Was surprised to find this place so lively! Loud music that fit the bill for Valentine's Day. Local bands that were kickin ass and patrons were dancin if not swaying to a rockin beat. Beautiful bar great food and excellent service. I will return with friends in tow.

Beautiful old bar in an area of the city without beautiful old bars... Nice enough for Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe to visit on Friday nights when they were together!

This place is very choice, they work with you... the owner still has their elbows in the business... and their ingredients are choice, fresh, and prepared right here in their establishment. I regularly come here for chili cheese fries, its delicious, excellent portion, and (in my opinion) economical. You get a meal and a half worth of food in one basket! never even mind their 20 dollar special.... a shot, a beer (albeit the beer is canned) and a full ass chicken sandwich (or burger) with fries (WITH FRIES!!). the grilled chicken can be a little skimpy (but still very acceptable) but the fried chicken sandwich is MASSIVE! I eat a lot, so brought a friend one time. they took the meal home (and some EXCEPTIONAL potato skins) and fed a whole family with what they couldnt eat (I'm not even joking) Some of the bartenders screw up the snake bite but I didnt have to tell them what it is and they dont give me ANY fuss about the guiness being in a can. I could probably just buy 1 drink (leaving half a can of guiness) and they wouldnt say a damn thing! (I still buy two of course, itd be rude not to). This place has definitely become my choice bar even if its gimicks are as aged as saloons (I mean, thats a whole joy in itself though). I dont meet women here, sadly, but I get great food... great atmosphere... and plenty of amateur music. And the BEST bar service of all the bars I've been to all throughout san francisco! *edit oh, forgot to say, my friend is a SUPER lightweight so they got a mocktail and absolutely loved it (they do tend to like sweater drinks though so mind you that).

I was here to watch a friend play with their band at an all-ages matinee, super cozy place and the staff were friendly, overall great atmosphere. I also lost a personal item and they responded quick and were understanding when I contacted them, found and kept it for me until I could come retrieve it. A very fun and memorable experience that I would recommend to anyone, support local music!

Myself and a friend took our 4 teenager daughters to a show at this location. We drove from Santa Cruz, to San Francisco. The whole experience was amazing. Peeboo and the Katz played and gave it girls an experience to remember the rest of their lives. Shout out to peeboo for the Tees and autographs. The venue is quite small but it was worth it. There is a full bar and they are very on keeping the youngins away from the bar and the door person I can't remember her name was hella cool.

Very friendly staff. Good mixed drinks. The buffalo sauce wings were good. The Adobe & Lemon Pepper wings were bland. The bleu cheese dressing was terrible and watery. Please get some quality bleu cheese dressing.

Decor and main vibe in the bar area was nice. We went to go see a show at the venue. The staff was great! The venue area… could use some improvements. Upstairs was a bit crammed, hot, and smelled of B.O. Some of the tables on the upper deck were missing chairs and chairs were wobbly.. I went to the lower portion to get an idea of what the whole venue was like, walked around for 2 seconds and immediately went back upstairs. Minimal seating, also wreaked of B.O. (worse than upstairs) and the audio set up was kind of just crammed in the back corner. To be fair, the B.O. issue is likely just people being gross and not entirely on the venue, but some sort of ventilation would be nice even if it were just an open window. The audio sounded great - I was able to understand and hear the artists the whole time. Lighting was smooth as well.

This place cost us about $80 for one night. The hotel is okay. Be prepared for city noise, especially due to the fact that there's a bar downstairs, and individuals staying there can get quite loud. Nevertheless, if you need a quick stop to rest and visit a baseball game at Oracle Park, I would say this place is okay.

Bathrooms need serious cleaning especially the walls, hotel staff is not regularly on site only a phone number to call. Also lots of dust everywhere, it's like the spot clean after the last guest. We stayed here last minute and yes you get what you pay. When addressing concerns to management by phone they could care less, and act like you are the first person to ever bring up a concern to them. I would recommend staying anywhere else, for a non smoking hotel there is a strong odor of cigarette smoke and some weird musty smell. Also no hand soap in the shared with the whole floor bathrooms, so make sure to bring your own! The parking lot the hotel recommends next to wells Fargo/Starbucks is known for cars being broken into at night per the parking attendant even. Although right across the street is a safe clean indoor parking garage, probably the best part of our stay.
