The Bellefonte Cafe

Chanced upon this place and loved it! Quaint little cafe with great service and tasty food. Even though we sat on the second floor, Jessica waited on our table really well. They had live country music on the first floor and they even offered to live stream on the second floor so we don’t miss out. Got the Bellefonte Benny and Brisket Burger and both were really good but service trumps it all. Definitely would recommend.

Didn’t wait long for my food and I got a drink while I waited and the bartenders are awesome. The live music is pretty cool too! I stayed a bit even after my food was brought to me!!!! The smash burger be smashin! I’ll give this place the triple G + a five star rating ★★★★★ (Great food, Great service, Great atmosphere) Running back there every chance I’m in the area to get a quick smash in ヽ(￣д￣;)ノ=3=3=3 !

Great food and awesome live music

We just happened to be driving through this area and stumbled onto this place, which is great because I am vegetarian and my friend is vegan. The menu here had options for us, great waitstaff, a friendly, eclectic vibe, and good iced tea as well. I would definitely recommend this cute little joint!

If you’re in the mood for a fun atmosphere and great food, give this place a try. The food is just as awesome as the art on the walls. I plan on revisiting when there is a band playing.

Quirky, fun cafe with a cool vibe and lovely staff

Breakfast takeout was made safe and easy with Bellefonte Cafe's take-out window located on their covered porch. You place your order online and pay at the window at pick up. I had the tofu scramble burrito and a sweet potato cinnamon bun (generous portions, had to save some for later) with an almond milk coffee latte and it was all delicious. Service was friendly and quick. They have lovely outdoor seating areas, so when the weather warms up, it will be wonderful to sit outside.

Great food, great service and an awesome environment. I look forward to returning!

A beautiful little place with a selection of unique, delicious entrees, well thought out appetizers, and an excellent drink selection. On Sundays brunch is available, and a band plays on the weekends. The price is a bit high on some items for a regular trip, but it's still well worth when you're not in the mood for run-of-the-mill.

We visit the cafe whenever we are in the area. The outdoor garden space is so tranquil. We have never had a bad meal, seriously... you can’t miss. There is usually stellar live entertainment as well.

Great atmosphere, great food, and amazing coffee. Weekends they're super busy, so it's best to get their early. If you get there late, however, you might get to hear a live music. If you're lucky you might even get to meet a fluffy friend (as pictured)

Cool little hidden gem. Enjoyed brunch with a girlfriend. Sat on the shaded deck with overhead fans. We split the Sammy Bagel and BEC on brioche sandwich with a side of potatoes. For drinks we did a custom Irish coffee and the lavender lemonade. Both were tasty. Next time we may sit indoors to enjoy the live music that plays until 2pm.

I am so disappointed we are from out of town or we would be regulars for sure! Food was fresh and delicious, patio was super cute, and Katie was a wonderful server. In fact the whole staff was very friendly and welcoming!

Place is terrific. Since it's a small venue when they have a band it is very loud.

My first visit to Bellafonte Cafe to hear a friend sing. What a little gem of a place. Good food. Got the smash burger and black bean soup. My mom got the vegan burger. Friends got the Mediterranean plate. So so tasty. Our server was Riley. She was delightful and took very good care of us... And extra props... She got my picky order correct! Can't wait to come back.

Laid back restaurant with amazing local food. The Winter Harvest salad is my favorite, and the hummus appetizer was delicious. Ari served us and we had a great time. Have come before during live music and that’s fun but even their playlists are a good vibe to relax and eat to.

Great atmosphere. This place is known for the best brunch in Wilmington. But we showed up for some live music on a Saturday night. Awesome. Great people great food great music.

We went for a Christmas dinner my 2 friends and myself we enjoyed the great food. We had the Nachos , I had the Big Pig and we had a wonderful server Ari who was very attentive and did a good job throughout the night. There was a live band we had a great time it is a great place to visit!

Staff is always warm and welcoming. Our server Ari was personable and made sure we had everything. The meal was wonderful as always, the drinks (alcoholic and regular) are always great! I look forward to our next meal here.

The atmosphere and staff are the best here. Small and eclectic. Lots of vegan , vegetarian, and GF options. Great speciality drinks. Nice outdoor seats on deck for brunch or out back. Music daily.

We love coming here for the music and food! Especially the seasonal pancakes.

This place is excellent and has a great menu with a lot of good options to choose from. Definitely an eclectic menu with fun stuff to try not just typical stuff you see everywhere. Kitchen is definitely going out of its way to try different things and punch above its weight. Great drink selection and it’s awesome they work with Wilmington Brew Works for beer and Rock Bottom Roasters for coffee. It’s nice to see spots supporting local for real. The smashburger is awesome and love all the soups.

We attend weekly business networking luncheons here in the upstairs meeting room. No distractions, comfortable atmosphere, and AV available. The place has a great history, which one of the owner's shared with us. Great customer service.

This was my first time here and it was such a charming spot that I'll definitely be back. Katie was our server and she was the best!!! Highly recommend the specials. We had cinnamon pancakes with caramel apples and granola layered with a cinnamon cream.

Really great place to enjoy Sunday brunch. The food was delicious. The drip coffee left me wanting, but everything else was perfect.

Absolutely loved our recent visit to this gem of a restaurant! The food was top-notch and the cozy ambience made the whole experience feel extra special. What truly stood out was the surprise appearance of a close-up magician who visited our table. He amazed us with clever tricks and even gave a candy to my daughter (out of thin air). She’s still talking about “the magical man” days later! A perfect blend of great food, stylish vibes, and unexpected entertainment.

Excellent little restaurant. Live music nightly. Great latte, great salmon (one of the best I've ever had), strong service. Beautiful atmosphere and ample seating.

We had been meaning to stop in here for a while and we finally got the chance to. The atmosphere is really cozy. We ate upstairs. The service was slow the night we were there but they were undermanned so I am sure it's faster most other nights. The food was decent. I really enjoyed The Rachel Sandwich. It's a nice little neighborhood place.

This was such a cute little place! We went during the bellefonte art festival and the cafe was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The food was delicious and we had so much fun relaxing in the outdoor seating area. The ambiance was so fun and quaint. We’ll definitely be back!

Quaint and quirky eatery in a converted house. The sandwiches are great and they have plenty of vegan options. The atmosphere is relaxed as is the service. The nachos were tasty but i would consider them a bean dip rather than nachos.

Lovely cafe but the food was overpriced and the French toast was like a dessert with the marshmallows, etc. Also I didn't appreciate all that ice in my mimosa. It's not suppose to have ice in it. Loved the live jazz music!

Cool place, but very small. Service was slow but the food was tasty, although I'd say a little overpriced. The live music was great!

Seating areas were beautiful & service was great. The hummus was awesome, I think it's made in house! Unfortunately all the other food we ordered was badly cooked and espresso was sour. Maybe the staff prepping those need more training...

Somewhat disappointed. Things have changed considerably over the past year. Initially, the new owners were very innovative, introducing new talent and events. Seems like they’ve reversed direction and have a more limited menu, and don’t have some of the same regular entertainment as they had in the past. I do like the addition of kombucha.

Arrived around 7:15pm, decided to get a table in the performance room and while it was loud, we could hold a conversation. Ordered the Chips & Salsa/Guacamole and they were a nice starter since we both were hungry. We both ordered burgers; she had the SmashBurger and enjoyed it while I had the Veggie Burger(vegan using Beyond Meat). I had so many of the new generation vegan burgers and this probably was the best I’ve had so far in 8yrs! Loaded and tasty! I ordered a second beer and my server didn’t know the name of the replacement beer(the first one kicked during dinner) but said it was an IPA. I took her word for it. I was full but wanted to try the Coconut Chocolate cake on the dessert menu, so ordered one to go. Our server brought it out in a box and we opened it to see. I’m not kidding, but it was the size of a Costco sample. My wife and I had had a long week(letting someone else cook and turn off our brains), so we weren’t in the mood to return it and wait to get the bill adjusted. Definitely not a sharing dessert! Other than the dessert we had a great meal and will probably go back again but skipping dessert.

Cute and comfortable, kind of quirky spot. Towny feel. Fresh ingredients. Awkward presentation. Outdoor seating was nice and a lot of character to the place overall. Very nice servers.

I have eaten here twice in the past six months and was very disappointed in the food both times. Fun atmosphere, friendly service, but I wont go back. The food I and my partner had was subpar. Soups and coleslaw are terrible.
