Stopped here for a dinner. Saw this restaurant on a sf best burger list so I had to stop by. I was not disappointed at all! Burger was delicious, loved the pickle and onions as toppings. Plus the cheese and two patties, it was full meal! Ordered and brought out from the kitchen quickly as well. A fun bar to get a good bite to eat, I highly recommend stopping here for a burger.

Had lunch here with my family before going to the Exploratorium. My wife and I ordered the meat balls sandwich and burger. The meat balls were particularly tasty! The burger was nice too with a double patty. They recently remodelled the interior and has a stylish sports bar vibe to it.

Stopped in to try the burger on the recommendation of a friend and I wasn't at all disappointed. Double Decker smash patties, cheddar cheese, grilled onions, shredduce, surprisingly briny pickles and a tart aioli on a soft bun that somehow held up to all the greasy goodness. It came with shoestring fries that were salted well (ask for a side of lemon aioli to dip them in) and I'm not even a French fry guy but they were delicious Fantastic selection of beers and spirits and well appointed decor. Gabriel greeted me warmly the moment I sat down and made me feel very welcome while giving me a brief rundown on the business' history. Great brand ambassador of I ever met one. Definitely come give these guys a try. I'll be back this weekend to try the pizza Gabriel suggested.

Nobody in the party was grumpy after eating here—wonderful food and service. I got the buttermilk chicken sandwich, which was perfect; we shared a Caesar salad, also perfect.

This place is the best in the area. Bartenders are always friendly and the food is great. I ordered the French burger that comes with blue cheese and bacon and asked for it over a salad for a low carb keto version and it is DELICIOUS definitely recommend.

Went for the first time tonight after having an evening with my friends at the exploratorium… can’t recommend this place enough! The vibe was beyond perfect, the food was amazing, their wine selection was perfect and the staff was divine. We had picked this place at random and within 10 minutes we knew it was a new “regular” hang for us. I can’t wait to go back ❤️

We wanted somewhere to eat after leaving the Exploratorium. I wasn't sure that Grumpy's was appropriate for kids (my grandkids and two of their friends were with us), but it was GREAT. There were 7 of us, and even though the restaurant was very busy, they moved things around so we could sit inside. Service was very friendly, and food was great. We had pizza, burger, soup, focaccia, lemonade and chocolate chip cookies. Everything was excellent. Very happy that we found this place and hope to return soon.

Beautiful bar that looks like it’s been there forever. I had the pizza and salad combo. Delicious! The Caesar salad was made to order, and the pizza of the day had a beautiful crust.

Upscale pub with outdoor seating, small menu, and neighborhood prices. Everything I tried was well executed and tasty. Staff is incredibly accommodating and makes you feel like family. Hats off to them, very nice job. Can’t wait to return!

Grumpy's is a good mix of old-timey local bar and modern gastropub. Drinks were stiff with generous pours, just the way a local dive should be. The food menu is definitely bar food/pub fare but everything was done very well - everything we ordered was fresh and tasty and nothing was overly greasy or heavy the way you assume some bar food will be. Great place to eat and drink.

Very fond memories about our experience at Grumpy’s. The food was excellent, and the signature burger - absolutely outstanding. The staff were friendly, patient, and very accommodating with our large group. Great service and a relaxed atmosphere – highly recommended!

My husband and I were looking for a place to eat close to the Exploratorium, what a lucky find for us. My husband had the meatball sandwich and I had the buttermilk chicken sandwich, both were excellent! I also had the fennel soup, it was seasoned so well and delicious!

It is what the description says... a public that offers good homemade pizza and the typical pub fare. Pizza was good. Pitchers are priced at $30... which is decent for SF prices. If you are in the Levi Plaza area it is a nice watering hole.

Great burgers, but it's a small place, so seating is tight.

Wings were ok good crunch jus needed more seasoning 🤤 would have been perfect... Fries had jus garlic chopped and thrown on top like come on mannnn saute the garlic n then some cheese 🧀 on top with the Parmesan... The server/bar tender was amazing cool as dude personally he made the night ty again for last min stop 😁 oh and my drink 🍷 was amazing 😍
