Fresh taste, quality ingredients in every bite. An updated Mexican menu including small and large salads: fresh red leaf lettuce, avocado, tomato, cotija cheese, fried tortilla strips and toasted pepitas — tossed in creamy cilantro dressing. Enjoy the meal in the sun with ample patio seating.
I normally don’t like Margaritas, but this one was super delicious - a sweet delight accompanying the amazing fish and shrimp tacos I had. I must admit I would call the fish taco - a “must try”. My husband had a really simple plate of rice, beans and shrimps and all three items were just right. I can’t believe this place has only four stars as the people working there are very lovely and the food is really tasty. Come and visit!
Lulus.. What a helpful and full staff. There's no shortage of employees. 99% working behind the counter keeping production and service up to standards. If not better! I ordered a very huge and popular steak burrito with a few complimentary chips that was exquisite! You have the option to dabble with the plethora of house salsas too. Don't hold back! Decent prices and delicious food!

Love this place! Fresh, reliable, consistent. Yes expensive but we’re talking Bay Area so no surprise there. The secret sauce (excuse the pun) is the complimentary salza they provided!
My only complaint is that $12(for 3 taquitos ) no rice or beans just flauntas did not include guacamole!
Tried Lulu’s for the first time today and I am sorry it took me so long to find this place. I used to be a big fan of Bravo Taqueria and I have been searching for new replacement. Lulu’s is it. Their burritos are fantastic. Choice of beans, choice of tortilla, excellent meat. I am not sure why the quesadillas were more expensive than a burrito. I’ll have to ask next time I eat there.

We love their breakfast burritos!! The staff was very friendly, Gloria helped us out!
Got a burrito here every day when we were at the hospital. Delicious! Thank you Gloria

Not a good value. Their burritos are too small for $14. The grilled veggie burrito is basically just a small amount of grilled veggies and a small amount of cheese in a tortilla. Maybe I can’t expect much more from Atherton. Nice patio tho
Great food that's a step above your usual taqueria selection. I'd suggest going not at peak dinner or lunchtime as getting your food can be a bit slow when they are busy. They seem to do a lot of take out via delivery apps so I'd order ahead or be in for a bit of wait if you order in person.

I had gone a Sunday night for a take-out but decided last minute to have it in the restaurant because they were pretty empty. For about 20-30 minutes, they didn't have a lot of people. Then they got really busy with take-outs and mobile orders. The gentleman that took my order was really nice. The dining area is fairly clean. The bathroom could be a little cleaner, but from what I could tell they were maybe busy before I got there. They had a decent portion size. The food was decent; it had good flavor. It was good, but it wasn't that memorable. I had the Carnitas Plate (this is the dish I get at every Mexican restaurant I first try). I did like the chips they had; the portion was a little lacking on the chips. it was still good though. I wouldn't mind coming back if it was convenient, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come for the food. It was just okay for me.
Good neighborhood Mexican restaurant. Small and no liquor license. Has several locations

Not long ago I ordered a fish burrito but got shrimp. I do not eat shellfish. At the time the counter employee didn't offer me a refund or even an apology. I wrote an unhappy review. I'm updating that. The restaurant manager and owner both wrote to me to apologize and to offer me a refund. The owner promised to make clear to the staff that "fish" does not mean "shrimp," and to caution employees to be careful regarding allergies to shrimp. I won't return to this restaurant, but for the years I did eat here and at its Palo Alto and Los Altos branches I thought the food was pretty good. Anyway, if you have allergies take extra care to clarify them with the staff and be sure they understand.
So disappointed. I used to enjoy coming to Lulus's for their tortilla soup. My friend and I ordered it today. She had two spoonfuls and I ate everything but the chicken. Soup was tepid and the chicken was VERY dry and TASTELESS. The guacamole was awful. It did not taste like real guacamole. I don't know what they did. But they're obviously adding some kind of additive or who knows what. Perhaps it was premade. I told the cashier that the soups weren't good and he said he's sorry and he'd tell the chef. But he should've really give us our money back. We didn't even eat it and for lunch for two people is $58. Guac, chips and soup!!! Not worth it and not coming back. There are so many other Mexican food restaurants I don't know how they can afford to have bad food.
I ordered two items which I believe to have been pretty easy to get correctly. Unfortunately that’s not the case. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito with sour cream. It came with no cheese and no sour cream. I also ordered a tostada. It was missing three ingredients. There was no cheese, no sour cream and no avocado. These days the prices of things is very expensive and to have my whole meal incorrect was a huge bummer.
Good food but way overpriced. Having to wait 30 mins for one taco is kinda funny, especially when ppl who ordered after me are leaving with their orders.

Food can be alright if you get them to give you what you actually ordered. Proceed with caution. I've ordered pickup multiple times from this place, and multiple times have gotten the wrong order. We're not talking about a single wrong ingredient. Talking about I order an egg burrito, black beans, with potatoes, only to be met with Chicken, brown beans, cheese and rice. I don't eat meat, so that was nice.
The orders are always incorrect, I typically use the online ordering but even when you call, they still get it wrong. I ordered the Mexican fries and requested no cheese, brought it home only to bite into a wad of cheese. When I called to have them redo it and specifically told them NO CHEESE, the second order has cheese, a lot more this time. Also, they forgot to add corn in the first order. I drove back and forth twice, waste of time and money. They weren’t that busy either. So disappointing. I should’ve opened my order at the restaurant instead of taking it home, but I thought they’d follow instructions the second time.
I entered the restaurant and no other customer was there. I ordered 3 pozole bowls to go at 10:56AM. I waited patiently for my order. Other customers came in after wards and placed their orders and about 3-4 customers got their food served on a plate before I did. There were 4 woman working at the food bar by the way. It took a while for someone to tell me that my order was coming up. By that time it was almost 13min. After 15min of waiting and watching everyone else get their food first, they finally brought up my order. I really waited there 15min for them to pour soup in a small cup. $10 each. Rip off and a waste of my time. They didn’t even apologize for the long wait or anything. Spoiler: the pozole was tasteless even after putting all the fixings and 4 lime wedges.

We’ve been going to lulus in town and country for years and I always get a veggie burrito with red rice and cheese. Now the only option is a vegan burrito which is described as having cilantro rice. Town and country always honored the options that were chosen — red rice, no sour cream, etc. Since there’s only an option to REMOVE cheese, the town and country burrito always includes cheese if it isn’t removed. Went to this location because the town and country one was closed. I ordered the same thing I always do, but the burrito did not come with the correct rice (which I explicitly chose traditional red because I hate cilantro) and it didn’t have cheese. My husband also got the wrong rice despite ordering a super burrito which usually comes with red rice automatically. Lulu’s really screwed up removing the vegetarian burrito option and this location clearly doesn’t actually even look at the options the customer selects. Won’t be coming back. It’s a real shame that they can’t take the two minutes to look at the order.
I've gone to Lulu's for years, but I've decided to disengage. 1st, they used to have a cold water dispenser, but they got rid of it. Now, u need to ask for water, and u get a nasty look, and they give u tap water with no ice. I'm sure they stopped providing cold water so folks would buy beverages. 2nd, they do not provide chips and salsa for free, they charge u for it. A lot of mexican restaurants provide chips for free. And lastly, and this is the reason I stopped going, they no longer give u the option of a half chopped salad. A half salad is way enough for one person. I just think their food is not good value, it is quite expensive. There are other mexican restaurants close by with better quality food at a lower price. Message to Lulu's, don't just think of maximizing your profit, also think what is best for your customer. The actions above clearly has an adverse impact on a positive customer experience.
Ordering online for takeout is a disaster here. Seems they don’t start even looking at orders until you show up and ask about your food.

Probably one of the worst lunches in Menlo Park. Meat too tough to cut. Cold food. Bad quality.
