind and welcoming. After learning we were celebrating our anniversary, he generously surprised us with complimentary desserts, which was such a thoughtful and memorable gesture. The food was delicious, the views were stunning, and the service was unmatched. We left feeling full, grateful, and so happy with our choice to celebrate there. Highly recommend for any special occasion or just a great night out — you won’t be disappointed!

I took my mom and dad here for dinner and I must say that the service was awesome. This is actually my second time visiting and the service was always great. The food was delicious. The place was so beautifully decorated….

Great restaurant. We went there for our son’s first birthday , and the staff did an amazing job. Views are impeccable. I wish i could remember our waiters name, but was one of the best waiters I’ve had.

We had a wonderful experience here last night, thank you to charthouse, their staff, and our wonderful waiter Stephen for making it a memorable experience. We celebrated my husband’s birthday here and the attention and views were on par. The food was delicious, fresh, and on time. Stephen recommended the most delicious Cabernet and dessert on the menu, he was so attentive and patient with us all that I have to commend him for making it a special night. Looking forward to returning again soon, thank you guys!

Maybe I had low expectation, but this place was great. This restaurant is definitely for the views. The food is fine too, but its similar to any higher end restaurants that you’d take on a special occasion living in the suburb. Is it comparable to Michelin / Fine dining? No. I would come here for views and relatively good food (I enjoyed Prime Rib & creamed spinach)

Absolutely delicious food!!!! We went on his birthday and were seated with the most amazing view of the city!! We decided to get the crème brûlée flight instead of the lava cake! Definitely a good decision! Cocktails were generously poured.

I recently photographed a surprise proposal at Chart House, and I have to say — this location is absolutely unbeatable. The views of the Manhattan skyline are breathtaking, the atmosphere is elegant, and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating throughout the entire experience. From the waterfront scenery to the stunning natural light, everything about this venue elevates the moment. The couple had the most beautiful backdrop for their photos, and the space gave us so many options for candid, emotional, and posed shots. If you’re planning a romantic dinner, celebration, or a proposal, Chart House is one of the best spots in the area. Highly recommend!

I have to say, I absolutely loved this place. I went to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday, and I couldn't have chosen a better place for dinner. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent. Everyone was so attentive. We were given a table with a beautiful view of New York City. Nick was our waiter. He was very attentive throughout our meal. He knew the menu very well and helped us choose our food. We ordered calamari, crab cake, and lamb chops. I highly recommend everything. The cocktails were good. The dessert was also delicious. I will definitely be back.

This restaurant is one of my absolute faves! It is *always* a 5-star experience here! From the food and the cocktails, to the service and the view, everything is impeccable! The view is of the Manhattan skyline and they have an outdoor section for you to use to take pictures or just enjoy the fresh air. The service is always excellent. And the food and cocktails are always on point. This time, I came here with a group of 13 for my husband's surprise birthday dinner celebration! I've been here a few times before with just him on romantic dates, celebrating our anniversary. The way the staff accommodated our surprise was great, too! Having his name on the menu was the perfect touch, as well! Looking forward to many more dinners here!

It was the best restaurant!👍 The clam chowder and New York strip are absolutely delicious. You won't find a better night view anywhere else! The prices aren't bad either. We entered 40 minutes after our reservation time. The reservation system needs improvement.

Excellent service and beautiful decor. Professional and courtesy service from all of the staff. Delicious food served with kindness. I would recommend The Charthouse for a business, family or friends gathering.

Made a reservation for post engagement party dinner for my finance and i and chart house blew my expectations away with amazing service and amazing food. I definitely recommend this place and Harry was an amazing host he really took good care of us and we never for one second felt neglected. The food there was amazing and that goes without saying as for the prices this place isnt as expensive as youd think it is there are definitely a lot of affordable options that are still amazing and yet you still get a very upscale amazing experience

The best view of downtown Manhattan and its iconic skyscrapers — absolutely breathtaking, especially with the calming Hudson River right in front of you. Food was just as impressive: the oysters were fresh and delicious, the steak perfectly tender, and the salad and soup both flavorful and satisfying. Everything came in generous servings, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. A perfect spot for both the view and the food — truly worth visiting!

Chart House was a great time. Nicholas was our server he was very attentive and knowledgeable. He made my daughter feel special on her 10th birthday. He gave us great recommendations on the menu. For being busy, we were served quickly. My steak was supposed to be medium well and came out medium, he got it back in the kitchen and fixed up immediately. I will definitely return here, the food, service and view were all amazing.

Chart House is gorgeous! The view is so beautiful. We started at the bar for happy hour and the bartender made good drinks. I had the Margarita. We had a reservation for dinner after to celebrate our anniversary and they made it special with a cute note and a menu that says “happy anniversary.” Our server was friendly and attentive. I had accidentally dipped my scarf in sauce and without asking, the server brought over seltzer water napkin to help me clean off my Burberry scarf. The bathroom was also spotless. I would definitely come back!

We were celebrating a special occasion and Chart House was the perfect choice. I only mentioned it hoping we’d get a table near the window to take in the amazing view of the NYC skyline but they really went all out for us. Prob 5 or 6 different employees congratulated us. It was like the whole staff knew. They even created a special menu for us. We had the meatball appetizer, salmon, filet, sides, and chocolate lava cake as well as a few drinks, and everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. Our server Laura was fantastic. The hostess was incredibly nice too but didn’t catch her name. Can’t wait to go back and thank you Chart House for an amazing night!!

We celebrated my wife’s birthday at this wonderful seafood restaurant, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, the service was attentive and friendly, and every dish we tried was fresh and full of flavor. The staff even made a small gesture for my wife’s birthday, which made the evening extra special. Highly recommended for anyone who loves seafood and wants to enjoy a memorable dining experience.

This restaurant has an absolutely stunning view — worth the visit just for that! On top of it, the service was outstanding, truly a 10/10 experience. By mistake we got an hour late and 15 minutes before the kitchen close, but Sebastian was really attentive and friendly. He helped us with our choices and everything was perfect, so much that we had to come back before to leave ny. Amazing experience, thanks Sebastian!

A fri be from NJ recommended the Chart House and it did not disappoint. Right off the bat, the view of NYC is outstanding. The whipped Ricotta and meatballs were amazing. The appetizer is a huge portion and so delicious.

We didn’t have any plans for Christmas dinner, and thankfully someone suggested Chart House, it ended up being the perfect choice. Sebastian was our server, and along with Jorge, they truly made our night. Sebastian was attentive, kind, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we sat down. He made the experience relaxed, fun, and special, which really meant a lot to us on Christmas night. Jorge was also amazing and added to the great vibe. Thank you both for making our Christmas dinner such a memorable and enjoyable experience. We’ll definitely be back!

I highly recommend Chart House, NJ. We finished our trip to NYC with an amazing dinner experience. From our first Cocktails to our after dinner drinks, the bar service was incredible. My wife especially enjoyed a Mango Mojito. We deliberately enjoyed a relaxed evening, choosing to order each course at different times. Thus, allowing us to thoroughly absorb the unobstructed views of the Manhattan nighttime skyline. We shared the National Seafood Month special. It consisted of Lobster bisque, and a surf & turf steak/shrimp combination. As if that was not enough the brought us a mini chocolate lava cake with ice cream topped with crumbled toffee sprinkles. I can not say enough about the all the staff. They catered to our needs and made us feel special. I will go as far to say simply one of the best overall dinner experiences I have had in NYC.

The place was an absolute experience. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and man did we pick the right place. Food was incredible, cooked to perfection. Our server Sarah was great as well and the views... Breath taking to say the least. Take my word for it.. You're going to love it there.

We are so so happy with our decision to celebrate our wedding at Chart House Weehawken! Toni and Christine and all of their amazing team was a dream to work with from beginning to end. Christine was always super helpful and responsive when we had random questions for the entire year and a half of our wedding planning process. She was fabulous at working with all of our vendors to make sure that everything was executed perfectly. Our guests were so so impressed with not only the gorgeous view from Chart House but with the quality of the food and the fabulous service they received thanks to Chart House staff! My mom even mentioned that our maître d' was checking in with her to see how she was doing throughout the night which I really appreciate. As the bride and groom, we always had a fresh drink, a full plate of food, dessert, and full cups of water to keep us running the entire night with our guests. I am so happy we chose Chart House and I am excited to be able to celebrate our anniversaries there for years to come!

First time here and it absolutely did not disappoint. The food was fantastic - fresh, flavorful and perfectly prepared. The service - amazing! Courtney was so welcoming, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic, making us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. Her recommendations were spot on. And the beautiful NYC view made the whole experience even better. Great food, even better service, and an incredible atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

We had an amazing experience at Chart House! Edwin was our waiter and truly made the night special. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. The food and drinks were outstanding, and the atmosphere was beautiful. We were celebrating Galentine’s and couldn’t have chosen a better place. Thank you, Edwin, for making our celebration so memorable, we’ll definitely be back!

~Fantastic View~ It's all about the view that enhances the experience. Roasted chicken is flavorful but a bit dry. Roasted beef is delicious and juicy. Staff are kind and polite. Restaurant and bar on the main floor could use some interior updates. Multi-purpose ballrooms on the second floor are spacious and comfortable. Great for social functions and special occasions

This restaurant is really about the trillion dollar view of the Manhattan skyline from the Weehawken NJ side. Food is good, service is cordial and they try their best to make everyone feel special. Little bumps in service attributed to the fact that there are a lot of special events held here, mostly birthdays. Everything went well except that the appetizers weren't cleared before the entrees arrived and we stacked up all the used plates ourselves and put them on one side of the table. All good, it was a large table with a perfect view and all can be forgiven under those circumstances. We weren't rushed, our drinks were refilled and the server took our group photos with the spectacular NYC skyline. We had the kimchi calamari, meatball and coconut shrimp appetizers. All fresh, all good. 2 orders of the Chilean seabass - risotto, 1 large prime rib that was gray, and the Australian lobster tail. 2 cappuccinos, 2 double espresso. No wine tonight, as we didn't have a designated driver back to NY. About $500 for 4 people, not terrible considering the absolutely gorgeous view. All about the view.

This restaurant has a great view of New York City, and the staff were really friendly. The food was better than I expected overall. We didn’t have a reservation but were lucky to get a table about 10 minutes after walking in probably because it was a weekday. I’d definitely come back again.

The food was excellent as was the location and the service. We had the beets, ahi tuna, miso black cod and the filet mignon. The beets and ahi tuna were stupendous. The miso cod was well prepared but NOT absolutely fresh ! The filet mignon was excellent

As with most my reviews I will have to give both the good and bad. I made reservations to come on a Sunday night. I called an hour before my reservations letting them know I would be 20 minutes late due to a bad snow storm. I was told they could only hold it for 15 minutes and I let them know it was an hour drive in snow so it was hard to predict. Finally they said you are 20 minutes late and we will hold it. However when I got there the restaurant was half full so I could understand if being late affected other parties but it did not in this case so I am not sure what the hassle was over 5 minutes. The server was very good and prompt. He did a great job of explaining the food and serving us. I hate to say this like most Landry’s restaurants the food is just ok. I had salmon and my wife had steak. The only thing that was good was the caeser salad and bread. The reason you come to this restaurant is the view. That’s it. Overall it’s not a bad place but for the price I am not sure I’d be back. Update: So management reached out to me about the situation on my visit from 1/18 and today is 1/29 and left a message on my phone. I did not get to speak to the general manager but the message was very professional. I have not been back yet but I would be open to giving this place a second try and appreciate the call.

I attended a work annual holiday party at Chart House. It was from 6pm to 10pm, we had the entire upper level for our work event, from cocktail hour to reception. The balcony’s unobstructed waterfront skyline views of NYC were stunning and as a local New Yorker, I found myself in awe — the views of the city from the New Jersey side are on another level! The food was very delicious, and they had plenty of different options depending on dietary restrictions. The service was attentive and wonderful, they checked on us often and the wine was always pouring, never a dry glass. The venue could definitely serve as a large wedding venue, the seating was plentiful. Overall, I had an enjoyable time and so did the rest of my coworkers. Probably one of the best restaurants we’ve had for a work event in a long time!

This restaurant has an amazing view of New York City. Definitely a great spot for date night. The food was good although my wife ordered the sea bass and didn't really enjoy it. The drinks were great and they have some cocktails that definitely will catch the eye. Overall would definitely recommend.

V

The place is very nice the view and the food were tasteful👌🏼. My only issue was that they need to ask on the reservation if you would like to sit by the window or by the booth. The waiter could've been more aware and attentive. Overall, I do want to go back. Just would like it if they didn't make you feel rushed.

J

The view was unbelievable. The service was ok. The food was good but the oyster Rockefeller was warm at best. The experience was disappointing. Maybe I was expecting too much. Sitting next to us was a table of 4, 2 adults two children. One of the children had his iPad with a cartoon playing at a very loud volume level. That’s not cool at a fine dining restaurant.

This restaurant offers a breathtaking view of Manhattan over the Hudson River, creating a romantic ambiance. They take reservations, but window-side tables are first-come, first-served. We waited patiently for 10-15 minutes, hoping to secure a window-side table, but unfortunately, it wasn’t available. We inquired about the availability of window-side tables again, and the waiter informed us that we could wait another 20 minutes. However, after enduring a long wait, we decided not to pursue it. (We had a relative visiting from another country, and we wanted to show her the view.) My husband and I opted for the Caesar salad and crab cake, which were both delicious. I indulged in the shrimp and lobster carbonara, while my husband chose the sole on fire. Our relative opted for the halibut. After finishing our crab cake, we waited for approximately 20 minutes before our food arrived. Despite the deliciousness of the food, the prices were quite high. To our surprise, there were outside tables available after we finished our dinner. When we inquired about the availability of window-side tables, the staff seemed indifferent and didn’t inform us about the outside tables. It was Friday night, and the restaurant was undoubtedly busy, but it appeared that they didn’t prioritize accommodating our request. To add to our disappointment, they also charge $15.00 for valet parking.

We wanted to celebrate valentine’s day at the chart house for the first time. Didnt have a reservation but called before we go and it’s told to us we can just walk in. After we went there and walked in there was a waiting list and waited for 40 mins. At the downstairs the atmosphere was looking so elegant however guest without reservation was staying upstairs. We were seated at tables in the hallway. It was extremly cold and when we share with a waiter he changed our table. There was a banquet hall and chart house decided to put extra tables and chairs to guest more people. Just imagine in an empty banquet hall there is a couple tables on the window side just for the view (thankfully) and nothing else. No atmosphere as the downstairs. This extra room was also freezing. Throughout the meal, our waists and bodies were so cold that we wrapped our coats around them. When I got to the car at the end of the meal, my feet were still freezing. Waitresses was kind and smiling. After we order as a entree kim chee calamari it served in normal timing and was delicius. After we ordered main course one 9 oz filet mignon (portion was small when compared to 9 oz) and mac nut mahi (mango sticky rice was not sticky but delicius dry rice) food served almost in an hour. Waiting time was so long we started not to feel mood to eat. We paid 130$ to the meal for two person. Overall food was nice but hospitality and atmosphere was not what we expected from the chart house.

This used to be my top restaurant in New Jersey with unbeatable million-dollar views of the city and consistently great food. Unfortunately, the Chart House in Weehawken has gone completely downhill, off to the freeway and right into a semi truck. The place now feels overstaffed with young, disinterested receptionists, and the interior looks downright tired. The furniture is dated and very, very worn, and the floors look crusty — not what you expect from what’s supposed to be a high-end waterfront restaurant. Service was still decent, but our waiter had a heavy accent that made communication a bit difficult. The only thing that hasn’t changed are the stunning NYC skyline views but sadly, that’s where the positives end. The food, which used to be the highlight, has absolutely gone to the crapper. The $16 coconut shrimp appetizer came with only five tiny shrimp buried in a mountain of inedible fried noodles, one of the worst presentations I’ve seen, especially for the price. My seared mahi looked and tasted far from fresh and came in very small portion. The main courses were just okay, but the mashed potatoes, once creamy and flavorful are now dry, bland, and completely unseasoned. It’s honestly sad to see how far this place has fallen. To top it off, 3 out of 4 of us were fighting for the bathroom when we got home. This will be my last visit, a truly disappointing end to what was once one of my favorite dining spots in NJ.
