Love this type of food. I have a favorite place in NYC that is similar to this place. I compared the sauce of the boil and it was close to that. Maybe their’s is just a little runny. I love how they served it in a pan with fire under. This kept it warm. They are very accommodating. I don’t like potatoes so they instead doubled the corn serving and sausage was not added as requested. Servers are attentive and nice.

We drove an hour and a half away to come here. We had a mom's night out and it was everything we wanted and more! Will was absolutely amazing! This was my first seafood boil and they blew it out of the park! 10 out of 10 for everything!

Can't believe i haven't reviewed this place. I'm a seafood lover.... As a Jamaican, I care zero for oxtails, curried goat or jerk chicken...... GIVE ME SEAFOOD! This place has the BEST seafood in Albany. Once I'm on vacation this is my go to spot. The serving sizes are huge for the prices! Can't wait for my trip summer to get a delicious seafood boil with that punish me sauce. And by the way.... they have the BEST WINGS also. Boil Shack, you're the best!!!!!! You never disappoint From a real Jamaican ❤️

If you love seafood, there is by far no better boil in the Capital Region than The Boil Shack. The portions are generous. The seasoning is done your way, and the flavor is bountiful. Take the opportunity to enjoy seafood done right. It's worth the trip. You will enjoy your food. The Ramen is a wonderful addition to your plate that you won't regret.

We had a great meal. Started with steamed little neck clams. Then the special was 2 whole lobsters, corn and potatoes and sausages for $54. We added corn bread(delicious) and a couple of adult beverages and a dessert. Price with tip came to about $120...fantastic. Wait staff was attentive without being pushy.

Everything was terrific. From host the server, and yes they do have the robot server but our waitress wanted to chat it up so she elected to hand deliver our food. She did send the robot over so we could have the experience though. The food was just as described. The portions were as expected and the taste was as described. I'll definitely be back.

Boil Shack was Absolutely Hoping on Valentines Day! Many Reservations. Positively Perfect Quality & Price Specials for the Special Occassion. Spot on Atmosphere, Service very friendly and quick. We had a Perfect Start to our Special Evening. Would Highly Recommend A+

Very good experience. Obviously the seafood is all frozen so its not spectacular but it is prepared and presented well. Great service, comfortable booths and pleasant music on. I really like this place. Its a winner

Very good overall. Service was attentive, but a little slow. Remembering my dad saying that it takes a chef to prepare food. Have we gotten too used to heat and eat? Anyway, I had my first boil, and I'll be back.

We had the stone crab boil and added scallops, with the explosion flavor, its a mix of all the sauces, a great choice, everything was delicious, but a little light on the accompaniments such as sausage in the boil and a bit pricey, but we enjoyed our meal!

Good seafood broil in upstate New York. However, I think the price is leaning towards the expensive end, but understandable considering it’s upstate New York and not near the coast. I will definitely give this place a chance and try it for yourself before listening to other reviews about the price and taste! Totally recommending this place to try!

Great atmosphere and great staff. Food was good and prices were good. I would go back again we had the option 1 boiled bag with the lemon pepper flavoring. The lemon pepper was lightly seasoned I would have like a little bit more seasoning. Another thing to note is when your order for the seafood bag is anything you order comes in 1LB increments instead of 1/2LB like some places do. The Voodoo shrimp were amazing some of the best shrimp I’ve had. The only thing I wasn’t happy with is the gratuity we had to pay for a party of four.

Food was good. Its for sure a new experience. Staff friendly, seemed clean. Its a seafood place, and knowing that, I knew it was gonna be expensive. But to add gratuity to the bill is off putting. I tip solely on the experience I have with a server. Great service= great tip. Poor service= poor tip. I may try it again. But for 85 bucks for 4 crab legs, ill just go to price chopper lol. But if you want a new experience, give it a try

I have dined at this restaurant many times while in town for work, but my recent visit was disappointing. I requested a boil bag with $10 worth of ingredients removed due to food allergies and a $2 substitution added. The staff declined the request. When I raised the issue with the manager, he was unprofessional and dismissive. I will no longer be returning and will advise others to consider alternative seafood restaurants.
