I ate here a few times during my stay at The Jay, and the service is excellent! The staff is very kind and attentive. My regular waitress Kathy took good care of me, and made sure I was well caffeinated (excellent lattes) for my work trip. The duck soup has one of the best broths I’ve had in a long time. I also really enjoyed the fried quail and croquettes. And the lounge is a beautiful space to spend time between meetings.
This is easily one of the most unique and inviting spots I’ve encountered. The staff strikes the perfect balance between professional and genuinely warm, making us feel right at home. Between the cozy patio fireplaces and the chic, modern lounge seating, the ambiance is unmatched. The handcrafted espresso martini was a standout, and the food was truly top-tier. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip to town.
Beautifully designed space and a great happy hour for drinks and fries! They have so many cozy spots to sit and enjoy and seasonally they open the outdoor patio. I hope to be back for their brunch offerings and outdoor vibes if they expand their vegetarian offerings but if they don’t, I’d still come back for a happy hour espresso martini!
Hands down the best service from our host Rafael to start the new year. He was very friendly and professional. We made reservations for their brunch offering at 2pm and little did we know that the kitchen closes at 2:30pm. So when we arrived, Rafael explained in detail everything to us to ensure we made the most of our brunch experience. They close and prep the kitchen for their dinner offerings starting at 5pm but he said we can stay in the dinning room area for as long as would like. Our entire party was not there yet however he seated us and explained to us that as long as we get orders in before 2:30pm he will get our food out to us. So we placed some drink and food orders and texted our on the way party the menu so they can put an order in too. Rafael never rushed us and was so polite. His service is what stood out during our brunch experience. For the food we ordered: The burgers and fries which were really juicy. Little gems salad was very tasty. Pork belly eggs Benedict was ok. I bet if the pork belly was a whole piece rather than chopped up it would have been better. That came with crispy potatoes. The French toast and omakase were ok. Small portions for the black cod but overall can see the dish to be filling. Wanted more cod. Can’t wait to go back to experience the outdoor seating. Overall outstanding service.
I found a little gem! The food is fresh and absolutely delicious — I had a salad and a mushroom omelet, and everything was perfect. The coffee is also excellent; they use beans from Equator Coffee Company, which really takes things to the next level. What really stood out to me was the atmosphere and design. The space is modern, with lots of thoughtful details. Light wood adds a cozy touch, and the big windows bring in so much natural light — it feels bright and welcoming. The staff are incredible: very attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely kind. They made sure I was comfortable the whole time and were lovely to talk to. You can sit inside or enjoy your meal out on the patio, which feels like a peaceful escape right in the middle of the city. Surrounded by plants and with a beautiful view, it felt like I was on vacation. What I loved most is that this place still feels like a hidden secret — perfect if you’re looking for a bit of calm, some privacy, and a great meal away from the rush of the city.
Went for dinner on Saturday night. The main dishes were hit or miss — pasta was good but maybe lacked salt/cheese and finished quite oily. The duck soup was fantastic, and the burger was OK. But the real standouts were the desserts! People should be coming here just for the desserts. It’s as if they have a dedicated pastry chef. The pavlova was perfectly balanced and had nice textural contrasts. The tart was creative, also with textures, and had enough fun elements to keep us eating. We will probably come back and give the nicer entrees a shot.
The egg sandwich was great and so were the French toast. Great customer service
We came for a drink and a snack mid afternoon on a sunny Saturday. The patio was a peaceful oasis. The furnishings, giant planters with grasses and succulents made you feel a world away. Staff was extremely attentive. Loved Nate! We had a charcuterie board but the menu had us come back for dinner later that night. We were not disappointed.
What a chill location! Burger was perfectly cooked! I ordered medium rare and it wasn’t over cooked. Veggies were fresh, and the bun was able to stand up to a very moist burger!
Had an amazing lunch here on their opening day. The restaurant is located on the 3rd floor of the new Jay Hotel. The design is stunning and the food delicious. Check out the Sticks for a starter. I shared with some people and got to try a bunch of the lunch items and they were all spot on.

I was very impressed with my first visit to The Third Floor. We made reservations for my boyfriend’s birthday and I couldn’t have been happier. The service was absolutely excellent, the food was all very delicious, and I was blown away by the handwritten card our server handed my partner before we left! I don’t drink but the sommelier came to our table to personally suggest a good pairing for what we had ordered. I think the only slight downside was the strawberry cheesecake which was more like a light soufflé than a cheesecake. But I will absolutely return to try the braised cod! I’ve never been so tempted to eat meat and dry the duck soup!!

The Duck Noodle Soup was amazing. Exactly what I'm looking for when I'm in SF. The Ambiance was great and so was the service. There is a great outdoor space to chill by the firepits and the cocktails were well balanced. I tried the Here's Johnnie and The Plea Deal. This place literally opened a week ago along with the rebranded Jay Hotel. The Rooms are amazing and so is this restaurant. Was a little quiet because it was soft opening but should become a Hotspot come grand opening.
Nice, new and modern place at the hotel. We had delicious cocktails and small bites. Unfortunately, due to weather couldn’t sit outside. Their service was good.
I held my 10-person team holiday gathering here and it was fantastic. The food was delicious, the service was attentive and delightful. We sat outside around a fire pit and ordered the s'more package, which had elecated s'more fixin's (dark chocolate, cinnamon cookies, and fresh marshmellows. They had lovely background music that wasn't too loud and nice downtown views.
We had the best server ever tonight! We sat in the bar and had an amazing meal and experienced amazing hospitality! Thank you sir for making our evening special! We loved it all! So nice! We had a bunch of meat skewers and wonderful cocktails!
I recently visited The Third Floor for their all-you-can-eat yakitori, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The yakitori selection was excellent, with every skewer cooked to perfection tender, juicy, and full of flavor. There was a good variety too, from chicken, beef, shrimp and some other options. Staff were outstanding! They were friendly, attentive, and always ready to recommend their favorites or top up drinks. You can tell they genuinely cared about making sure everyone has a good time.
Such a cool interior bar lounge. Very well appointed with lots of varying spaces to have a drink or eat. 360 bar, and exterior patio are pretty awesome. The food is great, but the burger and fries are exceptional. The homemade ketchup bbq style sauce for the fries is too good. The servers are super friendly and helpful
The Third Floor deserves a higher rating! We’re local and have returned a few times because the food is nice, great drinks, and the outdoor seating & ambience are stellar. Even on a colder day, the outdoor fire pits make it lovely. Hope to come back again soon.

Food was good, nothing outstanding but very generous. Service was quick and attentive with a little push back from the staff but delivered. It’s great for a big group or alone dining.
I was there for a work conference and my stay was booked in Jay hotel. I loved the ambience and their cocktail collection. My personal favorite is the location. Amidst all tall structures, this is a lovely shorter location. Definitely recommend trying this out.
This restaurant is the main attraction inside this Autograph Collection hotel (Jay hotel). The menu is fusion with lots of Japanese-inspired dishes. Try the fried chicken/tonkatsu sandwich with coleslaw and the duck soup. The hummus spread was also delicious, and the root salad is very exotic. Service is very attentive despite being such a large space. Decor is beautiful and matches the look of the hotel.

I did All you can eat yakitori with four friends. The food was alright. There are tiny tables for each group but the table can basically hold only one person's plate and drink so luckily we were able to gather a few tables.

Beautiful terrace, but disappointing service. The 3rd Floor has a gorgeous and cozy terrace with stunning views of the city — a perfect spot to relax in the morning. However, I was really surprised that they only offered coffee in paper cups, even though it’s a hotel restaurant. I had to go inside and get it myself, which didn’t match the level of the place. The food I tried on a previous visit was okay, nothing special. Overall, the setting is lovely, but the experience could be much better with a bit more attention to service.
My boyfriend and I came here for a nice brunch date after reading great reviews and being drawn to the Japanese-inspired menu. Unfortunately, our experience was just okay. Even though we had a reservation, we still waited about 20 minutes—and the restaurant was only half full. I ordered the omakase set, which included rice, miso soup, corn arugula salad, miso cod, pickles, and two soft poached eggs. The miso soup had an odd sweet flavor, the pickles lacked any real taste, and the poached eggs were bland and under-seasoned. The miso cod was delicious, but the portion was tiny—just two small slices for $28. My boyfriend ordered the pork belly Benedict and was also disappointed. The dish was unexpectedly sweet, and the pork belly was ground instead of sliced, which took away from the texture and flavor. The atmosphere was great, but overall the food and value didn’t live up to the hype. We wouldn’t go back.

The only good thing about the restaurant is its ambience. The food is just so very underwhelming. Service isn’t great either. I ordered French Toast and a smoothie. The French toast was probably the worst I have ever had. The inside of the brioche being very dry. The only thing good about it was the whipping cream on top which probably wasn’t even made in-house. The smoothie was very watery and didn’t taste good. I do not recommend this restaurant at all, even if it’s free breakfast.
Tldl: Avoid This place is owned by the Omakase group, from the very famous Omakase restaurant. Went to the “all you can eat yakitori”, was a mistake I wish I will not have done. I really would like to understand how a professional of the industry can have though it will be a good idea of mixing a “all you can drink” baby shower, with regular customer. After our “host” bring us to our “sofa” please read sofa, as I have no space to put any plate later on…, leaving us with a precise element: Order drinks to waiter or go to the outside bar… to the outside bar I went, my mistake it was. A bench of drunk baby shower customers ordering 1 then 3 then 5 drinks and then insulting me on my back, thinking I will not understand their own language because I am white…. Hum my few years in China and other part of Asia told me a lot. I understand you don’t choose your customers , but you chooses are to continue to serve them or not. Was with my 15 years old girl, starting to be less and less comfortable. To the point to refren her from going back to the buffet area. The poor service did not get better, we try to order multiple of pricy bootle, none of them were available. When the margin on each bottle is more than 100% (yep have been sommelier for few decades) it’s a disgrace. Really would like the Omakase group to contact me privately to help me to understand why I paid to feel so uncomfortable for 2 hours. When I got insulted, I stay calm and did not make a scene… should I have, so your (absent) team is understanding the poor choice they made? Will avoid this place, when we debrief with my party, the first comment was “they are scrapping for money” kinda of a désillusion for a group and restaurant I did respect. Will have been more than happy to give this feedback live…. No one asked us how have been our experience tho 😬. Should I mentioned the 1inch of water and the 3 cube of ice that came 30 minutes after our white wine bottle. For the price of the place? Again this is a disgrace.
