The moment I stepped into this brewery, it felt special. Mia and Cody are incredible!!!Delicious food, unbeatable vibe, and top-notch brews. But what truly stands out is their honesty. Losing my wallet could’ve ruined my night, but the staff found and returned it, making my experience unforgettable. This place is a gem. I keep coming back. Highly recommend for the great atmosphere and integrity. A solid 5-star spot!
Have you ever walked into a brewery on a Monday and you're the only person when they first open and wondered maybe this is bad!? Well this was me but everything quickly reminded nope, you're exactly where you should be! Thank you for the wonderful beer, conversation, and recommendations for my last day in Dallas. Cannot wait to come back!
We drove in from Tulsa for a show and decided to make this our first stop on a brewery tour of Dallas. Turns out, I just kept coming back to this same brewery! The beer was superb, exactly what you’re expecting, just great quality beer masterfully made. The staff and owner were all so welcoming and great to talk to, their reputation is well earned! I highly encourage you to make this a must stop spot on your list, or even for a drink after dinner, you won’t be disappointed.
Variety of beer styles, loved Darker Shade of Ellum. Lots of seating, nice acoustics with a wood ceiling so not echo-y. The music hit right too.
Great beer, but their Westlake cidar is a wonderful crisp refreshing drink. Great flatbread pizza and super smooth hummus.
We loved the beers here, nice open space, clean and our bartender, John, was awesome! They serve snacks, but we just went in for the drinks, so no opinion there. They have a bunch of events going on during the week/weekend and they support the local community. I definitely recommend a visit!
Venue was excellent for our company event. The staff were attentive and the beer selection was top-notch. A thoroughly enjoyable experience; highly recommend!
This is a pretty big space. Lots of picnic tables inside and a big patio area. It was too hot to sit outside when I visited but plenty of space inside. The flatbread I had was delicious. It was the sausage and pesto. I would get it again if I’m not trying something else. It’s some apps and flatbreads mostly. I had a few of their beers either in a pint or a sample. Their beers are well executed, from their delicious and complex hazy IPAs, the surprisingly light yet chocolaty porter, to the refreshing blond ale. All well done. The bartenders were friendly and helpful. There were dogs to pet. And everyone was nice. I’ll definitely be back.
Pretty hip cool brewery. They have a bar selection of different beers. The decor is nice as well. The establishment have a very open floor plan. They have a few TVs and they have games to keep the fun going. They also have tours upon request. I highly recommend going here. The beers were about $6-8 dollars. The prices are really reasonable.
Really fun brewery with excellent beers! Ray was my bartender and super friendly. He gave me some great recommendations on beers and other places around Deep Ellum. Also got to meet the head brewer, Peter, who took the time to chat with me about their setup and future plans. Thanks guys!!
I recommend this place every chance I get. I've been coming here for five years and still my favorite. Beer is consistent and tasty. Art does a great job and created a friendly joint. Try the Rainout!
I was at Westlake Brewing Company for a private event. The venue was nice, the beers were great and the food was delicious. Staff were friendly too.
Great ambiance and beer. Service is smooth and pleasant. Food is ok. TVs are a bit small to watch sports. Parking is limited.
Fun craft brewery. They have lots of variety. Plenty of room to hang out and enjoy the beers. Great patio area outside if you want to enjoy the sunshine and the views. They have the standards like games.
Went here with a couple friends. Service was great. The food is really good. Very spacious place and they have games to place. The beers were pretty good I recommend the Rainout Hazy with your big on IPA
We had so much fun! We each got a flight and a beer, with pizza and wings. Came Friday afternoon and there was only one other group there so we had the place to ourselves. The cashier/beer Attendant was so sweet, I wish I got his name (a brunette with a beard). There were quite a few games here to play, so you can go and relax and have fun. We spent almost two hours here. I am not a beer drinker, so I liked that you can do a flight for $12 to try four out before committing to a full pour. I liked the house cider the best. I would come back with friends even if they do not drink since the food was delicious. Highly recommend.
This place is spot on - great brewery tap room with plenty of space, good beer and friendly staff. A bit of a treck from the main Dallas area but certainly worth it. Would definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area!
Stopped by a couple weeks back on Sunday noon with the family and we have a good time. It was a little slow but we didn't mind it, we were playing board games and watching the football games and had a great time. Beer was pretty good, my favorite was the pils with some coffee in it. Wish I could have gotten a pack to go! Will be back when I'm in the area! The food was very reasonably priced and was tasty! Got some pretzel bites and pretzels!
Super impressive experience. Ray at the bar was great. Very reasonable prices. This was hands down the BEST southern beer I've had. (keep in mind most Southern craft beer has nothing on other areas of the country, but Westlake is legit). Strong, but smooth and tasty beers. $8 for a flight. They allow you to bring in your own food. Nice patio.
This is a nice brewery with a nice atmosphere! We went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't busy. There are some bar food options to eat. They have a good variety of types of beers too!
This beer is unquestionably the best in the area, thanks to the owner's expertise and local production methods. During our visit, the owner personally guided us through the facilities, explaining the intricacies of developing special formulas. We particularly enjoyed the Chocochela, which will likely appeal to Guinness and maltzbeer enthusiasts. The experience was further enhanced by the opportunity to taste exclusive, pre-release brews that exceeded expectations.
First time here and I tried a few beers. I had their Super Dry and one of their hazys. I thought both were good and would order them again. I was there on a Sunday afternoon and it was not too crowded. It’s a pretty big, airy space. They have a few TV for sports. They have an outdoor patio area too. I see that they are looking to expand the business and as of November 2025 you can invest in their business on WeFunder.
Bike friendly, good beer, nice place. I like the Darker Shade of Ellum beer. Friends said they liked Leg Day but tried other beers. They have soft drinks if any friends dont want more alcohol.
One of the better breweries in Deep Ellum. Good beer selection and friendly staff. Parking is a little difficult due to the construction taking place, but hopefully that will finish soon.
My wife and I have a tradition of visiting a brewery, distillery, or winery every time we visit a new city. We ended up going to the Westlake Brewing Company and had an amazing time. We went on a rainy Tuesday afternoon and there weren't many people there. It provided a quiet and relaxing environment that let us enjoy the delicious beers we decided to try. The person serving the beers was extremely attentive, helpful, and provided us with excellent service. We ordered a flight each to try out some beers. The Super Dry, Shaved Ice, Rye So Amber, and Blond Coyote were all great. We also ordered the enormous pretzel with the beer cheese. The pretzel was great and paired well with the beers. There is an affordable parking lot right behind the brewery where you can pay to park. This is a great brewery that is making some really good beer. If we ever come back to the area, we would love to come back and visit so we can try some of the other styles.

Great staff, good beer, and a cool atmosphere. The blackberry mead was a favorite for me. Highly recommend this place! Ariel was so friendly and knowledgeable.

Place is great. The beer is good. The atmosphere is good and the service is better. Worth checking out

Stopped in here while on an extended layover in Dallas. The beer was great, the staff and clientele were extremely friendly and welcoming. Definitely check them out if you’re in the neighborhood!
My husband and I made a fantastic pit stop at Westlake Brewing last weekend during our drive from Houston to Denver, and it was the absolute highlight of that trip. This spot perfectly blends quality craft beer with genuine, warm hospitality. They offer an impressive diversity of styles. We tried several of them, and they were great. They even offer mead, which proves they truly have something for everyone. While the quality of the beer and food was high, the service was truly outstanding. The atmosphere was welcoming, and we especially appreciated that they are dog-friendly! The lovely bartender (whose name I wish I could remember!) was incredibly sweet to our dog, Tina, and made sure we felt comfortable and engaged in conversation. It turned a simple stopover into a genuinely memorable experience. If you are passing through Dallas or are a local looking for a brewery with great beer, excellent food, and service that goes above and beyond, make Westlake Brewing Company your stop. We will absolutely be back when Google Maps takes us through Dallas again!

Westlake Brewing is a wonderful oasis in the otherwise hectic area of Deep Ellum. The beers are crisp and refreshing, and definitely lean towards spring and summer flavors. The tripel is a standout. The brewery itself is really, really clean and even smells nice. Sometimes they even bake cookies in house! The staff is friendly, which I know is a compliment that gets tossed around, but this staff is actually very friendly. Do stop in. It's a solid brewery.
As breweries go this one rates among one of the best I've been at in terms of offerings and flavor of their crafts and choices and tastes of their food. Loved all but one in my flight as well as one of the few beers I've graded above a 4.5 on Untapped. Had a pretzel braut that was outstanding. Only thing lacking was a larger outdoor area, but not sure you can really expect that in downtown Dallas. Not sure I'd want to be in this area of town at night. I've heard it's kind of rough, but we love the place and will definitely be back. Oh, and John, the bartender, was a really cook dude. Very unique individual with a great sense of humor.
It is shocking that it took me so long to visit this brewery in Deep Ellum. The space was nice and spacious so I can see the appeal in the area. But the beers were unremarkable. The bartender was friendly so I ultimately went with a 4*. I almost went 3, but it felt unfair, even though the 4.9 avg rating is wild to me
We decided to check this place out because it was walking distance from our hotel, and they were dog friendly so we were able to bring our pup with us. We do appreciate that they allow dogs inside as well because it was a little too hot for him to hang outside. They were even kind enough to bring some water for him. My husband and I shared a beer flight, and a couple of items off their food menu. Beer Flight - Hoppy Lager: Crisp and refreshing lager made with noble hops. - Super Dry: Japanese Style ale with a light body and dry crisp finish. (My husband’s personal favorite). - Instant Guavafication: A blonde ale, loaded up with all the guava. (Our least favorite, lacked in the guava department). - West Cide Cider: House made from a blend of Michigan apple and pear juice. (My personal favorite). Shareable Plates - Giant Pretzel: Soft and made perfectly, most brewery/pubs have pretty dry and hard pretzels, so we actually enjoyed this. The Beer Cheese on the other hand, we haven’t found a place to make it right. The one here was too thick, and a little difficult to get the cheese to stay on the pretzel. - Sausage Pesto Flatbread: The star of the our evening. - Buffalo Baked Chicken Wings: Tender and just okay. Nothing to brag about. Honestly, it’s a cool place to hang out and enjoy a few drinks and light snacks.
Really nice brewery. Plenty of room inside and out. Enjoy the food and the beer. The kids enjoyed the pizza. Will definitely go back again next time in Dallas.
