This place hits the spot and tastes great continually, Family atmosphere bring your young kids Elder kids all your kids super clean, Dimitri And Family know exactly what they’re doing to keep you coming back. Price right and you’re always taking something to go because it’s not a small order. Pictured below is that everything wrap. I ate half bringing the other half. Was perfect and the coffee is the best. Sometimes I just come through get a medium coffee and leave if I’m not trying to gain any weight😂

Great little Diner. Breakfast is great. Home fries with onions and crispy are good. Omelette's are huge
Breakfast was excellent. Good meal for the money. Service was excellent! Can't wait to stop by again!!!
This a cute and quaint little old school diner. The service and food is homely. Def our new breakfast spot.
Great hole in the wall place. Local eatery, greasy spoon style. Friendly people and good food. 👍
Every time I go to Albany NY, I always get breakfast from this great place. Excellent food and service.
Always consistent always quick
Classic diner experience brings me back to my childhood
It's a trucker diner. It's great for a bacon-and-eggs type breakfast when you're not able to make one at home. The staff is fantastic, parking is good, the food is fair.
Amazing food and fast service. Love the old school diner atmosphere. Could use new flooring and replacement of some broken stools at the counter.
Great hidden gem of a Diner!!!
I had the bisquits and gravy. It was excellent! Nice cozy atmosphere and excellent food. The coffee was good too. It had a touch of cinnamon, which I like.
Great diner food. Quick, nice service and good atmosphere.
I just had the best eggs Benedict in the area. Egg sandwich was delicious as well.
Fabulous little diner. This is the quaint little "greasy spoon" we all love. Small, tables and counter, bacon for miles and great hash
Cute little place that is easy to be missed, but so worth finding. Great food, great service and friendly smiles that makes you feel at home.
On first glance, Inga's Diner looks like it's not open for business (unless the parking lot is full). When walking in you wouldn't expect much from this run down little place. There was one waitress and a single cook running the whole place. The waitress was running around the whole time we were there keeping up with every table and she didn't forget a single thing. She was very kind and sweet. The feel of the diner makes you feel like your having breakfast or lunch at someone's home. The food was delicious and everything was well made and well presented. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants a good morning to come here. They open at 6am everyday except Sunday (8am) and are open until 2pm everyday.
The platonic ideal of an egg breakfast at a diner.
A hidden little gem. Was on a work trip in Albany and iHOP was packed so went to this spot. Looks old and vintage but the food and service is over the top. Highly recommend the chocolate chip pancakes.
Fabulous food, wonderful polite and friendly waitress named Bianca. Waitress was professional and friendly.
Love this place I'm a regular so coffee is brought over as I'm sitting down. It's a cozy "Cheers" like feeling. Not to mention the food is amazing home cook goodness.
Good Greek diner with real food and a real world short order cook right behind the counter. Your welcomed as soon as you walk in and the service is spot on. Great value, great taste and good people!
Excellent breakfast. Small quaint local diner I grew up with. You would pass it on the road if you didn't know how good it is. Worth stopping in if you are looking for a great breakfast
Saw was still open earlier in the week. Went here many many years ago with my dad.. Took a buddy here today for lunch.. Food came fast.. Staff was friendly.. the bacon cheeseburger with fry's hit the spot...
Great food and atmosphere!
Great spot good food good service friendly atmosphere
Great food!! We stopped for a quick breakfast before a flight. Breakfast was great Boom Boom Benedict was fantastic. Great sausage with the truckers special and my son had a breakfast sandwich which he said was the best breakfast hes had all week. (He played at cooperstown)
Great food. Hash browns are homemade and so good. Gets busy and doesn't have tables for more than 4 people.
Here for the weekend and was so refreshing to enjoy a real diner again because where we live, they have become extinct. Friendly service, warm and welcoming, and delicious food…oh and fast service as well.
Excellent place definitely worth going to again. Nice people.
Awesome little diner! Perfect for a relaxed brunch with friends and family. Our server was amazing and so kind. Even with the Sunday morning rush, she took the time to still be attentive and kind to us and make room for our group or 6. The food was so yummy. We all got breakfast sandwiches and home fries and it was perfect
Visiting the Albany area. Ate here two mornings in a row, excellent service!
I stopped in for the first time on 12/10 to have breakfast. It’s a small, comfortable vintage diner. I ordered the small stack of French toast and the two I eggs over easy with home fries and ham. My plan was to have leftovers for the next day. I ate almost everything, which is unusual for me. The French toast was really good, served with a little powdered sugar and hint of cinnamon - quite tasty! The ham was excellent - everything was. I will definitely be back. The waitress was friendly and efficient and clearly well known by the customers. Yes prices were a little higher than other places but the quality of food and service was too. Good workers need a decent wage and businesses need to survive. I don’t mind paying and tipping a little more when I leave happy.
I went in to a quick grab a bite to eat and I wish I had more time as I would have gotten other items on the menu but had to keep it simple, it was delicious and helped me keep fueled up for my long tricycle ride.
Cute little diner with breakfast basics. The food was fresh and made quick. Overall great experience.
The appearance might detour you but once inside its fantastic. Super friendly staff. The food is wonderful. I've never had Eggs Benedict that yummy before! The potatoes are cooked to perfection. I highly recommend Inge's. Great food at a great price....see you soon!
Loved my breakfast was delicious will go back again everything was cooked perfectly 👌 would've taken a picture but was hungry 😋 I ordered a breakfast sandwich w ham and sausage also homefrys w Hollandaise sauce so good ...
Loved, loved, loved this place! Great basic breakfast food, super service, good prices, and nice casual atmosphere inside. As others noted, don't let the exterior worry ya! If you're in the area (I travel often for work and was staying at a hotel up the street that offered typical soggy breakfast options) be sure to hit this place up!
It was amazing food and service!
Great people and great food. Breakfast was great and coffee is the best too.
We stopped here while out of town. The atmosphere reminded me.of the diners I went to with my grandparents. The service was excellent, the food was great and the price was good for the portion size, I had leftovers. The chef is visible.while.cooking the food, which was impressive to see the food being prepared right in front of you.u
My mother, sister and I attempted to bring our toddlers, a two-year-old and three year-old to IHOP this morning… The line was 45 minutes so we pulled up Google maps, search for breakfast, and found this hidden gem just five minutes down the road!… I’m so glad IHOP could not accommodate us! We have found our new favorite breakfast establishment! The service was absolutely exceptional, the food was delicious - top to the bottom we had an incredible experience. The staff were so accommodating to our tired and hungry, toddlers, and promptly help us meet every need we had. We cannot wait to return and try more of this yummy menu!
Very authentic, traditional American dinner atmosphere. The food is always awesome and not overly seasoned. We love this place
Excellent and quick service. Great food and a solid stop up interstate 87.
Nice portions. Everything was good. Good waitservice, but bill didn't match what we were served, on either visit. We'll be returning soon.
Had a delicious breakfast this morning. They did a great job, putting together a great plate, with my customary Meatllovers omelet, homefries, and toast. Service was awesome, getting my food out quickly and keeping my coffee cup full. Overall, had a very nice experience, and will be making a stop here again soon!
I had the 2 eggs with white toast, home fries, and bacon. Absolutely delicious. Food was quick to serve and super fresh. Staff is very friendly too, greeted several customers by name.
We always eat here whenever we are in Albany for Breakfast.. They serve very generous portions. This time we each had a breakfast special. My husband had the Boom boom Benedict (Which was eggs on ham on top of a toasted croissant) and I had the Scarmwich (scrambled eggs with tomatoes, peppers, onions wrapped in grilled pita)
Found it by looking up Diners by my nephews house. Food was great, large portions and not expensive. He got a burger I got a greek omelet and we were both happy!
Stopped here for breakfast before going to the airport and nring stuck eating and paying for airport food. Service was exceptional, restaurant was clean and the food although different in regards to how we normally see an omelet it was very good and huge servings. If you want a nice diner this is the place to go.
Dans II closed due the owner's Sudden death- very sad & it has rocked the community. So we have been out taste testing & decided Inga's is our new local "diner ". Inviting dining area with a traditional counter & stools ( yeh) with a bright blue wall. Great breakfast, lovely people running it. Soon they will know all our names too.
Classic "greasy spoon" type diner with all the standard breakfast/brunch options. The food is loaded with butter and flavor, the portions are huge, and every time I leave here I'm over-full in the best way.
I was just looking for a Breakfast spot at 12:30 and when it came up in my search i said What the hell!! Walked in to an almost full little diner so I sat at the counter and was greeted immediately and my food was cooked right in front of me and was done fast!! Nice little hometown Diner (could tell everyone knows everyone). So if your looking for quick breakfast this place is it, deff recommend
This is a great restaurant with some fantastic people running it! When we sat down to eat, we saw that it was packed. A regular there was talking to us about how it was the first time he's seen Inge's completely full. For a good reason too, it is truly a great atmosphere being ran by great people, but the food was also good! Nothing much to special about the food, just classic American diner food.
Great food!
Great breakfast. Building is small and run down but hey sometimes good food is in the least of expected places.
Best greasy spoon diner ever. I've been going there since high school. Trucker's special breakfast. 3 eggs, 4 strips of bacon, home fries with onion or none and toast. This used to be a old truck stop back in the 50's and 60’s. Nice waitresses and good cooks.
Great food short on help, short on available tables tight and loud when you have crying kids visiting in the group of customers
Great little diner. Full of locals so you know the food is good! The hotel for our stay offered breakfast but it was a bit sketchy at we found a local restaurant and Inge's was perfect.
The place looks like it's about to fall down, but it's obviously well-established with the locals which is always a good sign. Very casual and comfortable atmosphere, very friendly staff and patrons, but strangely tough pancakes.
Great food and great home fries always enjoyed 😉 coming here
I would have given it five stars because I love the place but I spent $46 on breakfast for two which included one order of two eggs and bacon and toast and coffee and the other order of a stack of pancakes three eggs sausage corned beef hash toast and a V8 and coffee. That was before the tip. But the food is awesome always cooked the right way. Just I know it's hard to run a business but those prices are ridiculous.
Donny let the rustic exterior with missing letters deter you from having a really good breakfast! We found this (what I would call, in a good way) hole-in-the-wall diner on our way up to a Vermont weekend. Five stars for food and service; four stars for ambience-definitely not a refined place but you don’t go for that! Be sure to read all the small boards around the grill-not all the offerings are on the menu OR the large specials board. Great food, great people (lots of thank you’s, you’re very welcomes and Good mornings!), great service and everything you want for a good, hearty breakfast. I recommend it!
Really like this place! Happy I stopped by. It doesn't look like much from the outside but, it looks a bit better on the inside. The service was 5 star! It feels like a family operating the business (and I think it is tbh). The food was perfectly home-cooked, beautifully prepared, nice presentation, good seasoning, and I liked the proportions. Only reason this was not a 5 star review is because of the physical appearance.
If you're looking for a solid diner meal, this is a good one to go to. We were looking for classic diner food and that's what we got. The portions are huge. I got the meat lovers omelette and my fiancee got the French toast with bacon. We recommend both options. This is a no frills diner. Quick service and good place to go if you're on the move.
Having not been here in a very long time decided to try something new for breakfast. The building still looks like it’s going to fall down in a day but all was well. As someone else said it has a cheers like vibe. I think I was the only one eating here that was not greeted by first name. The waitress was warm and friendly, and I sat at the counter. Cooking takes place both in the back and some on a grill directly behind the counter. The breakfast menu was fairly extensive supplemented by blackboard specials. I ordered the veggie omelette and added cheese, and when I asked for possible substitutions for the home fries, there were no options given. I suggested a sliced tomato and was told that there would be an up charge, which I agreed to. The coffee was good hot fresh served in a ceramic mug. The omelette was more like a scramble by that I mean, the contents were not contained within folded egg, but the veggies and cheese were throughout. It was a huge portion. The price was fairly high, even allowing for what is going on with eggs. Somehow breakfast wound up being $27 with a 20% tip. I don’t quite know how that happened even though you can see the check just like I can. Overall, it was a very good breakfast and I would say almost too much food. I could tell they cook with a lot of butter and between that on the cheese, it just may have been too much. The atmosphere is wonderful as I always look for places that have a 50s and 60 is kind of vibe, particularly with cooking directly behind the counter. I will be back.
Friend and I went on Wednesday to get some food it wasn't opened looked like there was some damage. We stopped next door at cider donuts and found out there was a fire. In the Facebook page the owner says they are going to be temporarily closed because they need renovations.
Meh. It was ok for a quick breakfast. The website came up when we asked for huevos ranchero, but that wasn't the case. They were quite busy, and the quality reflected it (undercooked eggs/over cooked potatoes). We'd give it another shot at some point, just bc it's a friendly place.
Very small portions . . No flavor . .
Nice and cozy little place.service was great and pleasant but my god the food was so exceptionally bland and undercooked, they served us white undercooked pancakes, not golden brown like every pancake ever before it. The homefries that started to get cooked, then the cook, decided undercooked everything was better for paying customers. Pancakes were beyond bland. Invest in a spice rack.
Inge's diner on Fuller Ave Albany N.Y.( mix review )The exterior building is run down ,screen door falling apart, interior needs painting, the short stack pancakes was homemade fluffy and delicious, link sausage delicious. French fries was typical frozen fare,French toast was soggy, should have soaked less time in custard. Link sausage delicious. Scrambled eggs fresh and fluffy, home fries was tasty but soggy should have dried out more on grill. Tea was typical lipton brand ,it would be nice if Inge's offered a variety to tea drinkers. I know we're in a financial recession but breakfast prices a bit high than most diners, other than being rundown Inge's has lots of potential if some t.l.c was implemented. If your in the area and crave homemade pancakes give this place a try. $$
I was quite disappointed after seeing such good reviews. The place was run down, but I was already there so gave it a shot. I ordered scrambled eggs, sausage patties and toast. Eggs were mediocre with 2 slices of white American cheese not quite melted on top. The sausage was soggy and rubbery. The potatoes were soggy, greasy and unseasoned. The toast came with unmelted margarine on it. I wish I could go back and un-eat it all.
Staff was friendly and attentive. Building is old and looks like it was a mobile home converted into a diner. Has a pungent odor inside that reminds me of a clogged septic system backing up.
Do not come here if you have a group larger than 4, they will not move the tables to accommodate. Food was mediocre, not hot. Eggs are left out on counters which is a code violation. 2 stars because our server was very nice.
They serve very generous portions of very average food. Our waitress was very nice and we didn't have to wait. The young daughter was helping and I really wanted this to be a go-to place. I love to support local and family owned business. Sadly, I cannot. The food was simply not good. They don't even use real butter. I got a short stack of pancakes with bacon. My daughter got scrambled eggs, home fries and sausage.. my pancakes were not good, had some kind of butter blend and the syrup was not good.. i couldn't eat half. The eggs were undercooked, the sausage greasy and the potatoes very average. I had asked before ordering if the corned beef hash was home made and the answer was no, so I didn't order it.
Order a bacon burger w/fries; fries was super burnt and bacon was burnt. Pregnant people like there food cooked well. Never again😒
Rude inattentive waitresse, Omelet looked as if it had fallen on the floor and was picked up and put on the plate. Home fries were wets and absolutely disgusting I'll never go back
We saw the great reviews and thought we would give it a try. It looks run down but that doesn't mean the food isnt good so we went in. We stood there waiting to see if someone would acknowledge us or seat us for several minutes. I am not sure if you are supposed to seat yourself or what but it doesn't take much to just acknowledge a family waiting to be seated. We just decided we didn't want to give our business to people with complete lack of common courtesy.
Disappointing Experience - Staff and Customer Behavior Needs Improvement I recently visited this diner after seeing positive reviews for their breakfast, and I chose it because it was conveniently located near my hotel. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected, and I was left genuinely shocked by the behavior of both the staff and a fellow customer. I arrived with my cat in a pet backpack. Typically, restaurants don't have an issue with pets as long as they're contained, but I always check first to make sure it's okay. While waiting for clarification from the waitress, one of the customers began yelling at my friend and me, calling us offensive names and making rude, racist remarks—despite my friend not even saying a word to him. It was both unprovoked and disturbing. When the waitress informed me that pets aren't allowed unless they’re service animals, I was more than willing to take my cat back to the car. However, as we were preparing to leave, one of the staff members— a man who appeared to be bald—became aggressively rude and told us to leave immediately. This, after we had already agreed to take our pet out as requested. It was incredibly disheartening that, rather than assisting or defusing the situation, the staff seemed to join in on the negativity. I understand that businesses need to have policies in place, but it's important that the staff also maintain professionalism and courtesy, which was sorely lacking here. I would strongly recommend that they make their pet policy clearer and provide better training on how to handle difficult situations without resorting to hostility. Based on this experience, I certainly won’t be returning, and I would caution others to think twice before visiting.
