Frank's Sports Bar & Grill is a local favorite with a welcoming atmosphere, great service (especially from bartenders like Luis, Vanessa, and Tiffany), and awesome Mexican food from the connected restaurant, Porque No. The vibe is chill, with karaoke, games, and sports on TV.

This is my first time going to Frank's. I was pleasantly surprised at the atmosphere. It's a full-on Mexican restaurant and a full-on sports bar. Really well thought out idea that's done well. I enjoyed the food, I really enjoyed the people that I met there. It seemed like this was the local hangout. It was like I just visited the set of the TV show "Cheers," where everyone knows your name. The food was excellent. Another "must" check out if you happen to be in the area.
Local bar with karaoke, games, and Mexican food. We stumbled upon Frank’s since they open late and it’s such a gem. Bar was filled with locals who were friendly and were great singers. The taqueria had good and quick service. Wish they had more meat options but still tasty especially for being in a bar. We got the shrimp and steak which the shrimp was stand out.
I stopped by on Sunday morning at 11am when they opened and the parking lot was almost full. I think they have about 12-15 parking spots, plus another 3 in front of the bar, and plenty along Marina blvd. The bar itself is pretty spacious inside and they have fans going so its cool. Service is great; the girls that work there are nice and attentive. I came here specifically for the Chilaquiles, which i've never had in the U.S. They serve the chilaquiles with scrambled eggs, so i asked for overeasy. It comes with a very thick, chunky kind of salsa, which was poured over the tortilla chips, with eggs on top, cotija cheese, sour cream and red pickled onion. Its a good dish, but it is a bit spicy. Total for chilaquiles and a large orange juice came to $30.00. I'll definitely be back to try the breakfast burrito.. stay tuned!
Cool new local family owned spot. I came here alone post long hike because I was craving a burger and a beer and it hit the spot. Enjoyed sitting at the bar and people watching while eating my delicious meal.
Awesome.... So Happy that they're open ...!!!! Nice to have our Neighborhood Spot Back .... Excellent Food and Excellent Drinks ....CHEERS...!!!!!
This place is a MUST try. Family or single cozy and private, great service.

This place is awesome!!! The have the best nacho at the food place, try them please literally life changing. The drinks are inexpensive and strong, staff is nice and funny. Has great music always and karaoke Wednesdays are super fun. They put the games on game day and the vibe is super chill. Been a bunch of times never witnessed any drama of fight! Give it a go I’m sure you’ll enjoy it
Decided to check this place out on a Saturday. To order food you order first then sit, which I liked. Ordered a super asada burrito which the wonderful cashier recommended, my boyfriend ordered the lengua super burrito. Both were very delicious. Great customer service here and they also have a bar where you can eat at.
I really like this place! I've only been there during the off-hours, but it's been a great experience. Bar staff is friendly and attentive, the crowd is fun but not rowdy. The noise level is tolerable, they have seriously top shelf tequila! To make it even better, they have an in-house restaurant serving Mexican style breakfast and lunch, and the food is AWESOME! Don't drive by without stopping in.
Frank's Sports Bar and Grill is an awesome place that you have to visit. My guests and I l enjoyed a delicious meal and good time at this venue. It has plenty of parking and is located immediately next to the railroad track off Marina Blvd. My experience started with finding a convenient parking space within its own clean and orderly parking lot. Pride of ownership and management was visible throughout. It had well marked parking spaces with plenty of handicap spaces. Entry was side and welcoming and free of stairs. Depending on which door you enter through, the space inside is cavernous and tables and chairs are well spaced out. Wheelchair using guests will not have any trouble getting around in here. A full and well stocked bar was located at the North end of the building while the kitchen was at the West side. The kitchen turned out to be a, seemingly, seperate business called "Porque no? Tacos." it has a vast menu of food items. Everything we tried was overflowing with flavor and obvious care in its presentation. The chips were thick and perfectly seasoned and their salsas, OMG, they were the bomb (delicious). Everything ordered was delicious just as they arrived. However, because of their amazing salsas, every taste was magnified. You order at the counter and get a numbered marker. The food is brought to your table bring shortly after. The staff was friendly and welcoming both at the bar and the kitchen. We lucked out that night, it was a Wednesday night. As we ate and dranked we learned that the place was having karaoke that night. We stayed for that and joined in. Jose, the KDJ was friendly and welcoming and seemingly able to play anything requested (except explicit song - some families were having dinner). The system used for karaoke was impressive and filled the place with sound without overwhelming it. We could easily enjoy our conversation and those singing without any problems. Bottom line, I highly recommend visiting this place. Wednesday night Karaoke was a blast with a mix of English and Spanish singing crowd. You will likely enjoy it as much as we did. Thanks Frank's.
The food is very good, especially the super taco and the chilaquiles with chorizo. The atmosphere is clean and pleasant with booths on each side and tables in the middle. You order from the board and place your order at the counter and they bring your order to the table.
I have been going to Frank's Bar for many years. I absolutely enjoy my time and food every single time I go there. It is one of the best places to go and watch the games, if you love sports. The restaurant connected to it is Porque No and they have awesome Mexican food. I am never disappointed. One of the owner's Omar is the BEST and always make sure my cousins and I are taken great care of. The Horchata is sooooo good and creamy. It is a must have with the awesome food. I reccomend you get there early on game day though, or you won't have a table. That's how great they are.
Stopped in on Monday before our flight out of Oakland Airport. We ate and had drinks, had wonderful conversations with some gentlemen sitting at the bar. The bartender (Vanessa) she was awesome and made our drinks delicious. Would highly recommend.
Omg I had the best beyond burger protein style right now. Being vegan is hard around here and when you come to a cute a little local bar where you can get a vegan meal and a delicious elder bee martini you feel blessed! And great music!! Oh and the beers on tap are awesome and they rotate them!
I have been coming here for 40 years. Love the upgraded renovations and the new Mexican kitchen. Porque tacos Good food Stella on tap. The only downside no more lottery. I won a lot of money there
Jeanine was our bartender for Superbowl Go Hawks her team she let us know was the Raiders. Me ordering regular soda. But the rest of our group made up for it. Very family friendly had a great time. The 49 fans were very nice as we watched the game. We were in there house. Had fun. Frank a prior owner helped us feel at home.
I went there for my first time today and was so pleasantly surprised. Great food and a big menu. The folks that work there are super attentive and friendly. They all said bye when I left, even the guys in the kitchen! Great prices, lots of seating and several TVs for my ADHD. This will be my new hang out spot for sure. I hope they don't get annoyed with me. 😂😎
I didn't eat there, so I can't comment on the food. Some coworkers and I came here after work one day to have a few drinks. What a loving experience we had. Very nice place with a wonderful atmosphere. The people inside were so friendly and the bartender, Tiffany made us feel right at home. She was prompt and always made sure our glasses were full. If you wanna have a good time meeting new friends while having a drink or two, then you must go to Frank's !!!!

We are from a tiny town in Oregon and Frank’s Sports Bar reminded us of our small bars with a family feel, we were right at home. Our bartender/server Luis was so phenomenal that we assumed he was the owner. The pride he showed in his work was remarkable. The world needs more people like Luis! Thanks for a great experience, we will be letting any family and friends who travel through Oakland know that Frank’s is a must!

Food delicious, bathrooms nice and clean, customer service ok with the exception of Jeanine the bartender she is approachable makes awesome mechiladas ;) they had my favorite football game on... seahawks and we WON! so it made the experience even better. The reason for the 4 stars is because of the service in the food area if I have to get up and go and ask for silverware or something spicy to go with my food and extra napkins to clean my hands after iI eat that delicious burger you loose points with me. So if you are going into Oakland Airport and you are hungry and want to watch sports... Frank's sports bar is highly recommend.

The restaurant portion of this business will shut down while you're standing in line, waiting on a customer that's taking forever at the register, only to tell you they're closed when you're the next person in line and have been standing there for 5+ minutes. That I saw, there were no posted hours and what I saw on the menu screens said they serve till 2 am. The food may be great, but I'll never know. Once in a lifetime type trip to this area (mostly because I'll never come back) and I cant even get a decent taco. I ended up at taco bell for dinner, if you can even call it that.
