Love this place! Such a great deal for what you get. The sashimi has perfect cuts, the brother roll was our favorite. Allso got the bento box with chicken katsu and loved that so much. Will definitely be adding this to the rotation 😊

Came here with my family of 5 to eat and the service was extremely friendly and quick. The food was nothing short of amazing and tasted just like it did when I lived in Japan. They gave us several dishes on the house for us to try! The older lady even saw my younger brother struggling with holding chopsticks so she gave him this special chopstick holder that made it way easier! Next time I come to San Fransisco, I will be coming back. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Great fresh rolls, beautifully plated. I ate alone during a downtime so I could enjoy a meal to the fullest and truly take my time. They have pretty classic selections, you really can't go wrong whatever you choose since the sauces really carry the flavor in everything I tried.

Large menu of your standard Japanese dishes, ranging from rolls to donburi to bentos and udon. Restaurant is peaceful, reasonably priced (several bento combos and lunch specials) and service prompt. Food was good in taste and value.

I love this little cozy space. I think they should have more unique name instead of balboa teriyaki. even hello kitty teriyaki would be better. oh, wait. it's kinda gross. nvm. it was Saturday astound 6:30. there were 2 other tables but not busy at all. at all. AT ALL. but I will put one extra * 'cause those local restaurants usually put a sign says "kids friendly" and I hate it. but this place is as I mentioned earlier, not busy, super cozy and no kids when I was there. I ordered Hawaiian poki salad, beef icon and double hamachi roll. Hawaiian poki salad was excellent. I don't think any traditional Japanese food come with spicy sauce but you can ask how spicy your poki salad is and I asked mild. it was just right spicy. Hawaiian poki salad is excellent there. beef udon was okay. just okay. I think they make broth, not like powder based soup. double hamachi roll was neat and decent. I believe a woman made the sushi roll. if that was the case, I kinda see how the roll made. I mean I don't know the process but my experience, woman chefs make lookin' good dish then man chefs. usually. just usually. my experience. the server was really friendly. light conversation. he didn't cut in our conversation. gay. but deserve one *. total is **** I definitely come back here. recommend.

Frequent customer, and the husband loves it (he's reviewed the place), but I'm just going to stop ordering food from here. The food is okay, but the inclusion of biblical scripture in the to-go bags is a very big turn-off. Heck, Christianity isn't even a native religion to Japan.

Had lunch with the family. Salmon did not taste fresh. tempura was pretty good, batter was light. Chicken teriyaki and beef teriyaki was average. Probably won’t come again. Hot tea tasted like water.
