A pretty hidden spot to grab casual Chinese breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you’re walking. They also have small pastries and appetizer dishes. Portion is always good. Service is quick and great.
Known for their minced pork buns (called soup dumplings in the store), this place offers plenty of quick foods and classic dishes.
I love the food, but I love gmart tomato sale better today cheapest in the entire New York city.
Nice place to grab a casual breakfast. Plenty of seating available.
Wonderful food, good service, and private tables upstairs!

The food was delicious with huge portions. The chef was really nice Definitely recommend!
It can be overwhelming coming in here, but there is a gentleman who is so helpful and patient with me. He recommended items for me and made it easy. I get anxiety but he was so chill and kind I actually sat and ate at a table, fully comfortable. Food is great!
Great place for lunch!! Dumplings and lunch box for only $11. The veggies and fish are so delicious. Serving sizes are huge for the price. They fill the boxes all the way to the brim. The pork and cabbage dumplings were great! They also have frozen dumplings $20 for 50 dumplings. Cash only.
this restaurant has a very wide variety of food. they have so many different meats, dishes, and baked goods all made fresh, everything looked delicious. I came here for breakfast and got youtiao with soy milk and veggie buns and it was all really tasty. the prices are reasonable. the only downside is the tables are a bit dirty so takeout might be a good choice. but everything about this place felt like I was back in asia haha! if you want authentic chinese food, give this place a try.
The best Asian food I’ve had since coming to New York. Rice and 3 vegetarian dishes for $8.50. The chef was so helpful, explaining all the dishes to us. Highly, highly recommend!
Not useful are those previous reviews. Qing Dao Restaurant is not for everyone, because they don't cater to the broadest cross section, etc. That be impractical. They are a small band of survivors of the underground (literally) food courts of the pre-pandemic era. They've evolved little. You don't need to speak Chinese to order food. Just point and indicate S, M or L. It would help if you are into DIY. Because, surveying and then gathering together your meal will take an adventurous spirit to explore. But once you sample their wares, you'll find mastery in each section of this micro-sized food court. That's the main difference between them and a typical "restaurant's" claim that "everything is good". Because, each booth/stand has it's own area of expertise. Therefore, there are no Chef's specialties because they are all Chefs' specialties. I'd only recommend they install a professional grade microwave oven for patrons to warm up their staples, etc. Most nights a party of a dozen or so can claim the entire upper dining balcony all to themselves. In that event, please tip appropriately.
This place can be a little pricey depending what you are getting, but the fuqi feipian (“Man and wife dish”) in the cold food section is really great. It goes by weight and you can mix it with other cold meats, I like the marinated tendon too. Atmosphere is not great so I would take it to go. I didn’t notice a bad attitude (as other reviewers are saying), some staff members don’t speak English, but they try to understand.

Got the beef “burger” to go before getting on the subway. Turns out it was tongue. Wasn’t ready for that but still it wasn’t that bad

I used to think this place offered the most appetizing rice combo meals. Their price is slightly higher or for the same price you can get an additional entree at other establishments, but their entrees were tastier and fresher. Not anymore. I had their fish slices today, as one of my entrees, and it smelled funky. I ate it anyway and had runs the whole evening. I no longer feel they have the best rice combo meals in Flushing.

So bad. Imagine you just crave for a steamed yellow corn and the thing that they'll give you is old and dry. The place looks pretty decent but the food looks different. As soon as i took a bite i felt like i bit on corn cardboard. I tried to have it changed but the guy don't want and always saying everything is same. I ended up giving him the corn and told him to throw it away.
I brought two bags of bao zi from Qing Dao restaurant. When I got home and opened the bags, all the bao zi were soggy. The following day I returned both bags and asked for an exchange. Although they were aware of the mushy bao zi, the staff declined to exchange it. Qing Dao restaurant knew about the bad batch of bao zi and they decided to sell it to customers. Making customers pay for their error. I would recommend you buy bao zi from another restaurant.
The boss of this restaurant is super nasty! One night I wanted a duck from this restaurant street- sell -counter. It was dark at night, so I couldn’t see clearly. Then the male boss sold me one, and told me that it was duck. When I got home, it was actually chicken! In fact, this restaurant didn’t sell duck at all, the nasty male boss cheated Chinese customers to make money! Won’t go to this restaurant forever! Since the male boss has so mean personality!
On 7/25, my mother and I ordered two dinner boxes of 4 choices+1 soup, and the waiter didn’t tell us what soup we were receiving. After we got the dinner box and the soup, after we went home then we noticed that the soup was a red bean soup, and it tasted obviously spoiled. Furthermore, the eggplant that we receive also tasted really sour. Then, at 7/30, we went back to the restaurant and the waiter refused to give us a refund for the soup and wouldn’t exchange the soup.
Poor service attitude. When I tried to replace my soy milk because it was spoiled, the waiter refused to replace it. Furthermore, the soy milk was spoiled to the level that the soy milk started to have tofu on the bottom
