Geary Cafe

First time coming here, very cozy spot and a good view of everything around. Got a banh mi and fairly good price, especially with the combo meal, it was super delicious! I also got a mango drink that went really well with the banh mi! Will definitely come back!😊

New hidden gem in San Francisco. Very nice family owned cafe and customer service is good. I got the banh mi and mango smoothie. The mangos were fresh and it was nicely proportioned. I live down the street so am definitely coming back.

Passed by this cafe and loved the atmosphere and drinks. I got the snow jasmine which was refreshing and made quickly. It was a good place to do work as well and I’ll be def coming back!

The service was pretty good. I got my order within 5 minutes of waiting. The interior was pretty nice, looks new. The drink I got (pink lemonade slushy) was sour and it was basically just a block of ice with basically pink food dyed sour water. I ended up throwing half way cause it was too sour. Also all their soda were expired by 3 months.

I ordered a chocolate soy latte. It literally tasted like hot water. No espresso or chocolate flavor at all. I would have been better off going with drip coffee. I just wanted a hot drink while waiting for the bus. I'll have to come back and try sometime else like a milk tea. That seems more in line with their business model. The owners are super nice. Very kind and helpful. The atmosphere is cute and comfortable.

New ownership today (1/24/26) Lady was nice enough with 2 other workers in there and only us. 40+mins for 2 sandwiches and 2 pastries and drinks. Special was advertised on store front to include sandwich, drink, and bag of chips. Ordered the special only to be told drinks aren't included. That the special was "only for students", even though no where on the sign did it say that. She then told us "today is our first day" and tried to tell us the special was not active, despite two huge signs on their windows. She should have told us that 40 mins ago when we ordered! Told 30 minutes into order that no lychee drink was available for the drink. We asked just to make both the same. What came out was entirely different. She gave one drink strawberry, and then we were surprised when she gave us a second drink that looked completely different even though we had asked for the same. Turns out she gave us a lychee drink (that she said she didn't have)! Ordered one chicken banh mi, one beef banh mi. Got two beef banh mi. She asked us to clarify our order several times and it still came out wrong. Be careful sitting next to wall on Geary side - abundant ants going up the wall. Older gentleman making food was coughing and not covering mouth/wearing a mask. Woman used gloves and touched everything, including her phone, while prepping food. Maybe it will be better when they figure the kinks out, but not likely.
