Really delicious! I got the surfer mermaid zapato which is a burrito but toasted crusts kinda like a panini. The habanero sauce (added after) was great and not spicy. Will definitely be coming back! There’s an entire vegetarian menu page! No protein option, but still good.

Garaje is a great spot! The garage theme gives it a quirky, laid-back vibe that's perfect for chilling out. We ordered the Gordita Zapato and the Vegetarian Zapato, and both were fantastic! The Gordita Zapato was packed with flavor, with juicy meat and fresh veggies wrapped in a perfectly grilled tortilla. The Vegetarian Zapato didn’t disappoint either – it was loaded with delicious black beans, avocado, and all the good stuff. The casual atmosphere, combined with friendly service, made for a great dining experience. Highly recommend stopping by Garaje for some tasty eats and a unique vibe!

Amazing food and fun atmosphere. Kitchen is delicious! They were closing soon but even let us dine in. Really excellent customer service! Advice : Try their burger! It's spectacular! Also the zapato burritos are huge, best to split with someone!

Wow really good place. Everything on the menu looked good. I decided to go with the hot chicken 🐔 😋 sandwich 🥪. Thought of getting a burger 🍔 or a steak 🤔 but decided to go with something I couldn't get usually. Also I wanted to say wow I loved ambiance and decorations all over the walls. If you have a chance, in the area or want to try something new before going to the Giants game give this place a try. You'll be glad you did 😊

Nice place! Great vibe and delicious food. Tacos are very tasty. Great music choices while we are eating. We waited for friends long enough and they didn’t say anything which was nice welcoming.

Holy delicious food in a fun environment!! I LOVED Garaje! I ordered tacos (chicken, beef and Baja). Each taco was more delicious than the last! The food was fairly priced and absolutely delicious. The tortillas were freshly made in house and had to have been made from high quality fresh ingredients! The atmosphere was so fun (think a garage with a bar in it) and the music was awesome too. I cannot wait to go back! There were lots of food and drink options for an adventurous eater or a more picky eater. Both alcohol and non alcoholic beverages were available.

No filter needed for the burger pic I took. This place is fabulous, not only the ambiance is great but the food is even better. You can’t go wrong with their menu. 2022 Update: I keep coming to this place, regularly and as always, fantastic beer, great food and amazing customer service!

Burger is nice as it gets! And the others like asada fries and Baja taco are also recommended! Entry or outside restaurant might not be looking good, but inside is great - clean, relaxing! Price might be a little bit higher, but in terms of food and vibe it’s not that bad. So I would definitely come as usual!

Fantastic joint which serves great food and great drinks! I had the vegetarian option, and the food was plentiful and delicious. The margaritas are decent, and the cider selection is excellent. The atmosphere is lively, and this is the kind of place where you’d go out with friends to grab food and drinks and hang out. This place has two floors, but during the busy times, seating can be hard to find. This place is cash only, so bring cash or be prepared to use the ATM in the place.

Great staff and beer selection. Zapatos were good and unique (though I think panini pressed not specifically grilled), had the tacos too, both delish. Looks like it was decorated in another era, and a bit dark, which leads to the mentioned dive bar feeling. (They take credit cards now) Downside, It’s a bit pricy, tacos especially. For the quality of beer that was about right but the food prices were a little high for the offerings, though the ingredients were quality, there’s some quality issues in the kitchen that need to be addressed (such as the mentioned fryer oil problems and general rushing things). Also, like others mentioned is they close before their stated hours, I was in at 7:30, half packed restaurant, they started closing at 8 (cashier went home, cleaning up - chemical cleaning ruining any ambiance - especially at their price level, turning several away people at this point) even though the posted closing was 9. I would have had another beer, but felt pressured and there was no one to help me. Of course the crowd dwindled because of this too. Would I do it again? I might give them another chance, maybe just for beer next time though. It’s walkable from the Moscone (same to Oracle) but not close enough to get bought out from corporate events, so a nice place to chill. The food was good, but pricy for what it was. Decor celebrates old days of SF at this point, and seemed clean (in the dark light).

We usually get the burgers and do highly recommend them as they are delicious and very satisfying. This time we each tried something different for takeout: my husband got the OG zapato and like that very much. I got the spicy fried chicken sandwich, which to me did not register as spicy enough.. plus the BBQ sauce with it was just too much sweetness which I would also not prefer for a "spicy fried chicken sandwich". Others may like this if they can only tolerate a little amount of heat, which is balanced by sweet- it's just not for me.

Mexican pub and restaurant with the usual American style: big TV screens and dark lights. A bit country style, but the food is not bad and the tacos, as well as the asada, are recommended. 20 usd the average , if you stop at the first beer. Loved and frequented by a young audience

The food is extraordinary. And it comes out quick. But the guy at the front desk is unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. He lacks empathy and humanity. There’s an aspect of customer service that they lack. You’ll see it when you go there. The food is incredible but the guy’s unprofessional attitude makes you not want to go there.

Never in my wildest dreams had I ever imagined mexican food could be tasteless, but garaje did it. The sandwich and tacos got decent reviews tho. Service was below par - waitstaff scoffed at us for trying to figure out a table with five seats, and were impatient even tho there wasn't anyone behind us. 1/10 experience never going back.
