I've been coming here for years; it's one of the best and most casual sushi and ramen spots in Williamsburg. If you're looking for some delicious, well-priced food, eat here. And its BYOB.
I just came with my wife a some friends to have a very late night dinner, and I will say that the food was incredible, and the service from Ronald was excellent, he surprised us with a tempura cake as one of my friend was celebrating her birthday, once again excellent everything, thanks.
Nice small place; just a handful of tables. Service was very nice. Our server was polite. The food was very good and well priced. My only complaint was that the ramen I had could've had a bit more seasoning, but otherwise it was a good meal. Certainly a good place to eat at.
Went at about 4:30pm on a Friday afternoon. Server was really friendly. We got salmon roll, shrimp tempura roll, dancing dragon roll, another roll (had spicy yellowtail and tuna and kani), and a side of rock shrimp. Everything was delicious and tasted fresh. Prices are unbeatable. Overall, pleasant experience. I’ve been here about 4 times and everytime has been good.
Jolene is an amazing host! She always makes us feel welcomed and has our order memorized. I appreciate everything she does! The food is also delicious
I get take out from here. It’s the best teriyaki in town, and I’ve tried a lot. Always reliable, fast, and delicious.
Food was actually really good and the prices were even better! No matter what you order, you're not breaking the bank. And it helps they were open late. Really good food after an awesome concert.
I tried this place out on a late Friday afternoon (6-9-2017). It was a small space and mostly empty. I ordered an eel avocado roll, shrimp tempura roll, salmon sushi and scallop sushi (aka nigiri if you're coming from the west coast like myself). It was some of the *best* sushi that I have ever had, and I'm a snob in this regard having had sushi from many, many restaurants around the country. The bill came and it was $10 and change, granted they had a special going on but still, wow. I'm definitely going back the next time I'm in the NYC area.
We ordered shumai and tonkatsu ramen. Both came out in good time and were delicious. You can’t beat the prices here either. Will definitely be back.
My favorite ramen/sushi place in Brooklyn. I come here at least once a week you won't be disappointed.
The food was PHENOMENAL!!!!! We got the Ramen, scallion pancakes, and fried calamari.
I LOVE coming to this resteraunt because I know I will without a doubt have the most amazing sashimi or sushi set infront of me. The atmosphere is very casual and theres always lots of space to sit and from what I can see they do a roaring trade in Delivery too..A++++
An amazing hole in the wall!! We walked in at 12:15 am and the hostess was so sweet. She told us to take our time and that we could order as much as we wanted until 12:45 am. The service was so quick and the sushi was incredible. We had the spicy girl roll, miso salmon tempura roll, black pepper tuna avocado roll, and the salmon lover roll. It was all amazing! Thank you for the wonderful food and service.
Fukuyama is a delivery GOLD. Excellent Japanese food delivered in 15 to 30 minutes at most. Excellent chicken katsu, excellent veggie sushi (umeboshi shiso!), and even their pad thai, which I wouldn’t normally order from a Japanese restaurant, is amazing!
Came here on a networking date. Wait staff attended to us patiently, as we yapped away with our networking banter and courteously served picture perfect dishes with the Japanese spirit of ramen. As ramen goes, the egg went well with the broth, which worked with the chicken to serve a flavorful aroma. 5 Stars. Would suffer transportation from classes again.
No frills type of space. Kind and welcoming staff with fast service. Looks like they do a lot of sushi delivery but I went for ramen. Got the black garlic tonkotsu which was fantastic. The largest portion I've had in NYC so far and at an extremely reasonable price. I wish I had room to finish the entire bowl. Will definitely be visiting again :)
Both sushi/sashimi and ramen options were good! The ramen'a broth was very flavorful and sashimi was fresh.
Nice affordable option for a healthy gluten free lunch - ask for the salmon with just salt and pepper. Delicately crisp on the outside, moist on the side, with fresh steamed vegetables and rice. :) They were very nice about accommodating when asked.
Great sushi spot in the neighborhood. It's tiny with a small dining room. The sushi here was delicious. The ramen stood out. Normally, restaurants that do not specialize in ramen have very lackluster ramen, but the broth here was very flavorful and the noodles were nice and chewy.
Best calamari, its super fresh just like their sushi and try to sushi with the calamari orange sauce!!! As a meal the spicy miso ramen is amazing!!! Get with all the meats if you're a carnivore and enjoy! 😋
Solid local Japanese restaurant! I walked in on a Thursday and was seated right away. Lunch specials are great ($10-15) and I was full.
Came for dinner, started with some Kani Salad to start, 4 sushi rolls+ some shrimp nigiri, before two bowls of Ramen.
We originally had plans to eat at Suzume, the neighboring “Asian” joint. One look at their menu and the other customers there sent us right out the door and directly searching for a spot more suitable to our tastebuds. We were so delighted to have come across Fukuyama! It seems like they get a bunch of to-go orders, but they had a cozy and cute dine-in area too. The fish was so fresh for a small sushi joint and service was quick! We got the tri-color sushi rolls, yellowtail & jalapeño appetizer, a sashimi appetizer (not pictured), and a blue devil roll (not pictured). Everything was tasty and such a good price. Definitely found my go-to sushi spot
I love coming to this place for the ramen and the fried rice 😋
Solid little Asian fusion joint. My partner and I came here after a show at BK Monarch. Decent ramen, great veggie gyoza, and great service.
Sushi and sashimi were delicious. Some of the best Ramen I have had in NYC as well. Only about 4-6 tables available to dine in.
Small but cozy place. I ordered vegetable Udon and miso ramen and both were delicious. It’s very affordable and nice place. It’s nice to visit☺️

Fantastic gem of a place we found before a concert at Brooklyn Steel. Very modest and you may not suspect how amazing it is. Service was quick and food was fresh and absolutely delicious. Wish we lived close enough to come back but highly recommend some of the best sushi, Ramen and fried green tea ice cream we’ve ever had. server was attentive and very considerate. A++++
Good sushi, great prices with an unbeatable lunch special, 2 rolls for only $10 with a soup or salad. Its a small restaurant but they can seat up to 20 guests. And they do have a restroom! Highly recommend!

If you're looking for really good sushi, go here! The fish was amazing and VERY well priced for NYC. All of the sushi we got (nigiri, sashimi, and rolls) were amazing. The edamame had a good amount of salt and was hot. The udon noodles with chicken however was a bit oily for our taste. I would stick to sushi from here, but highly recommend!
Customer service could have been better; they are more concerned with their delivery orders than their sit downs. Besides that though, the ramen was tasty and came out quickly! Not my first choice of ramen places but I wouldn’t mind coming here again. B+
Solid sushi spot. Good vegetarian options for rolls (peanut/avocado and mushroom/avocado specifically) and the fish rolls are tasty as well. Only ever gotten delivery and it comes fast as well.
Wandering rather late around the area day after imposing early darkness upon us, musing about my literary fantasy & walking toward the BrooklLyn Library branch where Francis Nolan was a patron, then became aware about FukuYama. I will stop for Udon, so made an order prior to close. I believe the order was changed though, as I chose the Ebi with Yasai or Kakiage (Vegetable) Tempura version Udon but received the NebeYaki version with the Egg & some Ebi Tempura, still nice ... & may have charged me a discount, at least it was a dollar less than their online menu, Arigato! Prolly cuz I vacillated among so many choices even several Udon versions then tried order by recalling Nihongo that I rarely speak anyway, of course communications made difficult by PPE or wearing my gaiter because it's chilly & I've got sniffles anyway likely RhinoVirus from somewhere somebody somehow despite going nearly full decon with face cover, gloves, beside trying to manage hygiene & sanitation despite my situation including health issues with lingering chronic & aggravated injuries so ironic that another matter(s) had already compelled me to NYC & the medical facilities anyway for their capabilities, as always good nutrition vital in maintaining health & those choices are still under my (your & everybody's) control although challenging as that may be & likely inherent with life's struggle & human condition that is still retaining responsibility for individual choices (along with requisite accountability) while exercising control which already befits my character beside acknowledge confront resolve bias misinfo disinfo miseducation oppression ... I was already Meta, the raging Sage. Any wonder about this compulsion involving risks in itself but a necessary journey & effort in overcoming & obtaining better opps that I desire & deserve so I continue roaming & seeking? Also may surprise people when I do attempt Japanese, but I'm lightweight since using Romanji script. There's a RamenYa in Brooklyn & I'm returning to further sample their amazingly extensive massively appealing & nutritious menu.
All the Japanese dishes are delicious. Their Thai menu is subpar. The menu here tends to be on the sweeter side. Coconut curry will be quite sweet. If you expect savory sauces with foods such as calamari or shumai, expect to be disappointed. If you enjoy sweeter sauces, this is your spot. Again, order the Japanese food and for the love of God, do not order the pad thai... the smell is simply atrocious.
8/9/23 I went for takeout and I want to tell you the honest opinion. You get what you pay for. What are you expecting? The food I got it good for their price. The cashier was good. Even the place is most likely taken out or delivery but I'm glad there are affordable sushi place nearby my home. If you want to dine in they don't have alcohol, but you can buy it from outside 2/10/22 Another day for sushi and some delicious Japanese food. I got a delivery order this time. My food arrived on time without missing anything. - Kani Salad : Good potion for appetizer and good price. - Dallas roll : Tuna, Shrimp, avocado, caviar and spicy mayo. Delicious! - Rainbow Naroto Roll : Interesting roll, If you are on diet or low carb I recommended! Tuna, salmon, yellowtail with avocado and caviar roll with crisp cucumber. - Tri color Sushi : 3 pieces of Tuna, Salmon, Yellowtail sushi. with rainbow roll. This is my main order. The potion is good for 2 person. Overall in my opinion this restaurant is good for taking out of delivery. Price is good for the quality of fish. If you are too lazy to cook after all day working, I recommended.
I had a decent experience here. It was not crowded. There is lots of street parking around the area. Food came out quickly. The mango kani salad was good. I also had the fried soft shell crab app. It comes with a sauce that is mildly salty. The sashimi platter came with 5 different fishes. They were ok, not the freshest but tasted fine.

Came for a late lunch on a Sunday. Sadly, we were 5 mins too late to get the lunch specials. We got the ramen, which was fine, and a spicy tuna roll, which was pretty good. We also ordered the kakuni buns, which were pretty good. Was also a bit surprised and disappointed that they didn’t serve any alcohol at all.

I’ve been to this place a few times in 2025. The first three times I came here, they were basically everything I wanted and hoped for as their food is tasty, reasonable serving sized, and reasonably priced. Unfortunately my 4th time coming here was an absolute disappointment! I did not know that on Tuesdays, they were not open until 5 PM and I had to stand 25 minutes in the freezing cold after I got off the subway before being able to come inside. Once I got in and ordered, they completely misinterpreted my order when I said that I wanted my teriyaki chicken to have No Vegetables, but they gave it it me with loads of vegetables underneath the chicken and they said “Here you go Chicken Teriyaki with vegetables and indicating every vegetable they added”. I told them that I didn’t want any vegetables and I was quite upset about that, they were sorry but then as I least expected someone walked into the restaurant with a little kid and I feared that my peace was gonna be disturbed so I decided to leave because of how this visit went terribly wrong for me. Maybe I will come back in the future, but I really hope this kind of situation is more understood because I am a picky eater with tense budgets and I really hate it when bad mistakes occur on my orders, or when my peace in a restaurant gets disturbed by little kids/babies.
Ordered takeout from here. They sent the tuna tartar without anything to actually eat it with. The chicken katsu was good. Roll was fine. Nothing special.

Terrible inauthentic food. Yah it’s edible but the BBQ pork buns were so inauthentic and hardly had any filling. I was in a pinch and ordered delivery bc craving Asian food but this isn’t it. Wasn’t expecting the fried calamari to be so heavily battered like onion ring consistency. The ramen was decent.
Spicy tuna tastes fishy and smells kind of off. I didn't eat it. Tested the other fishes by taking them out of their rolls to taste. They're alright. Not high quality, but seem safe at least. I don't know. I wouldn't order sushi from here. Maybe their ramen is good?
Ordered some sushi through UberEats and was deeply underwhelmed by the food we got. Tiny portions and super fake looking wasabi. The sushi itself was pretty mediocre too - supermarket sushi is honestly better.
3 HOURS FOR A SIMPLE DELIVERY???? Very bad service!!! At least provide a decent service and inform your costumers that that order can’t be delivered! If the problem is related to Geabhub, just save your reputation and get off the app!!!! Better than be so disrespectful with costumers!!!
