Very patient with us trying to decide what we wanted, and fast service, mango drink with aloe was so refreshing
This is a nice place to chill and enjoy a cute delicious beverage. The ambiance is perf!!!
Creme’ Brûlée on top of jasmine : green tea. Never would have thought of that but it’s my self- care treat.
BOGO all drinks everyday 6-8pm, equal or lesser value
Honestly, one of my favorite boba places in Alameda. Thai tea - amazing. First time I tried brown sugar boba 2 weeks ago was at this location - amazing. And the prices are decent, I've seen complaints about price. They also offer "Buy one get one free" between 6pm-8pm, so that problem is solved for cost. I've read that customer service isn't all that great, but every time I've gone, they've been pretty nice. They ran out of thai tea once, but offered to substitute adding toppings for free, which is super accommodating considering some of the reviews are saying the customer service won't accommodate/are rude. I used to be a barista at Starbucks, so I understand it's like being watched under a magnifying glass and every little thing is being picked apart; but for real, this place is great and fast at making drinks with a nice atritude. 10/10.
Standard boba shop with unique specialty drinks. Tried the London fog brown sugar milk tea, and was very impressed. The brown sugar flavor is delicious, yet doesn’t overpower the earl grey tea. Definitely recommend this spot!
Fun, Fun, Fun! Clean and enjoyably relaxing! Two business services in one! On one side are Delicious Vietnamese Sandwiches and a variety of Food Bowls (I had the Grilled Chicken Bowl~perfectly good), and a? nice selection of tasty snacks. "Excellent" Popcorn Chicken~Nice and Tender, golden brown and perfectly cooked. Delicious Egg Puff Pastry with a variety of flavors~I had the Red Bean mixed into my Egg Puff and it was Heavenly Delicious! ~I'll have the Matcha on my next visit. On the beverage side, I had a Beautful Mango Green Tea, and a very Nice Marble Matcha drink! Nice pop music playing in the cafe. Family and friends fun environment or even if you went to come solo, have a beverage and a snack, handle online work or business, or sit and crochet! Niceness!
Large, bright, clean. I like how they always have new drinks. I've gotten all their keychains and pens before thru the loyalty program. Their banh mi is ok... but they have good popcorn chicken too.
Everyday 6pm~8pm is a happy hour!! Can't go wrong with buy one get one free deal!!! The drinks were fantastic!!!
The boba is perfectly chewy in texture. The staff is really nice and remembers us. Mochi waffles are addictively good.
Great Service first time here and very helpful and explain how it works. Only issue was they didn't have boba... sad face
I give it 5 stars because the service was very fast for me I just had to ask for my tea and they gave it to me in less than 1 minute
Went to this place for the first time with my friend. So first thing. It's so big of location. Love the space. Next there 2 parts to this. The front is for tea and boba. Then to the left of it is good so it's best of both worlds. I got a tora smoothie. With 30 percent sugar. Taste like sugar and it was amazing. Parking there w garage but it's a 3 min walk. But so worth going.
The staff were quick and friendly and we were able to get a free drink from their happy hour special. The drink I ordered was delicious and the boba tasted fresh.
Absolutely the BEST Taro boba smoothie I've ever had at any tea shop. The flavors were.. I guess multi-dimensional is the only way I could describe it. And I loved the colors as well. They also don't put taro bits (pulp) in there, which I really appreciated. And they also put in tons of boba. It was Amazing!! In addition, the staff was wonderful...very sweet and thoughtful. This is definitely my new go-to tea spot!
This place is very good. The drinks had a nice taste to it and it’s very fresh. Having a banh mi store inside gong cha is genius, if I’m ever hungry I can get a banh mi and boba. I’ll definitely coming back!!!
Really good! My favorite -Taro Milk Tea- drink tastes amazing here, with a nice variety of toppings

The popcorn chicken is insane good and a very large portion for the price. It's a bit confusing to get your order as there are two counters and the one that food comes out at is kind of tucked away from where we were sitting so we didn't hear them call our order when it was up. But seriously THAT POPCORN CHICKEN 😋

Outstanding drinks. Sparkling, Smoothies Fruity and teas. You get to order them with or without sugar.
Its opening weekend and we are getting 2 for 1 drinks. Matcha milk tea with red bean was a bit powdery or grainy. Taro was good but you have to like taro. Earl grey was solid but not much different than other place. Wintermelon ended up being the freshest flavor, very clean tasting. Half of the restaurant serves drinks. In the back is a separate register and menu for food. Line are long for now. The tables are bright, shiny and new. Music not too loud and big windows give the space a modern airy feeling. Owner is nice and approachable. Come and try it out.
New boba place on park. Friendly staff, but the drinks were a bit disappointing. I think they are just trying to figure things out still and I expect things to get better. The interior is very clean with some nice tables and their a food place in the same store front that serves full meals which is definitely a plus!
This place is always, always packed for a reason. Not only it is, what it seems, the only place near UCB but it's also super tasty and affordable. Lots of drink options and kind staff, even with a long queue and the hot temperature inside.
They have great drinks, always go during happy hour. And there's always new drinks on offer.
Stopped by for some bobba tea on our way to catch a movie. The place is large with lots of seating. There were two order kiosks, that were a little confusing at first. Got our drinks, had a good time and headed on our way.

The classic gong cha is great here. There’s two different establishments inside. So it’s a little interesting if you want popcorn chicken and boba you go to the different cash register.
Good bubble tea for the price! The balance between quality and price is great, and their happy hour special is an amazing deal(buy one get one free starting at 6 pm, if I recall correctly). The place is clean and there's a lot of seating available. However it is often quite busy with it getting a lot foot traffic from the high school students around lunch time and end of school day on top of being located on a busy street, so wait times can be long for both ordering and receiving the drinks. You can order food from the other restaurant in the shared space at Gong Cha's register but the process is a little tedious and holds up the line a little, I'd personally recommend just ordering separately as the Baguette place typically doesn't have much of a line in comparison.

Low prices, quick service. Not gourmet dining but a good, cheap bite
First impression way to much base in their music. Bad for my ears. Don't know if I will come back. If baquettes food is good then maybe might return.
Great place to go and get boba by yourself or with friends, there's also a Vietnamese restaurant next to it to get food. I would reccomend the Passion Fruit Green Tea, and Lychee Oolong Tea! 👍 Both are really tasty and refreshing. I like coming here with other people during their Buy one Get one promotion from 6-8. The only problem I have is that the music inside can be quite loud, and it's very disturbing while I try to talk to people.
Great drinks. But service is really bad. VERY Slow and unattentive.
Extremely slow in their service! There was four workers and only two customers with for drinks and it took them 20. The workers look like they didn't know what they were doing
The drinks are usually made really well, but it seems like they’re always out of something. I’ve gone at different times of the day when I’m visiting, and every time they’re missing something. This time it was XL cups and crème brûlée topping. I’m not sure what the issue is, but it’s something that needs to be fixed. Also, sometimes the boba tastes old and is hard to chew, which it really shouldn’t be. Also, the drink I received this time tastes really watered down.
I ordered online one cup of Lemon juice w/ white prl and Aiyu, but they forgot to put Aiyu in my drink.

Last time I was here, I ordered a Thai iced tea with boba and it was so watered down. The boba was old & hard. I used to go here a lot but there’s so many other boba places on park street that I are so much more diligent about the drink quality & customer experience.
The fresh milk black tea tasted artificial and not fresh at all. The boba texture and taste was good but the rest of the drink tasted fake and like licorice.
I love the Gong Cha brand. Drink selection is great but I'm still disenchanted with this particular branch because of the service. The first few times I figured they were still new and learning but each time I go it's the same feeling. This last time an older lady was at the counter and she was practically scowling at people. So unfriendly. Sharetea at Alameda landing has a much better atmosphere and vibe. Also they put less ice in there so it's a more satisfying experience overall.

I went there a couple months ago, I meant to review sooner. Well.... I saw they were new on the block, walked by to look at the menu and decided if I wanted to come back after my walk. Thot the price was good, so came back and ordered one of their bowls, I got the pork bowl with veggies. So it was piping hot mixed frozen veggies - straight on of the microwave, I thot, ok I can deal with that, to top it off the pork was a big mangled looking piece, that looked like it was boiled, which I had to chew thru it and separate the fat and gristle. It was horrible- no love. Oh I forgot also- when I arrived I saw all the empty tables had stuff people left after eating, and grease. I asked the girls at the counter if someone could please clean some tables. They have no idea- they are just there thinking they're there to hang out and have fun. Who's their manager?
Went to the shop @1045 to check it out and get some drinks, customers sitting and the door is wide open but we were told that they are closed, i asked them it says 1100 and we got 15 minutes to closing but they acted like they dnt speak english..... wanted to try them out but i guess never coming here again
Still requires masks to be worn despite vaccination or county guidance. Doesn’t even provide disposable masks to people willing to be compliant with the silly mask rule.
My teen loves Boba drinks and cheese sticks and frequents this store often. Today he couldn’t get his food because he was short a penny…. A PENNY! The cashier told him he was short a penny and canceled his order. They should probably get a penny dish so they aren’t turning away loyal, hungry customers because of $0.01.
Oil is old with bad aftertaste. Rice bowl was made of frozen veggies and pork flavor was pretty bland. We were really looking forward to a brand new Asian foodie place but feel way short of our expectations. Egg puff flavor was one of the worst. Bummed and will not come back again. As much as we are not the biggest fan of T4, it's unfortunately still the relatively best Asian dessert place in Alameda. Need more options.

Tried calling to see if an item was in stock. Did not answer phone. Claimed it was broken and had been for a while? And why is it still broken? Did not have anything i was looking for. And were not going to be restocking. Items dropped yesterday. Drove there, fought for parking and wasted my time, all because they cannot fix their phone.
Never coming back Drink was really watered down even though I did 100% He try to do 50 % Don’t know why these boba places rationing powder. Like bro it’s just sugar and water and they cutting corners. Cashier couldn’t understand my question and didn’t put in my rewards number Told me I should’ve him at the start Like I did but you couldn’t answer my question probably Whatever. Never coming back to a gong cha again
Called in an order at 7:45pm. They said they have a happy hour deal buy one get one free but only if you come in person before they close at 8pm. I said great. Showed up at 7:56pm, the door is locked. They tell me they’re closed then realize it’s not 8pm but then say they have no more tea. I understand what’s it’s like to be on a closing shift but closing early and lying to customers is not professional. I hope the manager of this store can hopefully train their shift leads (Monday 8/23/22) to not close before their posted closing times. Disappointing as they told me show up before 8pm and I did.
Bad service. I came to order calamari Togo and it took them a while to make my food. It was understandable the waiting time. I had my drink from the store next door with me and they told me I couldn't bring my drink with me into their store after collected my money. The girl was mean and not understand business. If I sit there eating the calamari and drank other store's drinks, I would be under why they didn't allow. However, I was waiting for my order to take away and they gave me attitude. No wonder the rating is only 3 stars. Need to train that employee again.
Horrible experience. I come here all the time and order the same thing. Today they put milk in my tea which I never order. When I told them the order was wrong, they refused to make me a new one, said it was my fault, and when I asked for a refund, had to call the manager a second time. After wasting 20 minutes of my time they refunded me the drink. They say their store policy is to not remake drinks after you confirm the order on the screen, yet use unclear acronyms like “MT” to mean milk instead of literally just saying “milk” on the screen. After being a loyal customer and being treated like this I’m never coming back. Thanks for the excellent customer service on a freaking $5 beverage
Customer service gets a 0 out of 5 stars. Since this has happened a few times now for me and my family when we went in evening, I am forced to write this review. They are rude, unfriendly, and simply devoid of any human empathy aspect. No smile or pleasantries. No greetings. I have many diverse friends and am well travelled. I know how asian are reserved and some treat that as unfriendly. Trust me that's not what's happening here. I would not go there again to feel as if I didn't belong there or that it was my honor to be served by them and I am not wanted there. The tea itself is fine. Gets 4 out of 5 stars. But overall it was a bad experience.
