Great food, relaxing atmosphere. Everything is made fresh and we have come twice in one week because we like it so much. Definitely gonna be in our rotation of restaurants. It's nice and calm, and especially less loud and crowded in the afternoon.
just visiting from out of state and this wonderful cafe came up on an app we use to find safe spaces to go to. We’re always looking for a great small coffee shop. The gentleman that helped us was so incredibly friendly and gave us some great recommendations and let us know of live music happening there later in the day! The breakfast burrito was filling and delicious, so dress and full of veggies. The vegan sandwich was also amazing, it tastes like the veggies were home grown 😍 and the coffee was incredibly balanced along with an extremely refreshing peach mango drink. would 100% come back.
Had lunch today with my friend who lives in West Sac. We hadn't seen each other for quite a while, and we ended up sitting there for 3 hours! I ordered a French dip panini, and it was so yummy! I wish this place was closer to me, I'd visit all the time!! I enjoyed the music that was playing while we sat inside eating our sandwiches and visiting. The staff all seemed very friendly, and we didn't feel rushed to leave, for which we were very thankful.
The man behind the counter was amazing and kind, the food was out of this world I had the keto scramble with a over easy egg added on top my daughter had the banana Nutella crepe both were so delicious.
I’m a local semi driver when I’m not bartending on the weekends. I transport up and down California. Today my load brought me to west Sacramento. I ordered an Oatmilk & Honey Latte🍯 and it was better than expected. As I sat outside to sip the man that made my latte came to me with a cup of honey cold foam he had whipped up and asked if I would like him to add it to my drink and oh my goodness let me tell you just as I didn’t think my latte could get any better my latte went from already amazing to fabulous to my taste. This place definitely knows their coffee. I loved how he came to explain to me that oatmilk and whole milk don’t have the same consistency so the science that goes behind making those beautiful decorative designs in the latte wouldn’t be achieved to its full potential. I was fine with it though because I love my latte with oatmilk and honey. My load took me 7minutes away from this place. It typically takes anywhere from 4-7 hours to be unloaded. I looked up the nearest Starbucks and the closest ones would lead me to have to cross over the Sacramento River or to have to cross the 84 highway.
Super lovely place with great fresh food! We got 2 desserts (loaf slice and cheesecake) and 2 entrees + 1 side for $34, pretty solid! Everything was phenomenal and the service was so friendly
I love coming here! The food and the people are great! I have yet to be disappointed with coming here. I absolutely love the peach mango refresher and the mozzarella sticks. You can't go wrong with their coffee either. 10/10 recommend!
Our first time and we LOVE IT / Nuestra primera vez y nos ENCANTO Super recomendado / Extremely recommended Our omelets and cafes 10/10 *Cafe Omelet & Mexican Spice Cafe *Mediterranean Omelet & Oreo Mocha
My go to breakfast spot for years, they make the best over easy eggs in town! Love the location, love the atmosphere, and great staff! See y'all next weekend!
I had come to this place through a recommendation from my girlfriend and her sister. They have a good selection of food and alcohol. They also do mimosas. I had ordered a breakfast buritto, which wasn't like your typical one, but it was very delicious. The beer was also very good and is made in Sac. I will definitely be coming back to get a bite and do some possible day drinking.

Server Gabby has a great personality, the owner Lenise was on-site and working the back providing great tasting food. . Mimosas did a great job.
The wife and I got at it early, yard, projects, etc. Around 10:30, I realized I was famished. We were near the trusty Golden Arches, but didn't know if they did breakfast AND thought let's go have an impromptu date. So we traveled down to Lenise's, and we're so glad we did. The food was phenomenal, we both had Crepes and Mimosas, I also had Coffee, and with tax and tip, we were around $30. At the Arches, we would've been at $30'ish without Mimosas, and filled with less than sated with OK food and regret. You have to go check out Lenise's.
We LOVE Lenise's! She is amazing & a staple to our community The food and atmosphere are the best!! We love hanging out there & enjoying kareoke nights & all the fun events. West Sac would not be the same without Lenise's!!
So delicious! The food was made perfectly, the coffee was very tasty, and the service was so friendly. I will come back every chance I get when going through Sacramento. Thanks for the great experience!
Stopped by with my family on a bike ride and had a good time. The passion tea was delicious, surprisingly good with no sugar which I rarely drink unsweetened tea. Highly recommend.
I live in West Sacramento and have driven by the cafe many times but have never stopped until today. I did stop once before when it was under different management as the Eagle Cafe. I was disappointed then to find out that there was no savory food; it was more like a typical coffee shop with bagels and muffins. But Lenise's is different. Not only do they have great coffee but also a full breakfast and lunch menu including omelettes, wraps and panini. Everything on the menu is less than $10. The food was great as well as the presentation. I will definitely be back.
Great little restaurant weathering the COVID pandemic storm. The crepes are delicious, the staff seems friendly enough, and they seem to be in full compliance with best practices when I've been in for food. I certainly plan to be here a lot post-pandemic now that I'm in the neighborhood.
Every food and beverage item I have tried at Lenise's Cafe over the last few weeks has been excellent. The service is always good and the staff friendly even when they get busy. It is also a comfortable place to hang out.
Nice family friendly coffee shop cafe. Perfect for visiting with friends or morning breakfast. Homemade made-to-order meals and lots of options, omelettes, pancakes, and pastries. I like that I can order a coffee and a full breakfast here if I choose. So many coffee shops just offer coffee and pastries, or coffee and premade microwavable food. Not Lenise's!
Service_5 Atmosphere_5 Food Quality_4.5 Service_All smiles, courtious, quick to serve. Atmosphere_She's on point, deceptive exterior, i actually avoided the spot because it looked plain, more than pleasantly surprised once inside. I could tell the owner had high quality restraunt chef/management experience, it showed in her set up. Food Qualit_I had a different dish all 5 days of the week, only one sandwhich was not what I prefered, heavy bread, not my thing.
Oh my gosh what are all these haters talking about with their weak reviews?! Check my reviews they're legit I try spots all around Northern California and let me tell you this place is HIGH LEVEL. Give them a try guarantee you will be back for more. This little tiny cafe we spent like $150 today lol
Great local business with great options. Due to the owners of Club Pheasant, WS/Southport has such few options for dining, Lenises Cafe is a diamond in the rough. Highly suggest the breakfast burrito!! French dip panini was also excellant!
I have been coming here for years. I love how they know you by name and your order. Always great service. It is a place where you can hang out and talk. Extremely close to my house, so a definite go to spot for me.
For me the music was loud love the option to sit outside. Love that orders can be customized. This is going to be my go to spot💓 I'm sure. Good bye Starbucks n Dutch Brothers.
Excellent food & atmosphere! I always end up there for lunch; my favorite sandwich is the Mexicali. They also have a wide selection of sandwiches, paninis, crepes; both savory & sweet and breakfast sandwiches, omelets, muffins, pastries, fresh fruit, etc. Of course they have all the coffee drinks you could want and now serve beer, wine & champagne. Lenise has really changed up the ole Eagle Cafe, it's now decorated in a Paris theme. It's warm & inviting. If you haven't tried it, you need to. It's a hidden gem in West Sac!
Lenise & Andre provided a wonderful, delicious spread for my mother’s memorial. Very accommodating. Highly recommend.
This is my favorite place in West Sacramento. It's a quaint cafe with great ambiance and outdoor seating, fun events (obviously scaled back right now), great owners, and a great selection of food and beverages. It's my go-to when I need to work and want a wine or beer to close out the day.
Um, how have I lived nearby and not tried this PHENOMENAL place before?? Ordered a savory breakfast crepe online for pick up, and it was piping hot when I arrived to pick it up, and delicious on top of that. I'll be going back soon.
Great little hidden gem. Fresh sandwich and a smoothie are my go-tos every time I'm in the area. Super friendly staff as well. Always a win here.
Crepes are amazing! And the coffee so good , cute little place to stop and get some small bites , or have a beer .
This is a fantastic cute little cafe in a newer shopping center. Definitely worth a visit.
Went here today for the first time. The man working the register/serving food was very friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable and it was pretty filling for the portions we got.
Lenise's is a wonderful experience. The staff, the music and the menu is very enjoyable. Perfect get away for a peaceful lunch to get your mind off work. The beer and wine selection is awesome and the whole vibe is incredible. I truly love every visit. The friendly faces make the atmosphere unbeatable. I cant stop bragging about the food and care lenise's offers every time we walk in the doors!
My wife and I frequently stop by here for a coffee, but this last Sunday we decided to ride our bikes over for breakfast and it was awesome! Fortunately, they're close to home, but it was so nice I probably would have biked all day for the experience. I recommend you spend some time getting to know this great local business!
This is a great little spot for a quick bite and a coffee. Their cold brew was great, not bitter, not watered down; excellently done. The potato scramble was something else entirely though.. the flavors were amazing and the whole dish was much lighter than I thought it would be. They know what they've got and they're not trying to over do it.. absolutely recommend you stop here.
Update to my previous 5⭐️ review that I left after the first time I went to Lenise’s. I’ve now been a regular for almost 3 years and it’s still so great. Wanted to update bc a couple months ago Lenise added Taco Tuesday and hosts Nora to come make tacos with fresh awesome ingredients every Tuesday! —- Original review: Atmosphere and staff are very friendly and welcoming—very local small-town vibe. Food tastes really good and homemade. We came for a late brunch and got breakfast items like crepes and omelette as well as local beer and (very strong) mimosa—pretty much champagne with a splash of oj, which is fine by me! Bought some delicious baked goods to take home, including banana blueberry bread, pumpkin peach bread, and lemon bars. Happy hour menu looks great too. We’ll definitely be back!
Love it! Delish and superior customer service!! Don't pay attention to a few negative reviews that just happened. Some unethical diners gave low marks because they decided to turn their bogus review into a political burn against the business for supporting local candidates that are incumbents running for City Council. Patrons of this long standing business know better. They are family owned, community supported, ethical owners who provide delicious food, superior customer service, reasonable prices, and always with a smile!!! Go Lenise's!!
Impressive from the moment you walk in. Relaxed, elegant, and well-run
Absolutely love this place! This is my new favorite spot to get coffee, food, and bakery items! I’ve been to a lot of cafes throughout my life and this one definitely takes the cake. I highly suggest them! Friendly staff, very adorable and beautiful place. There’s so much to look it. If I worked there I would be excited to show up for work everyday.
Always an excellent experience here, with friendly service and delicious food. My go-to in the mornings here is the Cafe Omlette, and the kids love the chocolate waffle. Locally roasted beans and well prepared coffee drinks make it hard to pick a favorite. Sunny weekend mornings on the patio with the family (it's a tradition when the out-of-towners come to visit!) and bottomless mimosas are extremely enjoyed.
Lenise’s cafe brings a family feel and a positive community environment. The smiley faces and the wonderful customer service is what brings me back every time. When I go for appetizers and a glass of wine, I get to see my fellow neighbors and friends and exchange a laugh or two. We talk about the city we all love so much and the wonderful charm this city possesses. Lenise & Staff, thank you for the warmth you add to West Sac. Thank you for allowing us all find a place that feels like home. I’ll continue to return as on as you are in business. ❤️
Update 12/5/2018: They ran out of taro drinks so I don't stop by after work anymore. When I had stopped for lunch l, the food is still exceptional. Definitely a great place for good eating. Original review: I love their taro blended drink. The environment is very chill and clean. The breakfast menu is simple but sooo delicious. I would definitely recommend anyone lookinh for a yummy breakfast cafe.
Had the Monte Cristo Crepe and it was outstanding. The perfect balance... not too sweet, not too cheesey, high quality turkey and ham steak, and much lighter with the crepe. Perfection! Nice outdoor seating where you can enjoy breakfast or lunch with a Mimosa. Our first time was today, and we'll definitely be back.
Awesome. More of take on a European cafe. Great food, coffee, teas, beer and wine. Service is outstanding, prices lower than the boutique coffee shops. Clean, roomy and free wifi. Food is made to order ... not from a box. If your looking to treat yourself with coffee and crepes or breakfast with mimosa this is the place.
Local Cafe. Food fresh. A variety of drinks. Bottomless Mimosas are perfect as your enjoying outdoor seating . Crepes are my favorite and they also make a delicious pesto turkey breakfast sandwich. Great customer service. I always like to drink my coffee from a wide mug and saucer there.
My dog and I enjoy going here for an occasional breakfast sandwich and coffees. Staff are very nice.
Lenise's is a wonderful neighborhood café. The coffee is always great. It's a very relaxed atmosphere with tables inside and out. The staff are always super-friendly. I've never ordered anything there I didn't like.
Appreciate that this café is kid friendly ❤️! The gentleman who helped us with our order was very patient..friendly and gave us some awesome recommendations on the menue! Food was delicious 😋 and service was excellent! First time visiting and won't be our last! 🤗👍🏽👍🏽🤙🏾🤙🏾
Great food, very friendly staff, absolutely love the iced white mocha, highly recommend to anyone looking for a cute relaxing cafe spot.
I''m so glad I found this little gem in West Sac, the food hands down was 11 out of the 10! Everything was sooo flavorful! From the food to the coffee. Lenise is so kind, very welcoming and an excellent cook! My new favorite spot on this side of town & I highly recommended !
Gotta love a good lunch place with outdoor seating and live music. That's what caught my attention about this delicious spot. Located in a fairly advantageous location, its presence grabs your attention as you drive past it in either location. I went there to meet some friends for a little musical performance. I got the turkey wrap with a smoothie and both were absolutely fantastic. It's always good to have tasty food with good music. I recommend this joint to any locals looking for a chill spot or travellers wanting to see a slice of West Sacramento. This is it.
In an out of the way pocket sits this little cafe. Service was warm and friendly and they have a solid menu. I gave this place a 5 star rating for the crepe my wife got. My chipotle chicken sandwich was good but her veggie breakfast crepe was better (and massive). I also had a brown sugar mocha which more than han satisfied my sweet tooth. Unexpected gem!
Small mom and pop cafe. My wife and I always stop here whenever we're going to Dave's pumpkin patch to pick up a watermelon. She loves their banana spice chai, it is phenomenal. I've tried a few things from them everything is always been great.
Great place; owner and staff are the best ever! Everything I had was great! Breakfast! Lunch! Staff has new tea with mango and other goodies that is awesome.
Writing this review as i am walking out the door. Jeff was extremely welcoming and friendly. He recommended the Panini French Dip and it was phenomenal! Atmosphere is great. i'll be visiting again soon!
An absolutely amazing spot for a delicious meal. The staff are incredibly friendly and the food is reasonably priced and great portions. I love the breakfast crepes the most
Has gotten much better recently. Had really long waits on a past visit. But great service and food on a more recent visit. Friendly staff and good drink combinations.
The atmosphere was calming and the music was excellent. The food was marvelous.
Lenise's is my go to for a coffee catch up with friends. Their patio is the perfect spot to enjoy the weather, the food and beverages and friends. The food and treats are always delicious. And you can never go wrong with coffee or wine!
Absolutely loved it. The attention to detail and service were amazing
Lenise's is a cafe that represents the heart and soul of a city. It provides a space that brings a community together over good drinks, food, and company. Outstanding ownership, amazing service, great atmosphere.
Cute little privately owned Cafe. Right here in West Sacramento. There are not very many restaurants in West Sacramento Southport. We really try to support our local businesses. We don't want them to go away.
First time trying ..so many choices. Look forward to trying more menu items. Great coffee excellent service, warm inviting atmosphere✨
Food great great atmosphere love the vide they have a lot on the menu an alot of healthy options breakfast pastries an alot more it's in west sac 5 to 10 minutes away from downtown got check it out
This place was near where we were staying so tried it out for breakfast. Delicious food and good price. Staff is friendly. Went back again the next morning.

Our first time there. This place is a bit different and we weren't used to how they do things. For me there were a bit too many olives in my Greek omlette, but I like the Greek style olives and I enjoyed it. My Iced Mexican coffee was a bit on the sweet side, but now I know you can ask for less of the chocolate flavoring that makes it so sweet. All in all a decent place with a friendly attentive staff.
It's a cute little cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the Classic Belgian Waffle. I actually really enjoyed it. Normally, I'm not a huge fan of sweet foods but this was delicious. They have a self serve water station here. And staff is nice.

First timer! Very friendly staff. Good Breakfast Crepe... could have used some spices. Excellent Hot Chocolate. 🔥 Pit. Would try again!
A small, quaint breakfast spot. A cafe in the truest sense of the word. The atmosphere was great, playing tasteful music, with good decorations. They have a lot of options in terms of food *and* beverages, not common in a lot Sacramento cafes. They even have a happy hour! I ordered a Turkey Panini and it was made just right! Crispy, but not dry, and filling too! I split one with a friend, and it was good in taste and portion. The prices could be a little better, so I wouldn't spend every morning here, but definitely a worthwhile treat.
The service staff was very pleasant and patient. Everyone at the table enjoyed their dish with no complaints. The evening that we were there wasn't busy so it was a great choice to get a quick bite.
Very nice outdoor seating in the shade. Perfect morning to meet my old friend. We both had breakfast. I had a breakfast burrito and it was tasty not as great as the one I had at Treehouse Cafe. I like Lenise she's always friendly and warm to chat with. Glad she is part of our community.
No one knew this place was here before Lenise took it over, now it's becoming iconic of the neighborhood. Lots of fun events, yummy food and coffee, great place to meet up with people or hunker down for some focused writing. My only reservation is that the smoke from the grill isn't well ventilated.
Cute place. We had a simple veggie omelette and bacon and eggs - food was good. Mexican spiced latte w/ almond milk was amazing! Can't wait to go back for that!
This is only a lunch spot. I rated service 3 stars, but that's because it is pretty much self-serve. They will bring the main order to your table tho. Outside seating is much better ambience, so I recommend going earlier in the day or during non-summer months.
Staff was nice. My wife said "three stars". Her coffee was cold which was a surprise. She couldn't tell if her Mediterranean Omelet had fish or chicken in it because the chicken had the consistency of fish. My ham and cheese omelet was OK. A bit different from what I'm used to. Got sour dough bread toasted but with no butter. Also a bit strange. Atmosphere was good. Other dishes might be better. This was our experience.

Food was just ok. I had the breakfast burrito and the cheese tasted like processed cheese so that was good and the bacon tasted like it came out of a package cooked. But the redeeming quality was the food was nice and hot and a good size
I've driven past this place a number of times, so decided to pop in this morning for a bite. It's more of a deli than a café, so you've got your pre-made sandwiches, some pastries, and smoothies for sale. They also have a breakfast and lunch menu that is surprisingly extensive. But, the expression "too many cooks in the kitchen" comes to mind. It's a small prep space - I saw a panini press and a microwave. Maybe they have a griddle back there somewhere. In any event, a place that is so heavily microwave reliant is already having to make up for lost ground. Topping that off, I saw no fewer than four people scrambling around each other, plating food at a glacial pace. I had the unremarkable Café panini. It was okay. Nothing special. My kids each had a sandwich. One had a breakfast bagel (prepared in the microwave); the other had a cold turkey sandwich. Standard fare. Lastly, my wife had the Italian omelette, which she enjoyed. In the end, it wasn't a bad dining experience. I was simply not presented with anything that would compel me to drive to the outskirts of West Sac to return.
Staff was nice, but a lot of tables needed to be cleaned and everything seemed a little disoriented and not very clean. They didn't look short staffed, but maybe they were? It took a long time to get our food, we ordered 3 sandwiches and a kids egg burrito, and we waited about 40 minutes. The food tasted pretty good.
Place doesn’t have a kitchen. They have every cooking utility known (insta pot, Panini grill, crepes griddle and so on. So the play is smoked out on cooking fumes. Hard to breath and now i just realized no smoke alarm because it would’ve gone off and never stopped. I sincerely appreciate the effort but probably wont go back till summer and sit outside. They need a hood range!
Been coming here since this cute cafe opened in West Sacramento. They have wonderful crepes. However, today, when I got my chicken and chorizo crepe home, there was a small gray/white hair on top of my crepe which grossed me out. I scooped it off and ate part of the crepe and discarded the rest. I suggest that employees preparing food should wear hair nets to avoid hair falling onto food in the future.
So. This review is based on a take out order on 11-9. Ordered the b I rger deluxe. Nope. See picture. Owners should be ashamed sending out food like this.

I've been here 3 times in the past couple years, and each time I was disappointed. Once I got breakfast which included paper-thin bacon that looked microwaved and scrambled eggs that looked and felt like they were just scooped from a lukewarm chafing dish in a hospital cafeteria. However, the price I paid was similar to what you would expect for a higher-quality breakfast. Another time I got a sandwich and it was ok, but it was again not worth the price. It reminded me of a sandwich that a impatient parent might hastily throw together for a child who they imagine won't know any better. The last time I went there, I ordered a large coffee (20 oz). It was self-serve, from a pump carafe, and $4.50! That was the last straw. Why this place thinks they can charge way too much for sub-par food and coffee is beyond me, but at this point it feels like an insult.
Grain of salt, I think this place might be good if you eat there. We got to-go food that was ready 15 minutes after the pick up window. My mom’s burger was wrecked (she left a review), I got a grilled cheese sandwich, which was somehow rubbery and burned past being edible. I got one bite. Then I got charcoal (I was driving and didn’t get to see what I was biting into). My husband’s burritos was edible. My daughter got pancakes she couldn’t eat but we chalked it up to the idea that to-go pancakes are probably a poor choice. Like I said, the food for people eating there looked good. Our was mostly inedible.

I’m embarrassed to admit I waited 20 minutes for an iced coffee. I’m more embarrassed I actually left with this when I ordered an iced caramel macchiato, but I didn’t want to have to wait another 20 minutes for them to remake it. Also, I wouldn’t be leaving this review if I had received a simple apology for the wait.
I didn't care for this place at all. Went in read the menu, and no one had come out from the back. It was dark and smoky in there. I did not like the meat on my turkey sandwich, none of the pastries had dates on them. My half salad didn't have cheese on it, maybe a 1/2 cup of spinach and 6 huge pieces of chicken. For what I spent, soup, 1/2 salad, sandwich, cookie and a mimosa. It was 55 with tip. I could have gone to the grocery store and bought all the supplies and had sandwiches for a week. I paid for convenience and wasn't happy, the mimosa was good, salad would have been better had the proportions been right. Maybe they have good food and I choose wrong...
Some friends and I decided to go for Taco Tuesday. But the person that makes the tacos didn't show up so they didn't have it. Which wouldn't be so bad but we decided to walk there from my friends. 6 miles round trip. But that was our bad. And then to realize to go anywhere else was a hell of a hike. So we ate sandwiches there. Om my. Bad idea. All three of us agree. If your going to Lenise's, go for the coffee NOT the food.
Discrimination Warning to Customers: I wanted to share feedback on my last two visits to Lenise's Cafe in West Sacramento. My boyfriend and I placed the same order both times (1-coffee, 1-crepe, and 1-omelette) but both times noticed that others who ordered after us were served and finished before we received ours. I had to ask for my order and watch it being prepared to get it at all. Wait time 1 hour+. While we dismissed it as a fluke the first time, experiencing it twice feels like a pattern. I hope this feedback helps improve service and ensures all customers are treated fairly. I, unfortunately, won't be returning back for business. Thank you.
I really, really wanted to like this place because I would’ve loved to support a local business but…I can’t. I’ve come in three times, each time hoping I’ll be proven wrong but the food just isn’t good. They don’t seem to have a kitchen so I’m not exactly sure how they’re preparing their food. The food is ready way too quickly to be fresh. The quality of the food is not good and neither are the flavors. The staff has always been polite when I’ve gone so there is that. This last time marks my last visit. This time I opted to try the tri tip mac and cheese and wow it was a nightmare. The meat was gross and somehow even the mac and cheese (the easiest thing to make) was an immense disappointment. It tasted gluey and like it had come from a box. I would’ve been better off going to Nugget and having their mac and cheese. Not sure how they have such a high star rating, to be honest.
Food could've been made by my niece. Cheese quesadia hardly any cheese. Ham sliders stay at home toast some bread and put 1 slice of ham on it. The Chilli was probably store bought but probably the best tasting dish. And lastly when did a wrap become burritos? I ordered a chicken Ceasar wrap and it was hotter than all the other food. Spending over 60$ for this is crazy
