Volveremos !
We had the Wayuu menu. Everything was delicious. The meat was so tender it melted in your mouth. The mushrooms with egg were out of this world. The desserts are homemade and amazing. Plus, since our dog is calm, they let us bring him in. We were very comfortable. It's always best to make a reservation.
Twice in the last month and both times fantastic. Despite being packed, the service was quick, attentive, and incredibly friendly. A 10 out of 10. And that's saying something, considering the owner told us many of the staff were new. The food is magnificent for the price. Everything is cooked over a wood fire: beans the old-fashioned way, simmering on the metal plate since 6 a.m., grilled meats, and wood-fired lamb—simply superb. Homemade desserts were outstanding, especially the rice pudding (too sweet for some, but delicious for me) and the homemade cheesecake. The owner is incredibly nice, as good a host as he is a parking attendant, hahaha. Chatting after lunch, he showed us some of the pieces he's collected from old ironworks and farmhouses in the area, many of which adorn the restaurant walls. And if you bring your dog, they don't mind it eating peacefully at the foot of the table. Highly recommended.
Excellent food, great atmosphere, delicious food, and we'll definitely be back. We're from Extremadura and have made a note to return. We ordered two set menus for €55 per person, with four starters to try: octopus with roasted potatoes, broad beans with mushrooms and eggs, beans, and tuna belly; for the main course, two ribeye steaks with the grill (cooked to your liking); and for dessert, we tried the chilled cheesecake, the mille-feuille (delicious), rice pudding, and orange cake. Everything was perfect and incredibly good, and we'll definitely be back. I highly recommend making a reservation and stopping by without hesitation. And the owner is super friendly, chats with you, and gives great cooking tips.
We made a reservation for lunch with the family. We had bean stew with T-bone steak and bean stew with suckling pig. The food was very good, and the service was also good. The menus include water, wine, dessert, and bread. The bean stew, served as much as you like, with chorizo and bacon, was delicious. (Perhaps a touch too salty, but very good.) The T-bone steak was very good, and they even have a grill if you want more. And the suckling pig was also delicious and tender. Everything was accompanied by fries. For dessert, there was a variety of homemade desserts: custard, rice pudding, flan, and different cakes. We loved it; we'll definitely be back. There are several dining rooms. I give it 4 stars for the atmosphere because it gets smoky from the grills, but the truth is that it's a very nice place.
The food was delicious, and the txuleton was a must. We ordered the bean-based menu, which was excellent, with Crianza wine. And the desserts were 10/10. I have to say that some of the children weren't well-behaved, not because of their own fault, but because of their parents. I would install a more powerful fume hood. Great parking. Mirrors for exiting the parking lot would be nice. The decor is super nice.
We ate there today and it was a great choice. The menu is delicious and the prices are also great. For starters, I ordered stew, and it comes with a good amount because they bring it to you in a pot so you can serve yourself. And for main course, the chicken, which comes with homemade potatoes and a fried egg, was delicious! It also includes water, bread, and dessert! A great choice!
We've been eating the beans and steak menu, and we've upgraded to a mixed salad. Everything was delicious. The service was fast and attentive, and the food was cooked to perfection. Congratulations on the quality of the food and the bread! A very special touch! And they even let us stay with our furry friends! We'll be back; it's a very charming place.
The food is very good and delicious. This is the third or fourth time I've come here with some friends, and we've always ordered the Alubiada menu. Whether it's summer or winter, we think it's one of the best menus in the area. The steak comes very rare, but since they have a grill, you can cook it to your liking and it never gets cold, which we love. If I had to criticize anything, it's that the desserts are the usual classics (Milhojas, Custard, Rice Pudding, Cheesecake...). They're not bad at all, but the variety isn't very wide.
Incredible!
Heaven!!!!!
Se come super bien...
A really authentic Basque meal with meat grilled at the table, big portions and great charm.
We had the kid goat set menu. The beans were good, but on the menu they were advertised as "beans with all the trimmings." We felt that a piece of chorizo and a piece of pork jowl fell far short of what's considered "all the trimmings," which are served in other places. The kid goat was spectacular, perfectly cooked and very juicy. The coffee was served in a clay pot, a curious touch that you don't see anymore. The organization left something to be desired. Thanks to a few young waiters who knew what they were doing, the place managed to function. The wait times (even to pay) were terrible. It makes little sense for the waiter who served you to stop attending to his tables to escort you to the bar to take your payment.
We booked for four people, but the service was inefficient and very limited; only one person was serving the entire room. We ordered the bean and ribeye steak set menu with crianza wine. The beans were good. The ribeye arrived cold, and we had to wait another five minutes for the grill to cook it further. A few minutes later, the potatoes arrived (also cold). We moved on to dessert, which was decent with three options. The restaurant itself is very pleasant, with rustic decor, and you leave smelling of ribeye. Special mention for the wine: refilled bottles. I don't understand how they can be so shameless as to present bottles that have been carelessly refilled, with dirty labels, clearly showing they've been used a lot. The first bottle they served was a crianza, but inside it was clearly a young wine. We ordered a second bottle, and the waiter made a mistake and brought us a bottle of young wine (it tasted the same as the first). A bottle reused endlessly, its label faded from the sheer volume of wine spilled over it during refills. The restaurant has tried to boost its reviews by inviting foodies to speak highly of it, but the truth is, its current 3.8 rating is fair—I'd even say it's slightly overrated.
Twenty-four bikers went for lunch with a reservation. Most of us ordered the bean stew and T-bone steak menu for €38 (it didn't say anything about it being for sharing). The beans tasted like they'd stuck together, and the bacon was awful, it looked like plastic. Now for the funniest part: four of us waited over half an hour for the T-bone steak. Because it was taking so long, the waiter insisted they had a suckling pig cooked and asked if we wanted it, saying it was freshly cooked and piping hot! Obviously, we said we didn't want T-bone steak. What a surprise! After waiting for what was supposed to be four T-bone steaks, one for each of us, we got one, and not a very big one at that, for two people! Then dessert arrived. I ordered cheesecake, and some of it came all over the plate... and the waiter told me it was the ugliest dessert, but the biggest! In short, a disaster of service and professionalism. It was the first time I went, but it was probably the last.
A group of 13 of us went to the Korostondo restaurant on October 25th with a reservation for 3:00 PM, and the experience was truly awful. Despite the reservation, we weren't served until over an hour later. The atmosphere was very uncomfortable, with a lot of smoke, a bad smell, and poor cleanliness. (I've attached a photo of the friend we found in one of the dishes). The food was very bland, lacking any special flavor, and the presentation was sloppy. To make matters worse, in the following days, several people in our group (6 in total) experienced high fevers, vomiting, and general malaise. Without a doubt, the experience at this restaurant was terrible from beginning to end. We would not recommend this place under any circumstances.
I ordered my meat well-done and was served something burnt on the outside and completely raw on the inside, with blood (it was beef entrails). We also ordered a ribeye steak, also well-done, and the same thing happened: burnt on the outside and inedible on the inside. To top it all off, the sea bass we ordered arrived raw. In short: a total disappointment. This place isn't worth eating at.
