If you want the best Mediterranean food you've ever tasted..this is the place. Seriously. Im a big fan and have tried Mediterranean food all over the united states but this was truly the best I've ever had. Portions are generous, hummus is to die for amongst all the other things! As an example I ordered the chicken plate (I never order chicken) and it was STILL the best I've had!!

Came by to pick up an order and was greeted with remarkable, authentically genuine service. Had to tip solely off of the good energy alone. The food came prepared with the sauce, utensils and napkins already in the bag. The food: outstanding. Truly is some of the best in the area and a must try. 10/10 would absolutely recommend and return!

Made quite a detour, craving for shawarma on a road trip, dissing our usual restaurants to find these gentlemen super polite and customer-focused running a food truck by the gas station, bringing these long filling sandwiches to your car! Beef or chicken shawarma with the tanginess of a garlic sauce.

Friendly people. Showed up at 11:15pm Friday with my husband and got absolutely amazing food. Gyro was tender, the basmati rice fluffy, hummus on point. We order two plates of food and there's so much that we both were able to only eat half of one plate, so we're going to be eating this all weekend. I am not mad about this!

INTOXICATING shawarma! I was STUNNED by the crispy bread, flavorful meat, fresh veggies, and creamy sauce. Definitely try this truck.

Stellar! Our friends told us that this was their favorite place to go in town so we tried it. I’m so glad we did because the food is the best Middle Eastern food we have had in years! The bread, rice, and veggies are wonderful. The meats and the sauces were perfectly seasoned. The falafel is unique and yummy. Finally, treat yourself to some Muhammara!

We stopped here on a whim and it did not disappoint! We ordered two of the gyro lamb wraps. I was hesitant to try it being wrapped in a tortilla, but I got over that pretty quickly. It's pressed and toasted on each side which only added to the flavor, and the lamb was excellent. We each tried the spicy sauce they added to our bag. It IS spicy! But if you like a little kick without detracting from the traditional flavors, you'll likely enjoy this. We also tried the Dubai milk and white chocolate bars. Y'all. Y'ALL! This stuff is a.maz.ing. I'm generally a milk chocolate gal, but the white chocolate was far superior in this case. I suggest you try both, as the milk chocolate was still excellent. All in all, this was a great experience. I'm already looking forward to our next trip into the city!

When you think of 'Halal' think of this place! We are very 'picky' on our schwarmas (as they differ on various regions/countries), but this place packs all those flavors into a delicately juicy wrap that makes you feel emotionally warm. Their service is something to commemorate too, as they insisted on helping me purchase food for a homeless gentleman near by. This place truly symbolizes what 'Halal' means and our responsibility to all beings.

AMAZING!! The staff were kind and friendly, and the food is definitely made with love. I got the Gyro Lamb Arabi and it was some of the most tender lamb I’ve ever had 💖 The pickled veggies were perfectly sour and peppered, and the taziki sauce was addicting!! I would definitely get a side of fries, they were pipping hot and full of flavor! We also got this pretty late at night (10PMish) and getting something this fresh and fast at that hour is godsend 😭

The freshest, most delicious Mediterranean food in town. I’ve had the gyro plate before, which was excellent, and recently gave the falafel a try as well as the lamb and beef shawarmas as well. Not only is it made with love, but the staff here are great with customer service and showing love as well. Well within my top 5 food truck spots in all of SATX. Go and try it, you won’t be disappointed!

This is the first food review Ive ever left, and for good reason. The owner was kind and welcoming to our entire group- and encouraged us to sit and eat at the dining area around the truck. The food was delicious, and was clearly cooked with intention and care. The prices were reasonable and fair. Had our whole table talking about how special food truck culture is in the US.

King of Shawarma is a great place to go and have Shawarma and other Mediterranean food. The guy who work in the evening is super cool. He always entertain the customer with the good talks and the great service. It’s a foot truck, but I would save that menu and the products and the service they have. It’s a restaurant itself. Really amazing service the man at the window was helpful and very friendly. We had a great conversation and he gave us free water while waiting for our food. I stumbled upon this food truck parked on the side of a Valero gas station, and while the location might seem unusual, it’s totally worth it. There’s plenty of parking space, and the food truck itself has a clean, inviting area right in front where you order. The lamb gyro was incredible—tender, flavorful, and perfectly wrapped. The fries on the side were a great touch, crispy and well-seasoned. Don’t let the setting fool you—this spot serves up some seriously delicious food. Highly recommend! Our first time, We live about an hour away but we were in town for a movie. We searched what was nearby for a quick pickup/bite and this gem popped up! So happy we decided to come here. Flavor was SOOOOO GOOD, fries the right crisp to them, veggies were pickled (very nice twist to them & they’re great). We decided to try chicken & the gyro arabi platter. Service was awesome. We had let the gentleman that was taking care of us that night that it was our first time, he was patient in describing differences in the menu, & even went out of his way to offer a drink on the house something we had never tried before. Service + good food is a great combo if you ask me!

This man is amazing! I live in Austin and there are Mediterranean food trucks on every corner but I’m at home visiting family in San Antonio where there is not. I was really craving just some gyro over fries (which I always get in Austin) so I drive over to this food truck and to my surprise they didn’t offer that so I asked if they could make it and with no hesitation whatsoever he did it! Honestly I have to say it is even better than all of the trucks I have tried in Austin! If I could give higher than 5 stars I would! The meat and fries were hot and fresh when given to me and were packed with flavor! He also gave me all the sauce option I would need ever! 10/10 experience I could not recommend here enough!

This is some fantastic mediterranean food. I chose to come here on a whim because of the good reviews. I can confirm that the reviews are accurate. Between my girlfriend and I we had the Beef Shawarma wrap and the Gyro. Being from out of town, it seemed to be not the greatest of areas, but they have really good lighting and I never felt unsafe. Overall, I have this placed saved on my favorites lists because of how good the food was. Definitely worth a visit! If you get to meet Henry he is a fantastic man and such a pleasure to talk to. His service went above and beyond what we would even get at a sit down restaurant, let alone a food truck next to a gas station. So a special shout out to Henry for going above and beyond, you were amazing and once again, thank you for the fantastic service!

As a chef, this is the best plate of food I've had in awhile period. I stopped by after a Dr appt and got the mixed kebob plate and the garlic sauce appetizer The plate was huge, enough for my lunch, snack and dinner that night. Everything, the rice, the meats, the garlic sauce, was incredible. A lot of places don't even have garlic sauce and it's one of my favorite dips and there's was absolutely amazing. It’s a food truck by the gas station but one of the most delicious chicken shawarma wraps that I have had. Everything from the seasoned juicy chicken, garlic sauce and special spicy sauce, crinkled cut fries, and the pickled veggies made for a yummy meal. I absolutely loved the small addition of the sliced lemons and the customer service.

My daughter and I love to try new food. Went here last night and we had tons of questions and the guy at the window took the time to answer each one in detail. Even gave us a drink to try since we were so intrigued by the menu. Super nice guy, humble and respectful. And the food! We got two lamb gyros, and boy were they amazing! Great flavor, tzatziki sauce on point, and their Dubai chocolate was also great!!!. Went back for another chocolate bar just to take home. Definitely recommend this family owned truck. Damn the lamb gyro wrap was too good. I would definitely come back for more. I dunno if it's gets crowded how they handle the parking or lines but when I visited it was easy peasy. So yeah parking is a bit difficult to find here.

Amazing food! The beef kabob wrap was 10 out of 10! The beef was tender and perfectly seasoned, the veggies in the wrap were fresh and the wrap itself was grilled to perfection without being overly thick. The Dubai chocolate dessert was top notch & the strawberries in it were very fresh & juicy. Although this is a food truck at a gas station, there are several benches that made for a nice place to eat on the spot. The eating area was clean and well tended to. Definitely coming back!

Tried this spot on a friend’s recommendation and it didn’t disappoint! I ordered the chicken shawarma arabi, beef shawarma arabi, and the falafel plate. The chicken shawarma was flavorful, and while the beef was good, I’m not sure I’d order it again. But the falafel? Absolutely incredible — perfectly crispy, full of flavor, and instantly reminded me of the authentic falafel I’ve had during trips to the Middle East. It’s easily the highlight of the meal and something I’d 100% recommend. Definitely planning to return and will be telling all my family and friends about this place — especially for the falafel!

2 weekends and my first 2 trips to King of Shawarma and Kabab. First, I had a beef shawarma arabi plate (pickled veggies, hummus and fries) and then a mixed kabab plate (chicken and beef, rice, salad, hummus, 4 pieces of bread with onion and cilantro) with a small kanafa for dessert. The flavors are outstanding, service super friendly, and the prices are very fair for the quality and quantity of food. The hummus is easily some of the best I can recall. Pictured is the kabab plate and the sweet, cheesy, creamy, crispy, down right delicious kanafa. Highly recommended.

If you are a mediterranean food fan this is a MUST! Best mediterranean place in SA! We ordered grape leaves which are my favorite and they are amazing! We also got 2 plates: the gyro lamb plate & the mix plate. They both came with greek salad, rice, and the best hummus you have ever tasted! Let’s not forget the falafel donut bites! The quality of the shawarma is good but the sauce flavor is sour which I didn't like.

Service here is amazing!! Got the family meal and the chicken kebabs were really great, but was not a huge fan of the beef kebabs as I felt that they were tough and not as flavorful. I really liked the tortilla that was filled…not really sure what it was, but it came with the meal and it was delicious. I can’t wait to go back and try other items on their menu.

Located in a gas station parking lot right off busy Wurzbach Rd, King of Shawarma & Kabab Food Truck provided hot food with kind but distant service. My family of four decided to cheat on our regular shawarma guy (Abu Omar) and try someplace else, and since this was everyone's "to try" list, we journeyed out on a Sunday afternoon. This area of Wurzbach is notoriously busy, but we were able to park alongside the Valero gas station where the food truck is set up. There are a couple of picnic tables and a porta-john within a few steps of the food truck. I don't know if the latter is for the food truck patrons or not, though. Hanging out in the "outdoor dining area" in a gas station parking lot with traffic whizzing by wasn't my idea of ambiance so we decided we were going to eat in the car. We checked out the menu and weren't initially greeted by the lone employee in the truck, but I'll chalk that up to him being busy setting up for the day. When we were ready, we ordered Chicken Arabis (wraps filled with chicken shawarma), a Chicken Gyro plate, and a Mixed Gyro plate. Our gyro plates came with a small salad, rice, hummus, and what was called pita bread but resembled and tasted like a paratha (which is a good thing). The hummus, in my opinion, lacked garlic, and the rice and chicken were both bland, but the plate was filling and hot. My husband also agreed that the meat lacked seasoning, but he finished his plate. The red sauce that came with the plates was spicy, but lacked any other flavor. The garlic sauce, which I'm assuming is toum, was really tasty and packed that garlicky flavor. I dumped it on my chicken and rice, and it turned out to be a great idea. Our kids enjoyed their Arabis but also agreed that the meat was bland. The food was delivered to our car by the man who took our order, which alone was worth a star. The total for our meals, with drinks and a tip, was $74, which is a steal nowadays. I recommend trying this food truck in the area since flavor preferences are subjective. The quality and price make it worthwhile if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to return.

The shawarma’s are ok! Pretty decent portion but the sauce that goes into them kind of put down the taste. The white garlic sauce was better. The Dubai chocolate cups were tiny considering $12 and also just filled with more fruit than anything. I would expect a pretty decent size cup considering it’s just nothing but cheap fill chocolate. The outside of the food truck was clean and nice atmosphere.

Second time here in over a year food still sucks. Chicken is dry and there is a white sauce that tastes like mayo. For $14 it tasted like a worse version of a crunch-wrap supreme from taco bell.

It was the worst shawarma I've ever had. It had lots of onions, lots of sauce, and very little meat. The meat was probably left over from the previous day. I don't understand how it got 4.8 points.

We were so looking forward to trying this place out after reading all these highly rated reviews only to be let down because it definitely does not taste authentic. We’ve eaten at a lot of Lebanese and Syrian places here and abroad and this is a big no for us unfortunately. We ordered the 2 falafel and 1 beef kebab sandwiches and they were dripping oil and the flavors were just not there. We honestly only ate the kebab which was just ok and barely half the falafel sandwiches which we had to remove most of the vegetables bc they turned to mush, we couldn’t taste the pickles or the tahini sauce which had a lot of cumin and other spices which is a staple for a fresh tasting falafel sandwich. Won’t be coming back and we ate what we manage to eat as we paid for the food.

I recently visited King Shawarma after hearing a lot about it. Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. This review is strictly about the food, not the service. The staff member who took my order was polite and provided good service. However, the meat was undercooked and the overall flavor was nowhere close to authentic shawarma. The branding looks good, but the food quality needs serious improvement. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience.

found a fly in my food. this is gross🤮 Everything else was good but this is horrible. do better EDIT: I hate to do this but you are claiming that these are not your fry boxes but I literally ordered from you last night sir. Instead of apologizing you cannot come on here and claim that these are not your fry boxes. Look at the other reviews post on this page it’s the SAME to go boxes as the one i posted. The fries were good, however there was a FLY in my food, that looked fried up in grease. I did not notice this until i was almost done eating which makes me question the sanitation of this truck. I will never be going to your food truck again cause this is ridiculous.
