Overview: Evan’s Smokehouse is a quaint outdoor BBQ restaurant. It’s not like any other BBQ places I have ever tasted. This Southern style BBQ have a taste that Californians has never tasted. Ambiance: The outdoor seating concept makes you feel like you are having a BBQ in your back yard or at a campsite. It’s a great place to hang out with family and friends. Food (top 3) The Beef Brisket is so tender and flavorful. The Pork Ribs is also tender and have a slight sweetness (very slight). Potato Salad? I can eat this everyday and that is all I have to say about it. I still need to try the other options on the menu, but it’s so hard because that Brisket keeps luring me back in. You have to try for yourself.

Yes, eat here. Outdoor, simple, and DELICIOUS! If I could give them 6 stars, I would. Come early because just as any good quality bbq place should, they do sell out of food.

Excellent brisket, very tender and delicious. Carolina pulled pork sandwich was great, and the potato salad and baked beans were just what you’d expect from a fantastic BBQ place. Great job, Evan!

Hidden gem for sure! Brisket was juicy perfect comes with a smokey sauce; and ribs were massive, super tender and tasty with lots of runny barbecue. The hot link was good too and not too spicy, came with a mustardy ranch sauce. Beans a bit too sweet for us but potato salad was on point, cornbread was mah even though it had actual corn and jalapeños. They've already ran out of banana pudding (Sunday 7pm-ish). There was nobody before us, we got our food ready in less than 10 minutes. Place is out in the open, clean and friendly. The lighting and wooden picnic tables gives campy vibes, feels really nice. Like every proper BBQ joint, they only open certain days, from Thursdays to Sundays. Definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu like brisket chili, pulled pork, coleslaw and the 'nana pudding no doubt!

I have to start off by saying I'm pretty tough on BBQ restaurants and am not impressed by many here in California(only 3 in total), but this was the best all around BBQ food I have had and you won't be disappointed coming here. I'll start with the brisket, very well-rendered fat, tender, good smoke flavor and a decent bark that has just enough seasoning to balance it out. The pulled pork. Tender, juicy Memphis style flavor. The half chicken was very juicy and the dry rub and sauce on it made it about the best BBQ chicken we have ever had. The ribs were pretty good, just not quite as tender as I personally prefer mine to be but still a good choice and had a great flavor. The cornbread was incredibly flavorful and moist. It was so good we even took 2 extra pieces home. Baked beans were very flavorful and not overly sweet as a lot can be. We will be making this a regular spot and will be recommending it to everyone.

As you park near by to begin your journey to this magical spot, you don't even need to look where you are going. Just follow your nose and you'll find it. The smell of smoked meats fills the air and preps you for the feast to come. When I got there, I was told the best things on the menu was the brisket and the cornbread. Of course I had to get those, and on top of that I got a full rack of pork ribs, 1/2 chicken, baked beans, and potato salad. Lets start with the best things on the menu. The brisket was one of the most moist and succulent pieces of bbq I've had in a long time. When paired with the bbq on the side, it compliments it perfectly with a slight acidic taste of the vinegar based bbq sauce to cut through the fat of the brisket. Next was the jalapeno cornbread, this was hands down one of the best cornbreads I've ever had. The cornbread had a crunchy top layer with a soft and succulent center. The hint of jalapeno added a bit of heat which I loved. These for sure are the things to get. Do not come here and miss out on these two items. The next items were great, but were out shined by the brisket. The pork ribs were flavorful and had a nice rub on them, but I thought it could have used a bit more smoke flavor in them. The 1/2 chicken was very moist and the dark meat was to die for, but since it was a bbq chicken I wish there was more smokey flavor. The sides were all fantastic and my favorite had to be the baked beans. Don't skip out on the sides here; there aren't many, but they are all done very well. Overall I would love to come back here again and try the pulled pork. The owner, Evan, was very nice and came to check up on us and wanted to know how we liked everything. He also told us about his upcoming plans and I can't wait to see what else he has in store for this place. For being only about a month old, they have some growing to do, but I don't doubt it will only get better from here.

WOW. This is the level of BBQ the area needed! Have been to Evan’s Smokehouse a couple of times since it opened, and was blown away. I don’t write a whole lot of reviews, but this place needs to be spoken about. The brisket is WITHOUT A DOUBT the best I’ve had, and I’ve tried tons. Get more than you think you want, because you’ll be sad when it’s gone😂 Also tried the pulled pork and ribs, both fantastic. My mother doesn’t usually like ribs, LOVED THESE. Grab extra sauce so you can drown it if you need to...and the cornbread...OMG THE CORNBREAD😖🤤 little bit of spice from the jalapeños, and plenty of butter. It’s a must. Bbq beans were perfect, thick and flavorful. I typically shy away from potato salad and coleslaw, but they were both good! SUMMARY: If you like epic food, and a fun outdoor (with shade) eating experience GET HERE🚀

This is some very good BBQ. I placed my order over the phone to-go with a very polite and cordial Caesar. I ordered one pound of brisket, a side of the bbq beans and a side of the cornbread. The brisket was very impressive in my opinion. Very subtle smoke flavor with slices about the thickness of a pencil and a hint of seasoning. Just enough fat to meat ratio to fully appreciate all the flavors without the seasoning or smoke overwhelming your palate. Brisket is probably the most difficult protein to prepare in restaurant bbq and is the hallmark of very good BBQ. Evan's really goes beyond expectations on the brisket. The beans, while on the sweet side, were definitely a compliment as a supporting role in this meal. Despite being meager in portion, the cornbread was absolutely delicious! The fire roasted chiles came through very nicely. While I felt we received a very good value for the cost of this delicious bbq meal, I was kinda scratching my head on the portion size of the cornbread. Hot Tip - Call your order in or text your order in around a half an hour before Evan's opens up. Plenty of picnic tables with some umbrellas. Beer and wine available next door. I will definitely be coming back with friends!

This place was amazing. Their food is so tender and perfect. Reminded me of Texas and their amazing Barbecue. The owner's are very friendly. They also have the perfect music, old yet still in style. It all fits the place so perfectly. I had the Carolina and my dad the Brisket Spot, my mom loved their summer salad as well. Their cornbread is so moist and with a surprise of jalapeno that hits the spot(not spicy). This is the go to spot next.

Best BBQ in Yorba Linda. Evan takes the experience he had working with a bunch of pit masters and puts together a delicious BBQ menu. Have been here a few times and never disappointed. Brisket and the pulled pork sandwich are probably my personal favorite and can’t forget the mac and cheese and cornbread for the sides. If you like BBQ it’s a must!

One of the standout items was the smoked chicken, and let me tell you — the tray of chicken thighs they delivered looked like something straight out of a championship turn-in box. Each thigh had a beautifully rendered, bite-through skin — a true pitmaster's touch — and the meat was perfectly juicy, coming clean off the bone without falling apart. Flavor? On point. Smoke? Clean and balanced. It was BBQ chicken perfection. I would add a picture but that tray of chicken got hit like a trash can at midnight by a family of raccoons!

Hands down the best BBQ I’ve ever had—tender, smoky, and bursting with flavor in every bite. The staff and owner were incredibly friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. The ambiance is inviting, with outdoor seating, wooden chairs, and red umbrellas that perfectly capture a charming country vibe.

Food is pretty good, but nowhere near Texas standards as others claim. Brisket and ribs were good but cornbread was the best item of the night. Love the vibe though!

First time trying.. took 22 minutes to get pre cooked food after order during non busy time. The food was $$$... $36 for what's in my picture..brisket and 2 sides. Food was good. Not great or tempting to come back. Bbq is good ..sides were tasty also.

Asked for burnt ends and ended up getting super fatty brisket. The pulled pork was not even identifiable as pulled pork. It was a slab of fat. Overhyped by instagram influencers. would not go back.
