This strip mall restaurant has amazing homemade corn tortillas. I had a caldo de pollo that was delicious. Authentic.
Delicious Authentic Mexican Food!! Enough said. 😄😋
I’ve been coming here every single weekend for the last 8 years. Hands down it is my absolute favorite authentic Mexican restaurant.
Nice vibe I recommend the dj they have on Saturdays puts a good songs!
Stopped by for lunch and noticed how nice everyone was. The restaurant was well maintained, clean, with lots of Mexican decorations all around. My food was served by an older gentleman whom I quickly asked if he cooked this appetizing meal. He assured me he did and if there was anything he could get me. He later came back to check on me to make sure I was ok and had everything I needed. Come to find out that older man was not only the cook but the owner as well. Man works hard and serves authentic Mexican food. I highly recommend anyone come out and try it. Try the Horchata, it was tasty and refreshing on a hot summer day!
The salsa alone will have me coming back. Served warm and has a good kick. The quesadilla was delicious as well. Open until 1 am Friday through Sunday and 11 pm the rest of the week. Open late. Definitely give this place a try if you’re nearby.
If you want to leave the US and actually taste real Mexican food made by a family-operated restaurant, then I totally recommend this place. The food was delicious and the service workers were very kind (they speak mostly Spanish, and a little English, but they're not trying to change themselves for a whiter demographic, they primarily serve fellow latinos). But overall, if you speak a bit of Spanish and want good food for a good price (their prices are on par if not a little cheaper than other mainstream locations, ok? They need to make money too), then go ahead and help them out by enjoying what they have to offer. Also, they're currently (as of 06/23/2024) hiring for a server position, based on what we saw, I can't imagine it would be a lot, but if you desperately need money, a job is a job).
The wait staff were wonderful! The atmosphere is very authentic, as well as the food. Great prices for the size and quality of plates. Most of the staff are not very fluent in English in my experience, so a bit of a work around may be in order. (Please do not be rude to the staff because of this. When we were in someone accausted the waitress over a misunderstanding.) Their salsa is wonderful!
Great food, especially the tacos. Everytime I'm in Dallas I eat here 3 or 4 times. They have great salsa and the tortillas beat every Restaraunt around. I'm from the Mexico border and this food is way better. The waitresses speak mostly Spanish but have no issue with English speakers such as myself. Overall this food is great, I have had no issues with the service like others have mentioned and I have eaten here I guarantee more times than they have. I would and do recommend this place to friends and family.
Very cozy Mexican restaurant, clean and well decorated. I only got the Sopa but for 3.75 it was very good. Their red sauce is the best I've had from any Mexican restaurant so far.
The waitress was great and made our experience worth it. There were a few items we wanted to try and they were completely out of them which was a bummer, either than that whatever we ate we completely enjoyed. Let me preface by saying that a was a random Wednesday day night, so I understood the lack of ingredients.
OK I ordered 2 beef Tacos , I figured it would come with Lettuce, tomatoes and whatever and the cashier never asked me if I would like anything on my Tacos, charged 6 dollars for 2 miniature Tacos where the the Beef was little cubes weren't even hot I live maybe 8 minutes away and my meal was cold when I made it home this restaurant will not get visted again, no Thank You!!!
First time there. Chips were very crispy, which was nice but tasted 'old' as the oil needed to be changed badly. Both of my grown sons, who bought lunch, did not like the food. My enchilada plate was good.
Place an order to go in is over pricing I buy a torta that was nasty. I lost my money because I’m throwing it I am not recommending because they change the Quality Meat.
Walked in, no one greeted us I had to ask if we could sit anywhere. There were only two people dining at the time so it’s not like she was busy. We had to wait to get our drink order. The restrooms were the reason we decided to leave. The place looks suspect to begin with but bad service and a dirty restroom where you can’t even wash your hands and it was smelly was a major NO. This is NOT a family place I would recommend going elsewhere.
She said she had to give me rotten lemons bc they had already paid for them and they were too expensive lol. Also the salsa was frozen, she said yeah that’s how we do it . I asked her why even put the lemons in the small side container they served me my 3 tacos in. Couldn’t even get a normal size plate, shrimp is not whole and sliced into mini pieces if you order that taco. I ordered a torta they put no veggies had to come back and have hem finish it. Place is surrounded by drug addicts Feels very unsafe. I ordered lengua tacos and my whole order was cold
After a good time contemplating dropping by, we finally we stopped to try it out. We decided to order to go. My wife ordered the Gordita plate and I got a cubana torta. First impression upon opening our food: What the FK is this? Absolutely nothing as reviews state. The food was no where good. The Torta had I slice of ham 2 pieces of sausage and old pice of breaded milanesa meat, The gorditas barely had meat, they charge me $.25 c extra for fajita meat, we paid $35.00. Not to mention a SERVICE FEE of 15% on a TO GO Order??!?!? Not even in the Hospitality Industry they charge 15% service fee. When I asked about the Service Fee, the attendant said that owner adds this extra fee to every order no matter how big or small the order is. I am very interested in obtaining a response from the owner with a poor excuse. Stay aware this place, believe the food is not all that. The food was cooked and poorly made.
Horrible customer service. No one spoke any English. We ordered to go, had to explain it multiple times, and order was still incorrect. We asked for the chicken quesadilla only, no sides, and we still got the whole dinner. We asked for fajitas, didn't get any cheese. We asked for a pint of hot sauce, got charged for a tiny cup. Upon arriving home and calling to speak to management, the lady running the register said no and hung up on us. Basically if you don't speak Spanish, ordering here is going to be extremely difficult. Reporting to the BBB as well for being denied a manager.
Ordered chicken tortilla soup I got avocado soup! I took the advocados out I was at the bottom of the cup. I ordered a bowl received a cup! Server was great. She brought me another cup but it was half full and there was no chicken in my chicken tortilla soup. She said she was going to have the manager come and talk to me Never happened First time and my last !!!! I wouldn’t recommend anything here
