Excellent place to be every Friday and Saturdays the staff is very welcoming and serves you up the best drinks in the bar... So if you ever in town just check in and have a great time.
This place is mine and my wifes place to go unwind on the weekends the staff are very polite and cool people. The music for the most part is ok. They just need to get more people to come. D.j. isnt open to requests, at least not from me or my wife. Maybe try out some new d.js but sage is the spot to go dance local.
I went last night to see La Sonora Dinamita, and it was lit before, during and after they played. The staff is super friendly and nice which is rare for a club for even the bouncer to be nice. So I'll most definitely be coming back for more concretes. Best valintines day ever!!!
Very happy to find a place like this one with good music from house music to oldies and many more ...yesterday we had a blast at the house partys_at_the_90s ... .very recommend it 👌..keep bringing these events...bottle service not to expensive like other places..and great service
Held an event with 80+ attendees. From beginning to end Albert assisted with all the details and the event was a success. Food was great, service was good in private room very accommodating with hardly any restrictions for decor. Recommend for private events.
Was here for my sister's 40th birthday, but was awesome. The sandwiches were delicious, soft bread, and the right amount of mayo and mustard. The chicken sticks were very tasty, fruits were fresh, everything was delicious.
Had a good time went with my mom and sister's the food was good they had pizza, tacos and fries and I had a I think it was ahi tuna with onions avocado sesame oil jalapenos with a little seaweed salad and wontons it was very good. They had happy hour for the pizza half price
Place was fun, music was good and staff was awesome. The bouncer Ryan helped me find my phone and was very helpful. Would definitely go back again.
Was working here and didn't have w chance to eat but 5 stars for the owner and staff! They were very giving, attentive and funny as all get out! Really had a great time with them
Went to the Fooz Fighters/Doin Time show Friday night and not one negative thing the whole night. The bands rocked, the food and service were excellent and the place is really cool inside. We bought a small seating area off to the side of the stage and had a great time. We’ll be back soon! Thanks for a great time!
We searched several places for a happy hour event for 20 + my friend Miguel recommended Sage. Albert the manager was very accommodating . I thought it it would cost to much for a room and 20+ but the room is free and the drinks and appetizers we amazing and reasonable price We work in a very stressful environment and wanted to get together for stress relief . I had originally had set up for 20 in a private room , but when more friends arrived the team at sage came in and set up a table and more chairs . Everyone had a great time and loved the place. The waitress and bar tender were very attentive . I recommend this place and the team would like to come back here as well. Great job Sage.
I went to Brea,CA for a comedy show; my brother and I stayed in Hacienda Heights and wanted to watch the first game of the World Series at a local bar. I searched for an hour before coming across Sage Lounge. The website made it sound really cool; offering music, DJ, comedy, karaoke, and trivia. I thought “let’s give it a try”. This is a Latino owned business and I just knew I had to support them. We went in at 4:30 and by 7pm the lounge was poppin. If I had to describe this place it would be “family” because everyone knew each other and if they didn’t, by the end of the night they did. I would definitely go back and the food was FUEGO 🔥
It was a great visit, bartender was very nice and attentive, his drinks were the best margaritas were made to perfection, the music was great plus an open mike nite, great experience
Comfortable, eclectic, lots of character and characters! Artfully designed, way cozy, with many colorful touches, warm and friendly with relaxing music and a cool breeze!! Outdoor/indoor spaces, diverse, wonderful service and great drinks!! Highly recommended visit! David and Noel are stellar, complementary hosts who make their home your home💎💫🎶💯
It was my first time going on Saturday 11th. I enjoyed it very much very pleasant had a great time drinks are a good price I just wish they played a little more hip hop every now and then hip hop pumps us up but over all it was 👍 good.
Such a great place to celebrate your birthday. The staff was amazing. Delicious food, drinks.
Actually, I do have to give credit when it's due... I had my doubts about this place, but the manager took his time & found me after I lost my ID & personality handed it to me. This place has been pretty good to me this year...They booked an awesome Depeche Mode cover band, plus hip-hop & top 40 in the other room. Some nights are different crowds for different nights... They also one of the few places that host Plus-Size events (for beautiful girls who have curves)... It's about time for girls w/curves can rock out (They're definitely some hotties there) & you can find them every 1st Fridays of the month. (Only complaint is... not to just specialize hip-hop/rap w/ curves; better music will attract a wider variety of people with a mix of 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s disco/funk/new wave/throwbacks/house music) Inside the main dance room is very comfy plush/vip. Drink prices are reasonable. When nights that have low - medium turn out... Very spacious & It's definitely just right. When nights of high volume, it can get a bit too rowdy/rough & a little uncomfortable with the type of crowd. Cool thing is everyone kinda congregates at the taco truck 🚚 after at the parking lot next... So make time to get your game & fame afterwards. 😉
UPDATE!!! This a favorite neighborhood hangout! Nothing european about it. Its a full service restaurant, bar, and nightclub on weekends. Great beer and pizza specials for Happy Hour Tues -Friday. Name talent on select club nights, comedy shows and live telecasts of major sport events. I've always enjoyed attentive staff and great food and drink.
Fun Nightlife. Highly recommended on the weekends. Drinks are fantastic. Follow them on IG so you're up to date on weekend events. 🇺🇸👍🏼
On 12.30.23, had a wedding reception here. Albert and his staff were so kind, amazing, and were so helpful to make everything and everyone feel absolutely comfortable. 💯 Our bartender, she had a great smile and a joyful heart and even went beyond to help the bride take stuff out of her into the restaurant AND encouraging the happy couple to have their first wedding dance! (Great job). .Moises and his other server were also wonderful. Definitely a place to go for any event celebration. See you again Sage for our next event. Thanks Albert!
We had fun dancing and the drinks were really good. I wish there would more areas where one can place the drinks close to the dance floor without having to get bottle service.
This place is awesome services.Excellent.The staff is friendly
Love Sage, great atmosphere and people!! Tried the chicken pozole and wow 🤩very good! The bartender Moi was so friendly and made my drinks just the way I like. Great experience, would recommend to others.
First time checking this spot out. They had the UFC 299 on. So we got some drinks and snacks and watched the fights. Good drinks and a nice vibe. We’ll be back for sure!
Sage has great fun with a great atmosphere and happy hour on Fridays 3:30-7pm are GREAT !! Bar tender is AMAZING!!! Make sure Moe makes your drink/drinks but all bar tenders are just as good . check out their IG and see the many drinks they have. The food is delicious!!! Djs are great after 9pm it’s a great place to get your boogie on !! You can dress up or keep it cute casual. They have TV watch all games and fights, as well as other events during week on certain days for more fun.
The food is very good. I like their happy hour specials all the pizzas are half price. They also serve big bowls of fries that we share as appetizers. They are yummy 😋 too. We've tried different meals and they have all been very good, from pork belly tacos, fish, salads etc. Ricardo makes you feel very welcomed.
I visited Sage this past weekend, as I do whenever I have a chance to go and enjoy their delicious drinks and/or happy hour during the week. I wanted to especially acknowledge Moises, the bartender who made my delicious drinks this past Saturday. I am so thankful to him for going above and beyond to make my visit even more fun and enjoyable. He is always awesome, along with the rest of the staff. I look forward to being at Sage again soon.
We came here for a comedy show that was only 20 per person. I think it's very cheap. They sell food and steins inside.
Friend celebrated her 60th Birthday at venue to the left of restaurant, food was great. Good times with friends.
We had a great time here. Live band on Friday and a dj after. Ashley is the person to see here. Best bartender
Amazing place to dance and to have fun with friends and loved ones, so much fun indeed
This place is great for dancing, the dj is always playing good music. Food and drinks are also pretty good. Oh and don't forget the happy hour. 👍👍
It was our first time at Sage, and we had such a great experience! The $4 happy hour drinks were a steal, and the $25 Sage platter was perfect for sharing -- wings, fries, onion rings, poppers, and chicken tenders, all fresh and tasty. Parking was super easy around the corner, and the DJ kept the energy up all night. Big shoutout to Stephie for her amazing service -- she was friendly, attentive, and made our first visit feel extra special. We'll definitely be back!
My first time here was during one of their Love Island Season 7 nights, and it did not disappoint! It was definitely busy, but totally worth it. They had themed photo ops, specialty cocktails that matched the show, and even exclusive merch that made you feel part of the whole Love Island vibe. Overall, such a fun and lively spot for watch parties, recommend checking it out when they host special events like this!
A good time was had by all. Great energy, amazing customer service.
Stopped in 10:30 on a Friday night to watch some live music restaurant was still open and the other side had a DJ playing and where I was live bands so I didn't get no food just got drinks it would have got five stars if it was just a little bit updated it's kind of dated or maybe a good throw cleaning great part dinner made really good drinks I would return
A cool venue to hang out. Brought my GF as she Liked to dance so we enjoyed drinks and dancing. Had a mix of old school and new school music. Drinks were good to so that's always a plus..
I came here for my cousins live podcast. Luckily it was happy hour which meant $3 wine and we'll and half off all pizzas. Pizza was great! Stayed after to watch some of the Lakers game. I liked it because of all the tv's and they put the sound on for the game!
Didn't get any food but the drinks were awesome
Cool spot in Whittier with good parking lots next to and in back of location. Reasonably priced drinks, bar tenders are pretty friendly, and the over all is chill (dependent on the event). I've been here a couple times and had a good time. Best bang for your buck is the bottle service, includes admission, a bottle, and seats. I would say the sound system needs a bit of tweaking. I've seen bands play here and the sound isn't as good as it should be.
Great time dancing to my favorite music, the crowd and staff were very friendly and respectful. I will definitely keep coming back to this place with my wife and friends.
Sage is a nice and good sized nightclub which has the means to have a great time at, but I have found that it is give or take. Last Friday when I was there, I will say I had a blast and celebrating my friend's birthday there proved to be a good idea, especially because of the service we experienced from the staff. We had a really good deal for a VIP section with bottle service, and I can easily say it was well worth it. However, when I have gone other times without bottle service, my opinion may differ because the crowd is not my usual crowd. Still, the fact that there are two different dance floors with diverse music, there are options. Entrance to the club is free before 10pm and free till 10:30 if you are on a guestlist.
Came to see a comedy show (private event) cool spot with some decent drinks. The food was ok but not great. I would definitely come back for the drinks.
This place is so much more than just a sports bar that I thought it was. They have multiple rooms, able to host many events at the same time. We attended a comedy fundraiser, held in the room off to the left upon entering. Nice room with own bar. Service was great. Food is solid bang for your buck with big portions. I ordered sweet potato fries and a salad with chicken. The chicken was diced small and very dry. Everything else was decent.
Came here for their Love Island Watch Party Night! Was super packed but the waitress that was manning our section (back room w circle tables) was doing a great job balancing everything! Food was decent and is probably super nice when not crazy packed. Would come again on a normal day!
Had our company Xmas 🎄 party there. Good was good. Left before the after party started. The music was popping
I didn't eat at Sage. My friends and I went clubbing. I was packed on the bar side on the restaurant part their was a private event. The drinks were good and the price was not bad. It was a good vibe. Everyone was dressy or semi dressy casual. We had a great time.
We celebrated our daughters 25th bday here with about 25 people. We all enjoyed the music, drinks, and dancing. Our whole party really had a great time. We reserved booths, they let us bring our bday dessert and we ordered bottle service.
Whittier local here. Walked to Sage for the Canelo fight. Walking in, no one cared to look at our Eventbrite tickets & was very confused about seating arrangements, as online stated it was a 1st come, 1st serve seating, but 95% of the establishment seating had names on tables w/reserved signs. Proceeding to find a table, round table in the 2nd room, looks like. Our lovely waitress took our drink order & food. Wings 2/10 over fried & lacked taste Nachos w/steak added 5/10 no balance /ratio to steak added, dry nacho chips in between on 1 whole side. Fries 10/10 seasoned well & crisp to perfection!
Sage club was my first an last time attending. food wasn't worth it, dance floors were too small, even with two floors available. had too many people at once. Drinks were at reasonable price, but the staff were friendly.
This is the best place to go for Dallas Cowboys games no doubt . Every one is drinking dancing and just having fun . But when it turns into a night club this place is too pack can't even walk . Ordering a drink from bar place is horrible . Wait is 10 to 20 minutes . It gets very hot need AC
Good music n drinks, but under staffed, horrible wait to get drinks. Got the nachos and they were cold, with minimal meat and was precooked and served cold...Drinks are pricey and soso
Came here once just for cocktails and chips when restaurants opened in 2020 and had no issues. Came here again (March 2021) and it was just a bad day...the service was lacking. I ordered a burger and it was good. My friend got nachos and did her best to make them vegan but they just looked really sad and underwhelming. Ordered guacamole but they ran out so they were making some more. Unfortunately, it never got to us because we finished eating before they even finished. We didn't get napkins or silverware until after we were already served our food and that's only because we asked. I was initially served the wrong food. I'd go again but not on a Saturday night.
Not very organized with events, and no communication
Cool place to hang out and dance. Music was ok not the greatest but it still ok. Food was good could be better for the price. The lounge/dance area could us a renovation I felt like I was in a club in tj back in the 90s . The line to get a drink was long only 2 bartenders working and of course drink were overpriced. They could also use more servers In the lounge. All in all I would go again but eat somewhere else beforehand.
Due to Covid seating was outdoors. The Table was sticky. We asked them to clean and it was still sticky. The food was well presented and was fairly delicious. I only tried the poke salad and seasoned fries. I would come back again and try something else just to get a fair sense of the food quality and taste. The water was brought to us in a vase but it didn't look that clean. I'm giving 3 stars mostly due to cleanliness.
I'm only rating it okay because, I went there for a concert which they have in a separate room from where they have a DJ in another room, and we paid money to see the concert and they wouldn't even close the door to the separate concert room, so all the DJ thumping noise was coming in, even the band was a little distracted trying to play I don't understand why they charge a fee to go in the room which anyone could go in and see the band. I hope the performing band complained, they deserved better consideration.
Been here once at night and it was INTERESTING. The crowd was really mixed age wise. The songs were pretty good. The bar is a hit or miss. First drink was nothing but sugar and my last drink was more jack than coke and ice. Bathroom line is a nightmare, but that doesnt surprise me.
love it here!! 2 dance floors and both have good music. bar tenders are so friendly....you never see that at other clubs.... drink $ are pretty reasonable compared to other clubs in this area!!
First time here. Atmosphere was nice the bar was nice. But the band that played that night was 100 proof. They got the pit started and the lease singer rode the pile kicking my uncle's friend in the face and my fiance's was punched in the face. Now these 2 women are 5'3 and little. Other than that the place and employees were cool
I went to Sage on a Thursday night for their Lotería night, but ended up staying for their happy hour, which is pretty decent and is on Wednesday - Friday from 3pm-7pm. I had a margarita and a vegetarian pizza, and honestly, it was surprisingly good. The pizza crust was delicious, and I loved the fresh jalapeños on the veggie pizza. The staff was friendly as well and made sure I had everything I needed. Unfortunately, Lotería night was incorrectly advertised on their website and on Eventbrite to reserve your spot. The October Lotería night was advertised as beginning at 6 pm, which was way off (it still states 6 pm for future loteria nights). 1. They're hosted by a third party (@loterianights on IG), 2. Start time isn't until 7 or 7:30 depending on Dodger games, which would make it start way later. I wasn't expecting that. I understand Sage might want to have people enjoy Happy Hour, but I'd rather have them advertise correctly and let me make the decision. I ended leaving before Loteria but had a nice happy hour hangout with my friends.
I was not impressed with anything. The pizza was pretty bad. Service was slow, every time I went to the bar, there was nobody there... had to go call into the back stock room or something to find someone. I was not there for clubbing, so I don't know how that is. I have been to some ghetto places and this didn't look like it would be too bad.
The food was very good i had the bbq bacon burger with onion rings and a cranberry juice.but theres only seating if u buy a bottle of vodka or tequila staning only for club side . Our waitress was sabrina very cute very nice very good at her job .
Good décor and a good sound system that did justice to the two live bands that we saw. Drinks were generous and were average priced. Downside, no bottled water, just cups from the tap/soda gun yuck. The biggest drawback, it was HOTTTTTTTT!!!!!! With all of the peopled crowded in to see the two live bands that performed it created an unsafe situation. We left 3/4 way through the 2nd act. Granted it was late July but do something about the circulation and upgrade your venue and the conditions. This alone will likely see us not coming back to this venue unless it is someone we absolutely have to see and it is mid-winter.
I recently went to Sage for the first time. The Facebook event said $10 tickets. At the door me and my friend had to pay $20 each to get in. No notice on FB of a different cover charge at the door. The event advertised a Mana Tribute Band, No sign of the band. My friend had a good time. But I was disappointed.
Dinner and Sonora Dinamita concert. The place is filthy. The couches look like they have been in a flood. They show serious water damage signs. The place smells like mouse droppings. Very dirty smelling. The restrooms had no paper towels at all. They have blow dryers that serve to spread bacteria faster. The restrooms didn't get checked at all throughout the entire time I was there. I was very disappointed because their prices indicate that it was a bit classy at least.
Good music for people 45 and over, but the place could use some "love." Nice decor, paint, new floors, plants, more tables and more seating would help. Lastly, they charge $10 cash only at door which is a little mysterious.
Went to the sonora dinamita show last night, place was over crowded, dance floor was tight, the space to dance was tight and people of course bump into each other, at one point my husband bumped into a girl next to the stage, she made a big deal and we got kicked out. Security didn't even bother to see what had happened. Keep in mind wenhad bottle service and the girl making a big deal was in between the rope where separates the bottle service and the dance floor. As if gettinf kicked out wasn't enough, the guard got my husband on a choke hold which was uncalled for.
Horrible there.. My friend had a bday party there and they promised front seating and she ended up in the back. Then they didn't tell her it was comedy night for a baseball team with two other events going on.. Not cool.. Music was ok drinks way to expensive and not real Jack Daniels F this place never again horrible comedy btw🙊🙉🙈
I would give no stars if I could , this place was our last resort to see the fight and the place was so bad ,the set up was awful the service was horrible. I wanted to order a pizza and each time the waiter would say you need to order from the bartender when I was finally able to get his attention an hour later he said the kitchen was closed .I will never go to this place for any events again. They also need security outside the place ,we were confronted outside the place from girls trying to start trouble.it was an awful experience . I would not recommend this place to anyone
My girls and I went for ladies night and left early because the DJ was horrible. Yes, the bottle service is inexpensive but you get what you pay for. We had to ask 3 times before finally following the guy who was sitting people at their tables which we had already paid for in advance. It took about another 20 minutes for a waitress to bring us are bottle service and then asked to charge my card. There is no organization for those who do Reserve VIP. The guy who was sitting everyone look like he was on a good one and when we were leaving he asked us not to leave because they were going to switch the DJ out. Probably will not return.
Customer service is the worst!! You can never speak to a representative it sends you straight to an answering machine . Not to mention the girls that work the door charge $20.00 per person. If you go online it specifically says $10.00 before 10pm. Please be aware of the theives running that club. I recommend FLASBACKZ much better service, music and atmosphere.
Never going back. Came for their 90s House Party event Saturday 6/18/22 for a pre celebration for Father's day, they wouldn't give any seating, and I'm disabled and can't stand for lengthy times, asked the hostess for seating being disabled and she said no, the bartender said we have to buy Grey Goose for $175 or a bottle of tequila for $220 to get seating. Mind you we purchased 4 beers and planned to stay most of the night. The staff overall was very rude, arrogant and inconsiderate. Second time in a row that the crowd was very hostile and not a friendly environment. I would suggest they work on their hospitality like even the most recent TV show that filmed and reviewed them said. Not even air time can make the owner and staff change, disappointing. I'm also an active foodie and drinks enthusiast in Uptown Whittier and several cities, and hands down Sage is the worst experience. Side note, leaving a comment or DM about the situation trying to communicate your situation will get your account blocked like they did me.
My family spent a good deal of money reserving the restaurant for my brother in law’s retirement party From beginning to end the staff was rude the cocktails were watered down the food was second rate and my date and I were forced to sit where the hostess demanded that we sit. I will never ever go back to this place and I suggest you never do either. There was one bartender who tried to make up for what was happening but couldn’t keep up. When I went to my car to get my brother in laws gift they tried to charge me to come back in insisting that there was no party there that night. Hopeless
With the amount of space and location this place had potential. We visited for the first time tonight and were very disappointed. Drinks with no detectable alcohol. Miscommunication (social media vs phone vs door) about band start time and door cost, then the area where the bands performed smelled so strongly like a urinal we looked around and saw various wet spots which we assumed were urine because the smell was sooo potent. The doors to this area had JUST opened so?? The band we went to see had still not started when we left at close to midnight.
We bought tickets to an event in advance in a group of ten people. When we arrived we were not informed that we could only occupy a table and order anything or sit any where . Unless we purchased alcohol by the bottle. They had some one enforcing this policy. That clearly was high on drugs, very rude. Thru out the night they continued admitting people into the building till it was standing room only. The food we ordered was very over priced and poorly prepared. We ended having to leave before the entertainment performed. As we in became fearful for our safety. If you care to be mistreated and over charged this is the place for you
PROS: good servers, lounge atmosphere, free parking and decent domestic and imported beer selection (although, the large beers are served in a plastic cup) CONS: $6 for 6 "beer battered" onion rings (not even as good as ones you'd get from your average burger joint), not crunchy, nor tasty. $1 each, smh. I even asked the server if he had dropped some on he way to the table. Don't order these, ain't no beer in this batter. If so, it was probably Bud Light, lol. $12 for 12 wings (they have a lot of flavors, but they taste like they were from a frozen bag from Walmart, actually a frozen Walmart bag is probably better than these), the only upside was that the habanero sauce was super spicy, almost too spicy (but I like some sting with my wings, so I enjoyed that part) Who wants to pay $9 for an imported beer in a plastic cup, maybe at Dodger stadium, but this is supposed to be a club/restaurant. They need to invest in some large glass mugs, or scooters, anything is better than serving $9 beers in plastic cups, it's tacky and warms the beer too quickly. The food was overpriced. I don't mind spending an extra buck on a good meal, but I won't be dining here again, it just wasn't worth it. Don't charge people for hand made food and serve them frozen dishes. You'll get better food and more bang for your buck across the street at Golden Ox, that's for sure.
My friends and I spend over $150 for a VIP table, which we got. After 9pm, we never seen any waitress, waiter, or anyone that usually serves people at the VIP tables. We had other people, that weren't with our party, sitting at our VIP and nothing by staff was done. Unless you need the owner, waiters, servers, or bartender, you had to wait excessive time for a drink. Even after I mentioned that I was my parties designated driver, I spent about an hour trying to get a Coke. Actually, a ladies saw me starting at the bar for that amount of time, that she got me the drink, Even though I was at the bar about 20 minutes before her. This place has poor air circulation, it reeked of bad sweat, drunken breath and who knows what was on their floors. So unless you don't mind being in an environment that reeks of sweat, drunken breath, and unable to breathe well, pay for VIP and not be treated as such, and most importantly wait excessive amount of time just to get a drink, then this is you place. I normally don't write bad reviews, but today was the worst night at such a place. However, the bands were great. It was just the horrible planning of this function. Hope this is useful because I will not be going back and I will definitely will not be recommending this place.
I went yesterday to watch Broncos game. Very disappointed we ordered seasoning fries, they were not cook well, NO SEASONING at all. Amd my first beer had a blonde hair. 😝
One of the worst experiences. Servers are very lazy. I asked the bartender to send my waitress over. But she seemed like she didn't want to work and was bothered by having to do her job. She was to busy on her phone. Everytime I tried to ask another server about mine, they would say this is not my section. Will never be back at this place.
This place is awful, from the service, to the music itself. I approached a bartender with a party of 4, shirt guy, Whiskey white shirt and tells me the bar is closed! It's 10 pm and he sends me to the other bar, there we were ignored by the lady bartender the she skip us as according to her, there was a guy that was big spender and big Tipper, it's bad to profile people, you never know, finally after 20 mins a dude bartender gets our drinks, come back to the table and see the same short dude that send us away having a full bar, and serving drinks to people. What tha heck!! Do not come here, I made a big mistake coming here instead of staying in LA, I don't live here, I don't frequent Whittier, and whit this service I can tell why this place is half empty on a Saturday night! Even the locals advice me not to come here. Go somewhere else, or skip it all together!! See the pic, no one was there when we were sent off, now, people around being served!
