Had my first visit today so this is a fresh assessment. A lot of interesting food combinations and flavors which was a plus / surprise. I have the sweet chili oxtail slice and fried salmon with alfredo sauce . The flavors are very robust and present. One thing I noticed is that the dough is rather thicker than the traditional slice you find in the areas what to take is for the added toppings and weight.

I've been here numerous times at both locations. The pizza speaks for itself and the hype is definitely justified. The food never disappoints. Only downside is the wait sometimes and it's hard to determine when there will be a long line or not. Either way, the wait is worth it. Whoever the chef is, protect him at all cost! Lol.

Very creative and tasteful flavors of pizza. This is "Thinking Outside the Box" when it comes to traditional pizza making. It got an urban style and flavor to their pizza! It's a must try because you will not find these flavors and toppings at your local pizza place!

Try this spot! Never seen or heard before toppings on a slice! Loved it! Special thanks to Buck and Dope/ Dom ( hope I got your name right) for being amazing guys at the store!

This innovative eatery takes the concept of pizza to new, uncharted territories, offering an experience that's as unique as its creations. Cuts & Slices menu is a testament to creativity, featuring an array of slices that defy traditional boundaries, each crafted with unexpected combinations that tantalize the taste buds. My favorite and the standout "Brown Stew Oxtail" pizza is a perfect example, with cheese topped with its caribbean blend of flavors that makes each bite a pleasure. What truly sets Cuts & Slices Pizzeria apart is their commitment to quality and innovation. Every ingredient is carefully selected for freshness and flavor, ensuring that each pizza is not just a meal, but a culinary adventure. Despite the gourmet experience, this pizzeria maintains a laid-back, and friendly atmosphere. I got the shrimp and lobster pizza and the oxtail. Sandwich with I believe it was jerk sauce. Both were very good. I was a little bit skeptical about spending $20 for a slice of pizza but it was worth it. From the pizza crust to the sandwich bread to the shrimp and lobsters and the oxtail all the ingredients taste fresh. looked it, too The server was very nice. I had been sitting, waiting for my order and he held the package out to me waiting until I came over. I like that he didn’t put it down on the counter and walk away which I thought was very nice. It’s a small location, but that was OK. I wasn’t there very long. This is definitely my new pizza joint!

I honestly do not even know where to begin because my experience with Cuts and Slices and especially with Randy and his wife Ashley was absolutely incredible. From the very start their hospitality stood out in such a genuine and meaningful way. They welcomed me with warmth kindness and care and made me feel comfortable and appreciated immediately. It was clear right away that they truly care about the people who support their business and take pride in creating an amazing experience for everyone who walks through the door. Randy and Ashley are the kind of people who make you feel like more than just a customer. They took the time to talk with me explain the menu and answer questions without ever rushing the interaction. Their energy was welcoming and sincere and it made the entire experience feel personal and memorable. You can tell they are passionate about what they do and that passion shows in both their service and their food. This was actually my first time ever trying oxtail and I could not have asked for a better introduction. Randy took the time to explain how it is prepared and what makes it special which made trying something new feel exciting instead of intimidating. When I finally tried it I was blown away. The oxtail was perfectly cooked incredibly tender and packed with rich deep flavor. Every bite was comforting satisfying and clearly made with care and attention. It completely exceeded my expectations and instantly made me understand why people love it so much. Ashley’s attention to detail and genuine kindness added so much to the experience as well. She made sure everything was perfect checked in to see how I was enjoying the food and made me feel truly welcomed. Together Randy and Ashley have created something really special at Cuts and Slices. The atmosphere feels authentic welcoming and community driven and that energy makes a huge difference. What stood out most to me was how intentional they are about everything they do. From the quality of the food to the way they treat their customers nothing feels rushed or careless. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone leaves happy satisfied and excited to come back. That level of care is rare and it shows how much pride they take in their business. Cuts and Slices is not just a place to get great food it is an experience built on passion hospitality and heart. Thanks to Randy and Ashley my first time trying oxtail turned into a moment I will always remember. I will absolutely be coming back and recommending this place to everyone I know. If you are thinking about stopping by do not hesitate. The food is amazing the hospitality is unmatched and Randy and Ashley truly make you feel like family.

Amazing, I saw this advertising on Instagram and took a trip from Tampa to New York to get a slice of the famous oxtail pizza. Down to the crust was the best pizza I've had and worth the trip.

I’ve been following them on IG for over a year and have been dying to try them. My family decided to take the 2.5 hr drive, from Philly to Queens, to finally see what all the hype is about. BABY!!!! It was worth the drive and screaming in NY traffic!!! As a family we ordered 12 slices (4 sweet oxtail, 4 jerk chicken, lobster shrimp, chicken and waffle, regular oxtail, and salmon) and 2 orders of sweet oxtail fries. Every slice was amazing!!! I was so surprised by the chicken and waffle pizza; delicious!! The fries were perfectly cooked. The servers were pleasant and patient. It was just an all around wonderful experience. Black Owned Business for the win!!! This made me proud!! Please understand that we ordered specialty pizzas so we spent close to $300 on food, BUT IT WAS WORTH IT!!!

The service there is always top notch. I was so excited when I found out this location was going to open up around the corner from my house. Every time I enter this establishment I always feel welcomed. I get service with a smile and they provide information about the food they serve. They told my sister what she needed to do to order a personal vegan pizza for my birthday on which I had to work. She served it to me with candles and it tastes great. I love the decor with the skateboards on the wall, nods to hip hop culture, and some of the black 90s sitcoms that play on the TV. It's pizza but it ours. For Us By US. I truly appreciate Cuts and Slices choosing Saint Albans, Queens, (a town in which majority of the homes are owned by black people). I'm going to keep coming and supporting. I hope others do the same.

I had a pleasant visit over this location which would be my 2nd of the 3 spots located in the NYC metro area. 5 stars would be an insult to this place as I was treated very well and had a decent stay overall. The location is a bit on the small side but has ample amount of seating which I was lucky to come up to while the place was empty before it filled up with both customers and kids coming from school. I did get here around a quarter to 3 so it's to be expected. The lady behind the counter was very courteous and welcoming, even guided me through a few slices I wanted to try but couldn't get the names of. My initial reason coming here was for the Sweet Chili Oxtail Fries which was certainly on display, I also ordered a Chicken & Waffles Slice along with a Curry Chicken Slice which came up to $30. I put in a $6 tip in advance because I know the food is gonna be just as good as the service. The chef in the back was also awesome as well, he must've noticed my tip and slipped in an extra slice of sweet chili chicken. The workers here are awesome, makes me feel stoked to visit the Manhattan location in due time though I'll certainly return here in the future. The Oxtail Fries which are exclusive to the Queens location had quite a nice kick to it added with the meat of the Shredded Oxtail complimented with the fries in which that alone in and of itself is filling. Good thing it didn't overwhelm me because I wanted to take on the slices I got though the Oxtail Fries are for sure a solid recommendation for those going to the Queens area. The Curry Chicken Slice of course has it's spice, it's seasoned very well and blends surprisingly well with the texture of the pizza slice. Have a drink with you ready, the curry will test your taste buds. The Chicken & Waffle slice is a nice contrast from the spicy half of the food I had so it served as the perfect pallette cleanser. It was sweet and savory, breaded Chicken, Waffles, syrup, what more could you ask for? Last but not least the Sweet Chili Chicken, at this point I was close to stuffed but I toughed it out and finished this slice which as the name entails, sweet, a kick of spice and tender chicken added with the texture of the slice. Places like this are awesome, very experimental with the pizza perspective with very good results to show for it, top notch service and a good surrounding crowd which made me feel at ease, it's a great community spot. Yes this joint will run your pockets for the food is not cheap but it is worth EVERY PENNY.

I have been waiting to check this place out for a long time. The wait is finally over. Closed on Wednesdays I went on a Thursday, early afternoon, and suprising the line wasn't long at all. My wait was about 5 minutes. It is a take out only spot. There isn't anywhere to sit inside. The service was good, and quick. I really wanted to taste this oxtail curry pizza I have been hearing so much about. It wasn't the best slice I ever tasted, but it was a good quality slice. A bit pricey at $13.06 including tax, and the price can vary day to day. I do plan on going back to try their Shrimp & Lobster Black Truffle Afredo Slice. Their specialty pizzas do look very appealing.

From the pizza , the man who took my order to the woman who gave me my pizza and also made sure the cracked bottle of juice I left with was replaced… I have no complaints! The fried salmon and ox tail were my fav out of the 3 slices I purchased this day (9/13/24)

Qnz location is dope. I’m a frequent flyer lol. Last time I went I purchased three pies Curry oxtail, jerk shrimp, and Thai chili. Each and everytime the pizza is always on point. Staff is friendly and assertive. This pizza shop will be around for a very long time.

The politeness and professionalism has carried over from their Brooklyn spot to this new gem here in Saint Albans, Queens NY. After bugging the owner for some time on social Media looking for the opening, I purchased a sampler pizza, the loaded oxtail fries, oxtail pinwheel and a few drinks for myself and my family who haven't tried them yet. Needless to say even my extremely picky mother enjoyed the food. In the words of the owner "pull up"!

The second location is truth, and the quality is the same. You should definitely spend some money with this spot. Doesn't matter which location you go to, the food is amazing. The customer service is a 10 out of 10. I came in at 9 pm and received the same beautiful service as if it was opening time.

NEW LOCATION... SAME AMAZING PIZZA!!! I was fortunate enough to attend the Grand Opening of the New Cuts & Slices Location in Queens, and It was incredible! There was a line around the block, and it was DEFINITELY WORTH THE WAIT!!!! They provided free bottles of ice cold water and free Italian Ices to the people waiting in line, which was amazing! ...And it only got better when I got my slices!!! My flavor choices today were: * Brown Stew Ox Tail * Shrimp & Lobster Blk Truffle Alfredo THE FLAVOR WAS PHENOMENAL!!!! Best of all, the delicious taste was consistent at the Brooklyn and Queens Locations! I'll be back tomorrow for the: * Tulum * Chopped Cheese * Sweet Chilli Ox Tail * Chicken & Waffle * Sweet Chilli Salmon Cuts & slices is the addiction you didn't know you had!! TRULY THE MOST AMAZING PIZZA I'VE EVER TASTED!!! 5-STAR FLAVOR!! #PullUpBeloved ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

10/10 - price points are high but I get that the ingredients are expensive and labor used to make it. Over $60 on 4 slices. Sweet chilli and brown stew oxtail pizza, chicken and waffles and the jerk pizza.

Listen. I kept seeing this all over social media and said it’s probably not even that serious. You see, I’m a pizza head, and I’m a foodie. I appreciate good QUALITY food. What I did not expect from here was to actually experience quality and for the pizza to be THAT AMAZING!!!! CUSTOMER SERVICE: Honestly walking into the store, I thought everyone would have an attitude. I’m sorry I prejudged lol, I went to the Queens location and was immediately greeted the minute I walked in. Everyone had a light energy and was friendly. I watched the staff exhibit patience as others took forever to decide which slice they wanted. None of the staff showed any irritation or impatience. I was surprised. They all made me feel welcomed and appreciated for coming in. It’s like they make you feel like family. I appreciated that about them. THE DECEPTION: First off everything was looking dry from the glass window, but I decided to stay and give it a try anyway. Lol. You know how you warm up a pizza that was made a while ago and it ends up being mad hard and crunchy and don’t even taste the same as it would’ve if it was fresh? Yea well that’s what I thought would happen lol but it didn’t!! PHOTO PIC: I had the curry oxtail and the jerk chicken Alfredo. THE TOPPINGS: First off they are NOT SKIMPY ON THE TOPPINGS! after $12 a slice it better not be skimpy! It was full , especially on the oxtail slice. I even bit down on a tiny bone which is alright because it lets me know they actually shredded this meat off the bone. I can’t imagine the labor put into this pizza. And the oxtail WAS NOT chewy!!!!! So that’s how you know they took their time to cook it well! THE CHEESE: The QUALITY of this pizza, is AMAZING! I can tell they didn’t use cheap mozzarella. It honestly tasted like buffalo mozzarella! I loveee that! It was fresh and still have a nice cheese stretch, especially in my jerk chicken Alfredo slice. THE DOUGH: I’ve made pizza at home before using 00 pizza flour dough. I like that dough because it’s light, it doesn’t make you feel bloated although I think it still contains gluten. But their pizza reminded me of that 00 flour. I’m a thin crust girl and when I saw the crust was fluffy I thought it would be hard and obnoxious, but it wasn’t !!! It was so fluffy and light! Still had a little crunch to it but nothing obnoxious. Man I was still hungry. It literally made me want to go back for more. But that price ! 😖 PRICE: Is the oxtail and Jerk chicken Alfredo slice worth the price? I think they could’ve charged maybe $8-$9/ a slice as opposed to $12/slice! It’s extremely expensive. Def not something you can spend on a regular basis. People legit gotta save up to purchase pizza here 😭. But for the experience I tried it. Overall Great job. I enjoyed it!

5 stars for creativity, an abundance of options, and the staff’s efficiency at handling the long line. Oxtail slices (jerk, stewed, & sweet chili) were good, not life changing. Kids loved the bbq chicken. I’m more excited to go back and try the sweet chili salmon & chopped cheese slices. Thanks for coming to Queens!

Love cut and slices since I visited in Brooklyn but so so happy they moved to Queens. They should start an incentive program that after your 10th purchase, you get a slice of your choice for free. Happy to support black businesses all day. Pull up beloved

The most innovative thing to happen to New York Pizza in decades and the best thing to happen to oxtail in years. They should make a movie about the oxtail sweet chili. Closed on Wednesdays

Managed to go on a day when it was not too crowded. There were some items sold out, but they still had a good selection left. The menu variety it great, and the vibe is great. All that is missing is a tribe called quest poster and more dessert options! I will be back 😊😊 I had oxtail teriyaki and shrimp Parm pizzas.

Me and my mother went to get some pizza yesterday (9/27/25) and we were welcome by the owner and he explained all the different flavors of the pizza and they all sound so good. While we were waiting, the owner gave us free cookies and he gave us an extra slice of pizza and when we ate the cheese and BBQ chicken pizza, I felt like my spirit was leaving my body. Make sure you go here and you will be loved and left in shock of the atmosphere and the love of the staff that will keep you coming back! HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR YOU TO COME HERE WITH YOUR FRIENDS OR FAMILY.

I finally got a chance to go to Cuts and Slices and try out the sweet chilly oxtail pizza, regular slices, and cookies after viewing the Instagram reels. I went during the week in the early afternoon and there was no lines. Just waited for my pizza slices to be warmed. The sweet chilly oxtail pizza taste like shredded oxtails meat on top of pizza dough. The sweet chilly sauce from the sauce from sweet chilly oxtail is the pizza sauce on top of the pizza which made it taste good. The sweet chilly oxtail pizza cost $12 a slice. If you think about it, oxtail meat is small which means several pieces of oxtails were shredded to be used on the pizza slice. The regular cheese pizza slices cost $3.50. You can get it cheaper at an Italian pizzeria. Each cookie was $1 each. Next time I go to Cuts and Slices, I will try their shrimp and salmon pizza.

A
AVERY WHITE

Visited a few times when they first opened when the lines were down the block, even in the rain lol. Then I waited for the hype to die down and the quality was still the same. To me I consider this “gourmet pizza” both in the quality/variety of the toppings and in the price which range from $3+ for plain and starting at $12 for a topped off slice. The topic combos are crazy expansive so you’ll have to visit a couple times to truly find your favorite. Starting with the legendary “oxtail slice”, chicken & waffles, sweet chili oxtail or shrimp, jerk shrimp, curried oxtail, shrimp scampi, garlic parm shrimp, bbq chicken, jerk chicken, curry chicken, turkey sausage & beef pepperoni just to name a few. Vegans don’t despair. They’ve got you covered with a plain vegan cheese slices $5, vegan truffle $10, vegan specialty slice of the day $7.25 and veggie toppings $6.75. As expected there is a bit of a wait for your order but oh so well worth it. I could t give 5 stars due to the high salt content. While well seasoned, the level of sodium is undeniable so it’s not the type of slice you could have everyday like they do in Italy, more of a once in a while experience. Cheers 🥂

Small but tasty, unique pizzas await you here. Not every flavor combination is a smash hit, but the variety is quite nice. We tried the sweet chili oxtail, curry oxtail, garlic shrimp (our personal favorite), jerk shrimp and lobster truffle. To be honest the prices are just high enough that repeat visits may not be feasible. But it's certainly something everyone should try at least one time. Service was extra friendly.

We were excited to try these Caribbean style pizzas. If you’re into sampling a different kind of slice, this is an option. Food looks fresh. Was $28 for 3 slices. No seating. The chicken was good, but I enjoyed the texture of the pizza crust most. The crust is airy and crisp, supporting the toppings.

G

Since I've been hearing about this spot, had to check out. The slices were delicious and well prepared. Not for the everyday, $12 a slice, but well worth the cost. Specialty in the oxtail, jerk chicken and brown stew chicken pizza. Got the jerk & oxtail and was well pleased. Nephew got the curry chicken. Definitely you need to check out.

C
Charlotte Grant

So the stewed oxtail 10/10. The garlic parm Salmon was 7/10 didnt taste any garlic or parm and the fish smell was very strong. They were sold out of Shrimp and Lobster would have loved to try that one as well as they were out of traditional cheese. The bread was very good and you get a lot of topping i.e my slices were full of the ox tail and salmon meat. I am from Florida so $ 40 for 3 slices and 2 sodas is very expensive for a walk in / standing room only place. Serivce was really fast and staff were super nice and patient.

M

The oxtail pizza, what they are known for, is delicious, but the wait can be a bit and the interior can be more tidy. Oxtail slice is definitely pricey, but oxtail is a high cost ingredient (my wife is Jamaican so I know). This place is the best pizza this side of Queens by a longshot and definitely contender for all NYC pizza. The regular slice is banging too and what I'd come back to regularly eat. Overall, will be a staple pizzaria for a while to come!

P
Precious Mercedes

The staff was super friendly and made accommodations while we waited for our food. The food is amazing and filling. I always go for everything oxtail related. The Bake and Oxtail lord help me so good. Even better for left overs. There isn’t seating to eat but there’s a small bench to wait on.

It’s cool to see the expansion into Queens for a Black-owned business. This spot is a hot topic everywhere. I tried the sweet chili oxtail based on a recommendation from the guy behind the counter who said it was better than the stew oxtail slice. Well I got it, just one. So glad I only got one. It was $13 and the slice was filling. However, the oxtail meat was stringy and chewy. Not in a good way at all. As in low quality and the sweet chili sauce was plentiful and over powering. My guess is to keep it from being dry. I’ll try something else next time, so far it’s all hype.

This was my first time coming to Cuts & Slices, I had them before when my sister and bro-in law ordered and had a friend pick it up from BK. The food is great, even reheated it's still soooo good. The thing that was a complete turn off was 1. communication between workers was bad cause the slice I really wanted was the sweet oxtail slice and they said they didn't have any more, even though one was in the oven but I didn't know at the time. 2 People who came after us was getting their pizza before us, as they got to the 9th person after us I had to go and ask what was taking so long. That was when we realized they never put our order in even though we paid already. When it was finally ready I asked the girl if they had more sweet chili oxtail she said yes so I ordered a slice since that was what I really wanted and a seafood slice for my husband. The food is amazing but they need a better system cause when we came in it had just cleared out so there was maybe two people in front of us and we ended up being in there for 40 minutes total smh.

Topping flavors are definitely there but a decent slice of pizza it is not. It IS a slice but it's more of a kitschy novelty finding success from a proven formula, pizza works! The dough is extremely thick but necessary for the overabundant toppings that weigh the slice down. You DO want the quantity because slices are expensive. Dough is horrible though. Any decent pizza must have a doughy, yeasty, chewy consistency and this was more like thick cardboard. With the exception of the bland Regular, the doughs were not cooked thoroughly. We had the Buffalo Chicken and wish they would have listened when asked NOT to put that heavy-handed Ranch on top, which we abhor. Otherwise, it was Buffalo'ing. The famous Oxtail only came in the Spicy Chili, which was on the sweet side because of how they braised it and the Chili sauce placed on top. The Curry Chicken was hitting!!! The Regular is blah. Overall, it's a quaint establishment that gets you in and out. If they tightened up on their pizza dough and listening skills, it could be a lot better. Yes, we are traditionalists but can distinguish fairly. For us, this is a place to visit bi-annually, at best or to ahow off for your out-of-towners. Cool Team and clean.

Great business idea and wish them all the success in the world. I am only referring to the Queens, NY location. For my family and I the one time experience was enough. We tried every slice and after that, the thrill was gone. Some of the slices were just not that hittin as we were expecting. Some were too greasy, which caused the crust to soften. Some were kind of dry and lacked flavor cause they had no sauce or very little. The pizza is an acquired taste that I personally would not eat on a regular. This is just my opinion, nothing personal. All the best.

During my first visit, I tried the oxtail pizza and the jerk chicken pizza. Unfortunately, the oxtail pizza lacked seasoning and the jerk chicken pizza didn't quite meet my expectations and was lacking as a “pizza”. Today, when I arrived, there was no line outside because it was the first day of school. I walked in and inquired if they served regular slices, the employee confirmed that they did. When I placed my order for two buffalo chicken pizzas and a regular slice, the employee seemed disapproving and questioned my choice, suggesting other options like oxtail, jerk chicken, and shrimp. I assured him that I knew what I wanted and stuck to my original order. Despite his attitude and reluctance, he conveyed my order to the kitchen. The payment process was smooth, with no issues from the young lady at the register. However, the quality of the pizzas was disappointing. The plain pizza had overly sweet sauce, a under cook doughy crust, and lacked any char. The buffalo chicken pizza was excessively salty and lacked taste hardly ANY chicken. While visually appealing, these pizzas leave much to be desired in terms of flavor. Recently, I have tried it again and everything I stated before still stands; this place is not good.

Wasn’t at all impressed. There were several bones in the oxtail slices. Really don’t see the hype. These interesting toppings are a gimmick.

Everything is disgusting!!! Worst pizza ever. Not to mention the service was trash ! The fish is so fishy . The dough has no flavor . Everything is overly saucy . $75 for garbage ! I’m throwing the rest away I can’t even force myself to eat anymore & this is the only thing I’ve eaten all day . I feel like I’m going to vomit !! I got the oxtail & 2 different fish & the lobster . I’m truly disappointed. SAVE YOUR MONEY & eat dog food instead atp

Horrible customer service...the staff since their opening has severely declined. I arrived at their opening time of 12pm and the woman who opened the shop had an attitude upon my arrival. She unlocked the door and didnt open it. When I entered no pizza was on the counter and she told me that the pizza would not be ready for another 20 mins. Her attitude and lack of communication as I spoke was extremely rude. This shop was amazing when it first opened. But the last few times I've been here the customer has declined. The owners need to check on their Queens location and invest in customer service training for the very young and inexperienced staff.
