Best bar in cliffside by far and I've tried them all. Bartenders are absolute sweethearts while being professional, food is fantastic and they're always accommodating to putting on whatever sports game you care to watch. The regulars are friendly but no one feels left out as a newcomer. Best vibe all around. Trivia Tuesday is so much fun!

Recent moved to this area out of necessity, and found this absolute gem of a pub. The owners are the absolute greatest to say the least, bartenders are also charismatic and will make you feel like you belong as soon as they meet you. the regulars are some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met. I can honestly say I’ve never felt more at home being somewhere I don’t even know the street names. The food is great bar eats in an open back kitchen. Great music always playing. If you live in this area this place can easily become your regular place to hang out. It definitely has become mine. Thanks for being so awesome guys!

Great food, great service. Been there a few times and I’m never disappointed. Their burgers are particularly good. They have trivia on Tuesdays, need to check it out one day. Staff is friendly and attentive. Plenty of sports to watch, if that’s your thing, and they’re open late for night owls.

Don't use the music machine. They will override your music choice, leaving you with a bunch of money invested in the music machine. It all goes to waste. Otherwise, a chill vibe. 5 stars cuz they be chill peeps.

I have had many birthday parties for my family members there over the years, and now they only want to celebrate their birthdays at Blackbird. The owner and his wife, set the stage for an outstanding time without exception. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is great, and the Vibe is always just right! The fact that this establishment is a family run business just adds to the specialness of it all! I am very very selective about where I steal a few moments of happiness, and Blackbird Pub is one of my most cherished options! Thank you Mike and Ainara!

The owners are wonderful people with big hearts, and it truly shows in the way they run this place. Karaoke night was such a fun and special experience! Everyone was incredibly kind, respectful, and friendly—people offering chairs, smiling, and making you feel comfortable without even knowing you. That kind of environment is rare and priceless. This is more than just a bar; it’s a community. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be coming back. I am not really big on writing reviews (since the reader can never be sure if they are “real”), but I have to make an exception with the Blackbird Pub and restaurant, in Cliffside Park New Jersey. The moment you walk in the door, you are greeted and made to feel welcome, as if you are an old friend, not a “walk-in”. That high level of attention continues throughout the visit. You literally never have to ask for a beverage re-fill, the staff cheerfully graciously stays one step ahead of you all the time. Regarding the food, The Blackbird offers a nice variety of appetizers, sandwiches, and the like. While I have not tried everything on the menu, I can definitely say that the various hamburger options are all superb, as are the wings, with five varieties of sauces, (hot honey, garlic, barbecue, buffalo, garlic, parmesan, and sweet chili Thai). Prices are reasonable; the crowd is always genial and mellow, and the owner and staff are warm, friendly, and frankly an interesting group of characters with entertaining stories to tell. I highly recommend that you give The Blackbird Pub and Restaurant a try. You will be glad that you did.

Visited here a few years ago and the menu was a bit expensive and they had very pretty bartenders working here. I visit 3 years later and same menu but much moore expensive food and beer is also more expensive. Also now there was men bartenders and no pretty girls anymore, this is a big reason why I think it was more busy.
