El Rincón de Antonio is known for its pupusas, especially on Thursdays when they are discounted. Many praise the fresh, authentic Salvadoran food and the family-owned atmosphere. However, slow service and order inaccuracies are recurring issues, with some mentioning long wait times and missing items.

Thursdays pupusas are 1.00 so be sure to order ahead of time they do get busy. Try the fruite salad drink its the best.
We heard they had great pupusas! They did not disappoint.
Came here while on a trip in Houston. While I will always say my mom’s kitchen is the best for Salvadoran food, this place met my high expectations! It’s got a great mom and pop shop feel similar to other Salvadoran restaurants. They have a small market in the back that took me all the way back to childhood summers in El Salvador. We enjoyed pupusas, empanadas, horchata, & marañon during our visit. Highly recommend their cheese & loroco pupusa!
We go on Thursday.... Their pupusas r very good 👍 we was buy them... they r very busy but if u want ur food 2 eat at home u should call about an hour before that's how busy they r great customer service
We have been eating here for a few years and have never had a problem with food or service. We have had the pupusas, empanadas, caldo de mariscos, tamales, and atole de elote. If you are wanting fast food, then skip it because it can take some time since everything is fresh. Thursdays can be chaotic since most pupusas are $1, so allow an hour to an hour and a half for a call in order during peak times (lunch and dinner). They are fully staffed, but since pupusas are handmade and people call in 20-75 pupusas at a time, there's only so much hand speed. Husband and I truly recommend the caldo de mariscos as it's very tasty, fresh, and full of seafood. Of course, we always have the pupusas as well.
I read lots of reviews that claim that Service takes forever... That is because food is good, they have lots of to-go orders, plus certain hours a day the restaurant is packed full. The restaurant is family owned and operated, they are on top of things with the food quality, but if you go dine-in be patient, you will have to wait for a while before you get your food. Now, if after 12:00 they will serve you chips and salsa to make the waiting easier. Be patient, support small business.
The pupusas were great I just didn't like that the fresh waters for $5 a little expensive for Aguas Frescas if you asked me
The pupusas here are good. On Thursday’s they are $1 each but you need to make sure to call ahead because wait time is 45 mins to 1 hour. I’ve also tried the platano frito and it was good as well.
Good chicharrones but their pupusas are mainly cheese no chicharron. Not to my liking but i know others probably enjoy that. The empanadas de platano were not fresh but it tasted okay. The horchata was pretty expensive and tasted a bit water down. Service was great though and there was a wait.
Bad customer service 😔 coffee ☕ was cold then wen I went to go pay for my food instantly they threw away my left over taco and my coffee ☕ I was drinking for the 9$ I spend on two tacos were the tortillas weren't even fully heated they was soggy and the lettuce 🥬 was on sum parts awready black 👎
I ordered a large chicken soup all I got was a veggie soup with a wing. I told the cashier Elizabeth and she said next time ask for a breast piece. $16.00 for a single wing soup and a drink. A bit disappointed. They should probably let the customer know how the plate comes since their menu doesn’t have pictures or descriptions of the plates.
They don’t answer their phones for you to an order at all but when they actually do they act like they don’t hear you and hang up on you. So either they need their phones fixed or they need a better system of ordering online,to stop with the hanging up. Terrible service last time I dined in I was there waiting a while. while some waiters were just talking to each other they take forever to follow up with you if you need a refill or anything else. It was a stuck up vibe I wouldn’t recommend at all if you want to feel welcomed.
ordered 4 papusas 2 beans, one fajita and one chicharrones. did not get my chicharrones nor fajita papusa. ordered a tamale it was raw mush. not worth it
Disgusting, even though the pupusas are expensive, they are also poorly prepared. 20-40 minutes to prepare 2 sad pupusas. The fruit drink tasted like toilet water.
If I could I would leave 0 stars. Service is horrible. Order was incorrect because they left off 2 items that were ordered.Ordered through phone and when going to pick up order it still was not ready and we arrived about 10 minutes after designated time. Even after arriving and asking for order cashier stood around for 5 minutes talking to co-workers. Not enough slaw and I ordered 22 pupusas. Do not order pupusas with anything other than cheese and beans because if you order anything else it will lack. For example, if you order cheese and fajita there will hardly be any fajita it will be more cheese than anything.
This place appears to be very clean don't know how it is in the back of the house though. I had a very unpleasant experience at this place found a piece of roach antenna in the cabbage mix and it ruined me and my girlfriend's appetite almost ate half the food before the surprise. I then brought this to the waitress attention and she said that it was not a piece of roach antenna I then asked for the manager and he too agreed with his employee then had the nerve to charge me for the pupusas that I ate before I found the roach antenna. Also took more than 40 minutes to bring me my plate of food the flavor was awful not worth the wait you were warned.
if I could I would give this place 0 stars. To start off, I ordered my food on a Thursday when some pupusas are $1 knowing that went ahead and called in my order ahead of time at 11:00 am to have my order for pick up at 12:30pm I arrived at 12:32pm and my order was not ready. At 12:40 I had the girl at the front tell me they had until 12:30 to have my order ready and I was like yes I know and its 12:40 can you check on my order, so she went to the back and never came back. another waitress came @12:50 to give me an order for Marisela and I told her that's not me, I ordered under marlen and she said made her way to the back and started carrying out other orders except mine I waited until 1:00 pm and my order was never brought to me so I had to walk up to the counter to cancel my order because they had my order in but It wasn't ready, and I was on my lunch break so I did not have time to keep on waiting. this my first and last time going to this place. not to mention my other 2 co workers that ordered after me got their food but one of the orders was wrong and the 2nd one her order was right but her pupusas hard hardly any meat it was mainly dough. it was like eating a plain tortilla. so I do not feel like I missed out on anything by them not having my order ready after 2 hours and I defiantly don't feel bad for cancelling my order either
I usually give good reviews but man this place here has really bad service took forever for a refill never checked if we needed anything..i ordered a medium Chile con queso thinking it was specially made like other places but just got Nacho cheese straight out of a can with a little bit of cilantro on top to make it look fancy waste of $5..the food was ok but i definitely do not recommend this place
