Best double cheeseburger ever! I stopped for the “pies” because I’ve heard how wonderful and tasty they are. (And pick up Route 66 souvenirs) just from seeing what other diners ordered you can see all the food is good! I literally was made to feel that my burger was created and made personally for me! Thick, juicy beef, the perfect bun and beef that tasted like actual beef, not filler or dry/over cooked. Prepared/served by wonderful people welcoming and making you feel at home! Nice ambiance, plenty of items in the gift shop and a good place to take a break from the road!

Personally, this was my favorite diner from all route 66. Its vibe is unique and takes you in the past with a sweet nostalgia. Just because of its location you must visit it. Inside you can admire many, many vintage objects. I highly recommend to order a bottle of Coke with a smooth and creamy Peanut Butter Chocolate pie, it’s heaven on Earth. Also the souvenir shop is really nice and maybe you can buy something.

The clerk was very enthusiastic and kindly told us that the burger was very big. She also introduced us to nearby attractions. The burger was really big and the pie was very delicious. I recommend the chocolate peanut butter banana pie.

Had read so much about Midpoint and seen so many pictures on line, I was really looking forward to this visit. The service was great and the food was excellent. Really appreciate the patience the server had with my two picky, rambunctious children! The Route 66 burger and pecan pie is highly recommended by me!

Great food and service. The pie was delicious! My only complaint is they need more side options. Potato salad (with onion) and odd chip choices are okay but you need something else.

This is one of the best places to get a hamburger, my 3rd or 4th time I’ve stopped here traveling thru and it’s always delicious. Home made pies are the bomb. Brenda the owner is fantastic and the waitress was really really sweet. I ate half of my sandwich before I remembered to take a picture, then I did the same thing with my pie. Sorry, but to good not to post. The coconut cream was my sister pie. I had the pecan.

Such a great way to celebrate the midpoint of route 66. The cafe is full of route 66 memorabilia and the staff all make you feel incredibly welcome. A must-see stop for any route 66 goers!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. My wife, son, and I ordered Midway Burgers our ways, and we loved them. Juicy and flavorful burgers with fresh vegetable toppings. For dessert, my wife ate the Peach Cobbler and said it was the very best she had ever had. My son ordered the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie and loved each and every bite. I ordered the Apple Chile Pie. It was a delicious apple pie with the perfect amount of green chile to add some depth and heat. Absolutely delicious. We walked through the gift shop and loved the large selection of souvenirs.

Stopped by on a Tuesday and they were closed. But that was okay! Still great to Check out the Midpoint of Rt 66! We walked over to the Dream Maker next door and had a great talk with the owner! They have a nice gift shop! Definitely stop in!

We enjoyed an old diner lunch at the old Midpoint Cafe on Route 66! As senior citizens, it was like a walk back in time! We had burgers that had to have been a half pound with all the fixings, chips, cobbler, and soda. It has a gift shop too for souvenirs!

Great small town cafe where everyone knows each other. Hugs, warm greetings, and stories. Small menu but everything is homemade and delicious. Couldn't resist bringing a pie home. Name comes from being the midpoint of Route 66. Right off Highway 40 but not easily seen.

The very best burger and peach cobbler I've had. The owner was as sweet as her peach cobbler. I mean, she was genuinely nice, not nice because she had to be. Very rare these days. Do not pass this place up. I highly recommend.

An electric atmosphere. We met all kinds of people there. Even a couple from Sweden! Order the pie it’s delicious. Lots of groups stop by. Be careful going across the street to the Midpoint Sign. Sometimes it’s very busy on a weekday with working truckers and farmers.

We were passing and stopped to take some photos when Brenda, the owner, welcomed us inside despite closing 90 minutes earlier. What a star she is. She served us pie and water and hugged us both. Great dining experience. The breakfast was delicious. The loaded hashbrowns are over the top with the green chili's. The menu is limited choices. Call Ahead to make sure kitchen is open, because they are currently short staffed. Though the server was busy but positively interactive with each table. The experience was wonderful. The atmosphere is Retro Vintage including the tables. The building was the inspiration to the building V8 Cafe in the movie Cars. Gift Shop attached. The location is the Midpoint between Santa Monica, CA and Chicago, IL, on the Old Route 66, Mother Road.

What just happened??? We ordered a blueberry banana piece of pie to go (after eating a really good grilled cheese in the restaurant) and ate it in the car. That was THE BEST PIE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE 🤯 I wish I had bought a whole one!! The waitress was very nice and friendly. Food arrived quickly. The menu is very simple. Not a lot of choices. You’re in a very small town with a very small staff. Please be understanding. The food is excellent and the pie is absolutely unbelievable!! It’s worth the stop The restaurant itself is adorable. It’s a step back in time to a visually stimulating era. I loved all of it. A customer had a birthday and the entire restaurant sang happy birthday 🥹🥰 The “vibe” here is wonderful The gift shop is full of great merchandise! I found a tin photograph of Cadillac Ranch for $15! I bought it and headed straight to the real location to see it in person. Now I have a keepsake that would not be available at the actual site This place had been on my list of places to go for years. I grew up in Holbrook. Both have history rich in Route 66 and were brought to life in the movie Cars. If you drive around town there are funny signs everywhere. It’s a tiny beautiful community. It would take 15 minutes top and be part of this wonderful experience you will never forget!!

This is a wonderful establishment and a must stop along Route 66 for good food, service and history !!! The food is cooked fresh and the pies are just delightful. There is a small gift shop with a variety of Route66 memorabilia to choose from. I cannot say enough good things about the food and the two wonderful ladies that work so very hard to make your experience a great one !!!

Called like that because it is at the midpoint of route 66 between Los Angeles and Chicago, this is a classic retro diner, where you get real burgers, prepared after you order... and wait for your food like any other food restaurant. Classic in its atmosphere and setting, this is great place to stop and have a bite while on the road.

Visited Midpoint Cafe recently and had a delightful experience. The food was absolutely delicious. The burgers were fantastic, the BLT was incredibly tasty, and the ice cream was a big hit. The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is due to the overwhelming number of flies, which was a bit of a nuisance. Despite that, we'd definitely return if we're in the area on I-40. Overall, a great spot to stop for a meal. Also, my wife wanted to add, the women’s restroom was impeccable!

The building and atmosphere is good with most customers getting on as they tend to be travelling the Route 66 highway. It is decorated well with numerous Route 66 / historic diner materials including a unique collection of licence plates from many states. The food is good too, perhaps particularly the dessert pies (our first chance to sample really good US pies. The staff were very welcoming, but service was a little haphazard - I believe they had had a busy morning/early lunch. It wasnt a problem, helped us relax and we weren't seeking to cover too many miles that day!
