The truth is, I've been to the "Shintai" sushi restaurant countless times, and each time the waiters have provided excellent service and treated me and my family very kindly. We are people who care about what we eat and how to make it. They completely changed our minds about sushi, as we hadn't eaten it before due to a bad experience at another location. The people in charge of our table were very kind in explaining everything and answering all our questions. Another thing worth highlighting is the quality of the food. In my opinion, my favorite is "Crazy Monkey." Without a doubt, the "Shintai" restaurant is a great place to eat sushi for the first time.

This is undoubtedly the best Shintai location in all of Xalapa. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and there are far fewer people, so the service is super fast—much better than at Plaza Americas. We ordered the griddle and didn't have to wait in line for two hours or more. The mixed yakimeshi is amazing, as is the sushi. I highly recommend it! 100/10

I had a very pleasant overall experience visiting this restaurant. I went on a Saturday. From the start, the food exceeded my expectations: each dish was well-prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The effort and quality in the kitchen were evident. I especially want to highlight the service from the young woman who served us. She was very kind, attentive, and professional at all times, even though she clearly had a heavy workload. She always maintained a positive attitude and went out of her way to make our experience the best it could be, which is greatly appreciated as a customer. However, there was one detail that was bothersome. I noticed a person standing in a corner of the restaurant, seemingly not doing anything or assisting with the service. This person, who wore glasses and appeared to be a large individual, seemed to be part of the staff, but offered no help to the young woman, who was clearly overwhelmed with work. This situation was annoying, as the service could have been even more efficient with better teamwork. Despite this minor inconvenience, my experience was positive thanks to the quality of the food and the excellent service from the waitress. I believe that with better staff organization, the restaurant could offer an even more outstanding experience.

La comida es buena pero la atención a domicilio es fatal. No sé quién sea el responsable de entregar y verificar que los pedidos vayan completos pero no está haciendo bien su trabajo. Hoy 21 de febrero de 2026 me mandaron incompleto mi pedido y cuando mi repartidor de confianza regresó le comentaron que si quería mi comida faltante, yo pagara la vuelta. Llamé para aclarar la situación pero simplemente descolgaron la línea y nunca me contestaron.

Es importante que desde el gerente hasta la host tengan contacto y deb seguimiento a su mesa,tienen que trabajar en el sentido de urgencia ,y por favor no hagan briefing mientras tienen servicio si no lo van a atender bien

Pésimo servicio, lento a pesar de ser sólo dos mesas, no servia el baño ni tenían hielos, así que nos sirvieron una limonada caliente, sin informarnos, éramos tres personas en la mesa y nos trajeron nuestro pedido con intervalos de 15 min o más.

La atención por parte de la gerencia o encargados en mi visita fue mala, por el clima se pidió que si podía mover la mesa de la corriente de viento helado y no se permitió, que si se podía emparejar la puerta y tampoco se permitió, pero unos instantes después cuando el viento frío molesto al encargado la puerta fue cerrada completamente, por cierto la sopa "laito" demaciado salada y el postre de mango muy malo.

Completamente decepcionada. La calidad de las preparaciones y cocteles en Shintai está por los suelos. Rollos extremadamente pequeños, arroz pastoso, exceso de queso crema y una minúscula porción de salmón ahumado. Y del mojito ni hablar.

Pedí entrega a domicilio, el yakimeshi una porción risoria, insuficiente y mal preparada. El rollo California muy delgado. No recomiendo ennlo absoluto este lugar donde además no te especifican el tamaño de las porciones. Un fiasco, muy poca comida por lo que pagué.

Me pedí un Ramen y fue el peor que he comido, su caldo super diluido sin sabor, la carne super mal condimentada, me quede con un mal sabor de boca, aparte de eso según el horario cierran a las 10 pm y llegue 10 minutos antes de las 9 y ya solo nos dieron servicio para llevar.

Fue pedido a domicilio faltaron ingredientes, tenia muy pocos fideos ramen, la maruchan tendria más, todo llego super frío, el kushiage de plátano con queso crema fue una decepción con su relleno de dos rebanadas pequeñas de plátano macho verde y crudo, las gyozas también una decepción, solo el sushi de arrachera fue bueno.

For a long time, we considered this restaurant a reliable and frequently recommended option for our colleagues for business lunches and personal visits; however, on our last few visits, the experience has taken a turn for the worse, forcing us to reconsider our recommendation. We used to go every Saturday, but this was our last visit. We've noticed a considerable increase in prices, without any corresponding improvement in quality. On the contrary, the portions are smaller, which directly impacts the value for money that previously distinguished the place. In addition, there's a deficiency in service, as the restaurant has been operating with only one waitress to serve all the tables. There's another person in a corner, whom we assume is a supervisor or manager, but this supposed "supervisor" just stands there while the bell rings, and you can clearly see them bringing out the dishes while the waitress is taking more orders or serving other dishes. This results in excessive wait times, delays in ordering, and limited service. It's a shame they don't train their staff, especially for positions that require initiative, leadership, and teamwork—three key characteristics that, in my experience, are clearly lacking. Unfortunately, these changes have negatively impacted the overall experience. As frequent customers and people who used to actively recommend this restaurant, we hope that action will be taken to correct these issues, as in its current state it no longer meets the standards that once made it a highly recommended and classic choice. Accountant Mario should be more attentive to these incidents, although I don't think he's even aware of the situation.

We ordered two vegetarian ramen orders through the Didi app, and what arrived was boiled water, a few vegetables, and tofu with absolutely no flavor. Completely tasteless; not the broth, not the noodles, not the tofu—nothing at all. It was just boiled water with noodles that tasted like absolutely nothing. The price and the wait were completely unacceptable. I called the branch, and they explained that the "vegan ramen" (which doesn't match the description or photo on the app) was just boiled water broth with whatever flavor was left over from the vegetables (????) and that next time I should order miso broth (how would I know that if they don't include a description on the app???). I find it disrespectful to the customer that: 1. They don't make sure to properly specify their dishes on the delivery platforms. 2. They don't even consider whether it's ethical to sell "ramen" that consists of boiled water, unsalted noodles, unseasoned tofu, and two spinach leaves. 3: The roll was so carelessly packaged. It arrived squashed and unappetizing. The order was a TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. We spent $405.53 on this order to avoid cooking and have a pleasant afternoon, and we ended up trying to fix the water that arrived 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
