Absolutamente el mejor lugar que he comido en México. Aunque llegara a las 10 pm el personal fue super atento y LA COMIDA OMG. OMG. De verdad un lugar que debes probar. Pocas veces en mi vida habia comido tan rico. Juro no estoy exagerando fue vivir la escena de ratatouille cuando prueba los sabores omg.

muy recomendable, el lugar es muy bonito, la atención es buena. pedí un ceviche tatemado y no tardaron mucho tiempo en sacarlo, tiene un toque exquisito y excelente para comer en la tarde junto a tu familia, la música es agradable para conversar a gusto, 10/10💯😋

Probé el pulpo con mole que es una exquisitez, mi pareja el salmón que también era delicioso + una jarra de agua, no se arrepentirán de comer aquí.

Es un excelente lugar para comer ubicado en el pleno centro de la playa Zipolite Oaxaca. La comida es buena pero quiero mencionar aparte el servicio que es excelente, las señoritas que atienden son verdaderamente gentiles y amables además de serviciales lo cual hace que enseguida sientas confianza y que agradezcas que te atiendan de una manera tan eficiente. La comida, como decía, es bastante buena pedimos unos tacos placeros que estaban llenos y generosos, eran de atún y pulpo y lo sirven con guacamole la verdad bastante buenos también pedimos una hamburguesa que estaba rica. Para beber pedimos una jarra de agua de frutas, estaba deliciosa una de las mejores que haya probado. El lugar tiene acceso desde la calle principal de Zipolite así como por la playa, es bastante colorido y agradable.

Un lugar maravilloso para comer en familia. Se puede percibir un ambiente cómodo, tranquilo y adecuado para esos momentos especiales que queremos pasar en familia. El personal estuvo siempre al pendiente y a disposición. La comida es sumamente deliciosa y los ingredientes utilizados eran frescos, todo muy bien. Paradise within paradise. Simply the best food we had on our multi-city trip, including Oaxaca City, Mazunte, and Puerto Escondido (which, as you can tell, isn’t a minor food scene). We had dinner here two consecutive nights and tried Guacamole con chicharrón de pulpo, Ceviche Xhuba, Aguachile negro tatemado, Pez Maracuyá y Pulpo en mole. Every dish was immaculate, with delicate flavors and perfect textures. The octopus mole was from another planet — another era. Oscar and Hugo are legendary waiters; their recommendations are unmatched, and it’s honestly surprising there isn’t a line of people waiting to follow their guidance. The music was perfectly paired to the experience, completing a meal that felt effortless and magical.

Had wonderful experiences here. The servers are always very attentive and kind. I really recommend their camarones en coco and their horchata con melon. My wife and I felt great spending our beach days lounging in their chairs and eating great food and drinks. They also have a pool open to customers that is very clean. Can’t wait to go back!

YUM! My favourite meal in Zipolite. The vegan ceviche was delicious and creative, as were the fish tacos. Generous portions. This is not the cheapest place to eat, but I think the price is great considering the top-tier food and location. Great options for the vegans, veggies, and gluten-free among us.

Xhuba was excellent, one of my fave places to eat in Mexico! Went for dinner and had to go back again the next day for lunch. Both meals had me involuntarily going "mmmm" while I ate. Still thinking about the food there (and the location ain't bad either).

I don’t know why there are so many recent bad reviews, but my boyfriend and I had the best lunch here. All we could think was how happy we were to be there. The food is great, the service is so friendly, love that the server was jamming to his music. Definitely in the top 10 of all tacos we’ve had in Mexico so far. The salsa is also amazing!!! We asked for a second helping, just amazing paired with the tacos. The view was beautiful and so is life

Xhuba quickly became our go to restaurant for dinner! Busy but not packed, table on the beach, quality and generous dishes, friendly service, couldn’t recommend more! The menu is a good representation of the local cuisine, not made for tourists Coconut shrimps are a must ;)

Wendy was the BEST! Vegetarian restaurant where we had a chicken dinner! LOL! Very good Mexican chicken dish that was worth the wait. Live music showed up and enhanced the dinner on the beach experience. We were being checked out by a few dogs but that were respectful. We split a meal and had two large bottles of water for a whopping $11!! This meal was so good! I recommend you check it out for a change in the pace!

Genuinely one of the best restaurants we visited during our stay. The view and location is (of course) exceptional, being right on the beach, and the vibe is perfect with the colorful chairs and fun music. Our server, Wendy, was incredible - helpful, friendly, attentive, and the food was perfection. Don’t miss this if you’re in the area!

Pedí ceviche, había poquitas mesas y el servicio fue muy tardado si vas con hambre o sin paciencia no lo recomiendo. El sabor del ceviche estaba buenazo pero claramente como la mayoría de cosas acá no pica, puedes pedir salsas picosas y te llevan unas de habanero, no es la mejor opción pero si buscas que tenga sabor más “mexicano” más a ceviche pues le ayuda. La porción es buena, la cerveza fría, punto menos porque no tiene tostadas, solo totopos.

Was recommended here by a few people but didn’t think it lived up to the recommendation, it was very average. We went for dinner after sunset and, while I know it’s Zipolite, the service was so slow and the wait staff didn’t seem to care. Prepare to be here for a few hours. The food itself was okay, but I think there are better options along the beach. The aguachile salsa was a highlight though, quite spicy but very delicious. The shrimp it was served with wasn’t the best though, had a vein in one of them. The restaurant also seemed out of a lot of things - tuna, mahi mahi.

Nos tocó una muy mala experiencia en cuanto al servicio, nunca pudimos comer porque no nos entregaron nuestros platillos, luego de una hora nos informaron que no tenían parte de los ingredientes. El mesero no fue nada amable, recomiendo acercarse con las meseras chicas. La vista es espectacular y la mixología muy buena.

CARO, ESCASO Y MALO Fui a cenar por Año Nuevo con expectativas altas, ya que había visitado este restaurante anteriormente y la experiencia había sido buena. Lamentablemente, esta vez fue todo lo contrario. La relación precio–calidad fue muy mala. Pagamos $1500 por persona y la comida estuvo muy por debajo de ese valor: platos con poca elaboración, ingredientes simples y sin ningún cuidado especial en la presentación ni en el sabor. Nada justificaba el precio que cobraban! A la carta pagas menos de la mitad y comes mejor! Los tragos fueron de baja calidad, mal preparados y sin equilibrio. La atención fue lenta y desorganizada, claramente por falta de personal, lo cual impactó en toda la experiencia. El postre fue directamente incomible, de aspecto y sabor barato, algo inadmisible para una cena de fin de año. Además, no hubo música en vivo ni ningún detalle que acompañara la propuesta festiva, algo que otros restaurantes del mismo nivel sí ofrecen en estas fechas. Me fui con la sensación de haber sido estafado. No volvería a ir, y mucho menos en una fecha especial como Año Nuevo.

I would give zero stars if that would be an option. I just left Xhuba after more then 1,5 hrs of waiting. I had ordered a salad with tuna, explicitely without peanuts as I have an allergy. The waiter explained several times that the „nuez“ in the salad are not peanuts anyway, so no need to worry. My drink came after 45 min - only a glass of and not a jarra as I had ordered it. It asked it to be replaced. It took 1:15 for my salad to be served - and guess what - with peanuts! The same happened to me here last season and I really can’t believe it how unprofessional and reckless they are with serious, repeated requests around allergies. I asked to get a new salad and kept on waiting. After 1,5 hrs they served the jarra with the drink - but the wrong one. No food yet. No drink. Really poor!!! This is the last time that I visited this place and I really cannot warn you enough if you have any allergies and don’t want to risk your health. And by the way- the restaurant was empty. Sitting now at El Alquimista, world class service and 100% quality and safety for the amazing food they serve.
