Excellent experience at Matthew’s Steakhouse in Winter Park, Orlando. The chicken was absolutely amazing, and the ambiance created a perfect atmosphere for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. The wine recommendations were spot on and paired beautifully with the meal. Our server Nicole and the entire staff took great care of both our food and our time, making the experience feel attentive without ever being rushed. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a memorable dining experience.
Matthew’s Steakhouse offered me an amazing experience. I reserved an 8:30 time slot for my birthday, and while I was late about 20 minutes they were still very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The food was absolutely amazing, and if I lived in FL, I would return again and again. Thank you to the staff at Matthew’s for a memorable birthday celebration!!!
Matthew’s Steakhouse is one of my favorite spots in Winter Garden. The food is consistently excellent, the filet mignon is my go-to and it always hits with that Parmesan cheese sauce. The space itself has a high-end feel without being too formal, which makes it great whether you’re out with friends or celebrating something special. Chystal and Eddie, the owners, bring a real sense of community to the place. You can tell they care about the people who come in and about supporting local, like the drink menu that features local businesses as fun names and inspired drinks. It’s one of those spots that just gets it right on every level: food, atmosphere, and vibes 🤙🏽✨
We stopped by Winter Garden and found this charming restaurant — one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! The meat was cooked right beside us, perfectly done, and the risotto we ordered as a side was just as amazing. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream, very tasty. I will sure go back there again!
Mathew’s Steakhouse is such a unique restaurant. They locally source all their ingredients, even the spirits and beers they serve at the bar. They also honor the local stores in the downtown neighborhood by creating cocktails inspired by them. We only went for drinks and sat at the bar and Monroe took such good care of us. Cocktails were delicious and the service was impeccable. We will definitely come back for dinner.
Maryerie with Offline - This establishment was amazing. It was so cute and intimate. It was large but it didn’t feel like it. Alejandro was an amazing server. His old fashions were wonderful. We chose the bread service and the pumpkin seed pesto is packed with flavor. We got the 12oz steak with the baked potato and broccoli and added the 2 grilled colossal shrimp. The shrimp was an unexpected underdog. It was so flavorful and leaves you wanting more. Will definitely return. This time, we eat first. It was so delicious. Please go to this restaurant.
I've been to Matthew's twice now and can't wait to go back again. My first visit was to celebrate my wife's birthday, and we enjoyed the ambiance, and downtown Winter Garden location. The attentive staff helped create a truly special evening, ensuring our every need was met without being intrusive. As you can, and should expect, the filet migon, was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. My second recent visit was for a work dinner, and Matthew's did not disappoint!!! The professional setting and impeccable service were perfect for our business gathering. We particularly appreciated the extensive wine list, which offered a wide variety of options to compliment our meal. I would highly recommend Matthew's to anyone looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience. It's the perfect place for a special occasion or a sophisticated business meeting.
Awesome service and Amazing food for our anniversary dinner. This is a treat yourself restaurant that open and limited seating so reservations are important. I had the beet and burrata salad and it was beyond delicious. I had the filet and my husband the ribeye. We paired it with upgraded sides for additional fee. We ordered a nice bottle of pilot noir. And followed with a new york style cheesecake. I did order the mushrooms and was not found of the sauce they put on it and didnt see it mentioned so I will probably skip the sauce next time. Overall Alejandro took great care of us and will be back for another special occasion! 5 stars 🌟
Jessica was great. We pretty much had the entire menu lol. Seriously though- spent about a grand and the experience was well worth it. You should definitely check them out if you are a Jacksonville native or live out of town like we do.
Wow! what an amazing place! food was epic, we had so many people hovering around our table taking care of us it was just amazing. Getting to chat with the owners and hearing about how hey make some of the steak. Just such a great way to spend my birthday!!! Also! if you don't order the mushroom medley you're simply missing out on life
My husband and I went to celebrate an occasion and enjoyed the small, quiet, classy atmosphere. The server was very attentive and when I had a hard time picking a wine he even brought 3 bottles to the table and let me taste each one. Very nice touch! The beets and burrata salad was delicious with a dressing that I am still thinking about!! My steak and shrimp were seasoned and cooked perfectly. My husband enjoyed the lollipop lamb chops so much that he almost ordered a second helping for dessert! Oh, and the gelato was a perfect ending. We also met one of the owners and thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. We will be back!
The food was incredible! I highly recommend you try the caprese appetizer! Their pesto is a homemade, with pumpkin seeds. The new owners are phenomenal and offer an incredible wine tasting experience. I have had the Sirloin medium temperature with the baked potato, and broccoli. Beautifully cooked with a slight crust, juicy and tender within. Pictured is the grilled chicken with a red wine reduction. 10oz Filet- Pittsburg style: delicious. So tender Pistachio ice cream. Special recognition for Magestas warmed cookie topped with vanilla ice cream. Warmed gluten-free Oatmeal cookie truly a chefs kiss DELICIOUS!

Five-star service! I can’t rave enough about this place! The entire experience was top-notch, thanks in large part to the amazing staff—especially Devin. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the various wines and steaks, and his pairing suggestions were spot on. Devin was also extremely pleasant and made sure we never felt rushed. The atmosphere is exceptional—this place is more than just a restaurant, it’s an experience. I highly recommend trying the 18-ounce ribeye and the lollipop lamb chops—the red wine reduction sauce was hands down the best I’ve ever had. The staff was also very accommodating when it came to food allergies and preferences. We’re currently following a carnivore diet, and they made it so easy for us. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation—you won’t regret it. Enjoy!

Excellent and Expensive - great ambiance, friendly attentive service, limited menu but each item executed superbly as well it should for the exorbitant prices. Fresh crisp wedge salads, perfectly seared tender large scallops with white truffle thyme butter, nice crunch on the grilled asparagus but the star of the menu are the 4 choices of steak cooked to order on an open well ventilated grill of intense heat and flame perfect for Pittsburgh style heavy char and rare juicy meat - at $65 for a 16oz ribeye it was cooked to perfection. I had to complement the top-notch grill man! Most mediocre reviews were mainly from old vs new owners (who were wonderful and inviting) and I think just out of sticker shock on pricing looking for things to complain about like plating and limited options but limitations here allows them to focus on fresh and high quality items. My recommendation is read menu beforehand online and just sucked it up that this will be an expensive meal and focus yourself on enjoying the food and dining experience.
This was our first time visiting Mathew’s Steakhouse and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We had great service and the ambiance of the restaurant is relaxing and upscale. The quality of the steaks is outstanding. From appetizers, entrees to deserts, everything we had tasted amazing. The head chef Eddie and hostess Chrystal were very friendly making sure we had a great experience. We will definitely be back in the future.
This place is amazing! It’s a high quality mom and pop restaurant! You will not regret coming here to eat! The steak is delicious and the atmosphere is fantastic! 10/10, would recommend! Monroe and Nichole were amazing and friendly!

We had our annual Christmas Dinner / Party for a party of 30. They were able to accommodate all of us. We were able to rent the restaurant out prior to opening so we were able to not worry about disturbing others. Service was excellent and timing was very good.
Matthew’s Steakhouse is your place if you want top quality tasty food! The service is impeccable and the atmosphere is charming. With elevated cocktails, a superb wine list and steaks cooked to perfection, run don’t walk to this gem in downtown Winter Garden!
It was an incredible night, with exceptional food and service. Unfortunately, for one detail, it does not deserve 5 stars, as shown in the attached photo. A restaurant of this standard and with this price should not serve a drink with rotten fruit, that is disgusting. Apart from this incident, the quality of everything we ate was incredible, and our server was very friendly and helpful.

Our first time and while the service was excellent and the food was delicious...we were disappointed in the portion size given the high prices. The "Colossal" Shrimps(2) for $14 were at most medium sized and not worth the cost. The baked potatoes were on the smallish side. The kicker was the 5oz house Cab wine for $24! Not cool. While we enjoyed the experience and the food...it is unlikely we will be back due to the disparity between portions and price.
My husband and I came in for dinner on Valentine’s Day. While the service and ambiance were amazing, we had a couple issues with our meal. The staff was very accommodating and did whatever they could to make sure they fixed the issue. For that reason, I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for steak lovers.
A 3.5 overall. This is my second time there. Small nice place in downtown Winter Garden. Attentive, but somewhat informal and erratic service for what you should expect in a place like this. Service did not ask everyone for their drinks, they went on to asking if we wanted appetizers. Wine list small, not dedicated, with only a very few moderately good choices. Prices are expensive per bottle, some even 3 to 4 times original price. Better buy by glass. Appetizers were ok. None fancy. Steaks were good quality, good temperature, but all were extremely salty. Mushroom side very good, bake potatoes tiny, broccoli slightly burned. Place is good but will never compare to more well known steak houses. I think is ok for the area.

I dont often participate in reviews, My wife and i sat at the bar and ordered steaks they were very good as all 3 occasions prior. Out bartender Monroe was less than gracious. She was most interested in suggesting the most expensive items on the menu, no personality, smile etc. My manhattan was good but a 2oz pour (as stated on menu) for 38.00 is insane not mention my wifes martini was approx 27.00. I believe if we consider returning we will not have cocktails. The owner as usual was very pleasant as well as back up bartender/server.

On January 3, my boyfriend and I went to dinner at Matthew’s Steakhouse. Unfortunately, our overall experience was very unpleasant. While the ambiance of the restaurant was nice, the food did not meet our expectations, especially considering the high prices. We felt the quality did not justify the cost. Additionally, we had a negative interaction with the host. When I politely asked to be seated on a specific side of the restaurant, she told me that the table was reserved. However, shortly after, I overheard another couple say they did not have a reservation, yet they were seated at the same table I had requested. This made me feel that I was not treated honestly or fairly. Because of these issues, our dining experience was disappointing, and I do not feel it reflected the level of service one would expect from a restaurant of this reputation.
