We dined using a Groupon coupon. The restaurant, located inside the train station, is simply yet tastefully furnished. We were greeted by a friendly young man who explained the menu included in the coupon: a choice of two appetizers, two first courses, two second courses, and a trio of desserts. The food was excellent, the portions generous, and the presentation creative. We were truly satisfied!

A truly special place to eat truffles at very reasonable prices. There are two menus: for couples and for individuals (of course, you can also order à la carte). The individual menu costs €30 and includes a fixed appetizer, first course, and second course (I don't remember if there were anything else). There's no choice, but all dishes feature black truffles. We had the couple's menu for €45 (so €22.50 per person!), which includes an appetizer, first course, second course, a trio of desserts, and a quarter glass of wine. For each dish, you have a choice between two options. Obviously, the amount of truffle in each dish isn't enormous, but it's just the right amount to create the characteristic flavor. We found it to be an excellent compromise for eating truffles without spending a fortune, and all the dishes were absolutely delicious! So, highly recommended. The photos show the dishes we ordered :)

Ristorantino carino e accogliente, situato tra la ferrovia e la strada, veniamo accolti molto bene da personale gentile. Menù abbastanza vario, essendo ad Alba ci sono anche piatti con il gustoso tartufo. Ho mangiato discretamente bene, ma se posso faccio alcune considerazioni: come antipasto ho preso un'ottima battuta di fassona piemontese, il piatto meglio riuscito tra quelli che ho preso, condita il giusto e bella saporita. Come primo una tagliatella con ragù di cinghiale, la carne morbida e ottima, la tagliatella secondo me troppo cotta, però un plauso in quanto pasta fresca. L'unica pecca, che non mi ha fatto mettere 5 stelle, è stato il dolce. Il tiramisù classico purtroppo non era all'altezza del resto, il biscotto era troppo secco, il mascarpone non sono sicuro ma forse non c'era, al suo posto però della panna montata, anche no grazie. Amo il tiramisù ma questo non mi è piaciuto. Però ottimo il servizio e il resto della cucina, 4 stelle.

Locale molto carino, situato all'interno della stazione. Abbiamo preso tris di antipasti, un primo ciascuno, un secondo e tris di dolci. Antipasti ok, buoni gli gnocchi con il tartufo, niente di eccezionale le tagliatelle con i funghi. Secondo di funghi fritti molto buono. I dolci assolutamente da dimenticare, unica nota negativa del pranzo.

Siamo stati in questo ristorante un sabato a pranzo con amici. Il posto non è molto grande e l'ambiente risulta un po' sacrificato. Il menù è composto dai piatti della tradizione e i prezzi sono nella media, con picchi chiaramente per le pietanze con tartufo. Qualche appunto, il risotto alla zucca risultava troppo brodoso, e la differenza di porzione tra quello e gli gnocchi era evidente: mentre il riso era un bel piattone, la quantità di gnocchi era davvero risicata. Buoni e abbondanti i dolci.

Acquistato buono con Groupon. La cena si è rivelata superiore alle aspettative ( avendo letto recensioni non proprio positive). Ottimo tutto, antipasti con una battuta di Fassone eccellente, i primi anche ottimi con tajiarin e gnocchi fatti in casa. Le porzioni degne di un menù alla carta. Vino,dolci e caffè compresi. Che dire! Bravissimi, assolutamente da provare.

Osteria La fermata, il nome fa capire già tutto. Si tratta di una vecchia fermata per treni trasformata appunto in osteria. Il treno passa proprio a ridosso del locale, ma a bassissime velocità, infatti se non si guarda fuori dalla finestra si rischia di non accorgersi del passaggio del treno stesso. Riguardo ai piatti nulla da eccepire, tutto perfetto, consigliato se si vuole mangiare piatti tipici albesi. La fassona con scaglie di tartufo bianco semplicemente divina. Ottima anche la scelta dei vini. Unica pecca forse il tartufo non proprio di qualità eccelsa, ma buono... Forse penalizzati da una stagione non proprio ricca nella ricerca di questo tubero prezioso. Complimenti per il servizio, veloce e preciso.

I took advantage of a Wonderbox gift set and found the trio of appetizers very good. The tagliatelle with mushrooms was bland, while the ravioli del plin with herbs were tasty and definitely homemade. The trio of desserts was good, especially the semifreddo. Generous portions. Friendly and helpful staff. A typical Piedmontese trattoria.

We went there with a Smart Box for lunch. It's a little outside the center of Alba, inside a train station. Typical Piedmontese dishes prepared freshly. A good selection of local wines.

A simple restaurant with reasonable rooms, without a wow factor, but the food was excellent! We tried two different menus. Besides being good quality, they were well-cooked and delicious. I really enjoyed the raw meat with truffle and the wild boar meatballs with dolcetto. We'll be back.

Excellent choice, just 2 km from Alba's city center. Wide selection. Tasting menu available at reasonable prices. The lady, acting as if she'd run out of tagliatelle and not having made very large dishes, was kind enough to make us gnocchi as well. A family atmosphere! Only the hazelnut cake could be improved.

Ci sono stato per cena usufruendo di un buono smartbox. Il locale si presenta classico, un po' desueto. Bravi i camerieri, giovani e svegli. Il tris di antipasti era buono, così come i porcini impanati e fritti, davvero freschi. Sono rimasto un po' deluso dai primi che mancavano un po' di gusto, soprattutto la cacio e pepe con tartufo nero che era un po' sciapa. Risotto invece più buono ma non eccezionale. Dolci ( tra l'altro portati dopo 10 secondi dalla fine dei primi, magari volevamo mangiare altro...) non degni di nota. Ritengo il conto anche un po' alto considerando tutto l'insieme e il costo dello smartbox.

The food quality was poor for the price. We were served a plate of tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms that was the equivalent of pasta with butter. When we pointed this out, we sent the plate back, and were completely ignored. For two appetizers and two first courses, a half bottle of wine and two coffees, €90. Really too much.

Una vera delusione!!! Ambiente fatiscente , umido,freddo e davvero molto sporco!!! E pensare che avevo sentito parlarne bene... Piatti senza arte ne parte Nonostante avessi comunicato problematiche di intolleranze... Mi è stato assicurato che non ci sarebbero stati problemi nel sostituire le pietanze proposte nel mio Smartbox... Invece.. praticamente abbiamo mangiato un piatto in meno e nessuno si è preoccupato di portare una sostituzione... L'uovo al padellino era davvero pessimo. Parti di albumi crude e turli stracotti... Tralascio che oltre ad essere presentato male era davvero poco gradevole anche come abbinamento di sapori.
